Its super good, and anyone looking for a good story, not just fartsy shit cute girls, is doing themselves a great disservice by not picking this one up.

Information about the book: Kitsune and me is a yuri light novel like story I have been working on since December of 2015. It started as a silly and goofy idea that was supposed to last for 30-40 pages. But, after completely falling in love with the characters and their universe, I ended up continuing the story, and here we are, 46k words and 140 pages later. The story offer elements of romance (yuri), fantasy, action and comedy. The core story is about the human girl, Sakura, and her guardian fox spirit, Kitsune, and their life together. Kitsune and me Vol.2 is going to be the second and last book in the series, and will offer another 12 chapters, as well as an epilogue. The story will follow after the events of the first one. (official site) Novectacle's gothic horror VN The House in Fata Morgana is finally translated and released on MG's site, and will be released on Steam shortly (19 hours, according to Steam's countdown). Just what is Fata Morgana about? The author wrote a good summary on MG's blog: It's a very highly rated VN on both EGS and VNDB, and has received some pretty serious acclaim from members of the community in recent times. And the spoiler-filled content advisory that I very briefly glanced at indicates that it deals with some rather dark themes. I'm a little bit worried that it will underperform, however. It's a very unique VN, and uniqueness is not always a selling point for a lot of people. If you're one of those people who don't like ever leaving your comfort zone, I suggest that you at least give the demo a shot. This VN deserves to be a hit. I'm eager to start reading it, but it may unfortunately be a while before I'm able to. Anyone else excited for this?

Hola, amigos. I'm Forte and I'd like to be your acquaintance. I'm XY years old and live in Z country. I have a brother and 5 sisters. Wait, why did I tell you how many siblings I have? Well, even though this may be my first time to actually post here, I've been visiting this sites for about 12 months. I used to stalk my friend's chats and posts. Not that I know him personally, but his preferences greatly match with mine. Even though I don't know what he's like in the real world, I believe he or she's a nice guy like me. Yeah, it must be so. But unfortunately, he or she seems to be dead. I mean, his/her account does. For the last 6 months or so, he never showed up in this forum. Ultimately, it leads me to a decision, "I'll make an account for myself." Hmmm, what should I say next? Ah, my hobbies. I like reading books, watching films and soccer matches, playing RPGs and board/puzzle games, and talking nonsense. I've been playing VNs for I don't know how long, maybe 4 years? Since I've only know recently what a VN is, I don't remember which VN took my VN reading's virginity. I didn't even think those simple reading visual thingies a game. But after some research, VNs are actually more, more, ummm, anyway it's different from reading a book. One thing for sure, I'm an anime otaku and I've watched more than 60 anime shows so I think I'm able to listen and speak Japanese. Unfortunately, my writing and reading skill are hampered by those Kanji hieroglyphs. I've actually translated some anime shows to my native language. So if you know a good short or medium VN no one/group has it translated, you can tell me. I MAY translate it if I have the time. Actually, I'm making some VNs myself, or to be more exact, writing some scenarios to be made into VNs. Those projects' titles are "Solia Symphonia", "Mundus Bearer", "Unattainable Zygkrecia". But my daily activities don't give me enough time to keep them progressing at a regular pace. Furthermore, maybe it's quite ambitious of me, but I want to make it trilingual. To make things worse, I suck at drawing and programming. I'll need some help at making them into VNs once I'm done writing them. Ok, now about my future plan. I'd like to stay in Japan in the future, if possible, in the near future. Going to Japan is easy enough, sure, but I want a guaranteed life. Unfortunately I chose to quit studying in college when I was still on my fourth term. So I'm only a high school graduate. If you ask me what I excel at, I'm not even sure about it myself. Maybe I'm quite good high school physics (mainly on mechanics) and mathematics, since I tutored many students for about 3 years. But each country has their own curriculum, so I wonder if high school physics and mathematics in my country is the same with the one in Japan. Any advice on how to get a guaranteed life in Japan as I am now? Ah, I almost forgot. I heard that there's an underground movement here for getting VNs through P2P file sharing. I want to join, ah, let me rephrase it: "Let me join, please." I think that's enough for my introduction. I hope we could be good friends.

Advertising is what you're missing out on with no publisher. To compensate, you need to find partners who will help you promote your product. Talk to MangaGamer and Sekai Project about carrying your title in their store. Talk to press outlets and fansites that cover visual novels (Fuwanovel, LewdGamer, Siliconera). Talk to Reddit about allowing you to post occasional updates, or if that's impossible, partner with a well-known user who will champion your game for you. You don't need a publisher to succeed, but realize that you'll be responsible for all the duties a publisher would perform for you.

As I already said, Akabeisoft2 has already licensed one game out and is planning a kickstarter for a second... They've already entered the western market, without MG. There's nothing to debate here.

Hello! I am 46 years old and have been programming almost my entire life. I've always wanted to create a game but life wasn't interested. But now I have the possibility to create one so I will start by making a VN style game (with some differences). This was the gayest ESC I have ever seen. Also the worst song-wise. The winner song was a political statement and won because of that, nothing more. The song itself is pretty bland and certainly not one of the best on this evening. (Political songs aren't allowed, so they said it's not political, it's personal! Yeah, of course it is, lol.) Best song was obviously Love Love Peace Peace, but sadly I couldn't vote for it. And Israel! My country even gave them the highest score this year. (And every year before. You see, we still have to pay off our WW2 debts.) They have never ever voted for us though

We do know, Bokuten is 73.5% edited. Although I doubt they'd announce their next Overdrive game before the current one is released. And I'm not entirely sure if the next one will be Green Green. Overdrive is overdue for announcing their next VN, maybe they'll jump on the current trend of simultaneous or near-simultaneous releases in japanese and english. Well, I say "jump on," but I guess GGN actually counts, huh? Overdrive has been developing VNs for the west before it was cool. So I wouldn't be surprised if their next localized title is all-new. edit: You know, I really do wonder what the heck Overdrive has been doing these last three years. They had to have been working on something other than that one GGN DLC, right? Are they doing alright? Years of inactivity is always concerning. GGN sold like gangbusters but maybe that alone isn't enough if they are having trouble selling VNs in Japan.

Good point about traditional squatting toilets @Deep Blue, didn't even think about that. You'll find that men, too, squat when using one. You especially don't want to be standing up while doing a #2. @TastefulSardine: Koharu drew Tama's face on the bat herself (it's 描いちゃった; "is drawn" would be 描いてある). MC: "Ah, you're right! Is this that 'expression of intimacy' thing?" (Both 親しみ and 表れ are nouns, and やつ doesn't have to be a person)

Now that Bokuten is nearing completion we should eventually expect to see them announce the Green Green remake, especially considering how close MangaGamer is with Overdrive. Though it might still be a bit early for that considering we don't know how much editing has been done. Any other speculation from my part of what would be announced would probably be more wishful thinking than anything actually realistic.

I just remembered what Otome VN I was truly supposed to read after Code:Realize; it wasn't Norn9 Var Commons, but Amnesia: Memories, a story about a nameless name-able heroine with amnesia trying to get her memories back. Or something like that. But we'll save that for later. ~~ Just went through Raziel's Bad End, which I was supposed to do yesterday so I could finish Sorami's route by today, but Life. Anyways, that's some eerie ending, man ._.

Waffle seems the most likely out of the 5 you wished for. I can't see Light or Eushully entering the western market currently. Although this is probably my want for the Kyonyuu Fantasy series to be TLed talking.

Planning on starting Hoshizora no Memoria －Wish upon a shooting star－ real soon. I've heard lots of good things about it, so I'm putting my expectations for it quite high. Now, let's just hope I won't regret doing so.

My top 5 hopes/wishes for the new partner: Waffle (with the game being Kyonyuu Fantasy) light Eushully Atelier Kaguya Akabesoft2 (though I admit I'm more interested in the Akatsuki Works' library) As for what the other 5 could be, my guesses: 1) Something from Lilith, hopefully a Taimanin game. 2) Something from Caramel Box (possibly Uhou Renka, if they want a nukige) 3) Something from Circus or Moonstone 4) Either Maggot Baits or Ero Manga! 5) Something from Softhouse Seal Other possibilities, but not likely: 1) Shuffle Essence+ as a "Surprise! Publishers do 3 things: - Finance you - Advertise your product - Distribute your product If you’re releasing your game in digital format only, reason number 3 is gone. If your kickstarter proves successful you won’t need reason number 1 (and TBH, you’ll be hard pressed finding a publisher willing to finance an OELVN.) That leaves reason number 2, and publishers like MG or even Sekai don’t do a whole lot on the marketing front. I would seriously question the need for one, TBH. My favourite indie, Jeff Vogel, never needed a publisher and he’s been chugging along for more than 20 years now
