You literally forget that Clannad had more or less a finished TL (it was badly done, but still something to start from) and Planetarian had a great TL made by Insani. Licensing those two titles was only a matter of time; since even before SP got funded, guys who formed it stated plenty of times, that if anything KEY gets ever released on the west, it will most definately be Clannad and Planetarian. Now you have it. It's a nice accomplishment, but don't even think about resting on your laurels. If anything, this is just the beggining and any communities involved in visual novels will have a lot to do from now on. SP isn't any different from Jast or MG - their only difference lies in the fact they are less restricted in terms of licensing games, but they follow the same rule that applies to any publisher, as in either bringing the most profitable titles out, or publishing games that require little to no work. The good side is they are constantly improving and looking for community feedback. I guess that's our main task - share knowledge and guide our western publishers, so they can release good and profitable titles on the west. The more profitable this business becomes, the more chances are the japanese studios open their doors and start looking forward to partnerships with western publishers.

I guess a literal interpretation would be, like most of our organs we don't decide the rhythm of our heart's beat, but it's still apart of us. The subconscious (right) part of the brain is a highly complex, functioning system that punches inputs and the conscious mind doesn't truly understand it. That's because the right brain doesn't speak so to say. It can be influenced by the left brain and it can also be influenced by all external factors around it. It can even function independently for itself when the corpus callosum is severed.

I watched Clannad with my friend yesterday and the day before, and just... damn. The feels are real. It's the 4th time I've seen it, but I still get teary at certain parts.

It's lively and diverse enough. And feels quite a bit more personal to me at least.

Download AE and follow these steps: Open AE. Go to Data Tool tab and select the NOT (X = X XOR $FF) option. Click Process data and choose the file Modules/pf.dat Now a file called pf.dat~ (with tilde) has been created in the same folder, and is editable in a text editor. Search for "font" and you'll find the declaration. Search for Title to change the game's title! Search for Messages to find some save/load dialogs that need translation! There are numerous declaration of fonts for various uses (like name font, dialog font...) From my experience the game probably uses the same font everywhere, but you don't have to (if for example you you want another font to display the characters' names). But you should probably start with one font and see how it goes... Change to the font of your liking and repeat stages 1-2 for the pf.dat~ file. A new file called pf.dat~~ will be created. Replace the original pf.dat file with the new pf.dat~~ file and enjoy I think Rejet are using the game engine for all of their games, so hopefully it will work for you. Also note that you should export the font as ttf (and not otf) since said engine only supports that.

Yamato is portrayed as being a genius, but that aspect of his character isn't really written very well. Like, the game wants us to think he is and tells us he is, but from his actions and such, he doesn't seem like much of a genius. Just a somewhat smart kid. I found most of his intellectual accomplishments somewhat lackluster. I'm aware that by criticizing any aspect of Majikoi, I'm automatically put on a hitlist by certain fuwa users and will be targeted for assassination, so let me just put the disclaimer that I think it's a good and funny game and please god don't kill me.

That's like saying: mozart is awesome but his stuff is 300 years old so it doesn't really matter anymore. Age on its own doesn't diminish a product's value (well unless that product is food that can go bad), the fanbase loves Clannad, therefore it's logical to think that if they release this product people will want to buy it. Nothing wrong with it being 10 years old. And i'm sure if we support it then we will see even bigger and more recent titles. It's all about creating a solid foundation.
