Maitetsu 18+ Release Restoration Patch

Marketing should be primarily directed at growing the audience - those very same people that are random VN buyers on Steam are the ones companies should be aiming to attract - as long as they can do it without alienating the existing core audience (VN community members). If removing honorifics convinces those casual VN players to buy more, then it is the correct decision. The poll is not inaccurate - as long as you don't attempt to overstate the results. The poll represents the enthusiastic folks of the common VN communities, and they like honorifics. At the same time, a poll of all Steam owners of VNs would likely have different results. How different, we don't know, but dismissing the very real limitations imposed on the poll by the chosen polling method does not make them go away. Ideally, it would have been great to work with Steam and send a poll link to a random sample of VN owners... but it's unlikely that Steam would agree to work that closely with someone not associated with a VN publisher. Or even with, for that matter - privacy is big these days.2 points

MAITETSU 18+ DEMOSAIC STEAM-FAKKU PATCH [COMPLETE]
knightnightmare and one other reacted to HoplessHiro for a topic
Check out later today for the COMPLETE RELEASE of Hibiki's Route2 points -
Let me explain it from the purely statistical perspective. Polls done measure the opinions of the group questioned. In order to get a good sample, honest pollsters attempt to ask a broad range of people. Asking the opinions of people in California may do a good job of telling you what Californians think about something, but it does very little to tell you what the French think about something. In this case, the poll was made available to people on Fuwa, reddit, and a few other VN communities. Therefore, this poll can be viewed as a decent representation of the opinions of those communities. However, these communities do not represent the entirety of the population of VN buyers or players. Second, the poll is a self-selected poll. That is, rather than randomly selecting people from the available populations, it allowed people to choose to participate. Self-selected polls are very vulnerable to differences in enthusiasm. People that feel strongly about something are much more likely to go and participate in these sorts of polls than those people that do not have strong opinions. This is why there is an entire field of statistics dedicated to polling methods: because careless polls produce inaccurate results. An accurate description of these polling results is that, amongst the populations of the larger VN online communities that chose to answer the poll, there is a bias towards keeping honorifics. One can attempt to draw conclusions about the larger populations from that sample, but your accuracy goes down the further out you extrapolate. Extrapolation to all users of the polled VN communities is reasonably likely to be accurate. Extrapolation to the population of all VN owners is much less likely to be accurate. Extrapolation to the general English-speaking population is very unlikely to be accurate.2 points

MAITETSU 18+ DEMOSAIC STEAM-FAKKU PATCH [COMPLETE]

MAITETSU 18+ DEMOSAIC STEAM AND FAKKU PATCH Did you mistake the quote "100% DRM free and completely uncut with no scenes removed" as "TOTALLY UNCENSORED!"? Do you hate to see squares in beautiful art? Are you from the golden era (JAST USA, Peach Princess, G-Collections) and expected from an localized eroge to get an fully uncut, uncensored and without mosaics game? ... Then this patch is for you. You read it right, the patch does what it says. It removes the mosaic in hscenes from the beautiful artwork. Original MAITETSU 18+ Fakku edition -> you can buy it at the official page: https://www.fakku.net/games/maitetsu-english -> PLEASE SUPPORT english localization by buying the game ! OR BUY FROM STEAM Maitetsu 18+ Release Restoration Patch - FOR STEAM OR BANDAID removal PATCH + restoration patch - FOR FAKKU 1. [Q]: Is it legit? [A]: I can't believe it myself either. But YES! It is real and it does what it says. Try it before reporting or commenting. Thank you. 2. [Q]: Where are the hscenes? I can't find them in the game? [A]: There are no hscenes in the common route, except provoking pictures which the Maitetsu 18+ Release Restoration Patch restores and the actual hscenes won't trigger by default, but during a heroine route, a message will popup at bottom right side of the screen saying that you gain access to a hscene, then you have to manually open the hscene in the menu. It is a game design, not a bug or glitch, it is how LOSE company makes the games. Rarely you will gain access for hscenes during a route, most hscenes are unlocked AFTER finishing the game with that particular heroine. 3. [Q]: When does the DLC hscenes show up? [A]: After you complete the previous hscenes, the DLC hscenes will eventually show up. 4. [Q]: STEAM support? [A]: At the moment I don't own the STEAM version so I can't test it and I don't know if it works. If someone can help me I will make an steam support patch, but you would still need the FAKKU 18+ DLC patch. 5. [Q]: Can we see some screenshot/examples of patch? [A]: Because of the nature of the game as being an loli game I can't post pictures because of the policy of the forum. But if someone wants to see the results before buying the actual game I can send you 2 example pictures. Just send a PM and I will reply with those 2 example pictures. Examples of non-loli characters are in the gallery section. 6. [Q] : What was changed in the new Fakku edition? What's the difference between the OLD and NEW download? [A]: Jacob from fakku has a good description -> https://www.fakku.net/forums/games/maitetsu-fixes-and-updates .Everything written in the section "what has not changed" WAS already fixed already by heliosaurus by his patch and the same fix is present in the new "BANDAID removal PATCH + restoration patch" 7. [Q] Why is there a difference in size between Heliosaurus Restoration patch and "BANDAID removal PATCH + restoration patch" Both patches work perfectly fine and shouldn't have any problems. You can use Heliosaurus on the OLD and NEW version but the BANDAID patch is only for new FAKKU download ONLY. But... the original restoration patch includes fixes which are already fixed in the new version of FAKKU's edition and the BANDAID removal patch just removes this fixes from the PATCH to be less in size. The reason why you could still use the original restoration patch on the old and new version of fakku is that technically the patch is in original form a "patch.xp3" which contains mostly PICTURES! Yes, pictures. And it just replaces those pictures from the original data files which are located in "data.xp3" / "emotedx.xp3", and so on. The KiriKiri engine works like that. When FIRST run, it loads first files from, data.xp3, and all the main xp3, and then LOADS patch.xp3, patch2.xp3, patch3.xp3... and so on. That's why we don't need external programs to patch the original data files, and we can put everything in PATCH.XP3, or PATCH2.XP3, and so on. You can literally replace the whole game with a single PATCH.xp3 file. The restoration patch was made by using resource files from the JAPANESE version and replaces the resource files from the ENGLISH version. So the original restoration patch just OVERWRITES fixes-pictures present in the MAIN game from the NEWEST fakku edition download.... 8.[Q]: That isn't the game we were promised / it is disappointing / don't want to buy the game .... [A]: Well, it isn't a question, I just want to express my opinion... I understand that the release a disappointment, and like everyone, even I would wanted a TOTALLY uncut and uncensored version. I hate the CUTS in western releases, but that was going on for decades not just in VN's look in the old days of SNES games with JRPGS. And in east they get the same results with some western games... Thanks to that, we have two types of ppl - one who are complaining and the the other one who are making uncut/undub/uncensored version of games, from snes to psp/psvita and so on. What I mean is that you shouldn't lose energy in complaining on fakku and denpasoft/sekai, yes even sekai. I understand that sekai don't take releases seriously but at least we got the translated version, whish is a huge WORK. And be thankful, we got "OMG!" Maitetsu! I can't expect newcomers and the ones on fakku to stop complaining ( and I am not saying that you have to start editing, and join the community of moders, but you are always welcome to join ), but at least you at fuwanovel you have no more reasons to complain. At the end you got the complete 1:1 japanese uncut release with english text, and even a little more, with the demosaic patch ( which in the japanese edition they don't have ). .... please ask questions and I will put most common questions and answers here ... Original Fakku forum release: Thanks to the help from a kind benefactor, I acquired the Steam release. Steam users can now y o r o k o b e. Figuring out how the Steam release worked was such a damn pain. Not much was updated, apart from a few thousand scene seek thumbnails. Mainly giving Steam users some love. MAITETSU 18+ RESTORATION PATCH v1.3 7-10-2018 MAITETSU 18+ STEAM RESTORATION PATCH v1.3 7-10-2018 Maitetsu WIP Decensor patch thread The main issues I was dealing with while making that patch that most certainly limited how much I can do are: 1. KrkrExtract just doesn't want to cooperate majority of the time when extracting XP3's. 2. When it does, it doesn't even extract the stuff I needed. 3. Repairing the sprites requires my being able to repack EMote .pbs files with edited .bmp images. Not hard at all to do, just repacking is the issue AFAIK 4. The data.xp3 is encrypted. About half of it KrkrExtract can get done, but the half that i'd need to fully repair the "filesystem" I guess you can say into something usable is. 5. God help me TJS2 bytecode is one of the most disgusting atrocities I have seen. Bless based nihongo tools If there is anyone out there who knows the KiriKiriZ engine or EMote engine, your input is always welcome. Suzu ga besto desu1 point -
Shin Koihime † Musou - Kakumei Son Go no Ketsumyaku
BookwormOtaku reacted to Clephas for a blog entry
First, I should mention that this post is mostly going to focus on how this VN improves on the original content from Shin Koihime Musou. The reason is fairly simple... if you like the series, you'll eventually play this, and if you played the original Shin Koihime Musou, then that is probably what you want to know. I know I would. Next, I will go ahead and come out with it... I loved what they did with this path. The degree of added detail in this VN is actually higher than in Souten no Haou (Gi/Wei), and at least part of this is that it adds in a huge portion of time in the prologue, added story in the later areas of the game, and significantly revamped scenes involving the much larger cast of characters available to the somewhat sparsely-populated (comparative to Shoku/Shu and Gi/Wei) of the original. The prelude (the period of the game starting with Kazuto's arrival through the Yellow Turbans and Dong Zhuo eras) is so completely redone as to be unrecognizable. Son Bundai (Sun Jian) being both alive and present in this part of the game alters how it begins dramatically. Ienren (her manna) is like Sheren/Hakufu magnified with a foul mouth and a fighting power roughly equivalent to Ryoufu/Lu Bu. She is harsh with her enemies, domineering but thoughtful with her subordinates, and rules her people with an iron fist in a velvet glove. Under her tutelage, Kazuto actually ends up pushed into the bloody/dirty parts of war, and as a result, he ends up a bit fiercer/harsher than he is in the other paths at times. This path does indeed follow the basic bones of history (if you know what happens with Sun Jian and Sun Ce in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, you know what I'm talking about), which matches the original events of the path in the original Shin Koihime Musou. However, because of the experiences in the prelude with Ienren, the emotional moments were all the more poignant, and I felt myself able to empathize more with the characters as a whole than I did in the original path, where things seemed to move far too fast through that part of the game. The generalized 'fattening up' of the story is present at all levels, and the story is much more complex in the particulars as a result. While this has the effect of making playing all the way through this path somewhat exhausting, I felt it was worth it in the end. The extra heroines are something of a mixed bag. I really liked Taishiji and Raika, but I despised Pao and was disinterested in Teifu (yet another drunkard older woman in a game that already has way too many). I do want to say that I really seriously don't understand why they kept the system where you can't read all the heroine events each chapter. Sengoku Koihime allows you to read all of them, and it didn't seem to hurt the story... and it was immensely annoying to end up seeing some of the scenes that were slightly out of line with the current progression of the story. Only the 'ruler' heroines' scenes perfectly matched what was going on in the story as a whole, and that disrupted my enjoyment of them immensely. Last of all, as rumored, there is indeed an 'alternate' ending to Go's path, unlike Gi's. This ending branches off at the most dramatic/sad turning point of the original path and gives you a 'what if' for if This alters the events that proceed from there and the ending as a whole greatly. I honestly cried happy tears at this ending, and for those who are displeased with that particular turning point of the original path, it is a treat. Anyway, that is my commentary on this game, for those who are interested.1 point -

Touchuukasou 冬虫夏草 [Petit]
Narcosis reacted to kivandopulus for a blog entry
Foreword: Game had hardy any characteristics but "degraded Kizuato" and I did not plan to make a review of it. However, it managed to keep my attention till the end for over three hours. So maybe it's not really bad? Title: Touchuukasou Developer: Petit Date: 1998-07-17 VNDB link:https://vndb.org/v15352 Youtube walkthrough:https://youtu.be/adRAHxJVaBo Synopsis: In a rural town there has been a series of murders recently. Part of the bodies was lost as if it had been eaten by someone. Toshio Hiyama moved to this town 10 years ago and he was constantly bullied due to his introverted nature to the extent that there might be even another will lurking inside his consciousness... Structure: There are three heroines each with a route. The whole story takes three days. Length: 3 hours Game type: Action mystic beast transformation type. Difficulty: Very easy, there's basically just one big decision for each heroine to flag. Character Design rating: 7/10 Protagonist rating: 6/10 Story rating: 8/10 Game quality: 5/10 Overall rating: 7/10 Rating comments: In my classification that's a masterpiece. Game is integral. It has simple but clean story-line, nice memorable characters, cool battles and most amusing BGM support. Protagonist is too ordinary though and game quality is lacking due to a really old engine with NO keyboard support and with 5 second freezes on BGM change. Protagonist: Hiyama Toshio is pretty much an average high school student Joe who sees strange drams. We don't see his face, so that's it for him. Characters: There are four main heroines. Short brown hair Yuka is your cute and caring imouto. Short black hair Makoto is your shy childhood friend who you meet after 10 years time. And long red hair Akane is... your fun-buddy, without any obligations. Fourth one is short gray hair girl, but she makes a very short appearance in core game time, so can't tell much about her without playing her route. I only played Makoto route since I'm not a fan of imouto and free love. Furthermore, Makoto seemed to have some early memories important for the plot. It turned out that those memories weren't exactly about Makoto, so any heroine of preference can be enjoyed without loosing much on the story. As for Makoto, her route is very sweet and there's a very nice satisfying ending after the battle. At some point she even abandons her shyness and confesses her circumstances which are rather curious. So I'm very impressed with her route, but I don't like other heroines roles and not ready to manually mouse click through their routes. Story: Events develop very fast here. Toshio and Yuka arrive to the school and barely have time to get acquainted with a newcomer Makoto when they get assaulted by a hooligan Shinichi. That's followed by promise to share bento with Makoto daily, some quality time with Akane and yet another same hooligan assault. The next day starts with a hooligan team trap that leads to a massacre. And lastly heroine specific part with a date ensues followed up by old enemy big fight finale. And something to put under a spoiler as well. CG: Very few from the start, but quite numerous closer to the ending. Sound: Somehow I really enjoyed the tunes and the voicing. Everyone but protagonist voiced. Themes: 1) Game is a bit simplistic and fast paced to suggest multiple themes, but the main theme of the game is werebeasts. It goes back to the story about 200 years before about how the wild dogs got massacred and how a shrine and a clan grew from that event in order to commemorate those beasts. There's a huge stone in the shrine connected to the event and it's the touch of the stone that actually raised the wild urges in males of the blood. It's actually very nicely pictured that the memories of clan ancestor are alive in Toshio Hiyama. Those memories and the mystery of the girl shown at the very first scene of the game were the main attraction point for me. 2) What's right - to suppress the beast origin or to seek more power? Unexpectedly, game definitely chooses the second in contrast to Kizuato. In Kizuato hero is being judged of ill-behavior just for his dreams and headaches. In Touchuukasou hero is just destroyed in a bad ending if he tries to suppress his emotions. On the other hand, hero is the only suspect in the massacre where two people died and... he gets away with it very easily. So it's a very simple answer - kill or be killed. Overall comments: Game is not well known and is trashed for being Kizuato clone. And I strongly object to that. Games have absolutely different approach to the beast state. I actually give the preference to Touchuukasou for having an integral fast-paced story with adorable characters over the painfully crumbling structure of Kizuato where nothing big happens in ANY of the routes. Touchuukasou has lots of charming sides and I played the main heroine route to the end. However, I don't see how other heroines can contribute to the story and CG actually confirm that as there are mostly only additional fight CG and HCG of other heroines. [Petit] has grown a lot over the years and I call its last two games Sweepers and Touchuukasou masterpieces. It's really sad to see story-driven works of unique charm overpowered by charage/moege.1 point -

I finally finished Fatal Twelve and I had a wonderful time with it when all is said and done. Rinka is definitely going down as one of my favorite protagonists. The remarkable thing about it was that it consistently surprised me and my expectations.1 point -
You got me interested in that Root Double. However I'll wait for next Steam sale Today I started reading AIR. The very beginning was somewhat slow and tiring (but then, it conveyed MCs feelings and situation perfectly that way, so I guess it's good). As soon as we meet Misuzu, it kicks into action. And then there's one of my favorite VAs - Aya Hisakawa - as Misuzu's mom. Looks promising. BTW the heatwave we're currently experiencing seems perfect setting for reading this VN1 point

In continuation to previous 2 posts – the last VN I finished. Root Double. This is really an awesome VN. I consider it a masterpiece. Reminded me somewhat of Muv-Luv Alternative, maybe primarily because of thorough explanation of every little detail you encounter, thus creating a world you can believe in. It was really a long ride for me (a week to be precise, because no matter how you look at it, it’s always quicker to read in your native language which was not the case this time, only for previous two VNs), but it was definitely worth reading. Sorry for the number of spoiler tags below, tried to do not spell even the names when unnecessary, just in case. About Root After part. Actually, don’t have much to say here. I read it firsthand (and think that’s how everyone should read it) and liked it all very much. Maybe there were some moments to argue about – don’t sure honestly. Even doubt they actually were. Moreover, it was also about kind of thing, like Remember11, so another good point for me. After Good Ending, couldn’t wait for continuation. About Root Before part. It sure took a long time for that route to catch up with events in Root After, that’s for sure. What’s more, it wasn’t only At first (especially if you’re reading that part first, before Root After) you may think that’s just too cliche sometimes. And that’s actually true. Childhood friend again, even 2 of them! Of course both are girls. Transfer student, from overboard to say the least! Again she’s a girl and of course she’s blonde. And at the end of first school day – “I’m gonna protect you and will be staying in your house”. Seriously, could it be even more cliche here? lol Well, later it becomes not so funny and you forget about all that. Btw, it was quite surprising to hear such VA of Salyu. Usually transfer girl has a different personality and way more cheerful voice so i was glad with that change. And overall i’m glad Salyu turned out to be I have some complaints about this route though. One of them is how Also i have to say that among all characters in all routes the one i’m fond of the least is It’s just i feel i have less connection with her than with anyone else, and she’s not exactly my type. In route Double we see stays as the most cliche person till the very end. Albeit, one more time, she’s better than she could be and i’m grateful for that. But she loses to Also Natsuhiko, despite being also your average cliche boy in the beginning of Root Before, later he naturally develops as a character. Actually there is absolute no one person i could say that i hate or dislike him/her. And that’s awesome, all characters are different, all of them have their own motivation as well as back story and background, upon seeing which we better understand them. And how viewing their background was creatively written into story – that’s another point of praise. And not only main cast is great, i also like But my favorite ones are among male (duh, not many persons to choose from here… But he’s really good, despite all certain things) and of course among female – she’s just super awesome, loved her since first glance. I guess are also good, not sure, they are just different, but all are great. And considering characters and their background – Xtend episodes do another fine job to better understanding the cast. Albeit they’re available only after you finish the story, it’s still definitely worth reading (despite many of them you’ve already read during main game, they still sometimes bring some interesting little details to the story, like And when you figure out you understand one more time how creatively that was done and how much work had been made by devs to surprise you and keep your interest. Also, What a useful doll lol About Root Double. At first i want to say that during that route i couldn’t help but smirk to myself about Jokes aside, all of Root Double route was a great conclusion to the story. Well, if you can call a “conclusion” several hours of reading, with duration maybe equal to After/Before/Current routes combined… Anyway, it was really, really great, kinda hard to express with words. And the scene’s name i thing it’s so befitting to events happening at the end. They’re really grand, for the lack of better word. And the way they made that grand ending route is another demonstration of creativity from devs’ side. It was very enjoyable reading for me. It was always hard to stop myself from continuation, only 4 am on the clock did its thing. And it’s not because i “wanted” to sleep, but because i “should” go to sleep, cuz “come on, man, don’t do this to your body!”)) And the only thing i don’t quite like in the ending – Wasn’t necessary at all imo. Also some words about music. OST is also very great, befitting the whole VN. Especially i loved these tracks: (main menu OST, and that’s so good i never tired to listen to it), “Words of Healing” plus some of personal characters’ OST like Overall, i enjoyed the story very much, liked all characters very much even more i liked them the more i’d been reading. But i guess it was to be expected. And i’m really glad that such VNs continue to appear, and hope they’ll continue to appear in the future. I guess everyone who like great stories and thoroughly created worlds should try this VN. And its ending is how it should be, This ending truly warms my heart. And at the true end of story i literally didn’t want to say goodbye to all of the characters after struggling with them all these I wanted to read a bit more, to know for instance if But oh well, all good things come to an end eventually. Anyway, such an awesome story and touching ending. 10/10 Well, that's all for now. So i had a couple of free from work weeks and managed to finish 3 VNs. There’re some of my thoughts about them. I’ll make 3 posts because there is a lot of text, sorry about that. Couldn’t use internet all this time, so… Hope you don't mind. Heavy spoilers alert. Subarashiki Hibi. I really enjoyed this VN. Among the things i want to say/complain about it are those: 1. Don’t quite like how some conversations were really long-drawn. Afterwards, when i finished reading, all of that didn’t feel like such a bother already. But still there’re many such moments. Like in times when 2. I really feel sorry for 3. Aside from point 1, there is one more thing that i can’t tolerate with. I’m talking about when 4. And about End Sky 2 ending. Confusing. Very confusing. My own thoughts atm when i finished were that maybe Dunno, maybe i’m wrong about that 4th point, but that what i thought that time. Actually, that's what i'm still thinking. Also some H-scenes here were... Like those which you don’t see everyday, that’s for sure. It wasn’t actually a pleasant reading. I wanted to be done with them as soon as possible tbh. Gladly, most of them happen only in route so that’s good at least. But they did put quite a heavy impression on me. Overall, once again, it was an interesting reading. With plenty of sad moments as well. To be continue.1 point

(8/1 update) Results of the honorifics survey
bakauchuujin reacted to HonorificsSurvey for a topic
First of all, this poll never claimed it represents the whole VN community. However, it still does represent the places it polled - the core VN community. And this core audience is much more important than some would have you think. The number of registered users on VNDB is not a proof of anything when you don't know how many of these accounts are no longer active, how many are duplicate, how many are vote bots. A much better proof of the size of the VN community as a whole are the sales of an average visual novel, which go from several hundred to several thousand at best (You need to make a distinction between regular VNs and VNs which were largely bought by people outside of the community for various reasons like NekoPara). Another thing you should consider is that "we" are much more likely to be the ones who check out a large percentage of new releases, know the reputation of the various companies, and care about translation quality as a whole. A person who buys a VN on sale on Steam on random, or simply because it was very cheap to do so and they wanted the achievements from it, is not someone who can be marketed to, aside from putting up a pretty title picture and adding achievements to the game. There are people who happily buy machine translations, people who don't know which company released which VN. In short, saying that the people who participate (or even lurk) in all the major VN communities are a small minority of the overall market and we don't even matter is a ridiculous notion. The people who would tell you that are acting in a self-deprecating way in order to fool people into thinking that their opinion does not matter. And they do it simply because the disagree with the results.1 point -

What Anime are you watching now?
Kenshin_sama reacted to Plk_Lesiak for a topic
I've just finished Akashic Records of the Absurdly Long Titles or however it was called, and I have to say I was very satisfied with it. I was looking for a mindless shounen to take my mind of the unbearable heat, which makes my AC-deprived place of residence barely capable of sustaining human life and for the most part, it delivered. I found it funny that after the first episode (which, BTW, is a very shitty opening episode that's pretty much nothing like the rest of the series) the show pretty much only fakes out fanservice and only very vaguely incorporate harem tropes. It's much more about the fights and the protagonist, along with the two main girls really grew on me throughout the various confrontations and life-threatening situations. The first season ends in a somewhat poor moment, without explaining most of the main intrigue, but I've heard the second one is actually coming this year, so I don't think it can be counted as such a big negative. I summary, I know why people give this show so much crap, but I disagree with the overall ratings - for what it tries to do, it's really quite a good series. Of course, I'm a connoisseur of crap when it goes to anime, so my assessments are always of dubious value.1 point -
(8/1 update) Results of the honorifics survey
MayoeruHitori reacted to tymmur for a topic
To put it really simple, say we have a room with 10 people who all bought VNs in the past and we ask those people. We get that 2 wants honorifics, one is strongly against and 7 don't care. In other words that poll gives: 20% for 10% against 70% don't care Now we ask everybody in the room to answer if they like. 6 of the don't care are like "why bother. I'm happy either way". The result from the now self-selected poll gives: 50% for 25% against 25% don't care It's the same people and the same question, but the results differs greatly. While the numbers are made up, the poll in this thread is of the latter type and it's important to remember to not treat it as the first type, hence claiming "it's the eternal truth. We did a big test and got this result". I know I didn't add much new information with this reply (if anything). However since the quote is the core essence of how trustworthy the poll results are, I feel like it would be best to try to explain it in a way, which makes it easier to understand. The quote itself is fine, but the choice of words are keywords from statistically analysis and I fear people with no training in statistical analysis whatsoever will have a hard time understanding "academic talk". We have to remember that some users are of university level, some dropped out of school and the majority is somewhere in between. Figuring out how to write to target all those levels at once is tricky to say the least.1 point -

So, yeah. Finished this today, and I confirm two things I said before: The choice leading to the true ending unlocks after finishing one arbitrary route, but don't choose "For some reason, I saw a blue sky" before you are actually ready to read the true route, or you will be spoiled almost instantly! I believe, it should be added to the walkthrough, it's pretty important. Also, if you don't read Alice's normal ending, the true ending won't make any sense. Don't worry, you won't have to replay the whole route to reach it, the normal ending appears almost instantly after you finish the common route, and only the true end has an actual character route leading to it. Overall, I suggest the following route order: Saki->Yayoi->Keiko->Maia->Alice normal-> Alice true. The bad and the normal endings are not very important and can be skipped, though both of them contain unique CGs. On the other hand, the bad ending is very short and easy to get to. The normal end, if someone is interested, is basically this (chapter 7 spoilers):1 point -

I will be focusing only on the new version ( why support the old one when you can just download the new version ). But technically you can still use the demosaic patch on the old version or at least it is compatible if you dont use the bandaid removal fix. Or do as i described on the upper post with renaming files..... as for the separate patches. I dont plan for each girl a separate patch. Just a small patch until the girl is conplete. And then the small patch will be integrated in the full pach when the girl is complete. So tommorow will be again a complete patch! I would love to make an steam version patch. But : 1. I don have the steam version, I would have to buy the steam version and then buy the fakku patch. 2. Heliosaurus and I discussed about the bringing the demosaic patch to steam. As he said TOS breaking stuff and black screen causes the demosaic patch on Steam. For now I will wait for Heliosaurus when he is ready, or who ever wishes to try make an Steam fix, I will give him all the files needed. 3. At the moment, I don't want to focus on Steam fix, because it would be time consuming daily releasing patches for STEAM and FAKKU editions together. And still don't have the knowledge to make an Steam patch, so I would lose time just on finding out how to make one. But I can promise that I will try to make an Steam fix myself when the demosaic patch is complete for Fakku and then just port it to Steam. If someone has the knowledge and can make a steam fix, I can make at least after every girl on Steam a fix, that won't be a problem.1 point -
So the new demosaic patch is only for the new version of Fakku's game and you plan to release separated patches for each girls? Also is there plans to make compatible with the Steam version?1 point

The answer is yes. You have to have the newer version. As i wont publish anymore fixes for the Old version. But if there is a good reason you cant download the new version. There is a workaround to have heliosaurus patch ( just for the fixes in game) and my bandaid removal patch together. Just rename the bandaid patch - named patch.xp3 to patch2.xp3 and put helios patch in installed folder. And the demosaic patch rename as patch3.xp3.... Thanks in advance for the coffe1 point -
Hi, HH - First, I apologize for this, considering you've worked so hard and answered so many questions already. One thing I would like to clarify - I highlighted the line in your post that I am referring to. From what I have read (and I read all the posts, for the most part) - Heliosaurus patch works on older release and newer, Fakku release; your patch works only on the newer, Fakku release. I have read a couple times and this is what was stated. SO - IF I don't want the "bandaids" version (meaning I want your patch) - I _must_ have the newer, Fakku release first. Is this correct? (No bandaids only possible with newer, Fakku edition). THANKS very very much for all your efforts. If I get a chance, I will happily buy you a large coffee drink :-) Cheers, aprilia1k1 point

Just off doing their own thing, with their friends or by themselves. Most people will check in at a community or two every now and again, but not actively participate. They get their news by browsing storefronts and maybe occasionally checking company twitters and such. People like these are actually the majority of the VN market (thousands of people buy every new release, with many of them being different each time, yet not anywhere near that many people are active or even lurk these communities), but are incredibly hard to get data on and predict.1 point -

Dank-a-Ronpa Ch.4
Dreamysyu reacted to MaggieROBOT for a blog entry
I DON'T EVEN REMEMBER HOW LONG AGO: Not even time travel saved tymmur, but it's not like Dreamysyu, VirginSmasher and Zander would give up so fast! After finding a whopping amount of 1 (one) clue, our heroes started marching to the court room. After whatever won the poll, our heroes finally reached a red velvet room, decorated with golden statues and chains. An extravagant atmosphere, that also made everyone dizzy, just like Ranzo's ego. Speaking of the Devil, he just started singing a Velvet Underground song. Back to the room's interior, we could also see a circle of golden platforms in the exact middle of the room, an arrangement that permitted them to see everyone else should they step behind the platforms. Well, not "should", "must", they have to do it, to save America, or whatever other noble reason. Maggiekuma's throne was located closer to the corner, in a higher ground where it was possible to see everything the plebeians bellow were doing. "Sooooooo, you guys are finally here!" said Maggiekuma, savoring some popcorn. "And whose fault is it, that we're this late?" we can count on batman to rub salt on other people's wound. "Okay, look, I already waste half a screen worth of space with that poll, so let's drop the issue about my lateness! You have better things to discuss!" angrily said Maggiekuma, throwing popcorn at our heroes. Kiri didn't seem offended. "Yeah, like, we can discuss how h-scenes are important to the plot!" Dergonu proposed a circle jerking. "We would stay here all day if we were to discuss that. Instead, shouldn't we discuss... I don't know... about tymmur's death???" Dreamysyu put his protagonism to good use. "Oh right, we should honour the bugger." Poltroon said in a dignified way, almost contradicting his behaviour in the last chapter. "You say that like we're disrespecting him, but these bunch of lines we're saying that never ends is a nice shout out to the fella." justified Fiddle. "Now that's what I call a fantastic homage!" agreed Ranzo, even though deep down they thought that their performance of Fucking Wizard by Reverend Bizarre that was edited out of the story to not split the audience due to musical differences was better. "Okay, I... think I can allow that. But can you guys at least, pretty please, babble while going to your designated seats?" not even I understand Maggiekuma's attempts to save time at this point. "If I remember right here, we have to find the culprit hiding here and then vote for him here so we can continue to live here." littleshogun made a recap. "So what, we just talk and talk about it until the culprit eventually blurts it all out?" Virgin proposed. "That wouldn't be half as fun! So let me explain some additional rules to the trial session!" Said Zander, with his now healed physical injury and forever persisting mental damage. "No need. I microwaved my way through a time where we already listened to the rules before this, so I can tell you guys!" Kurisu saving the day. "You could have, you know, looked for the culprit's name..." Or not. "Well, in short, we have to talk non stop about the same things over and over again even if they are painfully obvious until someone with half a brain figures the bullshit in our arguments and fire a truth bullet through it. We can add some random babble in the conversation too, to make things more of a chore than harder per se." "Putting it like this... god, this game sucks!" everything sucks for you, bats. "So, all we gotta do is shoot first, eh?" said Lesiak, firing a bullet that would put Clint Eastwood's characters to shame. Sasuga, Ultimate Westerner. Too bad SeniorBlitz happened to be in front of him, so he ended with a bullet in his skull. Sasuga, Ultimate Westerner. RIP. "Eeerr... that sounded like Lesiak put a... silencer in his gun." it looked like a very lame and inappropriate joke made by Dergonu, but it was also a nice shout out to Senior's pun habits. "To be quite honest, I think this game will be much more balanced now. He was too overpowered with that guide of his." said the guy that claimed he knows everything about the progress of the story. "I have to agree with that as well. One should not defy the gods." said the guy that defy the gods himself. "Even if we don't like it, you have a point. Now everyone have a fair chance." said the tsun that can time travel. "I'm not a tsundere!" that's not what I said. "A-a-a-a-a-and I'm not just a tsun either!" "Well, except the part about killing each other mid trial, even if I don't really care if you guys actually do it, the trial goes exactly like Kurisu explained. So start presenting some proof or something." "Oh, I have some!" Kenshin finally got the ball rolling. "I also happen to have some." Zander said calmly like this: "I also have something to show." Virgin said proudly. Not even Dreamysyu, that was with him had any idea what kind of clue he found. "Let's start with mine, since I raised my hand first! Okay, I gathered some pics from the crime scene. Maggiekuma, can you lend me a screen to project those?" said Kenshin. "This is really necessary? I mean, we're handling guro material here..." Lesiak asked before I have to rate this fic 18+. "Guro..." Dergonu seems to be controlling himself to not say anything else. "About guro here, I think I could give my opinion on it, but since I'm not into strangling and tentacle anal rape here, I think I'll pass on this here." littleshogun gave his opinion. ".............Not only you're being awfully specific, but no one asked if anyone liked guro either." Ranzo tsukkomied for a moment. "Eeerrr, but don't we just looked at the body? Ignoring that it was 2 eons ago outside the story. How 2D pics can be worse than the real deal?" Virgin asked. "I'm not sure if this 2D vs 3D argument's going to fly on court, mister Virgin." you guys are already on court, mister Poltroon, but he was so naturally on mood for trials that he didn't even noticed his language quirk. "To be honest, the only thing those pics will show is what I'm about to describe." Zander started. "I investigated the body and made a shocking discover: it wasn't the gif that killed tymmur, he was electrocuted!" "Impossible. How such a detail went unnoticed by the gods?" bellowed Clephas, making a question that I didn't really think the answer to. "His feet were stuck into a bucket full of water together with an electric wire. So it means... that someone entered the scene, probably knocked tymmur out cold, stuck his feet into the bucket, put the wire there, send the gif as a red flag and then fled." Dreamysyu put all the pieces together. "But... when did the culprit find the time to do all that?" "He doesn't need time if they can time travel..." Ranzo preferred to chaotic-evilly accuse anyone without proof just for the lulz than actually help. "True that, but unfortunately for your lulz, I have some further proof I'm not the killer. Isn't that right, Kenshin_sama?!" Kurisu said, throwing their ace in the moment they judged to be the most dramatic! "Why people only present evidence on dramatic prompts and not, like, right at the start?" Danganronpa is to blame, bats. "Oh right! The message on the blackboard! I have a pic of it as well!" Kenshin said what they knew. "When both of us entered the scene, we saw this 'Podology services for free!' message written with pink chalk on the blackboard, so maybe that's what baited tymmur." "I don't even know what podology is supposed to be, what's your point?" Virgin didn't understand gay speak. "I'm not sure either, but maybe... you're trying to say that tymmur put his feet inside that bucket by himself??" dramatic song starts playing. "WHATA TWIIIIIIIIIIIST!" not really, Maggiekuma. You're the only one excited here. "Wait a moment. If that's true... why we didn't saw that message when we went to crime scene?" Lesiak questioned. "Because I eventually erased it to write a differences chart between the anime and the VN version of S;G 0 there." calmly explained Kurisu. "Destroying evidence, eh?" Poltroon suddenly became Canadian. "To be honest, it made the episode even more fun to watch, building that chart." the order of the words in Kenshin's explanation looks like something poorly translated from japanese. And then, everyone just removed Kenshin and Kurisu from the blame list because I don't want to drag this any longer. "Okay, I think it's finally time for me to shine!" Virgin raised from his seat, at least I hope I mentioned they were sitting before. "Oh yeah, you apparently had some evidence." Zander trusted Virgin as much as Virgin trusted him. "Yeah, and it's that now dead guy's guide!" "Wait, isn't this cheating?" Dergonu uphold the rules with seriousness. "Not when I'm the one doing it!" said Virgin, quickly turning the pages of Senior's guide. "Soooo, if I got to the right page, I think the way to advance is... to ask Dergonu to hack the system?" "Dergonu, care to explain?" Fiddle asked, judging his comrade. "Oh riiiiight, I was hacking the system to get access to the monitors early, so maybe I can do it again to check some unusual activity." I'm not sure if Dergonu can even do that, but Kaguya is not in the story so this have to do. After some *insert meme and oversimplified explanation of hacker doing stuff* in a laptop that Maggiekuma lent to them, Dergonu turned back to his friends with a sullen expression. "It's no use, I can't even see traces of Kurisu's magecraft there." "Some mod you are." Zander rolled his eyes. "☆=(ゝω・)/" Kiri intervene for the first time! "ヾ(`・ω・´)ノ" They said. "Can someone localize this?" "They're saying that maybe Poltroon or Clephas can try to get access to the system too. They aren't the Ultimate Mod, but maybe their permissions are wacky enough for that to work." Fiddle translated. "WHAT ARE YOU EVEN OBJECTING TO?????" Dreamysyu asked themselves if Maggie didn't do that just because she so wanted to use that pic. "Did Kiri really says all of that with just that smiley?" batman asked the real question. "Yes." Fiddle only nodded, because they know. And somehow everyone just accepted it and the plot moved forward. "Well, since batman stole my catchphrase..." not really, Mr. Edgeworth. "I'll hack into this system of yours instead, to finally make a grandiose entrance in this trial." I think it's a fair trade, solving plot problems instead of saying a meme catchphrase. And with that, his fingers danced through the keyboard of Maggiekuma's laptop. "Ohoooo... what is this?" "Cut the suspense, did you find out who send the gif?" "As a matter of fact, yes. And it was... someone named Dergonu!" DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN! "Absurd! It's not me!!! Just look into my account activity!!! It was pretty much inactive before Dreamysyu asked for my help earlier this morning!" Dergone yelled. "Just for the record, I'm not confirming this piece of information." Dreamysyu threw Dergonu under the bus. "TRAITOR!" "Fret not, my fellow moderator. I never said it was you that did it. I said an account with the name 'Dergonu' is the responsible for this mess, apparently. And for some reason, this Dergonu is also following your account." Poltroon explained. "But wasn't that Dergonu following Dergonu Dergonu themselves?" Kenshin put it in a confusing way, but it was the painful truth. "Oh yeah, that's right. So forget what I said about not fretting, Dergonu, please do fret." Poltroon dealt the final blow. "Wait, we're not doing that retarded rhythm game from Danganronpa now, are we?" Ranzo asked. Even if he was a music enthusiast, no one deserves that annoying game. "No lol, that minigame is stupid, I can go down without that and with my dignity instead, thank you very much." Dergonu explained. "So it WAS you the culprit here. You must be quite interested here in how to mouth those obviously delicious and long and thick bananas here to actually commit murder for it here." littleshogun disapproved. ".................I think you're the only one that still remembers that was supposed to be our motivation." Virgin felt some degeneration in the air. "Nah man, I didn't do it for some dumb book." Dergonu switched to their evil villain personality. For some reason, no one was really surprised. "So, why did you kill tymmur?" "For the ~~***GURO***~~, of course!" And them they started some chant that looked like a chuuni villain speech. "KILL, PUNCH, STAB, BLEEEEED!!!! Why is this frustrated Derg so mad? I hope you can't answer me, as your brains escape through your ears! Dance, Derg, at the rhythm of the falling severed fingers! Crawl in my direction leaving your intestines in your trails! You can't take your eyes of Derg, so I'll take them out for you maggots!" for some reason, Dergonu started talking about themselves in third person, something as bad as guro. "Okay, but where's the sexual part in those things you describe? That's just regular gore." asked Dreamysyu. "Well, I'm sexy (/ω\)" Kiri wasn't amused with Dergonu trying to copy them. "Is this... the real Dergonu?" Lesiak asked, somehow surprised that he didn't recognize his friend that had a whopping amount of maybe 5 lines in 3 chapters worth of characterization. "Actually, now everything is starting to make sense." Really? "They did that... because they wanted to be guroed themselves." "mWAHAHAKWAKWA~ mAYBE?! <3" Dergonu's maniacal laugh echoed in the chamber. "Well, if that's what this shell of a human being is asking for..." Clephas started a summoning spell. "KILL, PUNCH, STAB, BLEEEEED!!!!..." no, I won't create 2 mantras in a single chapter. "HOLD YOUR HORSES! I CAN HANDLE THIS!" said Maggiekuma, wanting to shine in this chapter as well. "The Punishment time is on the house! And I prepared some pretty cool Visual Novel style execution!" Saying that, Maggiekuma took an old grimoire whose cover was covered in a cat's hide. The Legendary Nekonomicon. It seems Senior's soul is still trapped in the courtroom, as the lame puns are out of control. Cutting off one of their finger and pouring the blood over the cursed book's page, Maggiekuma summoned Dergonu's executioner. "Who's better to punish bad Dergonu than the very own Empress of the Banished Lands?" In the next moment. The sky suddenly went dark. They were indoors, but they noticed it through a TV that Maggiekuma turned on in that instant or something. But the reason for that suddenly invaded the courtroom too. Wasps. A fuck ton of them. Their buzzing was quite loud, almost looking like they were omegaloling at the characters' misery. The characters that had closer ties with Hell knew what were those wasps. The poster boys (boys is even the right word here?) of the Banished Lands, the symbol of the Queen. And indeed, short after, she appeared. The High Mistress Neko, the Ultimate Catgirl. Clad in a beautiful samurai armor and carrying a giant samurai sword, she was danger incarnate. She also had massive breasts that were in fact just two gigantic spherical bombs just to be even more dangerous. She approached Dergonu with a smile on her face, the wasps flying around her now buzzing a chorus latin song to be even more chuuni. "Ahaha, so you're the boy who needs some punishment?" she asked in a voice that almost made you want to be punished. "Only if you don't be gentle with me." Well, apparently Dergonu DID wanted to be punished. "Desu wa~" said the Neko Queen in gratuitous japanese that didn't really make any sense here. "So, time to...!" [The content of Dergonu's execution was considered too extreme for Fuwa rules, so I removed it according. I count with the help of fans to restore this content! Thanks for the comprehension! Actually no, fuck you.] Even if the guroing was lazily cut, I didn't rewrite the scars it left in the other guys that lived and watched everything in horror. Although Ranzo did like the violent style of the High Mistress, so they actually took some notes of things to copy when they eventually tries to kill someone. It will be censored all the same to be honest. Eventually the Neko Samurai walked away with her wasp companions, what left our heroes begging for it to be just a dream. "Let me guess, you'll copy that 'Dreamysyu woke up in their usual seat blah blah blah' again next time, right?" now even Dreamysyu is snarking at me. NEXT TIME: Two more down, thirteen to go. What awaits our heroes next? "Hopefully not another long ass waiting again!" Virgin released one last drop of poison.1 point -

But they did fixed the missing cg in common route and the separate routes in the neweset fakku edition ( which was already fixed by heliosaurus in his patch and it is still present, and i just removed that part to reduce the size of patch ).... and if what the say is true there shouldnt be missing any lines of translations, which we as a community couldnt fixed so easily... in short. SubaHibi is a complicated, demanding game that is extremely foreign to Western sensibilities in its formula. It's not that hard to explain Clannad, Dies Irae or even Muv-Luv to a Western gamer, but after a year of reading about SubaHibi every other day, I still only have a very vague idea what it is about. It might be popular in Japan, where Eroge is already a major industry and people are used to extreme mixes of themes and drastic content it offers, but it's pretty much one of the hardest things to sell in the West. It could dissuade JP companies from investing in the localization of other large plotge, but I think it's a very peculiar case and we shouldn't read too deep into it - SubaHibi might be a masterpiece, but it's also a particularly quirky and hermetic one and as there was no real idea on how to sell it to anyone but hardcore VN geeks that already wanted it, it'd be strange if it didn't flop.1 point

MAITETSU 18+ DEMOSAIC STEAM-FAKKU PATCH [COMPLETE]

I am appreciative and grateful how much attention got the mod/patch... The patch itself is an selfish project. I just wanted to remove the mosaic in the game because i gathered so much frustration from past localized releases which are with mosaics and said to myself "enough is enough". Wanted to see how hard is to make an uncensored game. Better to release all that frustration in trying to make a difference then complaining on forums/reddit and so on1 point -
