A big thanks to everybody who suggested ways we can better support this forum. I heard three requests over and over in the general feedback thread and in private: We need a separate "Projects" board for launched projects (for organization's sake, and because with the other fan TL discussion it's easy for projects to get buried) Project managers need more control (software control) over a launched project's thread Something like a tagging system (or something similar) which could highlight updates to a project would be beneficial I think all of those things are great ideas. Here's what I plan to do: I'll be rolling out a new "Ongoing Projects" forum (which will separate and contain all the Fan TL/OELVN projects which have launched) today or tomorrow Part of the reason for a separate forum is because it will make it easier for me to empower project managers and give them more software control over their threads Tagging functionality (or something similar) and additional control will be implemented as soon as IPBoard launches their upcoming big update and I can gauge how badly it'll break the forums ; ) Thank you for all of your hard work. Please don't be afraid to speak up in the future and let us know what you need.

Considering how this was all your decision, you have no obligation to be doing anything for us. First of all, there is a (?) on the title because I have no fucking idea of what to call this, I used that name but it doesn't actually suit the project at all. When recommended a novel, people usually look for it's synopsis, screenshots and maybe some reviews, that's where some problems arise. Reviews at best 8/10 contain spoilers usually without warning and in the middle of the text, some might not mind but there are those who don't enjoy being heavily spoiled. This project seeks something different, it's not a review, I'd say it's closer to being an analysis of the general game, I honestly don't know how to exactly put it into words. The basic idea is to get a VN and give an unbiased "analysis" of it, not saying if it's good or not, leaving that for the reader to decide if it'll be worth a shot. I'll leave here the one I did as an example, I guess it'll be easier to understand the objective of this after reading it. Keep in mind that the images might get out of place since it'll be in a spoiler to avoid using too much space. Voice Acting The voice acting was professional and the cast matched well the personalities of each character. H-Scenes Grisaia's H-Scenes have a good quality and can to some extent be considered relevant to the plot and/or as an extension of the relationship. Some of them insert comic dialogues and sometimes they might be a little too lengthy Art OST I’ll leave here two of them to demonstrate: For dramatic scenes – Want to Smile… For retarded scenes – Colorful Seeds Game system The game system is pretty good and is open to customization in possibly every needed part. The saves are limited but there is a reasonable amount of slots so it’s hard to believe they won't be enough, either way once you finish the first route you’ll gain access to the Scene Gallery so you can overwrite older files if needed. Since the game is really long it's interesting to mention that the game offers a scene skip/skip to next choice option. The analysis would be all in the same thread since having one for each would be unnecessary. I'd appreciate everyone's thoughts about this, things like ways you believe it could be improved or reasons why you disapprove of it.

I'm always looking for LN fans to recommend this to, but they are very few as of late. Most of the otakus that I've met are into VNs, manga, anime and games. I rarely see people that read LNs, and if they do, it's usually due to an anime adaptation. If you haven't, then I highly recommend you to read Utsuro no Hako to Zero no Maria (or HakoMari for short!). HakoMari is the best work of fiction I've ever seen, not just the best light novel. You should definitely give it a shot, if you don't mind it being very dark. It's one of the very few things that I would call a masterpiece. The way the author writes really draws you into the deep and complex story. He loves to lead you in with clues and then surprises you at every turn.The characters are all fleshed out and very unique. At least for now, when this issue is still mostly hypothetical, the projects board can be used by anybody as long as legitimate development is going on. I agree a commercial project should be up front about their aims (so volunteers know what they're getting into), but their business model is their own.

Time for OP to post his opinion. What do you think about cliches? Every cliche that now is branded as cliche, at some time was the most original and inovational idea for it's age. Every original will eventually turn into cliche and this process is most likely unavoidable so we should at least try to utilise cliches so that they aren't boring and repetetive. Every show has it's cliches but if they are executed well nobody will pay attention to that highly "original" development. Are they good? are they bad? I wouldn't say that they are good or bad. Cliches are just essential no matter how many try to deny it. What kind of cliches do you know? do you hate them? do you like them? There are enermous amount of cliches I could try to count, even for one genre so I'll limit it to several genres. Cliches that piss me off - Cofee Ver. Shoujo; Entrance Ceremony => Girl meets bad boy while bad boy is hooking up with other girl => "kyaa, you're the worst" => "Hey, I like you' you're going to become mine => after several chapters of heavy blushing, jealousy and forced kiss with rape attempt they happily hook up. If you go to Baka-Updates Manga http://www.mangaupdates.com/ and search for the manga, it will tell you the start and finish chapters for the corresponding anime, which I have found really helpful multiple times (say, like with Hourou Musuko, which starts and ends in the middle of the manga). Most manga websites are similar, just find one who's UI you happen to enjoy. I havent read the manga for that anime (was pretty great anime though), so I can't help with number 3

Hi The anime was adapted from a Light Novel. The Light Novel is currently being translated by Baka Tsuki. They just started it. Not sure if there are any solid explanations for それ and これ in regards to what you are looking for. Just stick with the basic idea that これ = this それ = that. In regards to your specific example, yes, それ is referring to 目の前に元気な桃花がいれば. The reason it uses それ instead of これ there is more or less the same reason we would use "that" instead of "this". It has a more distant feel than "this". It uses that in this case since it's like "that is an answer right?". これが答えだろう would say "this is an answer right?". I don't really know how to particularly answer your question since this is a very case based thing in my opinion and there aren't particularly any set rules besides the basic definitions of the words.
