That's an important discussion which -- you're right -- needs to be explored. The short version is that I can't keep up that same number of weekly hours. Things need to change. That's certainly a big contributing factor behind these changes. I know very well that I need to scale back significantly from the minutiae, empower the staff to handle much of what I used to do, and move many of the projects into the community's hands. Admittedly I have no doubt that there will be an end-game for me. Right now I perceive that end game will be once I know that Fuwanovel has a better internal structure and self-identity, and is moving again towards the end goal of supporting and promoting Visual Novels (and VN elements) in the West. Maybe that'll be in eight months. Maybe in a year. Maybe more. I'm committed to seeing Fuwanovel into its next chapter, and finding the right people to lead it forward. Until then, I'll be here. Fuwanovel and all of my experiences here have had a major impact in my life. I'll try and be as smart as I can about setting it up for success and balancing my life/responsibilities.

I keep pretty much every thing I download since space isn't an issue for me (my folder is of a similar size, I'm up to 84 games), but if it's a concern for you or if you just simply want to be more refined in your collection/archive then I would recommend removing the following: Any Softhouse-Seal title; e.g. SSSS, Throbb, Sexy Demon Transformation, Boobwars (I found the 2nd one's absurdity decently amusing), anything else I might have missed Harem Party Kozukuri Banchou Professor Cherry Cat Girl Alliance Bazooka Cafe Koisuru Oukoku (I found the gameplay to be too tedious for me to enjoy for what it is). Harukoi Otome (Might be worth keeping for a quick read, but it's not too solid of a VN). Of the ones that people have rommended to remove that I would personally keep: Sengoku Rance - The gameplay and decently amusing cast makes it worth holding onto in my opinion. Your mileage may vary for the erotic content Wanko to Kurasou - The erotic content isn't that good and I would say the story is one or two throws short of passable, but it's a short, easy read that might tickle you if you have certain fetishes or just want to kill half an afternoon. In truth though, if space isn't an issue I would try out some of the ones you haven't played before deleting them. Nukige can be hit or miss depending on your tastes, so you might find something you want to keep. If nukige isn't your thing at all, then obviously just delete anything that falls under that tag.

I don't think I'm ready to see Fuwanovel players going apeshit over a loss ranked game yet. Those smiling loli faces will be never be the same again.

A translation is far better than no translation at all and instead having to read one through a machine. I can come to accept that the TL is flawed as I've read many of them myself and was aware of it, yet still found immense enjoyment out of those VNs nonetheless. And at the least, it most certainly isn't so dramatically flawed if it had any serious thought put into its translation (which I'm sure Amaterasu is serious). People can't screw something up so badly unless they could care less about their work. Either way, I think we'll all mostly enjoy the VN as long as it isn't blatantly flawed. It's thanks to the team who put out the effort that this was able to be seriously completed, so I'm really grateful.

I would like to register myself here as a lolicon. Am I seriously the only one that saw that Okami was on topic and was right? The penalization for the act of sexualizing a child in fiction or not seems to be with the topic at hand. Also maybe its because I am still relatively young but I still remember what it was like when I first took up interest in girls in a sexual way. I was maybe 10 or 12? The girls I had a sexual interest in were about my same age. Why is it so wrong for a person to keep that sexual consciousness that we all had at that age? Do I like children? Well I mean we are talking about Lolis. Lolis are for the most part a fictional 2d object in your head. If you love them in a sexual way that does mean you would rape them even if you could. Though, you can't(yet). So, whats the harm? Also, even if you want to say that they are sexual symbols for kids. Sure that could easily be argued. However, they are enhanced versions that hardly resemble actual kids. They have more sensual bodies and erotic adult behavior. I mean my favorite loli is Shinobu. Sure she is similar to a kid. But I dare any of you to find a picture of a kid that resembles her adult charm and cute juxtaposition of old and young.

Can't really say I'll ever find the sexual or romantic appeal in lolis. It's an alien concept to me. When I see a cute loli across my screen I think about wanting to adopt one. How frightening would it be if I was the only parent of a loli here? I had this whole image of an apple and orange last night when I was reading this. When I came to this morning, both fruits were back in their respective baskets. If I had to make a conjecture, I would say Niko is an undercover cop or knows one around here. Fortunately Okami sensed his amateur detective work. He saved himself from using an alibi (in case he was carted off last night), by not allowing himself to be baited using words beyond "moral subjectivity" and "breaking the low" instead of "breaking the law."
