    Guess the Anime game

I've seen other forums do this, so we should do the same. The rules are simple, you post a screencap of an anime, and we guess the show/movie. Try not to use really obscure screencaps. Please don't use google image search, it ruins the game. Winner gets a point, and gets to pick the next screencap. If someone can't guess it in say 1 week, then submit more screencaps (up to the discretion of the submitter when to submit more). I'll go first Scoreboard: 1st: Kendjin - 17 points 2nd: Down - 15 points 3rd: Eldin - 11 points Clannad Fan - 11 points Ryoji - 8 points Mikel - 7 points Luch - 6 points Redgrave - 6 points Secchan - 4 points VN-Angel - 4 points Wolfscythe - 3 points Tief Blau - 3 points Beato - 3 points alden_0023 - 2 points Solidbatman - 2 points Nayleen - 1 point Hexa - 1 point Sparkker - 1 points WhisperByte - 1 points Fujimoto Takahashi - 1 points Snowtsuku - 1 points Azaki - 1 points Eurobeatz - 1 points iLegend - 1 points (Ties are determined by activity) Updated Nov 9 2013

  2. This started from another thread I have created here. I for one, would be interested in reading some otaku themed creepypasta . If you're in the mood to write one, feel free to post it here! To start things off, I'll share a Hyouka one I came up with a while back. * * * This happened a while ago, but I was too distraught to talk about it until now. Hyouka was a series that aired during a recent anime season. If you’re a Twitter friend of mine, you’ll know I really like Chitanda. Many people do. Her insatiable curiosity is just so lovable. That all changed after a particular Hyouka episode I watched. If you type in “Chitanda empty eyes” on Google Images, it’s the first result you’ll see. That’s all I’ll say. I no longer remember which episode this took place in, and I never want to know. Please, just, keep the episode number to yourselves. It happened on a Friday night. I was hoping to relax after a week’s work by downloading the latest Hyouka episode. Truth be told, the episode was average, but Chitanda was charming as always, so that’s okay. About three quarters of the way through, Oreki said something to Chitanda. What he said, I can no longer recall. I wished I could just forget this entire episode. Too bad that was impossible. Not after what I saw. After Oreki spoke, the scene cut to a close up of Chitanda looking delighted. For some reason, her eyes were void of highlights. I assumed the artists forgot to paint them in. That was when my screen froze. As I was forced to stare into Chitanda’s empty eyes, a deep groan came through my headset. It sounded like “気” dragged out for eternally. Something like, “kiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii”. The image of Chitanda grew more pixelated with each passing second. Eventually, glitches covered the entire screen. Then, the voice vanished, replaced by a silence that haunted me even more. The screen turned black, and a line of Japanese text appeared. My Japanese is far from great. Still, I knew enough to know what it said. “Curiosity will be your undoing.” Below that was a date. I never got a chance to read it, because VLC Player closed on its own. For a full minute, I sat there and gazed at my downloads folder. There was no way that just happened. Despite knowing it was a bad idea, I decided to check out the episode again. But the file was no longer there. Well, I do have lots of files in that folder. I must have just missed it. No. Three more checks, and the file was still nowhere to be found. That weekend, I came down with a fever. One that took me a full week to recover from. Afterward, I asked several close friends if they’ve had the same experience while watching the episode. They always see their shows through the same source as mine, after all. But they all said no to my question. I never rewatched that episode again. Hell, I considered dropping the entire series. In the end, I did finish the show, and no more activity occurred. Still, I must say I like Chitanda a little less than I used to.

    Anime Jukebox Quizz

Ok, here's an idea I totally took from another forum I browse. Let me first explain what it is and then tell me what you think about it, if you think it'll go well I'll post a first quizz. The principle is simple: one member posts a quizz consisting of about 10 tracks, all coming from different anime OP/ED/OST. Everyone else tries to guess what anime each track belongs to BY SENDING A PM TO THE QUIZZ POSTER (for obvious reasons you don't post your answers on the topic...). After, say, 1 week, the quizz poster gives the results, and the one with the highest score (the more answers found) gets to do the next quizz. If he can't/don't want/whatever, someone else can volunteer to make the next quizz. Try to mix OST tracks and OP/ED. OP/ED are easier to find, and you can google up the lyrics and see if something comes up, while you can't do that for OST tracks and they're usually much harder to find (try to pick the 'main' tracks of the OST, the themes, not the obscure BGM heard only once). I'm not sure this can work on this forum, because there are a lot of people here and lots of participants means lots of work for the quizz poster and a potential mess, so let me know what you think about it. Edit: This first post is a bit of a mess, I'll make it better once my head will be clearer. Too much queuing theory right now. See Quizz #1 a few posts below.

  4. Hmm out of these 5..... to be honest I was disappointed with all except Zettai Karen Children: Unlimited and Psycho Pass. And even those were lacking. Im sure we'll get some kind of future season of Zettai Karen Children: Unlimited so we'll see where they go from here. As far as the last 3 ill keep this brief becasue im going to be doing a FULL REVIEW of all of this seasons shows (that i actually watched some i dropped) Oreshura: started out great, ending was just bad Maoyuu Maou Yuusha: Didnt really end, disappointing. Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai: Great show, CRAP end. Look forward to my End Season Review of all the great shows this season. (there was a bunch) EDIT: Edited Topic Title
