    Howdy!

Hey there, friends! I've sorta lurked on this forum before (Especially when I was following a walkthrough on the Toradora VN that was posted here), but I've finally decided to join up! I really would like to find more VN's I haven't heard of, and I also at some point would like to get feedback on a VN I'm currently working on when it's in a more presentable stage. Some of my favorite VN's include Steins;gate, VA-11 HALL-A, the Zero Escape series, Ace Attorney, and the Fruit of Grisaia! Looking forward to making friends and having a good time on this site!

  2. I don't know subahibi and i can't imagine how important a bestiality scene is, but 10-15 lines is actually a lot of lines. So much can be said with those lines, so much can be conveyed if used properly. For example: Thats like 13-15 lines i think. So it depends on the scene in the Vn and what's being said and how its used to invoke particular thoughts and feelings from the reader. All i'm saying is 10-15 lines can mean a lot.

  3. For the last 5 years, every time somebody mentions the bestiality scene, there was always someone who told you how important that scene is, totally deep and full with philosophy and stuff. Now it's just ten lines and not important at all. I love these shifts in the narrative as soon as a game is being localized. I hope you get paid for this, you are really good.

  4. Fuzoroi no Lemon and Welcome to the Cinemahouse are masterpieces, but the latter one has fewer elements of visual novel genre and thus Fuzoroi no Lemon is the game of the month. 1. Marble Cooking マーブルクッキング [940101] Negative 1 2 3 4 5 6 Marble, the young and innocent apprentice of magic, has always been curious about one of her master's possessions, the magic "Wand of Wishes". One day the curious girl uses the wand; as a result, an evil demon is unleashed into the world. The spirit of the wand, a rabbit-like creature known as Sirius, tells Marble that it is now her responsibility to save the world from the demon, whose vile plan is to brainwash and sexually abuse ripe pretty young girls! So there are seven stages, at which we... place carrots to summon a rabbit and watch HCG between the scenes. Something tells me this game is not so much about the story... Anyway, game even has English translation and a big faq in English... for those who want to reach perfection in placing carrots! 2. Gao Gao! 1st ~Radical Sequence~ GAOGAO!1st ~ラジカルシークエンス~ [940107] Four-Nine 1 2 The protagonist of the game is a college student named Yuuji Shibata. One evening, just after hearing on the news that someone has stolen a tiger, he goes out to a convenience store. On the way back, in a dark alley, he notices a strange creature, a young girl with cat ears and tail. She doesn't seem to remember anything about herself, except her name beginning with the syllable "Mi...", which afterwards earns her the nickname Mi. Yuuji brings her to his house and tries to introduce her to the world of humans. (which, naturally, also involves techniques of human procreation). But will Yuuji be able to keep Mi as his companion (sexual and otherwise), or will he have to face her mysterious past?.. I've prepared a full review of the game. 3. Houma Hunter Lime Dai 08 Wa 宝魔ハンターライム 第08話 [940110] Silence 1 In this episode Lime, Bass and Mizuki go to a fair and watch a magician's show. A BEM has disguised itself as one of the props, and Lime must become a magician herself in order to trap it. A light comical episode with circus focuses as theme. It's still far till the end, so fooling around is in full blossom. 4. Nanba Kousuke Ikasete Nanbo! 難波康介イカせてなんぼ! [940110] Altacia Kosuke is a graduating high school student who lives alone in Shinjuku. He has a secret passion for his classmate Miki and is anxious to confess his feelings to her before the final exam day. But as soon as he settles a date with Miki she dissapears and an unknown floating girl appears in a flash, then stumbles and looses consciousness. Girl is declares that a "holy war" is approaching and that the fate of humankind and Miki depends on Kosuke now. It turns out that legendary princess Kaguya actually married one of her five guards and while Miki is a descendant of Kaguya-hime, Kosuke comes from the line of her husband. In order to save Miki, Kosuke needs to sublimate passion of other girls. I can't help surprise seeing such elaborate plots devised just to chase girls. We circle around the subway stations looking for girls. But actual process is done in simulation manner. There are even stats for it. Game does not have a single japanese review or impression and I did not go far either. 5. Bell's Avenue 2 ベルズアベニュー2 [940114] Signa Works A collection of three main stories and several short kinetic stories: 1. 小犬のワルツ 2. UNDERDEEP 3. パラゴンの災難 4. FORUM 5. BA散歩 6. しおりの部屋 7. minimum hour The structure and the content are very close to the previous part. Same over-sized body parts present. 6. Fuzoroi no Lemon 不揃いのレモン [940121] Softhouse Bonbee Bonbon 1 Machida Haruko, nicknamed "Faru", is a young girl who was living together with her sister Mei. Mei has mysteriously disappeared, and one day Faru received a package, which contained a video showing her sister, tortured by unknown people, crying in agony. The young heroine heads to the high school Mei studied in. She tries to get a job there, in order to investigate the circumstances of her sister's disappearance, and bring her home safe... Yet another Classmates rival and this time even with the time concept. Main character is a shemale... so trap protagonists attack started in yearly 1994... Heaven's voice system was particularly useful, it's basically tips of what to do when stuck or bored. Game is strong in every division. There a lot of unique and cute characters. Story tries to have a serious narration, but with a shemale in girls school gags are inevitable and game manages to keep that balance of seriousness and bakage. So you wonder around the school , talking to several teachers and several students in order too proceed with the story. Characters can be absent at their spots and it's possible to miss an important event. For that the system of moving back in time with a nursery cabinet is introduced. In the second half of the game money is used a lot so it's important not to waste assets on fortune telling and such. Irregular lemon actually managed to save the fun parts and not to fall behind in any aspect, so it's definitely a masterpiece game. 7. Miho 美穂 [940128] Red Zone 1 Miho Premium Collection no.003 is dedicated to predominantly sexual experiences of a Japanese young woman named Miho during her work at a hospital as a nurse. The game's story is rather sparse, consisting of various encounters with doctors, staff members, and patients, most of which lead to sexual scenes, often with unsavory medical undertones and torture. Red-Zone title with hospital as theme. Does not have value apart of H. 8. Welcome to the Cinemahouse ようこそシネマハウスへ [940128] Hard Player controls film director of Cinema House on the planet Paraiso which is in the middle of war. Much of the crew was conscripted, military censure is ravaging, but for a man of passion everything is possible. Each character has behavior patter lasting for 24 hours. According to that pattern we devise a plot and arrange actors in SLG part. Mostly we just approve or disapprove suggested variants, so it's not difficult. It's possible to talk to actors and those talks are masterfully done. If you done screening but want to start anew or shoot additional scenes, the schedule gets tight. There is also human relationships dimension and unexpected troubles that come up. Parents would naturally object in indecent role offered to the child. But the ADV part of the game is probably even better. You can walk around the town talking to inhabitants in the top down camera Classmates style immersing in the atmosphere of warring city. Even though the length of the game is not big, the degree of freedom and the replay value is great. Believe it or not, many people are calling this game their favorite game among all the pc-98 games and it's definitely a masterpiece. 9. Koukou Kyoushi Sei Erika Jogakuin Hen 高校教師 聖エリカ女学院編 [940129] Wishbone 1 The game has a rather simple premise: the protagonist is a young man who is looking forward to his first day on a new job, that of a teacher at the prestigious St. Erika Girls' High School. Naturally, he won't be busy with teaching alone; the goal is to get acquainted with the various female characters that populate the school, including the nurse and many of the students. A game with huge map and lots of walking around. Point-and-click system does not make things easier as well. It's difficult to get to H events and huge time investments seem to be needed to figure out the rest.

  6. I must be a luxurious individual, then, because socks are all I get for my birthday these days. I assure you that the better at the language you are, the less you care about grammar and misspellings on posts and forums online. This is entirely anecdotal, but I've found that the people who are focused on correcting others or who judge others on how they spell and write tend to not be completely fluent at the language in question either. In a fairly informal, 'simply a means of communication' setting like this, I mean. Stuff like actually writing stories always benefits from constructive criticism, since it's not as much about communication as it is about being enjoyable for the reader... generally. Depends on what you write for.

Honestly, I often have the same problem, though I try not to care that much. The worst thing about conversations online in a language you aren't really fluent in is that there is no real way to check whether you write everything right or not.

I can't really give a percent since i haven't touched it yet but i think it was a very small amount of wazukas route in it's current state without new patches. the patches on here are complete i believe but have bad english translations also i think they cause it to crash. Imo you're better off playing as is but it's up to you

  15. I'm currently playing Ai yori Aoi Umi no Hate, AXL's latest game by their 'unusual slice-of-life' team, and the setting is seriously bothering me. It isn't that the concept is boring... there is nothing wrong with the concept of people living on a massive self-repairing ship hundreds of years after the demise of land-bound culture due to global warming. No, the problem is the concept of the game and how it interacts with the setting. Ok, I can live with the idea that advanced culture was lost - deliberately or otherwise, and I can also live with the characters centering about 80% of their attention on day-to-day affairs. That is normal in a self-sufficient community. However, the idea that recreational culture not existing at all - music being lost entirely, for instance - is ridiculous. Wherever you get a community of humans, you have some kind of recreational culture, whether it is simple sports, drinking contests, tests of strength and stamina, or card games. To put it simply, people might be willing to let go of high tech, but they'll never give up being able to hum a tune while working. It is such a huge hole in the concept that I just had to shake my head in exasperation. This isn't the first time I've run into this kind of thing... for some reason, some writers, when they create a fantasy or sci-fi setting that justifies their story, gloss over elements like this that drive me nuts. Moreover, they ignore human nature and history. Even in a confined environment like the one in this setting, people still need recreation and will create it, regardless of the intervention of authority. The first couple of generations might have successfully abandoned culture as they knew it, but the later generations would have inevitably birthed a new recreational culture of some sort. So, the concept is just too ridiculous, at least in my eyes. Edit: In other words, 'If you are going to create a new setting with a purely human society, you have to justify every difference in a way that makes sense given human history and nature!'

  16. I still think about it, so it's not like I've completely abandoned it. For reference, the first chapter was written 15 years ago. I do plan to continue the story at some point, but at best it'll be a weekend project once I've settled into my current job. But thanks, interest from others makes it more likely I'll pick this back up sooner rather than later!

  17. It's clear, that Frontwing losses the AX. The most anticipated titles are being pushed to 2018 and Subahibi suffers from deleted content. It's funny, that, apparently, from the lawyer's point of view lolis are fine and bestiality is not. Regardless, I'm more worried about Subahibi TL quality. I heard it has quite unordinary "crazy" style of writing.

  18. FWIW, Decay isn't the first or only person I've seen claiming this. Maybe it's just the places I frequent, but I actually haven't seen a single person pitching the claim that the scene is actually important. I wouldn't know either way; haven't read the game, or even read any commentary on it until this came up yesterday.

  23. I finally finished Libra of the Vampire Princess. I have it 100% completed and honestly I did enjoy the story but the translation did make quite a few parts complicated. All in all though, I was able to understand it for the most part but some of the sentences gave me a headache the way they were worded. If I had to guess, I think this project was rushed a bit too much and that reduced the amount of time they had to go over their translation and editing to make sure the sentences flow together nicely. If the translation quality was a bit better, I would easily give Libra of the Vampire Princess a 9/10 but since the translation was rather poor, I would reduce the score down to 7.5/10 which is still pretty good. If you are used to Japanese visual novels like I am, you can use past experience to figure out the hard to understand parts. Don't get me wrong, it's definitely readable. I just don't think it was worth the $40. I wouldn't have had any problem paying $20 or even $25 for it but for $40, they should have done a little better on the translation. I just pre-ordered Princess Evangile W Happiness for $36 and I guarantee Mangagamer did an excellent job on the translation. I have purchased many Mangagamer games and they have never disappointed. So I really don't get why they charged $40 for Libra when W Happiness is only $36 to pre-order. Not only is it shorter but it is also in very high demand. I was a little weirded out over all the urination stuff since that's not my cup of tea but all in all the H Scenes are pretty good. The story is good, the art is good, the sound and voice is good. The only thing I can't say is good is the translation quality. If I had to rate that, I would say it's Acceptable. Meaning that if you're an experienced visual novel reader like myself, you can pretty much figure out what they mean.

  25. My first VN was True Love (back in the 90's) and now its 2017. I don't care if Sekai, Jast, MG wins a con with announcements. What i want to say is that im just happy that we get good VN's from all of them (ok Jast is lately even slower than normal). So thanks to all of them for doing a great job (I know, not all agree with me in this case)

  26. Magical Marriage Lunatics Decent fantasy charage, but no better than decent. Typical of Moonstone. The Most Forbidden Love in the World While this game counts as a classic, I can guarantee it is going to cause trouble, considering that it openly states in-game that Mitoko is underage. Nanairo Reincarnation A kamige and a great choice in general... though I'm curious how they plan to deal with the plays on kanji and the uniquely Japanese concepts. Senren * Banka One of the better games from YuzuSoft... Dracu-riot... do I need to say anything more at this point? I posted about it when it first came out, but I don't have the energy to dig that post out of the graveyard right now, lol.

  28. I am about four hours into this game, reading at a regular pace. I can't believe the awful quality of the translation. It reminds me of the game Flyable Heart, which had a machine translation patch released that was so bad, they completely removed it from VNDB. I checked out Flyable Heart years ago but when playing Libra of the Vampire Princess, it reminded me of that game for the first time in years. I feel like I was cheated $40. With translation quality like this, the price should only be $20 at most. It would be fair if that was the case but the price is twice as much. The translation isn't nearly as bad as Flyable Heart but it's still all over the place and really difficult to understand. It gives me a headache on some parts because there are sentences that are translated correctly one minute and the next minute there are strange pronunciation and grammar and to be honest, it doesn't even feel like I'm reading English. I am by no means an expert of the English language and I guarantee some of my posts have weird grammar or something similar but I am left completely and utterly baffled by the quality of this translation, which I have been looking forward to since they released the Kickstarter. I understand it was a huge project but if you didn't plan on doing a quality translation then you should have cut the price in half at least. I know I'm not the only one who notices this, but it seems like it was translated to English by a Japanese person who was born and grew up in Japan and only has a basic understanding of English. You can tell by reading it that there was a language barrier there and it shows in the translation. Honestly, if it wasn't for this, I would rate the game 10/10 but since the translation is so poor, the most I can give it is an 8. While the game is still very much enjoyable and it is possible to understand. The parts that have bad translation do make sense after you read a certain portion of it but the fact that I have to put effort into understanding it is just something that shouldn't happen when I pay $40 for an ENGLISH visual novel. @MiKandi Japan - If you are planning on doing another English visual novel translation, I HIGHLY recommend hiring someone with better English skills. I always got average marks in English, nothing special but I had an average of about 70% and even with that average skill, I could have easily put the sentences together much better. The way some parts are put together, it's like one of those word problems that you only understand after a majority of the pieces are revealed to you. I guarantee many people will agree with this but let me make this clear, I still am enjoying this game but I just think it's only worth half of what I paid. I bet a ton of work and hours went into translation and of course it is worth paying for but only $20 at most because of the poor translation quality. It's possible it's just because it's MiKandi's first English visual novel, but I hope they learn their lesson from this screw up. PS - If you don't agree with me, that's fine. This review is just my point of view and my opinion, although I guarantee it is shared by many people. I am just giving people a heads up. I will still read the entire thing since I paid for it but the most I can give it is 8/10 on VNDB.

  29. You don't really need anything more than a dual core CPU (aside from intel Atom CPU's, they're weak), 2GB's of RAM and any decent mid-grade/budget gaming GPU, no matter how old and you can run any vn with ease, e-mote/live2d included. Even the new vn's running e-mote should be running smoothly, as long as you're using a modern operating system and your gpu drivers are up to date. W7 gives a significant performance boost over older systems thanks to it's updated driver database and better hardware management. I think the oldest PC I tried running Tenkiame on had an old Pentium D processor and some mid-grade radeon GPU back from it's period and even though it took considerably longer to load, it ran the game smoothly, even though transitions between scenes had a slight delay, due to longer memory loading times. E-mote is actually very lightweight and will run without issues on newest and older integrated GPU's, unless you're trying to force improve visual quality through driver settings. Obviously, you have to remember about one thing - as much as it's possible to run 1080p with W7 on older specs due to driver updates, older GPU's weren't meant to ever run at these resolutions; trying to run modern games in 1080p on old GPU's will result in considerable performance drops. Besides, most of these vn's are 720p by default, so you're still upscaling their graphics for nothing.
