The Abilities of Clephas, the Infinite Stomach 'Infinite Stomach'- Clephas' Creation ability. It allows him to force those within the area of effect to recognize the reality that they exist within his stomach on an absolute level, causing their very existence to be 'digested' and turned into nutrients. Since this ability essentially just reveals the truth about the multiverse, it is basically a really, really powerful illusion-breaking spell. Spell Chant: 肉、肉、肉！　この世界は肉でできている！　われには食べないものはない！　食べるとは愛であり、憎悪であり、そして敬意でもある！　われは捕食者の神、弱肉強食の王、すべての世界を食べるものなり！　創造、無限胃袋！ Absolute Existence- Clephas' constant-effect ability. If his avatar is destroyed, another one will simply manifest at the same time in order to prevent the paradox of the universe existing without him. Stomach Creation- The ability to manifest new worlds, dimensions, and universes to Clephas' convenience within his infinite stomachs. Most people devoured by Clephas end up in one of his many stomach-worlds. World Devour- Clephas periodically devours newborn universes, adding them to his infinite stomachs. Clephas' indigestion- Has unpredictable effects, such as tears in the fabric of reality, earthquakes, volcanoes, supernovas, black hole formations, and big bangs. Clephas Spits- Clephas can instantly summon anything existing within his many stomachs by spitting it out. Cannibalism is Love- Clephas' sealed ability, which, when released through excessive hunger, causes him to devour anyone present, brainwashing them into Clephas Cultists in the process, adding them to his armies of lovingly hungry followers. Clephas' Boredom- When Clephas becomes bored, iron spikes begin to randomly impale lolis manifested from thin air, demon cats start playing with human heads, and for some reason, the blob behind the bar begins serving drinks.

My brain is pretty much fried from working on a game all day. So before I go sleep, I'm curious if any of you would even be interested in what I'm trying to make? Here's the idea: a 2D turn-based rogue-lite dungeon crawler, where rather than having one character you have a bloodline of characters, sort of like Rogue Legacy. However unlike RL, your main goal is to rescue a princess from a dungeon to be able to continue your bloodline. Both you and the princesses have a set of genes, such as "Str" or "Int", which determine the stats of your descendant (higher values are more dominant). But while you can see both of your genes for a stat, for example your "Str" genes are 50/30, making your actual Str 50 because 30 is lower and therefore recessive, you can only see the princess' stats, ie you only know her dominant genes, when you pick a princess to rescue, so if her Str stat is 50 you'd only see her "Str" genes as 50/? when in reality she might be 50/20. So your descendant would have an equal chance of his "Str" genes being 50/50, 50/30. 50/20, or 30/20. That's the basic concept, does that sound interesting to you? And I'm going to make it regardless of what people say, so feel free to be brutally honest.

Hello there and welcome to the forums, Sirjabberwock (I LOVE your name, btw. Through the Looking-Glass <3). From my experience with "learning Japanese", I can only tell you how utterly simple yet time-consuming the whole process is. Though, this depends on if you aim to 'master' japanese, or if you want to become 'accustomed' to it instead. If it's the latter, then you'll only have to spend a few months at most with a lot of free time. Mastering japanese takes years, however. My method for getting used to it was (enough to read it pretty well, but not to write/speak it effortlessly); taking in the entirety of Tae Kim's Guide on Japanese Grammar whilst at the same time reading various untranslated eroge using ITH+TA with Mecab and JParser (no machine translation). There are, what I feel, several perfect-tier guides on this whole process (Aero's Guide), and it can help you tremendously... both for boosting your psychological motivation going through the process, and just generally making it quicker to learn japanese. You'll get to gradually learn the language as well as reading some of the truly wonderful, yet untranslated stories within eroge out there. I really hope this helps you on your road to success in the Japanese language, and if you don't particularly mind, I could even give you some suggestions on what to read (though there is a 'picture guide' for that, which would be far more suitable, tbh). =) Wish you luck with your endeavors. ^^

It's a bit of an oldie but I've always been fascinated with Light Yagami from Death Note and that whole big debate over how much of a villain he actually was.

Waiting 7 days for 20 minutes of entertainment is not my thing. And if that episode is bad / is a filler episode, it will be such a letdown. Also, following multiple shows will ruin the immersion, imo.

I value the interactivity in non-gameplay VNs very lowly. I get no sense of accomplishment from picking the correct choices. It's also why I don't mind kinetic novels at all. I prefer VNs where the choices are clear so I don't have to read a walkthrough.

(Cross-referencing my earlier post in the podcast thread here) So I listened to the rest of the episode and gotta say, there was some insightful stuff in there, even for those who're fairly involved in the internals anyway... These need to happen more often though, because I've learned more from it than from talking to people for the past 2 1/2 months.

Here are the lists I want the most: Unoriginal: Accelerator's vector powers - well I don't really understand how it works, but what I know is OP Emiya Shirou's tracing - creating weapons out of nowhere? Works for me! Emiya Kiritsugu's Time alter - More like an escape skill during fights Original : Slayer/Mercy mode: Mercy mode enhance all my weapons into non lethal weapons, but only suck life force/energy and replenish self. Note that it suction rate can be controlled and life force can be used as regeneration to either user or cast it on others. For example getting slashed by Mercy katana won't kill or injure you, but you will only feel energy-less and lose the ability to even move a finger.

Having a superpower like Chelsea from Akame ga Kill would be kind of cool. I could change myself to anything I want. I guess it's also similar to something like Mystique from X-men too. or the power to the instantly teleport myself or anything around me, similar to Kuroko in The Railgun (except infinite distance, and I could teleport things without directly touching too).

Contradictory Conjunction - It's a style, rather than a power in the original work. It makes use of the word "therefore." "He is stronger, therefore I can win." "I lost my head, therefore it's still in the right place" "I died, therefore I'm alive" "That attack will kill me, therefore I'll survive" Irreversible Destruction - The destruction done by the user is irreversible. Someone killed by this can't be revived, a broken bone can't be healed, etc. Encounter - Any kind of damage is pushed away, for they all are nothing but an unexpected accident. This applies not only to physical damage, any mental damage can be pushed away as well. Scar Dead - An ability that reopens any wounds ever inflicted on the target, it applies to mental wounds as well. All Fiction - The power to deny any aspect of reality. So to say, it ends the argument "Which came first, the egg or the chicken?" by saying "Sorry, I ate them both." Devil Style - This is basically anti-protagonists. It nullifies coincidence and luck. So to say, fate can't interfere. Things like: "A fatal blow missed by luck" or "Barely missed the final attack" don't happen. Life Zero - Nullifies any kind of skill. Book of the End - A power manifested as a sword, whose cut trigger the effect of splitting the victim's past, it literally inserts the user into it. The Fear - Induces the victim into limitless fear. I guess these are my top favorites, maybe I'm missing some. Oh, they're in no particular order.

It's easily thaumaturgy as it's portrayed as a discipline in Vampire the Masquerade. It's has a number of versatile paths, covering things from influencing and controlling minds, flying and teleporting,necromancy, to even using blood as a weapon. My favorite paths are the Path of Neptune (let's you do some really cool things, like turn someone's blood into water or instantly dehydrate someone) and the Path of Blood, which lets you boil your enemies blood from within or use your own blood as a missile or shield.

ooo I like this thread. If I had to pick a "superpower," it'd be omnipotence. It carries with it immortality of course and the thing that intrigues me most about having the power of a god is actually quite nerdy. I'd love to know the statistics of the universe. You know how people are always doing polls on the percentage of people who [insert something here]? I'd love to be able to know the exact stats of the world offhand.

Depends on what you call boring. When taking superpowers, you don't want to pick something too strong like omnipotence- that would be a blast for some time, maybe a few years, but then things would get way too boring. Omniscience is even worse. Immortality would be an exciting one if you can stand pain, since it'd allow you to be as reckless as you possibly could imagine. Conquer the world with an army made only of yourself? No problems, you'll get there eventually. Not feeling pain would give a big plus to it, though. Time travel is also one of the most reckless ones- butterfly effect for the win. I'm the careful type, so I'd stick with the ones that'd give fun but still would be safe. Mind control was the first thing I thought of.
