Into The Depths
Dungeon diving into winding mazes filled with danger and treasure has been a persistent fantasy and a genre of game seemly at odds with visual novels due to its high emphasis on its own mechanics. Looking at titles like Etrian Odyssey might lead to you to believe that this is a genre which does not care about story. However, among them are a subset striving to reach fo
ef is an objectively good visual novel that is written well that feels like it has a point even to its most plodding sections. It is a mostly serious story of imperfect people making imperfect decisions based on imperfect information. It has a few standout sections, but also has a few weak sections. The music in particular is outstanding. Reading it is an experience that feels unique, but I struggle to say it was very enjoyable or provided a lessen or food for thought. This will be completely sp
Welcome to this week VNTS Review. For the title, because we have Futamata Ren'ai in QC with the VN tried to make the MC like Makoto of School Days along with ToHeart Remake trial release, I made the parody of the older VN from 0verflow (The developer of School Days) where they started their crazy, I mean intricate world building, Snow Radish Vacation, by changed 'Snow' into 'Heart', so we have 'Heart Radish Vacation' as the title. For this week, obviously this is a breather after the last week w

This review is going to read like a mess because of all the spoiler text, if you'd prefer to read this on VNDB you can here: https://vndb.org/w13482
All specific spoilers will be marked with how major or minor I feel they are. Outside of spoilers I'll use as much general language as possible to avoid them.
I'd recommend Waremete to most readers who want a romantic comedy with some cute moments but a healthy dose of plot. The downside to the plot is that a lot of things are repea
For this week title, because we finally have Ushinawareta Mirai o Motomete full translation patch available, I made parody of its English title, In Search of the Lost Future, with I changed the word 'Future' into 'Jewel', so we have 'In Search of the Lost Jewel' as the title. As for the reason on why I chose the word 'Jewel', it's because I decided to shortened the title as Ushieta with that word is from the characters from a fanfic that has the story about the search of the mythical jewel, Ushi
If there's a quick way to describe Raillore to people I think it'd be, "Sorcery Jokers but a bit worse". So if you've read or tried Sorcery Jokers before, then that's the easiest way to tell you if you should give Pillagers of Raillore a try or not.
It has two protagonists, both of which are at least a half-step down from their Sorcery Jokers counterparts. Reno is basically a robot man who gets a bit frustrating to read since he's always asking for orders - although it isn't as common as "

Being a spin off of the Date A Live franchise, Rio Reincarnation is saddled with a set of pre-existing expectations from fans while also not having the ability to progress the overarching narrative of the series. In many ways this is
For this week title since we had Yoru ga Kuru released with the story resemble Persona 3 and Alicesoft add Remaster label, I decided to add the word 'Reload' in the English title of it (Square of the Moon), even though Alicesoft didn't do much improvement on Yoru ga Kuru compared to what Atlus did on Persona 3. Anyway, compared to the last week we have fewer release, so it's pretty obvious that this week is a breather one. That said, there's still some interesting announcements, such as Nekopara
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and because we have Perennial Dusk released, I decided to make the parody of the writer's previous work (Sakura, Moyu. -as the Night's, Reincarnation-) by changing 'Sakura' into 'Kinsenka' from Perennial Dusk full title, Hanataba o Kimi ni Okurou -Kinsenka-, and 'Reincarnation' into 'Celebration', with the latter from Sakura Celebration that Nekonyan finally finished with, which is quite fitting seeing we have witch in Sakura Celebration with it the closest thin

This is going to end up being a rather general review of Kinsenka because there's an awful lot in this visual novel and not much of the story can be spoken about without going into some spoilers.
Positives:
- Emotional scenes and stories within stories. This visual novel got me emotional multiple times throughout starting from relatively early on.
- Just enough tone changes so that the story does not become one-note. Some sections had some comedy or some light slice of life sec

Welcome to the VNTS Review for this week. For the title because we have Putrika released with the opening has focus on the jewel, I made the reference of Cabbage Soft's Jewelry series with I add 'Lights' from Perennial Dusk's writer previous work (Irotoridori no Hikari with 'Hikari' mean light) and 'Aria' from Iwakura Aria, so we have 'Jewelry Light Aria'. For this week, the most obvious thing is that it was very active compared to the last week with several releases along with the publishers an

The Magic Of Buttons
One of the most underappreciated areas in a visual novel is the work which goes into its UI design. An ideal UI will never draw attention to itself and become a natural extension of the player’s engagement with the game. This is not an easy thing to achieve since a balance has to be struck between its presence on screen, its ease of use and its aesthetics. Over th
Love Generation (1997) ended up the only to my liking while Virgin Road (1997) is more of a honorary masterpiece.

Welcome to this week VNTS Review. By the way, in term of music Da Capo mean 'play the song from the beginning', which is synonymous with reset. For this week, we have several new VNs announced at Anime Central, although to be frank none of those a

Beyond The Screen
Directly addressing the nature of the medium and the player has a long tradition within video games as a means of introspection and entertainment. The Meta Fiction genre is something visual novels have dipped their toes into over the years with varying degrees of commitment to its use. This manifests through everything from playing with the games systems, jokes by ch
Because I see the word 'San Shimai' in GL VN Affection with said word remind me of very old VN Three Sisters Story, I made the parody of another old VN localized by JAST, The Sagara Family, by changing 'Sagara' into 'Viscotte' with Viscotte is from the family in Affection, so we have 'The Viscotte Family' as the title. For this week, the main highlight is the updates from Sekai. Other than that, we also have the aforementioned Affection release along with the announcement of the exact release da
For this week title, because we have Kiminozo Restoration project along with Sousaku Kanojo translation project, I combined both with 'Rumbling' is from Kiminozo English title (Rumbling Hearts) and 'Romance' is from Sousaku Kanojo full title (Sousaku Kanojo to Ren'ai Koushiki with Ren'ai mean romance), so for the title we have 'Rumbling Romance'. Anyway, for this week we have both Mangagamer and Frontwing announced the same exact date for their respective VNs release, Raillore and Perennial Dusk

As for this week, other than Sakura Wars 2 we also have relatively big release with Hundred Lines with Danganronpa staffs work together with Uchikoshi to write it. Other than that,

Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and because we have the updates from Mangagamer in regard of Raillore and Luckydog I decided to make a parody of a famous novel from 1872, A Dog of Flanders, by changed 'Flanders' into 'Raillore' so we have 'A Dog of Raillore' as the title. This week we have Mangagamer's update along with some fan translation project and also some new title announcements, although to me the main interest is only in the updates, so this w
