I'd say faces are a bit derp, otherwise p. good though. When it comes to changing out the art for a VN, it depends a lot on how it's made, which engine it uses, etc. In the best case it might be as easy as swapping files, but it could get hard quick.

from my point of view the whole question is somewhat meaningless, because both are different kind of media, targeting not the same audience, as most visual novels require more of a understanding regarding the matter & their literary value is higher, animes on the other hand are supposed to be mostly light entertainment, ergo no need to use ones brain to the fullest. of course it also happens at times, that media are overlapping each other, but those are considered rare cases. basically though one can like both kinds of media, its non obvious that this has to go for everyone, as there´re certainly lots of people who avoid one of them, whilst enjoying the other. only because normally both are using the same kind of visuals, that doesnt mean they are of the same kind - ergo easy comparable. In other words, you can consider vn´s more or less to be an interactive book, whereas anime are an animated movie/series, its like comparing cars with trains. & for the sake of answering the question, personally i put visual novels/books before anime, considering the latter beeing currently more mainstream, which increases its generic level. of course there´re some series/movies i enjoyed, but they arent as much as i had hoped them to be. (& i also know that in many cases there is no other way for the studio, because animeproductions are expensive & not many want to go down the path of creating something truly unique, having a higher risk of earning lesser money, because potential viewers wont understand a fuck etc., heck even ore monogatari flopped real damn hard caused by its NON mainstream protagonist, so that a sequel is highly unlikely, despite it beeing a good series). another reason why i like vn´s more, is that the story is more detailed in most cases, which i definitely prefer, so that ones imagination is really able to run wild like fuck, also due to them beeing mostly written from one´s own perspective, in comparison to anime where you rather feel like an observer.

I try to pay for literally everything I play. If it has a licensed release, certainly (preferably through some downloadable store - Steam or JAST USA, I guess are the only players here?). Even if it's not licensed, I'll try to import it; so far I've used J-List and Mandarake for that. I actually just today imported Sekien no Inganock through Mandarake, since it looks like that's going to win the August reading club vote. But, I have a different financial and living situation than most people here which makes that easier for me - I have my own apartment, and I have a job that pays well enough for me to afford an "expensive" hobby like importing VNs. Compared to hobbies like skiing, this one is cheap. Edit: I also meant to mention that the only VN I've played which I failed to buy a copy of is Comyu. Confession: MTG looks boring

Windows 10 has some negligible upgrades to performance that only serious techies will care about, and some gaming upgrades only serious PC gamers will care about. An upgraded interface design which is straight from the modern Fisher Price school of art. A new gimmick in the way of a virtual assistant, which is precisely that – a gimmick, and for all Windows 10 home users, no way to deny automatic updates which is just retarded. Also, it’s incomplete, some hardware and/or software won’t work, still too much mobile influence. For me, there’s absolutely zero reason to upgrade, also Windows 7 suits my needs better than Windows 10. In fact, the majority of users will see no reason to upgrade, probably why they’re rolling it out for free. At the end of the day Windows 7 is far from being outdated, and my opinion on the matter won't change because MS thinks it knows my needs and has delusions that it can see the future.

Sorry i havent posted any new updates its been a busy time for us Our son turned 3 on Friday the 10th and todays Krills Dads Birthday and on the 24th is Krills Birthday ( he will be 35 for those who will ask lol ) There really havent been any changes other than the new medication from the Neurologist is helping a bit and he now needs to go for Physical therapy along with the Speech therapy 3 times a week For those who have Skype you may private message me and we can set up some times and days for Krill to Skype with you on my account because i have a cam and he doesnt on his pc He needs all the speech and interaction he can get right now with his friends Hope you are all doing well!

One thing I remember finding a bit annoying when I first started out (which was a year ago), is that there as so many slightly different ways to learn. And different people learn more efficiently doing slightly different things. Lol, I remember one person I spoke to on this site told me that with only rudimentary understanding of the language he read a lot of Untld Nukiges for an entire year, and eventually found himself able to read more complicated VNs. I found that to be an interesting (not to mention extreme) answer. I can impart you with some advice from my personal experience. But please keep in mind that my level is around advanced beginner and intermediate learner. As everyone has been pointing out, basic grammar is a must. I highly recommend Tae Kim and reading through Basic Grammar, Essential Grammar, and Special Expressions (you can save Advanced Topics for later). Personally I read each section a first time somewhat quickly to acquaint myself with the material, then I would reread that section thoroughly and take notes. Once I finished the section a second time, I would review the key points (usually various conjugations), and then finally move onto the next section. Once you feel you have comfortable knowledge of necessary Japanese grammar, then I recommend to start reading (preferably something simple). By reading (with the help of ITH and Translation Aggregator) you will not only gain vocabulary through repeated words, but more importantly at this stage; you will be training your brain to understand Japanese grammar in it's native habitat. Before with Tae Kim you learned grammar on a theoretical level, now your knowledge is put in practice. Once I felt reasonably comfortable with Japanese grammar in practice I started placing more importance on vocabulary acquisition. At first I used the old fashioned approach with flashcards. I wrote down the words that were either frequently used, or that my dictionary told me were N5, N4, or N3 level vocabulary. However, flashcards got really annoying. Not to mention reviewing words that are stripped from the context felt pointless to me. Eventually I ditched them and started putting my vocabulary words on post-it notes and attaching them to my wall. That way, when I read something, and a word seems familiar; I'll check my wall first before checking the dictionary. Admittedly a bit of a weird method, but for me at least it has been way more effective than using flashcards (either digital ones like Anki, or physical ones). So yeah. I definitely recommend getting advice from people who have already achieved full literacy in the language. But I hope I provided useful advice for the earlier stages of learning. Also, regarding how long it will take to reach literary fluency. That answer honestly varies from person to person, but the method I've modeled my learning style from (Aaeru's method) is scheduled to take around 2 years.

Hi Everyone! Stopping in to give y'all an update on Krill ..He is doing pretty well this week he has his good days and bad. He has had therapy and they are helping so much.They gave him a list of about 50 words to work on at home with me and he can say almost all of them missing only maybe 5 to 10 depending on how his days been.He went to a therapy session by himself with medical transport.He also stayed home a few hours yesterday as i had a Dr appointment and our son was at his grandparents house.When i got home he had cleaned up our sons toys in the livingroom for me :-) He has been able to make his own bowl of cereal for breakfast without making a mess.He has been online and trying to type to friends.He can say "ok" which is better than it was.Tomorrow he is going with his father to sign paper work at the lawyers. Im not sure if i told you about the lawsuit against the first hospital i sent him to the day he had the strokes.They said the catscans showed nothing and his symptoms were a chronic issue from his schizophrenia and sent him home with a blood pressure super high 168/109 and him at that point unable to speak. I sent him to another hospital with a stroke unit later that day and they told me they could see the strokes on those exact same scans and they knew he was having the strokes immediately.So the first hospital missed the 2 hour window to give him a clot busting drug and prevent anymore strokes and cause all this damage he is now dealing with.So we are suing them for malpractice.Please if you have any questions or advise dont hesitate to reply with questions or comments.
