Believe it or not, the forums are not the only part of Fuwanovel. This may surprise some of you, but there are plenty of us that do work for Fuwanovel, often without any help from the "Fuwa Staff". I feel that these people are just as much staff for the site as the Forum mods, and I would like to take a moment to recognize them. For starters, Zakamutt has almost single handily been carrying the Fuwa Gazette for a while now. He puts in a lot of effort to his Status posts and recruitment posts, aznd has been looking for a team fruitlessly for a while now. Not only does he work as the head of the blog, he also does a ton of the lifting on the official Fuwanovel twitter account, typically posting news at the same moment I do. He also just so happens to be the newest member of the Facebook team and has only screwed up one post to date. Next up is another blog staff member. JuicyYuuji just started today, but nothing caught fire and no deaths were reported. Indications are he will do just fine. Down is considered one of the Fuwa Staff thanks to his moderation of the forums. He also does some off-forum work in the form of FuwaReviews and assisting in the Fuwanovel twitter account. I made him read School Days HQ, and he absolutely hated it. Despite that, he is moving on to the next review, like a trooper. A true survivor if I've ever seen one. Ryechu reviews nukige and forced me to read ToS agreements to see if we could even post the reviews. Turns out we can. Fuck you censorship. He doesn't just review nukige for FuwaReviews though. He also took on Cho Dengeki Stryker and Magical Witch Diary or something. He also likes Raichu. No man insults Nohman, the third and final reviewer for the FuwaReviews team. He turns out some really good stuff and obeys my every command. You may also know him as Bill Murray, but I know his true name for those curious. Nayleen is next up here. Fuck if I know what he does, but sometimes he breaks things, other times he fixes them. Just depends how much he's been drinking. He does some of the coding for Fuwanovel, so if anything seems broken, you know who to blame. All hail the king of forum spam, Nosebleed. When he isn't posting 100 times a day on the forums, he makes Facebook posts for the page. Usually, he has to go in and answers questions that I reply super sarcastically to. We still await the day when Nico Nico Nii shows itself on the FB page. It will happen. Ryouuuuu/Kyouuuuu might not be able to decide on what his name is, but thats alright. We forgive him anyway. Our resident Facebook Key specialist, if there is Key news about, he is on the case. 99% of my skype messages from him are usually along the lines of "Angel Beats hyyyppeeee!!!!!" Beato is listed as a forum mod, but those pretty game download pages, thats her work. She is the one to usually get those pages up and running. We don't know much of her true nature, but as a Swede, I can only assume she controls Tay like a puppet. dale is the reason you can fap to a high amount of seeds when downloading games. As the owner of the seedbox we use, nothing gets seeded without his permission. A warning to all lolicons. For your podcast needs, look no farther than OriginalRen. Even if the episode count is out of order, rest assured you'll find plenty of interesting things in the episodes. Inner workings of the Fuwa staff, interviews with translators, and discussions with regular members all appear at one point or another. There you have it. Most of, if not all of the Fuwanovel Staff. These guys work off the forums on the real parts of Fuwanovel. Please give these people some thanks and support for what they do off the forums as I feel they are often overlooked on Fuwanovel. If I forgot anyone else, please let me know. As much as I try to keep up with the staff, sometimes someone will slip through the cracks, especially with all the new changes.

Well the purpose of my post is different than this one, and I already made it too I just haven't posted it, but it's nice that these people get the recognition they deserve, and it was because of that that I made them staff badges. Also I was lazy, that may or may not be 99% of the reason (blame Gaben!) I was waiting for Tay to give out the staff badges for these people beforehand though (I told him to but he seems to have forgotten about them. Go send him 100 PMs to remind him of it)

Welcome to the Grisaia Quiz! Greetings and salutations! As the kickstarter for Grisaia no Kajitsu has been announced, I'm sure all the fans are pretty hyped and anxious to help. But for those who for some reason can't do so, be it not having money or the means to pay for it, I'm here to present you with my Grisaia Quiz. As the prize, the winner will be allowed to choose between a physical or digital copy from the kickstarter. Even if you are not particularly interested in a copy of the game, anyone is more than welcome to participate! Sachi tier questions are a bit harder, it depends on how much you remember, but they will probably require some brainstorming to find the answer. I understand. Out of all possible people, you probably weren't expecting me to make one of these. First of all, don't delude yourself. I'm not writing this next to a fireplace with snow coming down outside with hot chocolate on my secretary and the dog sleeping at my feet. I'm in my cold room with the dog barking at the door, probably heard some kind of noise outside, with no drinks or sustainment of any kind and rain is pouring down outside. At any rate, here you go, my very own Christmas Message to ya'll. Merry Christmas. -Mr. Poltroon That ended up somewhat short, didn't it? Let's make up some more stuff on the spot. Like... like... oh yeah. My experience on Fuwanovel and stuff! I found out about Fuwanovel, and Visual Novels, right around the start of this year. What introduced me to visual novels was a very enjoyable game for me, by the name of "To the Moon", I highly recommend you play it, never know when my hitmen might knock on your door. Right around the same time, and purely by coincidence, I also found out about the Phoenix Wright series, another excellent group of games I suggest you play, for your own good health and whatnot. To the Moon showed me good storytelling that could come from this media, while Phoenix Wright showed me the comedy that would later become the reason why I play Visual Novels (I know, terrible reason, though perfect match for a terrible person). While searching for more, because people always want moar, moar, moar, I found out about this website. The first Visual Novel (at least in a truer sense) I played was Ever17. I was very scared, since I am a victim of the altogether too common irrational fear of the unknown, you see? Anime didn't have all that much of a good image in my mind at the time. I later found out my image was spot on, at least relating to nukige. Having thoroughly enjoyed the first game, I proceeded to play the sequel and prequel, and this is where I first used Fuwanovel. I used a walkthrough for Never7, and the first I found was the Fuwanovel one. Moving on, Fuwanovel became my place for walkthroughs. No, I had no idea I could download them here. Wonderful. The first VN I downloaded from Fuwanovel was Little Busters, and for a while, the only one. I fear the unbeknownst to me, I'll remind you once again. Keeping with that logic, I stuck with All Ages titles for a good 5 or 6 titles, it took me nearly a year to get through these. Of course, All Ages eventually ran out (at least those I was interested in), forcing me to try my first "eroge" so to speak, G-Senjou no Maou. Quite a challenge, considering it was my first contact (of my own volition) with pornography of any kind . You may choose to believe this or not, but I'm simply not very interested in matters of copulation. What a terrible topic, moving on. I eventually reached Grisaia no Kajitsu in my quest for mighty loot. I adored it. Like, really, to the point where it made me make my first post on the forums. I always make an account even for one time searches. Simply a pet peeve of mine, disregard it. Great 'friends' with the chief, actually. Two sisters. Two parents. Exempting the older sister (that hater ), we all live together. My family is a fairly happy one, but I've come to think, just how different is it from other, perhaps more normal, families? It's pretty much a free-for-all around here. If an argument starts, younger sister uses up all opportunities to take a jab at the parents, the parents argue with each other and I attack everyone. If we all sit together to eat, making fun of everyone and everything is the norm, usually at someone's expense. And the main thing? The heavy, heavy use of sarcasm. Don't think I'm a wrinkled old grumpy man, this is how I was born and raised, and to be honest, it's plenty fun. Fuwanovel is the only forum where I've stayed this long (not even a year yet, huh?). The reason for this is how I haven't been reprimanded much about my manners. Strangely, though, Fuwanovel hasn't shunned me away like I thought it would, so it's certainly a happy surprise. Hi people, I've been watching anime for a long time and played a couple of VNs here and there. Most recently, I started Utawarerumono around Thanksgiving, played midway through and then forgot about it as finals came around >.< Oh, also, I've been studying Japanese for 3+ years so I'm hoping to be able to contribute back to the community by helping to translate visual novels! よろしくね!

One of the anime hypes in 2014 was a show called "tokyo ghoul" a dark fantasy story set in japan. It's an anime that makes the watchers shout YES and fall off their chairs. My name is bilguun alix and today i'm going to review TOKYO GHOUL. Plot In an alternate version of Tokyo Mysterious creatures called Ghouls are devouring humans. Our main protagonist Kaneki encounters a beautiful girl named Rize but soon turns out that the girl was not actually human but a ghoul and she tries to eat him. However due to an accident he got saved but is extremely wounded. After recovering, Kaneki discovers that somehow he underwent a surgery that transformed him into a half-ghoul which means he must consume human flesh to survive. He is then taken in by the ghouls who manage the coffee shop "Anteiku", who teach him to deal with his new life. Now a plot of any dark fantasy anime is determined by how well the story world is shown as well is what over arcing storyline is trying to accomplish. In my opinion the world of ghouls is researched poorly. There are so many questions such as: why can they drink nothing but coffee? Since when did ghouls actually appear? Also the story it self just happens to be going on it’s own without any goal until the end. Things just happen and Kaneki just seems to be the part of it. And at times things seems to be a bit too rushed and unbalanced. They were like “Screw the logic we need more fighting”. And the show never actually gave us a solid ending. Now I’m not an idiot, I clearly know that the second season is going to start soon enough. But the first season should have stand on it’s own but it seems rather a kick starter for the second season. 6.4/10 Characters Now the sad part of this show is that the villains are one dimensional. The crazy old man from the “We hunt your ghouls” company a.k.a doves, Rize, Jason, Tsukiyama the hyperactive ghouls, they don’t have a redeeming quality other than being crazy and well…gay. As for the less crazy ones there are a few good characters that I want to point out. When I first saw kaneki I thought he was just some typical teenager with a typical bitchiness but my thoughts were changed Literally 180 degrees at episode 11 and 12. I just didn’t realize how deep he was until then. Another character I liked was Touka who is badass but also a kind person. I wish the show developed her more. Also there is Amon who is badass as well. And we saw some development in him as well as his back story of how he become one of the doves. He might be the best character of this series and I hope he will show up more in the second season. Overall I do think the show could have shown more back story especially for the villains cause from what I heard things were very different in the manga. And I wish Tsukiyama too would get a less crazy side because he was FUCKING ANNOYING. 5.5/10 Animation One of the Good sides of Tokyo ghoul is that it has rather dark but wonderful art style. The kagunes truly look amazing and the fighting scenes are very well drawn without any laziness The animation from the final episode was absolutely terrific and I wish that the fighting scene was bit long. But however there is a problem with the censorship. Tokyo ghoul of course have a lot of bloody moments but the censoring company went over board and censored everything from blood to a… harmless leg. It’s as if they are just trying to censor everything they see. 9/10 Sound The opening song for Tokyo ghoul was… how should I put it… EPIC. The song matched the show almost perfectly showing us what ghouls think of themselves and what they feel. And it was an amazing mix of guitar.piano,drum and violin. When I watched the whole series I NEVER skipped the opening song and that tells something. As for the soundtrack there were some good music during the fight scenes but not much in non action scenes. 9.2/10 Personal points To tell you the truth I really enjoyed watching this anime. Is it interesting?- yes, is it addictive?-yes, is it enjoyable?-yes. It was truly a great experience and I never got bored watching an episode. However aside from badass battles and spectacular opening theme the show does have a lot of flaws and you probably won’t be seeing any paced character developments. But regardless it was a great anime and I am currently waiting the second season so I could jump into action once again 8.3/10 So with Plot,character,animation,sound and my personal enjoyment 6.4 + 5.5 + 9 + 9.2 + 8.3 /5 MY FINAL RATING: 7.68/10 Watch it if you like: greatly animated fights, Gore. And don’t watch it if you hate: gore, want more intellectual experience, soild ending.

Most VNs aren't free so you'll have to buy them or torrent them. Most of those we have here on Fuwa, for example Sharin no Kuni. https://fuwanovel.net/novels/sharin-no-kuni-himawari-no-shoujo The ones that we don't have because we don't host licensed VNs can almost always be found on [no linking or mentioning torrent sites] "Nakige" means "crying game", and is basically a VN that gets pretty sad at some point (not to be confused with "nukige" which is when a VN has more porn than story) while "utsuge" is when the entire VN is depressing, pretty much from start to finish. There is an English patch for the first arc as far as I know - they're actually almost done with the whole translation already, but you can read the prologue arc first if you want, it's pretty stand-alone.

You might want to check out something by Key, for example Clannad or Little Busters. The only thing is that most of Key's games don't have H-scenes (sex scenes) and when they do they aren't very good. If you specifically want something with H-scenes, try Sharin no Kuni or Grisaia no Kajitsu.

The Narcissu stuff is very good, especially if you like Utsuge. Yume Miru Kusuri was also my gateway drug into the VN scene (pretty ironic, huh?). Stay away from Nekoko's route if you're looking for genuine story, but if you like dirty sex scenes that would be a good choice. Kirimiya's route is also pretty dirty, but there's a really good story to match it. I personally liked Kana ~Imouto~. One of the heroines is in the hospital a vast majority of the time. Really good story. Then there's the obligatory G-Senjou no Maou mention, because it's just that good.

Despite the minor involvement of Miyazaki and the fact that Anno was producer on it, it would be wrong to assume they were the behind the driving ideas of this short. Rather, those two guys are. I feel Miyazaki and Anno, despite their master/disciple relationship, shouldn't be lumped together on that topic. Miyazaki probably criticizes vehemently otaku, Anno IS an otaku and is conscious of his condition. I mean: What is Evangelion then? (And also Otaku no Video before that) Which is also the reason why I feel the interpretation of this short as purely critical of the state of the anime industry is a bit off. The "otaku condition" didn't wait for the 2000s to exist and was very much there in the 80s, and albeit slightly different it was already characterized by an unhealthy obsession over sexualization of characters and a struggle to come to terms with a lot of things in your life (social relationships, expectations, sense of accomplishment, etc). I think that's what being expressed here in a very trippy, excessive, flashy way. But hey, I might be off. I don't really know the guys who came up with it after all.
