Hi there. I'm solidbatman. I head up FuwaReviews, but I don't actually write the reviews. I just tell others what to review. But now, I will be writing exclusive reviews just for you forum peeps. Introducing, Cover Reviews! In this series of posts, I will review a random VN I find on VNDB, using only the cover art, and sample images provided in VNDB. First up, Homura no Matsuri Images in spoilers may be NSFW Characters (From Left to Right) Sally, Yuki-chan, Reiasuka, Franklin Homura no Matsuri tells the story of four girls, and one unnamed guy who must go on a journey to find Yuki-chan some new clothes after hers get ruined in a mud battle with Franklin. Yuki-chan manages to win the battle, but at what cost? Franklin no doubt will want revenge.

"It doesn't follow the VN" isn't an argument against it at all. They announced from the beginning that new elements would be incorporated. As long as it's good it doesn't matter, in fact it brings some spice for people who read the VN and want a bit more than just what they read already with shiny SFX.

Hey Fuwa! I've been thinking a lot lately. Mainly on how I will be able to contribute to the community. This was hard because I'm not particularly good at the technical side of visual novels and I'm not a translator either. However, recently I've been making signatures for other users here and it turns out that I really like it. And So I thought why not make a "signature thread" for all the users here who would like signatures. All you have to do is let me know what you like by following the requirements below. 1.) Pm a link to your favorite picture 2.) If any text is desired, please pm the specific text with the picture. 3.) Do me a favor and post back your signature here so everyone can have a look at it 4.) Ah yeah, the traditional Chuablesoft's lock. The number will change each time you reopen the game/click ok, so you should find a list of japanese number in hiragana/kanji from google, then turn on the japanese keyboard and type it in (don't copy from somewhere else, won't work.)

It's asking you to enter the hiragana numbers (よんななにに) as Kanji numerals So よんななにに (four seven two two) would be 四七二二

Whichever Yuzusoft member came up with background voice during h-scenes deserves a Nobel Prize in Literature. -_-

- Skip back to scene when clicking dialogue in backlog rather than voice replay This is quite rare but I recall some game engines have this function, makes it easy to capture a missed screenshot. - Collectable character sprite and voice in game menu Just like those in the Baldr Sky series. - Plot flowchart Self explanatory, also very useful to track progress and missing ends without having to rely on a walkthrough. - Built in Smartphone I recall there's one in Hoshi Ori, though its mainly used for text and screenshots, there's also one in N+'s Kimi to Kanojo to Kanojo no Koi.

Chelsea really was not given enough screentime nor character development to ever warrant sad feelings in my opinion. Can we have awards for people who contribute intellectual analysis and thoughts on Visual novels. I worked Hella hard writing this analysis: Kanon: Mai and Sayuri Analysis I'm also sure Maefdomn worked hard on this as well: Swan Song Review/Thoughts thread Honestly one of the things I find a tad disappointing with the forums these days is that there are a lot less insightful threads. If you look at the really old stuff in the back of Visual Novel Talk you can find threads like this: Sexism in Visual Novels The Way of Eroge Visual Novels and their emotional meanings to you Is romance necessary Starting insightful discussions and making analytic contributions are important and should be valued as such. So awarding people who do so seems like an appropriate thing to do.

I made it myself so I had to upload it first. Here! Making it was pretty fun actually, it was someone else's scan that was in two pieces with a pretty large gap between that I had to fill in myself, which I hadn't ever done before. Though sadly since I'm a total newbie you can still see some traces of were the gap originally was if you look hard enough. If you want just the picture itself (without the black on the left) I can upload that as well.

Too forced? No good?

So here's the scene. It's only half-way edited. I haven't finished editing the scene because it needs to be rewritten for the novella and therefore motivation to edit and polish is low. Still not happy with my prose. Especially my second paragraph. And the third. And the rest of it. Try not to expect too much. Charm completely over-hyped it. It's not that good. That's actually worth repeating. DON'T expect too much, it's just a gag scene and Charm COMPLETELY over-hyped the thing. It's a story vaguely related to ear hygiene, which were the exact words Charm used when I accepted the topic. So it is very vaguely related to ear hygiene. Oh, and the scene was only half-way done.
