Footprints in the Delusion Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Visual Novel Translation Status (09/10/2022) Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and since we have H2O new translation project announced along with Chaos Head Noah released, I'd make a parody of H2O full title 'Footprint in the Sand' (Also the other name of the Footprints poem) by changing 'Sand' into 'Delusion', so we have 'Footprints in the Delusion' for the title (For the info, delusion here is the main theme of Chaos Head and obviously it's still apply in Noah). For this week while I can see this is an active one seeing that we have a number of releases along with the new project announced, unfortunately the circumstance behind the released VNs here can't make me think that this is an exciting week, so instead overall I can only say that this is just an above average week. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week. As you can see Valve decided to revoke the ban for Chaos Head Noah for some reasons, and as the result we have this released on PC as well which mean we finally have the definitive version of Chaos Head in PC. But just because it's finally released didn't mean that the problem is resolved, because turned out that there's a lot of mistranslation that can reduce the immersion or something like that, and so obviously the fans has the right to be wary about it. Of course though that our Committee of Zero here is willing to fix all of the mistakes in Noah, and so with Valve revoke the ban of Noah they can put the focus on fixing those mistakes with the planned release estimation will be within this month. As for the premise, well it's more or less Chaos Head with the addition of the routes for the heroines that add more to the setting. Go get Noah if you've been holding out playing Chaos Head since 2009 (Or perhaps wait a bit longer for the patch), and have fun. We finally have updates from Mangagamer, but before going to that we have Cherry Kiss did release the isekai nukige with two goddess as the heroines, so you can get it if you like the VN that has the premise the MC has sex with two goddess of the other world and have fun. For Mangagamer's update, the most notable one is that we have Rance IX was finished the testing and right now they working on the post-testing scripting of it. Nightmare x Sisters here is also entering post-testing scripting, so perhaps both of it and IX are almost ready for the release. We also have Mangagamer prepared both of Lkyt and Raillore testing, Hentai Public Service was in testing, Sona-Nyl bonus content was 95% integrated, Funbag Fantasy 2 is at 33% translated along with 32% edited, and Rance X translation progress was regressed to 47% which turned out is because the translator find out some hidden new lines along with he decided to use different way to count the progress (The translator's tweet for more info). From fan translation, we have Chronos is at 55% translated, Yosuga no Sora is at 64% TLC-ed along with past a quarter (27%) edited, Senmomo is at 73.49% edited with Chapter 5 is at 85.01% edited, ChuSingura is at 13.46% translated, and Eustia is at 98.52% in programming with Licia's chapter is at 92.13% in programming. As for H2O new translation project, it's established by Imaimo translation team and currently it's been at 22.1% translated with Hayami's route is at 45.1% translated. For the info H2O is the old Makura VN with Makura itself is the company behind Subahibi developer, which mean obviously SCA-JI involved in H2O development. The team will use the complete version that included the side story Root After and Another (So the complete version here is more or less like Hello Lady Complete Edition (Duh)), although I still call it as H2O for simplicity sake. Lastly we have Harugi patch released, although instead of full translation patch we only have 4 out of 6 routes are translated with the remaining two routes are untranslated. While I understand that why the translator didn't want to do it seeing that the remaining two routes are quite average according to the translator along with the difficulty to recruit the translator to translated the remaining two routes, in the end I can only say that I understand if some people feel regret toward the rest of two untranslated routes even with the circumstances aside. Anyway for the premise we have our MC Tsukasa as the teacher who got the job to teach in the high class school, although turned out that the school that Tsukasa teach is the branch school with the location is in the remote area along with the students that isolated from the rest of the world for some reasons. Go get Harugi translation patch if you want more Pulltop VN that still has the sex scenes and didn't mind that it's partially translated, and have fun. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.1 point -
Code Kotodama Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
First of all welcome to this week VNTS Review and sorry for being very late here. Anyway as for the title seeing that Amatsutsumi has Kotodama power which to say is very reminiscence of Geass from Code Geass anime (In which the Nook Gaming review on Amatsutsumi did point it out), I decided to make parody of Code Geass by changing 'Geass' to 'Kotodama' for an obvious reason so we have 'Code Kotodama' as this week review title. As for this week, while we have some interesting updates from fan translation along with the announcement of Aokana EXTRA2 even with said announcement is more or less quite predictable, in the end it's still a below average one bordering plain although I still like some of the updates here. With that done, let's see what I can write in regard of this week as well. JAST announced that they'll release one of the title that they announced on AX on 29th later, although unfortunately said title is not either Tokyo Necro or Gears of Dragoon 2 but instead it's Inyochu which as we know has some female demon hunter who will suffer the rape from the monster (You can note the date if you interested with it). As for Nekonyan's Aokana EXTRA2 announcement, while we should already see it happen in the first place it's still nice to see that we have Nekonyan did confirm it as the hard proof. EXTRA2 itself is the fandisc of Aokana with the main focus on Misaki, and from the review that I read apparently it has quite high production value with some focus on Flying Circus. As for the progress it's been fully translated, and of course it didn't mean that it's ready for the release because there's still some works to do such as porting the engine because for some reason sprite still didn't manage to add Music Gallery in Japanese version of EXTRA2. For fan translation update, we have ChuSingura was at 9.20% translated, White Album 2 Mini After Story had the last after story was past halfway (52%) translated, Houkago Cinderella was at 56.83% translated, Ciel route Day 11 of Tsukihime Remake was fully translated, Chronos was at a quarter edited, and Senmomo was at 68.78% edited with Chapter 5 was at 44.80% edited. We also have two surprise updates, with one of those from Nursery Rhyme in which the translator just finished all the insertion progress and so the translator as of now doing the testing before releasing the patch. Another one is from Lupercalia, in which the translator did manage to translate 50 out of 94 script files which apparently consist of the common route. Anyway the translator here decided to try finish the translation work by October, and let's see if he'll manage to do it later. This week we have several updates from Daybreak Translation, starting from Ginharu in which as of now we have 32 out of 37 script files of Yuzuki's route along with her 9 out of 10 her sex scenes were translated. We also have the update in regard of Schwarzesmarken, although unfortunately it's in regard on how the developer decided to do C&D to the project so Daybreak decided to comply with it and thus the project was dropped (Well at least it mean that age still care for Schwarzesmarken and thus we may see age decided to work on it in the future). Other than Schwarzesmarken C&D, we also have the update in regard of Akagoei FD with the translator was already finished translated Takanori Extra story. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week and once again sorry for being late here. See you next week.1 point -
I NEVER Want to Say to my Older Brother that I'm His Younger Sister Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Visual Novel Translation Status (11/09/2022) Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for this week we have multiple releases as well, although unlike last week this time all of those are not MTL so you don't need to worry in regard of MTL here. To summarize it, those releases are Imaimo, Himeyoku, and yet another nukige from Cherry Kiss with the biggest release is obviously Imaimo. We also have several new project established, and that Sekai also have several updates on this week even though it's quite unfortunate that there's no Hamidashi translation progress from them. So overall I suppose I can say that this week here is another above average one, and let's see what I can write in regard of this week. Oh yes, as for the title I'll tell about it on PS later. As for Cherry Kiss release, to be frank I have nothing to say other than that the localized title is obviously a parody of Pokemon English catchphrase. For the premise, well it's about the MC from the other world who summoned to the world that only has female as a sacrifice to seal the demon queen, and after he has sex with the queen who is satisfied so much that she pledge royalty to the MC and had him as the king, the MC decided to teach the meaning of equality by having sex with all races in his new world. Go get the VN if you want more Cherry Kiss nukige, and have fun. Shiravune delayed their Monochrome Mobius release to November 16th with legitimate reason, in which apparently one of the staffs was get caught up by Covid which considering the number of daily cases in Japan (For the info the daily cases in August end could reach up to around 250,000 cases) it's most likely to be true. In exchange though they managed to have released Himeyoku, which at least it has some quite nice graphic even though I would like to see that Yamizome Liberator being translated. Anyway in here we have the MC who manage to get revenge by attacked the king who made his life miserable by using some sort of mysterious power, although his interest is not in politic but instead it's in regard of have sex with the princess, and so he used his power which revealed that he was got by made a pact with five female demon to rape the princess. Go get Himeyoku in Steam or Johren if you want to see more Escude VN, and have fun. For Sekai's update, we have Yumeiro was at 30% edited, Nie no Hakoniwa was a 45% translated, Gakkou no Seiiki was fully edited, and last but not the least we have Our Marriage 1 was announced to be released on 23rd later along with it was already 90% in QA. Once again it's still too bad that there's no update on Hamidashi or even Raspberry Cube, but I suppose Sekai may start working on the former after they released the Chinese version of it first. We also have some update in regard of Slow Damage, in that it's currently in testing so we may have it released in the near future, although looking from how frequent JAST tweet something related to Gore Screaming Show related we may see it as JAST's next release. Of course we have some fan translation update, and for the roundup we have Houkago Cinderella was at 58.88% translated along with 7.02% edited, ChuSingura was at 11.38% translated, Chronos was at 35% proofreading, Day 7 Ciel's route of Tsukihime Remake was finally fully translated, White Album 2 Mini After Stories was fully translated with two after stories are fully edited and playtested, and Eustia was at 97.87% in programming with Licia's chapter was at 88.68% in programming. We also have new project for Planetarian Snow Globe translation by Snow fan translation group, and for the info Snow Globe here is the short prequel of Planetarian with Snow Globe itself was already at a quarter translated. Almost forgot to mention that we already have one more sex scene from Aojashin Case 3 was translated, so for Aojashin currently we have 11 out of 17 sex scenes of it are translated. We also have several updates from Daybreak, with one of those is in regard of Ginharu in that they will try to finish with it by November later, although whether it'll lead to full patch release later or not we'll see. Another update is in regard of Akagoei FD in that the translator already finished with Moe's route, and so he continued with working on Tae's route next. Lastly we also have new project from them, and said new project is Kusarihime in which it's the old Liar-soft VN from way back in 2002. Kurarihime itself is well known as the VN that inspired Urobochi Gen, Tanaka Romeo, and Kinoko Nasu which as we know are famous VNs writers, although looking from the graphic it may look dated. Then again, graphic itself won't be a factor alone when it come to see how good the VN is, so perhaps we may see people like Kusarihime later. We already have the progress on it, and as of now 120 out of 256 script files of it are translated which is good seeing that they set the release on 2023 later. Nekonyan already announced that they'll have their next release, and said release is Ren'ai x Royale in which they'll release it in 30th later. No much to say other than it would be nice to just expect this as full comedy VN with some romance instead of romance VN with some comedy seeing that it's another ASa Project VN, and I mention this because I saw several comment on how Royale is less received compared to Karichaimashita along with on how apparently people have some problem with Karichaimashita here. Oh yes I did forget to mention this beforehand, so I'll say that ASa Project here did give one of side heroines a good side route with said routes has more substances compared to the side routes in Karichaimashita. Last but not the least, we have Imaimo translation patch released. For the info Imaimo here is the prequel of Koichoco (Even though it's focused on different characters) with two of it's heroines, Chisato and Satsuki, appear as the relatives for Imaimo's heroines, and Imaimo is all age VN in the first place so no need to worry on either removed sex scenes or mosaic. For the premise it's about our MC Rikuto who need to face the fact that his father remarry to a single mother who is have a cute son (Ayumu), and said son is causing Rikuto's heart beat faster for some reasons. Obviously since sprite never produce BL VN, Ayumu turned out to be a girl who want to tell Rikuto that she's his little sister only to have no courage to do it, and because of the circumstances she was told to dressed as the boy by her mother. From there Rikuto start his new life with Ayumu, and possibly find his new life partner. Go get Imaimo if you want more sprite VN because it has nice art, and have fun. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week VNTS Review, and see you next week. PS - As for the title, it's obviously the direct translation of Imaimo full title. Or maybe not at all, because actually the direct translation for Imaimo full title is 'I Want to Say to my Older Brother That I'm His Younger Sister Now!', in which obviously it depict that Ayumu want to tell her status as the MC younger sister as soon as possible. Of course though it's another VA joke here, in which it's once again from Ayumu's VA, Chihara Minori, who voiced one of Rune Factory 3 bachelorette Sofia (Japanese one obviously) who's her quirk is to speak opposite of what she want to say, and I'll try to replicate it in the title even though I'd just write 'never' in all capital to emphasize the opposite speaking because there's no red font for the title. For the info, in Rune Factory 3 every time Sofia speak opposite the word will be painted red, and you can see Sofia's events in this video to understand it.1 point -
Cinderella of the Red Castle Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Visual Novel Translation Status (18/09/2022) For this week VNTS Review title, since we have Houkago Cinderella C&D (Which to say it's not a good news for obvious reason) along with the announcement in regard of Akai Ito and Aoishiro HD version, I joined the word 'Cinderella' for the obvious reason along with 'Red' from Akai Ito (Translation note 1: Akai mean red) and 'Castle' from Aoishiro (Translation note 2: Shiro mean castle), so we have 'Cinderella of the Red Castle' as this week title. As for this week itself, seeing that there's the aforementioned Houkago Cinderella C&D along with the less updates on fan translation I can say that this week is a plain one, although we also have several interesting announcement from Tokyo Games Show so in the end I can say that this week is a below average one. Anyway, let's see what I can write in regard of it. Nekonyan decided to give C&D notice to Houkago Cinderella translation project, which mean that the translation group obviously need to drop their translation activity and so they decided to comply. While it's understandable that one can be disappointed towards Nekonyan's action and the project being dropped here, in the end Nekonyan need to comply the contract that they'd have with Hooksoft, which one of those may be included the necessity to protect the license of Hooksoft's VNs in order to keep the relationship stable. Well I suppose it's too bad that there won't be Houkago Cinderella full translation for unforeseen future, although if anything else perhaps we may have Nekonyan localize it in the future. We also have one update from Sekai and it's in regard of Amairo Chocolata 2, in which they just starting the QA on this so at least it mean that we may have it released in the near future. In Tokyo Game Show (TGS) Kogado decided to announce the remake of their old VN, and said VN is Tristia in that they'll remake it as Tristia: Legacy along with them also planned to release the new action like VN Tristia: Restore. The most interesting thing here is that Kogado will release those two in the next year with multiple language support, and one of the language is obviously English. For Trisita itself, it's about our female MC Nanoca who tasked with the heavy task to restore the ruined town in her grandfather place, but compared to her legendary grandfather she's more or less still a newbie. Even so Nanoca won't give up to help the town people and so she'll her skill to restore the town. For more info, you'll engage in the Atelier-like gameplay where Nanoca will create the item that will help her quest. From fan translation first of all we have Ittaku preparing for Harugi's translation patch release, although it should be mentioned that it won't be a full translation patch because Ittaku was only translated 4 out of 6 routes, and as of now currently he's been doing some work in regard of bug now that he's been finished inserting the text. By the way if you need some progress on Harugi, currently it's been at 1% in QA. For the rest of fan translation updates, we have 132 out of 255 script files of Kusarihime (Note that there's 255 script files instead of 256 script files in Kusarihime) are translated, ChuSingura was at 12.12% translated, and Chrons was at 40% translated along with 35% in proofreading. We also have yet another Muv Luv FD translation patch released, and you can get it if you've been Muv Luv fans and in mood for some more material of it (By the way the FD here has the crossover with Kiminozo). The most interesting news for this week is obviously in regard of the announcement for the HD version of Akai Ito and Aoishiro from TGS that will also support English language, and yes I said that it's the most interesting news even though Aoishiro here is already have the translation therefore Aoshiro HD here is technically redundant, although actually the available translation patch here is still lacking in some parts so at least it's worth to wait for the HD version. In case you thought that it's not worth to get the HD version of Aoishiro because it's a redundant one and you didn't mind the lacking part of the translation patch, at least it's worth to get for Akai Ito in that the only available translation patch is only translate 88% of it (ie it fully translate all but one route). The HD version for both will be released on the next year and it'll be available for PC, in which it mean that we finally can play Akai Ito without the need to use PS2 emulator because for some reason Success decided to keep Akai Ito as PS2 exclusive. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.1 point -
Shione-sama: Love is War Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Visual Novel Translation Status (02/10/2022) Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as you can see that it should be obvious that the biggest news is in regard of Royale release by Nekonyan, although for some people arguably the bigger news is in regard on how Spike Chunsoft finally announce that Noah PC version is indeed banned by Valve. Other than that, we also have some updates from Shiravune and fan translation in which while it's not big at least it's quite a nice one to a degree. There's also some updates from Sekai Project in which they finally do the updates from several feng VN, and of course we still have some updates from fan translation. Overall I suppose I can say that this week is an above average one, and let's see what I can write in regard of it (I'll tell you about the title on PS later). Honestly speaking I'm pretty much neutral in regard of Noah, especially after I know that most of the contents is the same as the old Chaos Head. That said I can understand on why some people did say Noah as the definitive version of Chaos Head, because it's have routes addition that supposed to add more info in regard of the setting so it's too bad to have Valve decided to ban Noah for some reasons, especially when one consider that this is the first time they made the PC version of it because Mages never released PC version of it (So far Noah here is only available on consoles). I can give some of my speculation on why Valve banned this, but in the end only Valve can explain the reason why. At least Spike Chunsoft here is willing to look up for more storefront, although because of that they need to delay the release for PC version. Oh yes Committee of Zero here is still working on Noah here, with their current progress is they're fully TLC-ed and edited 96.84% of it. Turned out that the one who will localize Sacrifice Villains is Shiravune instead of Mangagamer, in which admittedly I should see it coming from the fact that there's Chinese language listed as the planned language support, although overall there's no much change besides the chance that it'll be available on Steam and there'll be mosaic in the sex scenes. We also have Shiravune released Dawn of Kagura: Maika’s Story – The Dragon’s Wrath with the premise is that we have the titular Maika as the MC who keep fighting against youkai who keep bothering human, and of course she face the risk that she can be raped by the monsters as per usual Kagura shrine maiden gameplay VN series. Go get the VN if you want to see more shrine maiden (Just beware that the interface is still untranslated), and have fun. Anyway the release aside, I hope that the rest of the planned Shiravune's announcements will be more interesting than their initial five one. Like I mentioned beforehand, this week Sekai have several updates in regard of feng VN, although this week they also have released Hamidashi which unfortunately is in Chinese version. They did stated in regard of English release though, in which it's 'a little longer' that to be said can be more than a year seeing that Hamidashi is a lengthy VN. If anything else, at least they manage to set the Steam store for it which is nicer than it sounds seeing that Valve can be random when it come to ban (Like the aforementioned Noah), so good for them. For the update, we have Akaneiro is at 30% translated, Chiisana Kanojo is at 20% translated, Nie no Hakoniwa is at 60% translated, and Zutto Mae Kara Joshi Deshita is at a quarter translated. From fan translation, we have 167 out of 255 script files of Kusarihime are translated, Chronos is at halfway translated, Manakashi is roughly 54% translated, Yosuga no Sora is at 64% TLC-ed along with 24% edited, both of Sora's and Yahiro's route from Haruka na Sora are translated, ChiSingura is at 13.2% translated, and Senmomo is at 72.73% edited with Chapter 5 is past three quarter (78.54%) edited. We also have Fakku announced their next nukige release Sei Yariman in November later, and good for the one who want some release from Fakku. Speaking of announcing release, we have Nekonyan open the Steam store for Mirai Radio which obviously mean that it's almost ready for the release. Just in case you're worry about the sex scene, it'll be intact in which is very ironic if we know what happen with Aojashin. For the release date, it's estimated to be released within this year after being changed from October release plan, so let's see it later. The biggest news to me here is obviously in regard of Nekonyan newest release Royale, in that it's another VN from ASa Project that said to put more focus on the comedy than the romance, which really says a lot seeing that ASa Project usually has a lot of comedy. For the premise we have our MC Hirotaka who wish to have a girlfriend decided to hit a girl, with the girl is turned out to be student council president, Shione, with her secretly really want to be got hit and have slight narcissist tendency. Turned out that his wish to get the girlfriend is fulfilled by a new transfer student Mari who claim that she's been in love with Hirotaka since their childhood, and add Shione along with the other girls caused Hirotaka's everyday live is more chaotic than it was thanks to several girls decided to held battle royale in order to win Hirotaka's love. Anyway, this one should be good VN if you want to read some more comedy VN, so go get Royale and have fun. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week. PS - Since the English subtitle for Royale here (Love's a Battle) is obviously resemble the almost finished Kaguya-sama: Love is War manga, I figure that I should make a parody of it by simply changing 'Kaguya-sama' into 'Shione-sama' so we have 'Shione-sama: Love is War' as the title.1 point -
Our Villain Academia Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Visual Novel Translation Status (25/09/2022) Since we have Clock Up announced that they'll localize their newest title Sacrifice Villains in the future along with that we have Our Marriage 1 released, I figure that I should make reference toward Boku no Hero Academia manga English title, My Hero Academia, by changing 'My' into 'Our' and 'Hero' into 'Villain', so we have 'Our Villain Academia' as this week VNTS Review title (By the way Justopia in Sacrifice Villains is remind me of All Might from My Hero Academia manga). Anyway welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for this week honestly speaking it's still the same in that it's another below average one to me even with the releases seeing that some of those are console only otome VN, although I know though some may interested with those otome releases here. Anyway, let's see what I can write in regard of this week as well. Clock Up announced their newest VN, Sacrifice Villains, will also be available in English sometimes after Japanese release date (December 23rd) later. As for the one who will localized it, the most obvious candidates seems to be Mangagamer so let's see if it'll be the case later. Cherry Kiss announced yet another nukige (Hentai Heaven's Slutty Salvation) with the premise is more or less the ungrateful king who imprisoned the MC that is the isekai hero after said hero help the king, and the MC will do the payback to the king after he take care of his manly desires towards the twin goddess who summon him. In case you want to see more of it, it'll be released on October 7th later. Lastly we have Shiravune will release the last of their five initial announcements (Dawn of Kagura: Maika's Story - The Dragon's Wrath) on 30th later, and here's hoping there'll be interesting announcements in one of eight Shiravune announcements later. In case you have Switch and want to some play otome VNs, both Aksys and Idea Factory by released Piofiore 1926 and Amnesia fandisc respectively. That said though, apparently you need to play the prequel for those otome VN because apparently those new releases are the sequels, so perhaps it might be the right time if you want to play the main game first in case you still don't play those yet (By the way at least Idea Factory here did release Amnesia for PC). Have fun if you already have those otome VNs because you interested with it and already played it. From fan translation, first of all our Ittaku already do the playthrough proofread for three out of four translated route in Harugi with the last route left is Shino's route, and he also said that if all goes well (ie not finding any new bugs) it's possible to see him release the patch within this week so let's see it later. For the rest of fan translation updates, we have 149 out of 255 script files of Kusarihime are translated, Chronos is at 45% translated, Tae's route in Akagoei FD is fully translated and now the translator start to work on Tsuki's route, Senmomo is at 70.80% edited with Chapter 5 is at 62.10% edited, and Eustia is at 98.35% in programming with Licia's chapter is finally reach past 90% mark (91.21%) in programming. Oh yes we also have Yosuga no Sora keep continuing their editing work along with them released their daily patch, and for today currently we have it is fully translated along with 63% TLC-ed and 21% edited. Lastly we have Watamari or initially it's translated as Our Marriage release, and since there's a number '1' it's quite obvious that the developer will make this as serial VN so there should be a sequel in the future. In here we have our female MC Hikari who is tasked to infiltrate a mysterious academy and determined to not stand out, only for that plan to be failed because she was chosen to bear the mark of Virgo zodiac and thus make Hikari slightly more standing out more than she wanted to. From what I see, once again it should be obvious that Our Marriage here is obviously a GL VN like the developer previous works (Ne no Kami duology and Sacrament of the Zodiac), and it seems that it'll tell the more of the setting that was established in Sacrament of the Zodiac. Also interestingly this time the developer decided to make this as all age VN, although they may made 18+ patch later. Go get Our Marriage 1 if you want some GL VN and don't mind it as the first part of serial VN, and have fun. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.1 point -
Sweets Labyrinth Meister Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Visual Novel Translation Status (04/09/2022) Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for the title since we have edited MTL patch for Amayui Labyrinth Meister (Or I'll call it as Amayui 2 from now on) I changed the word 'Amayui' into 'Sweets' because Amayui itself can be literally translated as 'sweets' based on the word 'ama' alone so we have 'Sweets Labyrinth Meister' as the title, even though the actually the kanji 'ama' in there is actually meant heaven. As for this week, once again it's quite complicated because of two translated edited MTL translation patch which may as well not treated as such if the translator not said it directly. Aside from those two MTL patch, once again there're several updates from fan translation with the most notable one is Ginharu just finished the translation work. All in all, if not for the fact that those two newly released patch are MTL this week here could be an exciting one, although as it stands it's now just an above average one. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week as well. Unlike first Amayui in which I did help worked on, this time I'm not involved with it. As for Amayui 2, while gameplay wise it's certainly far more accessible to the newbie seeing that Eushully add several new features that made the battle easier (Although they also nerf some of the other features), story wise compared to the prequel Amayui 2 here is more focused on Avaro's quest on another country with him investigating the anomaly in the dungeons. Anyway go get the patch in the website here if you want to play Amayui 2 and also if you didn't mind for the fact that Depravity used the MTL to help with the translation work, and have fun. Oh yes actually I'm quite late to report this, because Amayui 2 patch here was released back on August 8th. Another edited MTL patch that was released is Re:Lief translation patch, and this one is already released from way back in May so it took people three months to just notice it. Looking from the art alone, I can say that Re:Lief here got some nice art along with the good opening song, although as for the story from what I can see it's quite divisive seeing that Erogamescape has better reception on this compared to VNDB. For the premise, it's about our MC Tsukasa who is attend an unique school in an isolated island with said school is intended as the one that used for government program to allow the troubled adult do back to school for a year before going back to society. Since most likely that Nekonyan will not localize this despite that Hikari Field is the one who release this on Steam, you can get the patch on here if you want to play Re:Lief in English and not mind of the edited MTL. We have the KS for Venus Blood Gaia successful with the gathered fund was at 36,095,714 yen or more than 2.7 times of the initial goal, and I'll look forward to their planned release on June 2023 later. Shiravune will release Himeyoku on 9th later, and let's just say that I hope that Shiravune next announcements can be more interesting. From JAST we have the translator was already finished with Gore Screaming Show translation work, and let's see if JAST will release it on this year after they put double and triple effort on editing and QC. Sekai also announced that they'll release Hamidashi Chinese version on 30th later, and even though I criticized Sekai several times for releasing Chinese version instead of English version first, at least this times we can see that it's impossible to have English release first (If anything else, they manage to get the Steam store page for Hamidashi opened which to say is quite nice considering the random ban that Chaos Head Noah got). For fan translation, we have ChuSingura was at 10.82% translated, Manakashi was at halfway translated, White Album 2 Mini After Story had the last after story was at 82% translated, Imaimo was fully QC-ed, Chronos was at 35% edited, Shin Koihime Musou was at 59% edited, Chicchakunai Mon was at 19.53% edited, and Chaos Head Noah was at 91.32% TLC-ed along with 80.07% edited. We also have update on Bishoujo Mangekyou 2.5 which is quite surprising because the last update on it was several years ago, and said update is the work on it will start shortly with the original translator, Arcadeotic, will do the TLC of it while leaving the translation work to the other group. That said though, Arcadeotic here is still worked on Bishoujo Mangekyou translation in which it's Bishoujo Mangekyou 4 that has trap MC and the one that I'm interested with, and we already have some progress on it with the current progress was 2 out of 56 script files of it were translated. We have several updates from Daybreak Translation, with one of those is that turned out they're the group who working on Bishoujo Mangekyou 2.5 translation, and the translator himself already made the estimate release time in that it'll be on early 2023 later. There's also some slight update on Akagoei FD with the translator restarted his work on Moe's route, although very slowly on that. Lastly, we have all of Ginharu was translated which obviously also mean all 37 script files of Yuzuki's route and 10 of her sex scenes were translated, although obviously it didn't mean that we can have Yuzuki's patch being released immediately, because there's still some works left including editing with the editing work for Mizuha's route has not finished yet. So to summarize it, with some works left before the release, perhaps it would be the best to not expect Yuzuki's patch released in this year, especially with the plan to release Mizuha's and Yuzuki's patch separately. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week. Edit (09/09) - Seeing that VNTS is back, I decided to add the link to it from now on even though it'll be late so I'll add the link whenever VNTS page is posted. Also seeing the date is use the format DD/MM/YYYY, I changed it to reflect as such. For the info the old VNTS using MM/DD/YYYY, which turned out to be only used by USA alone while most of the countries use DD/MM/YYYY format.1 point -
Afterschool Alien Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Once again since we have another rough patch for Houkago Cinderella and 'Houkago' itself is literally mean 'Afterschool', I decided to make another VA parody with Ayumu of Imaimo VA in that it's Chihara Minori with her most well known role is the alien from Haruhi franchise (Nagato Yuki), so we have 'Afterschool Alien' for this week VNTS Review title. Anyway as for this week while we have several releases from official company and fan translation, what I can say is that I'm not particularly find those releases interesting. That said, at least we have several nice updates from fan translation in regard of two partial patch release update (One of those is the aforementioned Houkago Cinderella), so at least this week is more interesting compared to the last week although overall is just an average one. Anyway let's see what I can write in regard of this week as well. We have a new release from Kagura Games with the title 'How to Built a Magnificent Kingdom' that has the premise where the princess from a fallen kingdom tried her best to rebuild her kingdom, although obviously the road to do that will be not easy. In there the player will be act as the apprentice knight who tasked to help the princess to build the kingdom's military with the player will be take care of the army who will fight in case the kingdom want to defend or attacking another nation. It also has brothel management game in which it may remind people of Dohna Dohna, although with the strategy gameplay aspect it's more or less like Madou Koukaku which in turn was probably inspired by Civilization franchise. Go get the game on Steam, and have fun. Shiravune did release Tamakagura back on 26th, and no much to say other than have fun if you want to play another game that featured shrine maiden fight several monsters and will be raped if said shrine maiden is lose. Speaking of being raped by monsters, we also have JAST just released Inyochu today (For the reminder Inyochu is about several female demon hunters who face the risk to be raped by monsters if they lose), and I have no much to say other than it's good to see that JAST did manage to release one of their 2022 AX announcement at the same year they announced it so hopefully they'll manage to do the same with the rest of their AX announcements. We also have Cherry Kiss announced another isekai nukige with the title Harem King: Peasant to Princess Gotta Breed 'Em All! is definitely parodied Pokemon's catchphrase, and in case you're interested with it you can wait until September 9th later in which it'll be released on that date. Looks like Sekai may not be able to release Our Marriage 1 on August as the developer predicted, so obviously it mean that there'll be no longer possibility of August release. At least Sekai here manage to launch the Steam store of it along with them released the trial of it, so you can try the trial here in case you looking forward to the GL VN release later. Nekonyan did release Makeover FD back on August 26th, and no much to say other than go get it if you want to see the after stories of your favorite heroines at Makeover. If anything else, at least I can see that Smee still retain their usual comedy writing, especially when we see on how some of the after stories scenario on VNDB are not what we can say a very serious one. We have a group did translate Bakemonogatari game for PSP, and no much to say expect at least you can try it if you're a big fan of Bakemonogatari anime (You can easily use PSP emulator to make up the lack of PC version of it). We also have Hoka no Otoko After Story translation patch release, in which said VN is the after story of the NTR VN that was released back on May. The premise is still the same in which the wife want a child, except this time she want to have another child and thus the husband (The MC) decided to use the successful method by asking his little brother to once again impregnate his own wife because the MC himself is more or less sterile. For the rest of the updates from fan translation, we have Chronos was at 30% edited, White Album 2 Mini After Story had the last after story was at 69% translated, Senmomo was at 69.89% edited with Chapter 5 was past halfway (54.31%) edited, ChuSingura was at 10.27% translated, and 35 out of 37 script files for Yuzuki's route of Ginharu were translated. As for Houkago Cinderella rough patch release, this time the patch itself did translate Tsukushi's route so with this patch now we have 3 out of 5 routes in Houkago Cinderella were (Roughly) edited. For the next plan, the translator will translate either Maria's or Yukiko's route, although looking from the progress the translator could be decided to work on Yukiko's route first with her route currently was at 6.22% translated. We also have Imaimo translator announced that the full translation patch of it will be released on September 9th later, and seeing that he only need to do the remaining QC work for the whole Ayumu's route we may see it happen. Last but not the least, we also have the partial patch release for Walkure Romanze with said patch is translated Lisa's route along with common and Celia's routes, so you can get it if you just want to play it for Lisa. There's also some translation update on it, with the translator already worked on Mio's route with said route is currently at approximately 35% translated along with said that it'll be the next route to be translated. There's also some progress on Noel's route as well, with said progress was roughly at a quarter translated along with 23% TL checked. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.1 point
