  3. Yeah, it was definitely better than what everyone feared for. It's been awhile since I last read anything Grisaia, but the translation is still very obviously an imitation of koestl's style. That said it was good in it's own right, so kudos to Frontwing for managing to actually find themselves decent, English native translators in Japan.

  5. All the advice is helpful, but I remain indecisive; I think it's mostly going to come down to random chance. Or maybe most realistically, I'll probably just land with Amane since she's going to proposition me first. I'm not actually sure myself. I can certainly say that editing has given me a lot more tunnel vision than I would normally have - usually my mental map of the game would include a broad view of the characters, a fair bit of interest in all of them, and a lot of indecisiveness about whose route to play next (see the above Grisaia discussion...), but instead I've been completely fixated on the characters whose routes I've been editing and not paying attention to the other characters. To some extent I almost get annoyed when I have to read scenes with them, since they're getting between me and what I need to do. Even among the characters I'm interested in but not editing, I largely can't remember their names But aside from that oddity, no, I don't think it's hurt my enjoyment. If anything I might be enjoying it more this way than if I were just playing it, because I get to see more of the effort put into the VN. I notice a lot more consistency across distant scenes, for instance, which I otherwise would probably miss.

  6. Hello guys, I'd like to inform you a bit about one of my projects. This project is still quite far from completion so I'll just give a short synopsis. Here it is: It is now Junias 4th, 2450 AM. It's been 350 years since the second world war. A war that has significantly change the earth's topography, plantation, and atmosphere. It also has forced most people to live as nomads. These nomads are divided into two great categories, Nautunia and Aerounia. Nautunia's fleets constantly dive and travel deep inside the oceans, while Aerounia's fleets continuously fly high and travel through the black sky. Meanwhile, some people keep living on the decaying earth inside underground cities and upperground cities, namely Land Dwellers. Nachl Farids has been living in Bysleck, one of Nautunia's transit cities, since his birth. His mentor, Heinz Bergia, was the only person he could call a family. Heinz has always told him all kind of stories of the world before the second world war. Heinz has also taught him all kind of things, mainly the skills necessary to keep living. But one day, Heinz suddenly disappeared. Searching for him, Nachl went outside of his lodging ship for the first time in his life. However, he couldn't find Heinz anywhere he searched. Heinz's last words are still ingrained in his memory: "A great war even more horrible than the last will occur soon. I'm about to complete my work and I'll try my utmost to prevent the war. Nachl, when the time comes, go to Madine and meet Counselor Arfcyez. He should be able to give you some protection. However, if you have the courage to fight, go find "Mundus Bearer". As he's only mentioned in some myths and legends, you won't find him easily. But, don't give up! I believe you'll be able to find him." After gathering up some courage, Nachl decided to go find "Mundus Bearer". He has always liked Heinz's story and dreamed to go adventuring someday. He also hopes that he could make some friends on the way. Without knowing what's awaiting him, he strengthened his resolve and set out towards his great adventure. He never knew that his journey will be the main cause of the world's great reconstruction.

  11. Kinda want to to comment on those 3 here, but my comment maybe will not helpful to you though. Oh, by the way I'd like your new avatar compared to previous one. Aoishiro - For medium and 2008 VN, the size was big (7.7 GB). This VN had female MC who goes to the southern beach (Japan obviously) in order to do kendo training camp (By the way, the kendo club was from all female school). The graphic was admittedly very good and could be comparable to some recent VN, mostly owe by the big size. As for actual mystery, I think it was quite simple and it was revolving around the island across the training camp location and had some Japanese mythology. The VN itself also had quite a lot of food porn, and I think you could made the stupid decision by yourself to reach one of many bad ending here. The seiyuu involve in Aoishiro was some big name like Rina Sato (Nami) and Noriko Hidaka (Our MC herself). As for the music, it was composed by MANYO and I'd remember that one of the troper at TV Trope said that one soundtrack remind him of Ar Tonelico. Oh, and by the way there's no sex scene instead they add blood sucking scene for necessary sex thing (You know, to restore mana thing). Just remember that Kawashima Rino also had role in this VN, although this time she using her real name though (Mizusawa Kei). Duel Savior - Well, the MC kind of pervert and his younger sister was slightly attached to the MC. The premise was like MC and the heroine was thrown off to the medieval world which apparently the basic world for all of parallel world. And while MC younger sister (Mia) chosen as hero candidate was quite normal, the MC here (Taiga) chosen as hero candidate was quite abnormal since all of previous hero candidate was female. So Taiga decided to stay at the medieval world and decided to find out what's the meaning behind his situation. Oh, and actually the world was under constant threat from the forces who named themselves Ruin, and actually the hero candidate was needed to fight the Ruin. By the way, other than Mia and Taiga we had 5 more hero candidate which all of them was female of course. Also we had sort of battle which looks like from Tales game, but still not like Seinarukana or Eien no Aselia in term of complexity though. For the seiyuu, we had Nabatame Hitomi and Shizuka Itou there if you apply PS2 voice patch here (You should, and by the way Taiga and Mia seiyuu (PS2 obviously) was also Shiro and Sakura (Fate/Stay Night) seiyuu). Oh, I forgot to mention that sex scene here was quite a number here, and PS2 version change it with fanservice scene instead. Chou Dengeki Stryker - The premise was like our MC was made some kind of wish to becoming hero from the manga. And so in his 17 years old his wish fulfilled, but not without some interesting situation mainly the villain from the manga also came to the real world. Of course our MC here need to fighting the bad guy themselves. As for sex scene it was only a little and appeared near the end I think. Well, I could comment that the OP was singing by Masaki Endoh, which was quite hot blooded imo. And I think the VN was more like shonen or super robot anime with addition, you knew H-Scenes. Anyway, I think you'll find it nostalgic if you like super robot anime in the past. Oh, and for the seiyuu I'd remember that Megumi Oogata here also played a character here. And you better play Cho version instead of normal version because Cho had 6 routes, also both of version was translated anyway. Anyway, for the conclusion (Also a little opinion from mine) Aoishiro would be medium length but gorgeus VN with mystery that influenced by Japanese mythology. Duel Savior was more like standard harem comedy in medieval world with perverted MC. Cho Dengeki Stryker would remind some user of classic super robot anime, and actually I'd watch Daigunder in the past and the opening was also sing by Masaki Endoh, so I'd kind of nostalgic hearing Dengeki Stryker opening (Forgot to said that both version of Dengeki Stryker had different opening). As for one common thing in those 3 VN, I think all of the 3 VN had chuuni element imo. I think that's all for my opinion here, and hopefully my comment was helpful to you Vorathiel.

Here's why playing a Play-Your-Opponent's-Deck Priest is worth it (despite occasionally going on huge losing streaks): This was easily the most ridiculous game I've ever had. My opponent was an actually "playable" deathrattle priest, we both had early Shifting Shades and Sylvanaseseses, then we stole more Shifting Shades and Sylvanases from each other, and the end result of this Shifting Shadeception was... this. I stole his N'Zoth. Also, I played about 5 or 6 Sylvanases in that game. Stupid minion limit!

  22. Well I've reviewed both Cho Dengeki Stryker and Aoishiro, so here are my thoughts on them: http://gamesforadultsandeveryone.blogspot.com/2015/04/games-for-adults-and-everyone-cho.html http://gamesforadultsandeveryone.blogspot.com/2012/10/playable-import-games-for-everyone-aoi.html Of the two I'd favor Cho Dengeki Stryker more since the characters are more enjoyable.

  23. Cho Dengeki Stryker - I like Overdrive and found CDS to be a somewhat fun read, but it's also pretty standard fare. You won't find anything in it that you wouldn't find in your run of the mill shounen action manga. It's pretty unremarkable, but still has some fun moments and some actually pretty decent humor in the common route. I kinda liked it. Duel Savior - Meh. It's kinda funny. The protagonist's voice acting is great and completely sells the humor, if you use that version of the translation patch (you should). The routes are pretty mediocre. There's too much repetition in their storylines I it gets really old after a while. The gameplay sucks. It's easy and incredibly tedious. Overall a very mediocre experience that I didn't like much at all. Aoishiro - Super boring. I couldn't finish it.

Snow Sakura (or Yukizakura, whatever) is decent but not free unfortunately, although easy to find online I myself just finished the most "normal" arc (Shizune, but this is debatable I guess?) of Katawa Shoujo... I enjoyed it, but didn't live up to the hype. Going to play the other arcs anyway, since people recommend it so highly

    A Yuri manga

Sorry if there are repeats from the comments above (too lazy to check), but here's a pretty lengthy list of yuri manga with my personal comments (this is all stuff I've read) Girl Friends (yeah it's the holy grail of yuri manga. You're a pleb if you don't agree) Hana to Hina wa Houkago (The most recent manga by the author of Girl Friends, Morinaga Milk, and it's just as cute as the former) Citrus (Basically Girl Friends 2.0) Majo to Houki to Kurobuchi Megane (One of my favorite yuri comedies out there. It has a proper ending and everything!) Husky and Medley (This is actually based on real life events. And what's more, the real people are still together to this date ) Kimi Koi Limit (A one volume long love triangle story) Ameiro Kouchakan Kandan (Really sweet, relaxing tale of two girls working together in a cafe. I was more moved by it than I initially expected) Lily Love (Not a manga, it's done by a Thai author but she puts a lot of love into the story and I think it's worth the read) Their Story [Also known as Tamen de Gushi] (A Chinese webcomic. Really adorable!) Blue Friend (This one's pretty depressing, but I really enjoy the atmosphere in it) Chouchou Nannan (Only 1 volume long, but it's my favorite Takemiya Jin story) Fragments of Love (Takemiya Jin's most popular yuri manga, I really like it as well) Anything else by Takemiya Jin (It might be clear by this point that I like this author and think her work is a gift from God) Sasameki Koto (A classic, albeit I don't think it's the greatest thing out there) Gokujou Drops (This one is both funny and serious. It's a nice read) Hatsukoi Shimai (Honestly I barely recall this one but I do remember it being okay) Renai Manga (More subtext based but really cute short read) Fragtime (Yuri + sci-fi!) Hana to Hoshi (This is more like a romcom, it's pretty cute) Bloom Into You [also known as 'Eventually I Will Become Yours'] (This one is a really recent manga but it shows a lot of promise) Shimaism (Hilarity of the highest magnitude) Yuri Mekuru Hibi (not completed, sadly, but super funny) Virgins' Empire (This is more of an ecchi series but it's still yuri so) New Game (Again a lot of subtext more than anything. It's getting an anime adaptation next season!) 15-sai (Very interesting older girl x younger girl romance, takes itself seriously) Futaribeya (Also a very recent manga but really adorable!) Kobayashi-san chi no Maid Dragon (Maids + Yuri + Dragons = This thing) Sweet Magic Syndrome (Subtext based, but this one is more out there. SUPER ADORABLE ARTSTYLE) This list should last you for a while. There's still plenty more stuff in the back of my head but I feel like these are the more memorable titles.

I have a lot of those tbh, ill just post the first that springs to mind. reminds me of the first part in euphoria. This is simply about the end of the world, fucking nuclear war. It reminds me of destruction and mankind destroying the earth. It also reminds me of my favorite anime, Saikano. fun fact: when I try my hardest to not think about anything, the first thing that springs to mind is chicken so chicken and nothing is something that connects in my mind I guess

Good point about traditional squatting toilets @Deep Blue, didn't even think about that. You'll find that men, too, squat when using one. You especially don't want to be standing up while doing a #2. @TastefulSardine: Koharu drew Tama's face on the bat herself (it's 描いちゃった; "is drawn" would be 描いてある). MC: "Ah, you're right! Is this that 'expression of intimacy' thing?" (Both 親しみ and 表れ are nouns, and やつ doesn't have to be a person)
