  1. Hi, welcome to the forums! You'll definitely be able to make a lot of friends here I think someone else has already mentioned it, but there's a lot of threads on learning Japanese over in General Discussion, so you'll be able to get help & motivation from other learners
  2. Thanks so much Ryoji, Daeyamati, Tay, and everyone else!!! I really appreciate your kindness Hmm I hadn't thought about that, but I don't really have any cash to spare right now ^^; But my bf has lent me his Android tablet, so I'm learning to use that! Just bought vnds today~ Thanks for the ideas! I really do need to set up some kind of storage for my non-work files, game data, etc. Re the backup thing.. yeah, I really should have been keeping backups >__< I used to back up to an external harddrive, but that broke a while back (yeah, I'm sensing a theme here...) and I hadn't got around to replacing it yet. Kicking myself for that now! My computer itself is only about 6 months old so it was still under warranty.. much easier to send it in for free repairs than replace the hd myself! (I think I could do it but never actually tried it) Obviously it takes muuuuuch longer but... FREE! I really should start learning to build my own, shouldn't I?! My dad was an IT teacher so he used to build mine for me.. now I've moved out I've realized that I just relied on him for everything & don't actually know how to do anything myself!
  3. Hi, welcome to the forums! I followed you on twitter~
  4. Yay, another yaoi fan! I didn't know there was a trap in Cross Days! I love School Days (watched the anime & have the HD game although not played it yet), and was wondering if I should give Cross Days a try but somehow it didn't really catch my interest (no gore..). But maybe I should give it a try! I usually just go for straight-up yaoi if I want to play a m/m game though, can't think of anything I've played with a trap.. so thanks for the recs. I've played Enzai too, and Zettai Fukujuu Meirei.. definitely some desensitizing stuff there haha. I could have done with less of the brutality, but I loooove the artwork *_* I'm currently playing Miracle No-ton which has the same illustrator. I really recommend it~

  6. Hi & welcome to the forums! I hadn't actually heard of Memo, but if you rank it up with Katawa Shoujo then I definitely want to give it a try.

    Hey!

Hi, welcome to the forums! There's so many people here whose first language isn't English.. I feel like we should do some sort of survey to find out the percentage! I also like sad stories.. have you played anything by Key (Air, Kanon, etc)?
  10. Hi & welcome to the forums~ There's a ton of Japanese learning threads over in General Discussion, some of those might help motivate you
  11. Hey everyone! Not sure if anyone noticed, but I haven't been around for a while, and the reason is.. my computer died Seems like the harddrive is completely dead, so it's in for repair, and will apparently take at least A MONTH before it's done. Most of my work files etc are stored on the cloud, but I've lost a TON of save game data, and actual games that I'd dled. Gahhhhhh!! Also I now have to share my boyfriend's computer.. he's also a gamer, so we're kind of fighting over it most of the time XD Anyway, just thought I'd let you know what's going on.. and I hope I can get some comfort from you guys XDD
  12. Hi & welcome to the forums! I'm sure you will get along with pretty much everyone here

  19. In total I've only been here just over 1 1/2 years. I just graduated last year and moved over in October, but before that I spent a year here at university. I also spent 3 months in Osaka Anyway, I'm planning on living here for at least the next 2 years (I don't like to think too far into the future!) How long have you been in Japan?
