SRPG eroge Venus Blood Frontier to get an English Kickstarter
Darklord Rooke and 2 others reacted to Zakamutt for a topic
Read through the English trial (fairly short, no gameplay shown). I saw someone claim that there's no editor on this, and well, it shows. Besides awkward wording, there are quite a few more blatant problems like mixing tenses in the same line or even sentence. As a raw translation, which I'll assume it is, it doesn't look too bad - there's definitely some effort put into it. The awkward phrasing you can probably get people to live with from a cynical point of view, but the tense stuff is going to be jarring to more people in my experience. I recommend trying to get some kind of skilled QA on the project. If you want quality you also need to do better self-editing (hard to do though) or hire a good editor. Decided to make an imgur album w/ some screen of quality issues. Be aware that it's in reverse chronological order because imgur hates making sense. Actual game looks like it could be quite entertaining. I'm considering just reading it in Japanese to be honest.3 points -
What Video Games Are You Playing Right Now?
Kenshin_sama and one other reacted to Jun Inoue for a topic
"*record scratch* *freeze frame* Yup, that's me. You're probably wondering how I ended up in this situation." This game, though. Man, this game. Fire, poison, water, some mist and even ice. And it's raining. Me and a friend vs 2 cooks, a waitress, 2 drunk patrons, a dwarven bard, a mysterious traveler and a tinkerer. Not sure how we got here. Things just kept escalating.2 points -
So I finished Sekien no Inganock -What a Beautiful People and I really liked it. I really loved the setting and the amount of world building that went into the city. You just don't see that kind of effort put into a visual novel so I appreciated it. The final confrontation was a bit meh and so was the ending. Overall, I really liked it. Ati is bae. This song I felt was fitting for the ending2 points

SRPG eroge Venus Blood Frontier to get an English Kickstarter
Infernoplex and one other reacted to sanahtlig for a topic
Project leader Keimaru posted some additional info on Twitter: He realizes that the concept of an all-ages Venus Blood is a bit absurd. He's been surprised by the swell of very forward-thinking user feedback. The current plan is to launch the Prefundia in mid-May, but due to user feedback that may be delayed. He's willing to hire additional translation, editing, and debug staff if the Kickstarter does well enough. There's only so much that Ninetail can do at its own discretion, and therefore this is all subject to approval. There's also a comment about "colorful tofu" which I can only assume is a euphemism for porn. Also, I appear to have gotten assasinzassasin in trouble for disclosing too much by tweeting about the discussion here and elsewhere. I do however think that there's been valuable feedback that'll allow them to adjust their plans before they're widely disseminated and the die is already cast, so to speak.2 points -
I understand your perspective, but at the same time, if your friends don't accept you and your tentacle rape fetish, are they really your friends in the first place?2 points

Yes, I did this game first. This is one of those games that is a bit hard to define. It is part moege, part nukige and part charage... and part surrealist story. It is about cats being reborn as humans being reborn as cats being reborn as humans (it gets ridiculously complex, to the point where there is no point in keeping track). There also isn't a whole lot to say about this game... it is mostly at-home SOL, h-scenes, and reminiscence of past lives. As a VN, it is a bit hard to read because it jumps around in time so much, and I'll probably forget this VN before long. However, I gave it an extra point for making me cry several times, lol.1 point

I just read Maya's and Mirodi's route so far. Maya's route is really cute. The drama was.... okay (?) MC is really boring, typical standard school Protagonist but a little bit hetare sometimes. Midori is also cute but her route is boring, if you like her then maybe you will love her route. But the drama was forced... IMO it's really boring, the Protagonist isn't really something special, there isn't a really good story. if you are looking for a good romance/drama VN then don't read it. If you liked Noble Works and love vanilla stuff, then maybe it's something for you. I love Romance VN with good drama or a interesting story. But Hatsukoi 1/1 is just a romance & SoL VN. Furthermore my problem was that the drama wasn't interesting. Even Princess Evangile and Chrono Clock have a better drama and story. (I almost cried in Michiru's and Kuro's route in Chrono Clock) To sum it up: Bad drama, cute girls, a lot of vanilla stuff, Protagonist is boring and stupid, the story isn't interesting Thanks, hopefully Lucia's route is great1 point -
Chaos;Head is sweeeeeeeet. But not for everyone. I just have a soft spot for it. I think you have to be able to enjoy the unashamed weebiness and not hate the MC so much you can't take it. Correction: it's a shipping container. Makes all the difference. Do it for this:1 point

So, I finished Cinderella Phenomenon about a week ago... And, you know, I don't really have much to add to what I said in my previous post. It's a good VN, and I never really felt like I was bored reading it. The writing does seem a bit questionable at times (well, it is an amateur-made VN), but if you are interested in an otome VN with good characters and a nice storyline, inspired by many famous fairy tales, definitely give this a try. It's the second one I tried reading, and while the first one was mostly a miss, this VN did increase my interest to the genre. And it's free, you know. The score stays at 8/10.1 point -

Interesting concept and I like the art so far. The setting is unique and it's nice to have a adult protagonist instead of high school kid number 1119.1 point -

Yeah, there are sequels, but Grisaia no Kajitsu is pretty much a standalone in and of itself. Other suggestions might be Narcissu and Kana ~imouto~, though they are way heavier than Katawa (terminal illness).1 point -

Hey, it's been a while. The reason I haven't been keeping this updated the last few weeks is that I have had a lot of stuff on my plate IRL lately. As a result, I haven't really had much time to write these. (Believe it or not, writing a chapter takes quite some time, from planning, writing and editing.) I want to keep the event going, but it's going to be difficult right now, with exams and other stuff coming up. So, I have to leave this on hiatus for a bit longer, and will make an announcement when I get back to writing. Until then, everyone can enjoy their time trapped inside Clephas' stomach (/ω\) If you want to know when the event will start up again, simply follow this thread, and I'll make sure to make a comment here when I get back on track!1 point

Aiyoku no Eustia Translation Project (Partial Patch is Out!)
Loksfox reacted to goodluckmyway for a topic
Hey everyone. Thanks for all the comments, and for following the project. If you haven't been keeping up with the spreadsheet, Eris's route has been fully translated as of last week, and is now in the QC/editing process. I'll be working on the side stories next, before progressing onto the other main chapters. No word yet on a partial patch, but stay tuned! Cheers.1 point -
