So I was inspired by the recent topic filled with wham lines, and I realized just how many fantastic quotes there are in VNs that, without the proper context, are just... weird. A few examples from my collection: Ever17:

definitely read Majikoi! it is one of the bestest translated vn's out there. long, but great. top 3 of my favorite vn's Katawa Shoujo, Maji de Watashini Koi Shinasai, and if my heart had wings. im a slice of life guy. what can i say? plus majikoi has Mayuzami Yukie what more reason do you need?

Calling it route is a bit much, Steins;Gate dosn't really have routes, but endings. Story wise there really isn't any other way it could have ended, Suzuha had to travel back to complete her mission, her determination is major part of what makes Suzu, Suzu and changing that would have been a betrayel of her character. If Okabe did something like sabotage her time machine, she would not have forgiven him, which wouldn't work in a ending in which they are suppose to be "together". Also, I think the plathora of spin-offs should compensate for any precieved lack of a "Suzuha" ending.

First off, Marimo's route in Muv Luv. Barely any development, barely anything to do with the fact that she is your teacher. She makes like 3 appearances and then molests you at the end out of being a sex maniac. Ugh...enough said, just play the route yourself and you'll know what I mean.It was so bad I don't even know why they put it into the common route. Second for me would be Ageha's route in Kono Oozora Ni and that was just as horrific. By the end of it I was asleep and only read it for the tits (which were awesome btw) and gags. I was hoping for a harem with the sister but i heard that is in the next which i have yet to play yet. Even the sister was much more interesting than the entire Ageha route itself

I think my 4th worst route would be Terra Route from Rewrite, also because it was a true route and it still managed to be the worst route of Rewrite. (All the others were a lot better).

Harukoi Otome is extremely bad. I'm pretty sure MangaGamer localized it with the sole intent to punish us. For what, I do not know. It is easily among the worst VNs ever translated, the true definition of kusoge. Give it a shot!

While Majikoi isn't very thematically similar to PE, it is pretty good light hearted fun. Of the three translated Overdrive VNs, Edelweiss is the most lighthearted and ridiculous, and also takes place in a former all-girls school, but it's also kind of bad. Kira Kira is just good fun (for most of it), Deardrops also isn't bad. For mystery, Umineko is rather good, traditional style murder mystery. I liked Kara no Shoujo too if you want something much darker and more like a detective thriller. There are some character moments in KnS that are better if you read Cartagra first but it's not required if you only care about understanding the story. The Phoenix Wright games are also decent mystery adventure games, that also happen to be pretty lighthearted!

I have never once pre ordered anything ever, and so far i've been able to find everything i wanted to find after it actually came out, and I hope people realize how silly it is to preorder a triple A game that's just going to be available everywhere anyway. Ah good old days where DLC meant extra content and not "literally a chunk of the game", or even better, when you had a whole game when you handed out 60 bucks and you didn't need to worry about anything else. I never blame companies for these practices though, they're running a business and being profitable, it's people's fault for falling into their crap. I really hope people start becoming more skeptical of game trailers instead of handing out cash before they even have the game ready. Think before you open your wallet, that's really all. Don't support non costumer friendly business tactics by not opening your wallet, that's when they'll realize they need to change something.

My personal recommendation is Katawa Shoujo, but I also know of a /index.php?/topic/6989-noble%E2%98%86works/">semi-translated newish VN with frequent comedy and an impoverished protagonist who attends a rich school through ridiculous circumstances, similar to Princess Evangile.
