  1. Personally, I never got into this series, but the girls are cute and there is a huge amount of Da Capo games out there. A former member of this forum called @ParanoidGegnar, who is now a christian missionary of sorts was a giant fan of the series and had written a review of the Sakura Edition with most of the Da Capo games and soundtracks on Visual-novel.Info. Since I got nothing valuable to contribute to this, you can check the review here and be overwhelmed how much stuff you have to play before D.C.5 becomes relevant to you. 2. Siren's Call: A free Denpa visual novel where you escape from an actual tourist trap. Siren's Call is a Denpa visual novel loosely based off of my experiences living in (and escaping) Central Florida as an adult on the autism spectrum. The game was a passion project made by myself, my wife, my best friend, and a couple other close friends and freelancers. It took us roughly four years to complete and is now out on Steam for free. While your millage may vary on how scary you find the game (much of it is based off of my own personal fears), I can say with conviction that you will feel the love and effort put into this project. Steam Download: here Features and stuff: 7+ hours of Visual Novel Gameplay with dire consequences for how you choose to spend this final day of yours. 55 journal entries and and 60 unlockable gallery images for those who want to explore everything this town has to offer. An original story centered on saying goodbye to friends rather than saying hello to strangers. A dynamic, original soundtrack meant to perfectly capture the feel of central Florida music. A cast of lovely characters that only want what's best for you. A 94% positivity rating on steam with 150+ reviews! (not a feature, but I'm proud of this one} Characters: Judith, the exceptionally sweet (and extraordinarily intense) sovereign of Siren’s Call! Andi, the sovereign’s sassy twin sister whose strength and spunk speak volumes on their own! Ashton, a hero in training whose sizable fist is matched only by the size of his heart! Emil, the once timid boy turned man who will not stop until he reaches absolute perfection... and, of course, Violet: your actual girlfriend. We've finished the main game which you can find on steam right here, but my team and I are also making extra story content as well! Prove You Aren't Dead: A Epilogue While it is true that our team succeeded where many others have failed and got Siren's Call out in a playable state, it is far from being "complete." Over the course of the past five months, I've released a few bonus stories acting as a prequel of sorts to the events of the main game. But in terms of the true epilogue...that is what I'm going to be working on for the foreseeable future. If you would like to support this project, there's a link to the kickstarter right here, but I mostly just wanted to create this post as a little home where I can post updates on not just this new content, but Siren's Call as a whole. If anybody has any comments or feedback on the project, I am very excited to hear them and discuss your experiences. This VN has been my wife and I's life for the past few years and if ya'll have any thoughts, don't hesitate to share them. Until then, enjoy your stay in Siren's Call.

  3. Some cool new announcements that I was not aware of at all. Watamari I knew, but there is a new Sunrider Episode coming and also this Qualia and Clea & Clea game. Also good news on Hoshizora no Memoria Eternal Heart and Clockwork Ley-Line Ep 3.

  4. While granted there's no much appreciation when it come to Sekai compared to Nekonyan or JAST as of now, at the very least they're still came up as one of the stable company when it come to the release number regardless of whether said releases are big or not. That said though, they recently tried out some questionable release such as released Chinese version first before finally released English version, which would make them came off as a bit lazy to do English translation. One of the recent happening is Hamidashi, in which they just release it in Chinese first with the English version will be come 'a little longer later' that can came off between five (Love Sweets Garnish 2) to nine months (Amairo Chocolata) later, although seeing that Hamidashi is quite long Sekai may take more than a year to finally release it in English. On the video aside, well I suppose I should say that good for Sekai to finally released their four years abandoned announcement Miko no Kanata. I actually like the graphic in Our Marriage here, although seeing that it's the first part of serial VN it should be obvious that the story is still not finished yet (I also suspect the developer may intend to make 18+ patch of it later). There's Qualia in that it's the most likely their next English release, although if I may be blunt my interest here is solely going to Morning Mist (Tokeijikake 3) alone in which the video here didn't actually offer much more info than I already know. Of course though I still look forward to the time when Sekai will announce the release date for it, especially with they say soon. In the end, while I can't say that this video here offer juicy information enough, at least this is a good video for anyone else who didn't follow the progress on Sekai Project closely enough. Lastly, I hope that Sekai can keep making similar video in the future.

  5. And you better hope Sekai does not take this one, because they will just put it on the shelf where they keep the titles that probably won't see the light of day for the next 5 years or more. Gosh, just look at their nearly 40 titles with TBA release date...

    Script Extraction Thread

I'm rather new at script extracting so I would like some assistance. I'm trying to extract scripts in the Kirikiri/KAGE X engine. KrkrExtract didn't work when I tried. As error message came up saying it only supports krkrz engine. I extracted the data.xp3 using Garbro, but the scenario files were in .ks format. I looked some stuff up and figured I needed to use a hex editor and according to the guide at the start of the topic: script format: encrypted kstools needed: hex editorstatus: testedinfo: open the *.ks script into hex editor, and insert "FF FE" at the very beginning, usually only applied for akabeisoft and its imprint. But I'm not familiar with hex files so I don't know what this means. I'm just trying to get the script into a readable format for potential translation. Could someone help a guy out?
