    Fabulous on Fuwa - February!

    By Kaguya

Introduction   Welcome, fellow Fuwamembers, to the FuwaRecognition thread. Starting this March, we’ll be highlighting some of the best contributions made by our members each month. From snazzy blog articles to delicious forum threads, and perhaps even a few things more on the shitpost part of the spectrum, we'll keep an eye out for the cream of the crop. And then we'll gather them here. Just for you.   *holds up giant APPLAUSE sign*   A-hem, so this is the f

Venus Blood Series, In order from Abyss to Hypno

A Universal Issue Tentacle sex and rape are the two big downers to this series. For a series with such good writing, it is amazing how quickly it becomes repetitive once h-scenes get into the picture. On the bright side, corrupting the heroines in Empire, Frontier, and Hypno almost always has immensely hilarious results after the mindbreak. It is kind of irritating that you pretty much have to mindbreak them to get the really good strategic skills, though. Abyss To be honest, this is

New Covers From 6/14/15-6/21/15

Another week, another post. Let's get to the point, since I don't feel too great right now and want to stop moving for the rest of the night. First, Renai Circulation, which I got a request for a couple posts back. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8Yh3VCAP7M Next up, Distorted Pain. Denkare is the shit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oi8h34JLn_o Finally, Pandora no Rakuen from the euphoria OVA. My pick of the week, without a doubt. It was worth the months it took to find the inst

Being a father is hard work - Random Review - My Little Kitties (Korean Visual Novel)

Walking around Google Play can give you a lot of surprises (404: Advertisement not found). And some days ago, while looking for some good tower defense games to kill time, I accidentally stumbled into a nice-looking VN that is not even listed in VNDB for some reason: My Little Kitties - a Korean VN, adapted from a Korean light novel published by Novel Engine. It was released by tales# on March 2015 with the price of $5. It's loli! It's catgirl! There is just no reason for me to not throw money

Pupa Was A (Colossal) Mistake

This was a really tough thing for me to witness because I really like the original Pupa manga. It's not a masterpiece by any means, but it had some decent dark and psychological themes and an interesting pair of siblings as main characters. It's a horror story about some of the more grotesque things you could write about, a story about a sister who's forced to literally eat her brother in order to survive and they cope with it as well as the mad experiments going on in the background. But thi

Help raise awareness for suicide

In my game, Serious to the End, it tells of Aya being depressed with her life. Now understand this happens in real life too, many even taking it as far as killing other people for a happy ending. This doesnt happen in America it also happens in other parts of the world, it can be many reasons but the end result is the same. The game I made is to help people understand how suicidal people feel and how it's never that easy. I'm starting a campaign+crowdfunding, to help rise money or even spread th

New Covers From 6/7/15-6/14/15

Well, my first post like this was a success, so let's do it again, shall we? Great! Let's get down to the meat of this post. This was apparently the week of full versions, as 2 out of my 3 were full versions of songs I had already done. For example, the full version of Clear's OP, Garasu no Loneliness: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlNCfCjg5-o But sandwiched in between those two was a slightly more... ambitious project. This is probably my pick for the week in terms of quality and o

Gurenka Part 1: Common + Elsrise's Route

Introduction:   Gurenka (vndb) is made by Escu:de, a VN company which has a fairly long history of games I've never heard about. I stumbled upon the title on vndb (The naked red-haired girl in the screenshots had nothing to do with it, I swear!). As a Chuunibyou story, I thought I'd try to make a new start to the genre. My previous experiences in Chuunibyou ran me aground with 11eyes -Tsumi to Batsu to Aganai no Shoujo, which featured lack luster school slice-of-life combined with endl

First Post and about this Blog

Welcome to my VN Blog! As for a why I'm making this blog: I've always wanted to do write-ups on VN's I read. I admire those reviewers who can see deep into all levels of the story. It's also those people I depend on to make sense of mystery of complex VN's like Subarashiki Hibi or Cross Channel. But varying levels of astuteness aside, I love to share with others this hobby of VN's and see all the peoples' different reactions.   As for why I don't consider myself to be reviewing visual

Fuwa's Lovely Ms. Suikashoujo

Mr. Meogii's First Recognition Post. Hello Guys ! Meogii here, bringing you your ever so loved members' highlight. Today we will be zoning in on Suikashoujo. She has been a member of our community for almost a year now and it pains me to see that the majority of us do not yet know what she's been up to. She enjoys singing, so much so that she has taken it upon herself to make song covers to go along with her music. I don't know about you, but I don't think I'd ever find enough courage t

"Gaokao.Love.100days", and my dark past

Disclaimer: This is not a review. Warning: Contain spoiler about one (or more) ending of the game. I don't like VNs with heavy dating-sim element, like the Cation series or such. They usually have a really low score in my list. That's why when I first saw Gaokao.Love.100days on Steam, I did not care much about it, and wanted to just leave it alone (there is the fact that it's voiced in Chinese too). However, I still decided to give it a try, so I would have something to bash on my blog Res

Venus Blood Empire

Yes, I went and played a game in this series, mostly because Sanahtlig is an old friend and I didn't want to keep brushing him off. In fact, I'm marathonning this series starting with this game. First, an initial umbrella statement... this would have been a first-class story (though flawed) if it weren't for the massive amounts of tentacle rape and choukyou. Am I serious? Yeah. Despite everything, the base story is actually really good. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the gamepla

Venus Blood Hypno requires a font patch to display correctly in non-Japanese Windows

Edit: Easy fix for this problem provided by binaryfail (scroll to Edit 1)! After writing up my review for Venus Blood Gaia, I decided to launch into the next and most recent title in the series, Venus Blood Hypno.  To my chagrin, upon starting the game I was greeted with a screen similar to the one above.  Notice how the Japanese interface text is cut off? English players of Japanese-language PC games will be familiar with the various locale hoops that need to be cleared to get these g

Nosebleed/whore AU: Forbidden love Part I

Nosebleed guided whore by his hand. It was dark; they were walking among some trees. "Are you alright?" , Nosebleed turned his head back, slowly, trying to see whore's face through the darkness. Whore nodded. They reached a glade. The moon allowed them to see each other's faces. Nosebleed had a different wig: still Nico's black hair, but he wasn't using twintails. Princess whore had a passionate, yet afraid, gleam in her eyes. Whore got near the river flowing down there. She saw her refl

Rensou Relation and VN of the Month Announcement

This is the newest title from Lump of Sugar, and as is typical of their recent productions, it has a needlessly complicated system for story progression that would have driven me insane inside ten minutes if I hadn't dled the patch that removes the gimmicks from their site. From what I've heard, LoS finally heard the screaming of their fans, that they didn't want anything to do with the pointless gimmicks that plagued Unmei Senjou no Phi and Magical Charming. Kind of sad that it took them a f

Nosebleed/whore AU: Love and vendetta

"Nico Nico nii..." Nosebleed looked at himself in the mirror. So... Beautiful... The clothes, the hair, the body, the makeup: all he's always dreamed of. He looked perfectly like his beloved idol. But one thing was missing: a crown. To fulfill his dream of becoming as beautiful as a princess. He took the diamond crown from the table and put it on his wig, smoothly. Someone opened the door. "It's time to settle things up, NOSEBLEED." Whore said it firmly while entering the room. That female

Ayakashi Contract: Final Part

Haruka Haruka is the traditional 'older woman' heroine that used to be included in just about every VN, as a token to those who preferred that type. Of course, they don't come out and say how much older she is, but considering that she was in her teens when Tsumugi was a toddler... Anyway, she is a spiritualist/youkai hunter who comes to the town with the intention of hunting down a man-eater that is supposedly hidden in the populace. She gets wrapped up in the events of the main story in
