littleshogun got a reaction from masster_auron for a blog entry, Girls' Tale Review - Top 10 Best Rated VNs Translated in 2020
Quite a crazy year that we have in regard of 2020, especially with pandemic and all here. Anyway just like previous best rated VNs list I'll list what's translated VNs that we have in 2020 here, and the rules are still the same in that I won't list BL, fandisc (So no Aokana EXTRA1 and Miagete FD), partial translated VNs, censored VNs (None at this year thankfully) and otome VNs. Let's see what kind of VNs that I'll list below, and I'll tell the meaning of the title at PS below. Also I'm sorry if some of your favorite VNs here didn't available in my list, and I know that each of you may think differently on what's the best translated VNs that we have at 2020. For the scoring, it would be based on VNDB average score at May 20th, 2025, and as always both of the score and the rating can be change in the future.
    10. Riddle Joker (VNDB 7.59)
Back at January last year, Nekonyan did announce this along with (Redundant) Dracu Riot, which to say sort of ironic seeing that mod Clephas did say that Riddle Joker here is very similar to Dracu Riot. As for what I can say in regard of that, at least I can say that I recommend anyone else to read Riddle Joker first if you still waiting for Nekonyan to release Dracu Riot. Also both works did have it's own pro and con, so to each of their own in regard on which VN is better. The premise goes like we have Satoru who've been hide the secret that he's a secret agent and then he got the mission to infiltrate the school that educate the students with super power. Along the mission, he met the student council president Ayase who find out Satoru's secret and turned out Ayase also has a big secret, and her secret is she wore the pad to cover the fact that her breast is quite small. As both of them known each other secret, they started to get closer with each other and naturally there'll be romance between them (Of course Satoru can ended up with other girls beside Ayase). Lastly I can say that it's nice that we can see two translated Yuzusoft VNs in a year, and thus now we have five translated Yuzusoft VNs.
    9. Senren Banka (VNDB 7.70)
At July 2017 in AX Sekai did announce this along with several other announcements, and of course back then I really hoping that Sekai will deliver it. Only to find out that Sekai didn't do anything on Senren Banka for around 17 months until when Nekonyan did announce this, and from there we've started to see some progress on Senren Banka. Time passed, and back at Valentine Nekonyan did release this after they did release the trial beforehand. As for the premise, we have our MC Masaomi visiting his grandfather village in order to helping out the ryokan. Before going to Ryokan, Masaomi did see a tourist attraction in which there's a katana was stuck in the stone and he did try to pull it. Little did he know back then that he'll broke the katana and thus it created the commotion, with the end result that Masaomi must engaged to the shrine maiden as form of responsibilities. While at first Masaomi didn't like it seeing that the village is basically out of nowhere, it didn't take too long before Masaomi took a liking to the village. By the way while the story in common route is interesting, in the end it's still a charage so don't expect some epic story in Senren Banka here.
    8. Robotics Notes (VNDB 7.70)
Science Adventure VN that is quite unfortunate in that it has been compared with Steins Gate so much that people think it's not good, and the staffs here didn't help at all by released the fandisc that has Steins Gate major characters (Daru) as the second MC which indicate that even the staffs themselves didn't have confidence that Robotics Notes can stand on it's own. As for Robotics Notes itself, we have our MC Kaito who's been childhood friend with Akiho. One day in order to avoid the disband of Robot club, Akiho decided to make a big accomplishment by building a giant robot, and of course she decided to enlist Kaito's help who at first is not quite enthusiastic. Some times after that Kaito find some files called Kimijima Report, and the report did contain a plot that involving the whole world which of course would lead into something big as per Science Adventure VN. Curious about the report, Kaito decided to investigate it while at the same time he gather more allies to help Akiho build the robot. The PC version at first didn't have mouse control support which to say is a questionable decision, but thanks to Committee of Zero who released the improvement patch now we can play this using mouse.
    7. Making Lovers (VNDB 7.77)
Another Smee VN, and it's the 2nd Smee VN that Nekonyan localized after Fureraba. Since it came from same company along with have same writer, Makeover here also has comedy writing like Fureraba and of course Makeover here is just usual moege. As for the premise, we have Kazuma who is a young adult and live alone. Obviously this time the MC here is not a high school student, but instead Kazuma here is already graduated from the college. Even so, the problem is still the same though in that he want to have a girlfriend. In Makeover here we supposed to help Kazuma to get his girlfriend, although this time instead of small talk like at Fureraba you can just chose the heroines by using the choice like usual VN and there's no much choices so you can immediately make Kazuma to have his girlfriend. As for the girlfriend candidates (ie heroines), this time we have five with the candidates are a tsundere former college friend, a high school model, a stepsister, a weather forecast presenter, and a strange neighbor. Nekonyan also plan to localize the FD of this, although as of now there's still no work on the FD because they've been quite busy with handling many other projects.
    6. Ryuusei World Actor aka Meteor World Actor (VNDB 7.81)
At first Shiravune (Formerly ShiraVN) want to release this on Steam, but for some reason Valve reject it for three time so that we can't see Steam release for it. After the repeated rejections, Shiravune decided to release it on Johren in which it's their own store (Both of Shiravune and Johren are owned by DMM). For the premise, we have our MC Ruka who work as a policeman and that he's been quite infamous within the forces. One day he got a female elf newbie named Claris, and Ruka guide Claris begrudgingly because he was forced to do that by his superior. Other thing to note is that it's first Kinugasa translated work in that it show he can write good comedy along with good setting in which the other races live together with human (One of those is the aforementioned elf), while at the same time he can't write an ending to his own story because he spent too much time on establishing the setting or to put it nicely he prefer to write open ending that some people may like it. I know currently the sequel is in development according to this tweet, but seeing that Kinugasa still wrote open ending even at Akagoei 3 I don't think that Kinugasa won't write the open ending in the sequel.
    5. Atri -My Dear Moments- (VNDB 7.82)
At 2020 Aniplex decided to enter the VN market, and they published two title at once, Adabana Itan and Atri. For Adabana Itan, it's Liar-soft VN with beautiful arts courtesy of Ooishi Ryuuko, while Atri is Frontwing VN with both Konno Asta and SCA-JI as the staffs, although SCA-JI only direct the art. By the way, Atri itself is all age in the first place, so you didn't need to worry the sex scenes removal like what Pulltop did to the writer's previous works (Konosora and Miagete). Atri's setting is the sunken world with only the little habitable area remains, although it's not the main focus of the VN. Instead, the VN will be focused on the relation of the MC, Natsuki, and the titular character Atri. In Atri, we have Natsuki who has lost both of his mother and his leg in his childhood because of the accident. One day, he dive into the ruined his late grandmother undersea laboratory in hope finding some treasure that he may be use to buy advanced cybernetic leg. However instead of treasure, what Natsuki is found on the ruin is the robot girl who called herself Atri. Feeling thankful to Natsuki, Atri decided to repay Natsuki's kindness by she doing her best to act as Natsuki's leg.
    4. Gekkou no Carnevale (VNDB 7.87)
I must say that I'm quite surprised with this, especially I did know about this three days after the release (The release day was at Christmas). Moreso if I consider that the one who release this was GHS of all people, and naturally people are skeptical about this seeing that his reputation is quite infamous thanks to his (So-called) badly translated Cross Channel. That said even with knowing his past infamy and that the translation of this is apparently not quite well done, I still say that you should read this to either read more Nitroplus VN or check if the translation is really bad as people says. As for the premise of Carnevale, we have Romeo who work as taxi driver and ironically has a bad sense of direction. However, he has a secret in that he's a former member of a mafia and he himself is a werewolf, and that the mafia where he did belong is pursuing him. Along the way, Romeo pick a living doll that didn't have past memories named Anna, and Romeo decided to live together with her. Of course seeing that Romeo did need to fend off his pursuer along with some new enemies, naturally he'll fight some people and thus Carnevale here has fighting scenes.
    3. Kimi to Kanojo to Kanojo no Koi aka YOU and ME and HER: A Love Story (VNDB 8.02)
As for Kimikoi, at first I was surprised on why Nitroplus here like to make the VN setting like a usual moege with school and all. At least until one day in which I watch a certain video, and I can say that I like that Nitroplus did go all out step outside their comfort zone by making a lighthearted moege. As for the premise, we have our MC Shinichi who has a childhood friend named Miyuki. One day he find a weird girl named Aoi who like to mutter some nonsense terms such as game, heroine, and the like. Of course Shinichi as normal people would pitying her because it mean that she's not normal so Shinichi decided to enlist Miyuki help. Over time, Shinichi, Miyuki, and Aoi become the best friends and as per moege rule both heroines are fall in love with Shinichi. I see that some people did mention that this VN did resemble Doki Doki Literature Club when they play or review Kimikoi, but I would say that they're totally wrong because there's no literature club in Kimikoi here. I also see some people did compare Miyuki with Monika, but I think they're pretty much different with the only similarities are those their name started with M and both names have six letters.
    2. Flowers -Le Volume sur Automne- (VNDB 8.35)
The third part of Flowers tetralogy (Which depict the GL story with the setting that resemble Marimite, the all-girl Catholic school) which also known as Flowers Autumn, and once again Innocent Grey decided to not made Suoh as the MC even though she started to make a move to resolve her problem from the first Flowers. Instead, we have the student council president Yuzuriha who was the side character in previous two parts as the MC of Flowers Autumn, and in here we'll see on how Yuzuriha has her own problem along with on how she'll handle it. For the story, we have Suoh was asked by Yuzuriha who was about to graduate to become student council president as the requirement for Suoh to know the truth that could help her, which is almost impossible seeing Suoh herself is painfully shy. However, Suoh knew that the truth is very important and related to her dilemma, so she took the challenge before she resolve her problem in the last part (Flowers Winter). Seeing on how JAST took two years to work on each parts, obviously JAST will release Flowers Winter at 2022 if they decided to localize it, and they should anyway if they want to complete the tetralogy seeing it conclude Suoh's story.
    1. Summer Pockets (VNDB 8.47)
The newest KEY work, and it's their big work after Rewrite. As for the VN itself, all of the twists did resemble some of previous KEY VNs twists here and thus it make Summer Pockets quite fit as first KEY VN to play, or perhaps can also be treated as nostalgia for veteran KEY player. As for the translation, at first Alka is the one who handle this, but later Visual Arts decided to localize this and they released this back at February. With Reflection Blue release, Alka decided to work on that and they also decided to reworking the original version translation seeing that they're not satisfied with the official translation. As for the premise, we have Hairi who experienced some unpleasant incident decided to go to the island where his late grandmother did reside in order to recover. From there he'll get introduced with the four girls who one way or another will have the romance with him. Forgot to say that while Summer Pockets twists like KEY past VNs, the main writer here is Niijima Yuu in which it made Summer Pockets as the second work of him that was translated after Majokoi. As for the opening, I'll use the one from the original version because it has nice 2D animation and Reflection Blue keep it anyway.
That's all for my list this year, and as for my honorable mention I'll name Sakuramori (VNDB 7.30), Ouka Sabaki (VNDB 7.55), and Kami no Rhapsody (VNDB 7.14). Overall for 2020 I can say that Nekonyan did being aggressive by releasing several interesting title at once, although I guess I can say that Mangagamer is not so bad considering the year that we have here (If anything else I'll look forward to their Musicus release later). Also this year we have Shiravune which as we know is DMM branch, I'll look forward to see what kind of feat that they'll be able to do in the future even though their VNs lineup is not as interesting as Nekonyan yet. To conclude this, I'll look forward to what both of Nekonyan and Shiravune can do later along with some potential interesting releases at 2021 later.
PS - As for the title, I combined both of the opening song title from both of Makeover (Girls' Carnival) and Summer Pocket (Alkatale), so we have 'Girls' Tale' for the title here

littleshogun got a reaction from masster_auron for a blog entry, The White Labyrinth Review
Since we have White Album 2 translation project and Amayui Labyrinth Meister interface patch released, I decided to parodied this sport documentary movie title (The White Maze) so we have 'The White Labyrinth' as this week VNTS Review title (And it would be still fitting for the movie title anyway seeing that 'labyrinth' is the synonym for 'maze'). Welcome to this week and as for this week, plain is a way to say it nicely and quite dry would be a blunt way to say it. That said, perhaps we can say that it's a breather after big release (ie Muramasa) at the last week, although it didn't mean that there's nothing to talk about here because we still have some updates from fan translation and JAST did teased about their new six licenses (If anything else, at least fan translation updates here is more than make up for this plain week). Let's see what I can write in regard of this week as well
Cherry Kiss did plan to release their license at 10th later. You should know what type of the VN that they'll release, in that it's yet another nukige and the premise is there's an arrogant elf who forcefully transferred into the real world and our MC did a good job to make the elf as his slave so much that the elf become masochist (It's in the title duh). We also have one sudden release of an old VN (Or rather old adventure game) with the name Mirrors, and by old I mean it's 31 years old VN (Released at 1990) and can only be played in modern computer through the use of emulator (It's for PC-88). The premise is we have our musician MC was haunted by terrible nightmare which is he was stalked by someone who want to kill him in the dream, so naturally we'll help the MC to solve his own problem in that it'll lead to multiple ending. Well go get Mirrors if you're in the mood to play an adventure game from 1990 (The link for patch download), and have fun.
We have quite a number of updates from fan translation, so let's round up the updates here. For the updates, we have Chaos Head Noah common route was at 99.21% translated in which it bring the overall was at 99.43% translated along with 20.31% TLC-ed, Chiccakunai Mon was at 81.3% translated along with 6.5% passed the first editing, Loverable was at 97.41% edited, Harugi was at 23% edited, and the editing work on Taimanin Kurenai was stopped in order to do some proofreading on with the current progress is that he's already done 10% of it. As promised I'll talk about Sukiuso progress in which it has significant progress in which it's been at past halfway (59%) translated along with 5% TLC-ed and 2% edited, and the team did aim to release this at mid 2022 later. Other than those updates, there's also some big updates from Axanael and Akagoei although like Sukiuso at last week I'll save those two updates for my next VNTS Review. Lastly there's some update on White Album 2 playtesting with one Closing Chapter route (Koharu) was finished playtesting, and the team might need to work until November to received the reports on playtesting results.
Lastly we have JAST sort of teased us about the six new licenses at their tweet. While in the past I'm sort of feeling complicated because their slow release pace, right now I would say that I look forward to what kind of the licenses that they have seeing that they've been improving the release pace compared to a year ago (As in their release pace can suddenly rival Mangagamer in this year) and one of those might be interesting title. Anyway I did assume that one of the license might be Flowers Hiver, although seeing that JAST did try to keep the new licenses secret and that they already sort of reveal they've been working on Flowers Hiver safe to say that the new licenses might not included Flowers Hiver. In any case, perhaps one of the license might be Tokyo Necro if one want to be hopeful seeing that JAST manage to release two big Nitroplus title in recent years (Kimikoi and Muramasa).
That's all for this week VNTS Review and sorry if it's been quite short. See you next week.

littleshogun got a reaction from masster_auron for a blog entry, Full Metal Gorilla Review
Since we have both of Muramasa and Parquet was released at this week, I decided to make this week VNTS Review title as 'Full Metal Gorilla'. As for the reason 'Full Metal' here is should be obvious in that it's Muramasa translated full title (Full Metal Daemon Muramasa), while for 'Gorilla' it's because we have Touyama Nao voicing Parquet heroine and for the info she also voiced Chitoge at Nisekoi anime in that Chitoge got the nickname 'Gorilla'. As for this week, the most obvious biggest release here would be Muramasa in which it's one of very well received VN that many did wish for it to be translated. Other than Muramasa, we also have Nekonyan released Parquet and Mangagamer did release Uchikano as well, so overall this week is quite a big one if we talk from the number of the release. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week as well.
We also have Sayooshi full English translation patch in which it's very surprising because it's from the new translator instead of the old one. The thing is though the translation was quite rough, and that the translator did delete the patch so that there's no way to get Sayooshi in English by using that patch (Although considering that it's release date was at 28th and that it took a day to be deleted safe to say that the patch was already spread through one way or another). Sayooshi itself is a denpa VN that said to have good atmosphere in that it'll featured a teacher MC who suffer some pressure when it come to become a good teacher because he find himself lusting to his female student, and from what I see apparently whether the MC can be said to be sympathetic or not is quite questionable to a degree. Anyway I can only say that you may check Sayooshi translation if you can somehow get it and curious whether the translation is really acceptable or not, although seeing that the translator decided to move on from this perhaps you should read this with caution.
Mangagamer did released Uchikano back at 26th, and as usual they announced their next release in which they'll release Namaiki at September 30th later. I can only say it should be obvious that Mangagamer next release is not Sona-Nyl, but at least it should be good VN to look forward if one want to have three siblings of dark elves have sex with the MC who is basically their illegimate brother. Back to Uchikano, the premise of is that we'll have the MC who is the office worker somehow get to live together with his (Female) childhood friend who is about to graduate from the high school, and from there both of MC and his childhood friend will have some romance along with some sex scenes (Duh). Go get Uchikano if you're in the mood of reading some VN that feature single heroine (It seems that recently there's a lot of this kind of VNs getting translated), and have fun. Oh yes there's still no info whether Mangagamer will license the rest of Uchi series or not, but seeing that Sekai manage to get Seiiki trilogy license perhaps it's only matter of time to see Mangagamer license the rest of Uchi series.
Speaking of Sekai, this week we also have them give the updates for their project, with the biggest one is that they manage to get Rewrite+ fully translated and edited which make sense seeing that they already set the Steam store for it and that they'll try to release it at Q4 2021 later (I'm not sure that they can do it, but still good luck to them in regard of that). For the rest of the updates, we have Kimagure was at three quarter in QA, Amairo Chocolata 2 was halfway translated, ReLord 3 was at 95% edited, Slobbish Dragon Princess 2 was fully edited, Yumeiro was at 12% translated, and Amatsutsumi was at a quarter in QA. Lastly we also have Sekai did update their secret project with the current progress was at 45% translated, and from how fast the translation work on this is perhaps the VN itself would be a short one (It would be nice if it's Nine Shinshou seeing that Palette did goes all out to make it all age in which I assume that they preparing to sell it on Steam).
Sayooshi controversy aside, we have several updates from fan translation as well. As for the updates, we have Moe's route of Akagoei was fully translated and therefore the next route that was currently being worked on was Tsuki's route, Loverable was at 96.87% edited, Sumino's route of Snow was fully translated and the translator will translate Ouka's route next, and Taimanin Kurenai was at 35% edited. Other than those updates, we also have ZAP released the interface patch for Amayui Labyrinth Meister back at 20th so you can understand the gameplay of it if you've been wanting to play the newest Eushully's VN there. I know that there's an update in regard of Sukiuso from Kakugo translation, but I'll save the talk of it for next VNTS Review.
We have Nekonyan did release Parquet, and as we know it's the very first Yuzusoft all age VN that they made by themselves so obviously you shouldn't worried about the censored sex scenes in case anyone wonder. For the premise we have our MC who is a blank slate that involved in an illegal experiment that uploaded a lot of memories into his brain in order to create a new being. Obviously he has a lot of confusion toward his own identity thanks to the experiment, so he decided to set himself to search his own true self. On his first step, he met two girls (The heroines) who also the victims of the experiment and from there the MC befriended two girls. While the premise sounds serious with uploading memories into brain in order to make a new being and all, in the end it's still Yuzusoft VN so of course you should enjoy the character interaction and comedy (No sex scenes for obvious reason). Go get Parquet if you want to try it or want more Yuzusoft VNs, and have fun.
As we know the biggest release at this week is Muramasa in which we finally have JAST released it back at 25th after they teased it since way back at 2012. Muramasa itself is one of very well received VNs that said to have a lot of thought provoking theme, although whether it's true or not is depend on each other (At least late Conjueror think like that). In Muramasa we have Kageaki who is work as policeman that solve the cases, and he has a goal to kill a certain person for the revenge. It should be noted that the arc word of this VN is 'This is not a hero's story' and therefore Kageaki here is more or less like Sayooshi's MC in that whether he's sympathetic or not can be quite questionable to a degree because of his actions to reach the goals can be said as quite awful to say it lightly. Oh and don't forget that there'll be a lot of death, which make sense considering that it share same writer as Hanachirasu that also has a lot of death. Get Muramasa if you're curious on whether the good score is justified or not and want to find out about that, and have fun.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.

That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.

littleshogun got a reaction from masster_auron for a blog entry, 9 -Nine- Episode 4: Izumi Noa Review
Welcome to my very belated VNTS Review, and as for the title I'll explain the title at PS later. As for this week, well there's quite a bunch of releases with the biggest one was Nine Episode 4. Other than that, there's also some updates as well with some of those are interesting to a degree. So overall I can say that it's been the biggest week that we have at this year, and let's see what I can write in regard of this week as well.
Shiravune did release Megasuki in which it gather some controversy along with some sex scenes between the childhood friend who is a member of track club and like to wear glasses. The controversy in question is that Shiravune did release this with Denuvo, which to say that was quite infamous in that it even cause the one who get it legally complained on how it slow down the game performance along with on how they need to connect to the internet all the time. Granted that it might be help to combat the piracy, although using this on short VN seems to be quite overblown and not quite worth the effort. In any case, I can only say that hopefully this is the first and the last time that Denuvo was used in translated VN release. From Fakku we have Perverse Incentives release at today in that apparently has some loli and interesting idea, although I don't exactly know on how much the contents in the VN itself though. Anyway go get the VN if you somehow interested with it, and have fun.
We also have HarmonEy release, and I only know that it's from same company as Tenkiame localization company so perhaps you may keep that in mind because apparently it has some bad translation. That said, if you want to see some slice of life between wife and husband that didn't have much drama, go get the VN and have fun. There's also a nukige from Cherry Kiss and once again it has unique localized name (My Married Cousin's Need for Seed), and apparently it has some sex between cousin because the MC was forced by his family to impregnate his cousin although the MC didn't really mind of it because he's been in love with the cousin and that he's been jealous when said cousin was married and have sex with her husband (So you'll have NTR cousin nukige). Not that it's interesting to me here, but if you interested with it then you can wait until it's released at April 2nd later.
Turned out that Laplacian did ask JAST help for their licensing, because we have their nukige was released by JAST back at 19th. The premise is that we'll going to have the husband tried to satisfy his wife who said as the most horny wife in the world with punny name (Kouguchi Rinko or if you prefer localized name Rikky Horne). Go get the nukige if you interested with it, and have fun. Speaking of Laplacian, turned out that there's a plan to localized their newest VN (And perhaps their Magnum Opus) Aojashin in which currently the translation of it is still ongoing and that there's a plan to release it in both of Englsh and Chinese language along with Steam release as well (The writer's tweet for the proof). No idea on who's the one who handle the localization here, but looking from their recent nukige release JAST seems to be quite possible although as far as I know JAST almost never release their VN on Chinese language though (Or perhaps they change their policy, although it's still too early to tell). Anyway I'll look forward in regard of Aojashin translation progress in the future.
As for this week fan translation, we have Eustia was at 84.42% TLC-ed with Licia's chapter was at 45.27% TLC-ed and side stories was at 65.73% TLC-ed, 21,131 lines from Pure x Connect was translated along with 12,835 lines of it was edited, and Hokejo was at 28.2% translated. There's also Kirikoi KS in which currently it's been at 81,262 euro funded which mean it already exceeded the requirement for Golden Time license in which it's at 75,000 euro funded. That said, in regard of Golden Time I still waiting for the announcement from Nekonyan in regard of that. We also have their 3rd secret project was already approved by Valve which mean it's almost ready for the release, although whether the project in question is a big one or not we must wait until Nekonyan reveal it later.
It's good to see that Sekai finally release Koiama 2 with English language support after they'd release it with Chinese language only. Other than Sekai did release this without English language first, what I can say is that the atmosphere and the character design itself is resemble Gochiusa, so you can get it if you want to read something like Gochiusa (With the addition sex scenes because Gochiusa here didn't have sex scenes for obvious reason) and have fun. Lastly we have Sekai released Nine Episode 4 in which it's the finale of Nine tetralogy, and of course you can get it if you've been holding back in order to play the finale of Nine here. The premise here is that our MC Kakeru finally manage to find out the one who responsible for the petrification in the town, and in order to face the culprit Kakeru did enlist Noa's help along with some other heroines. Of course other than final battle, there'll be some romance as well and in this case Kakeru will have some romance with Noa. Go get Nine Episode 4 from Sekai, and have fun. Oh yes Palette did announce that they'll release new episode at April later, although it's more or less just after stories for Nine heroines though which is more like fandisc to a degree.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and once again sorry for being late here. See you next week.
PS - Since we have Nine Episode 4 release, once again I make the VA joke for this week VNTS Review by changing 'Yuki' to 'Izumi' so we have '9 -Nine- Episode 4: Izumi Noa' here (The title for Nine Episode 4 is '9 -Nine- Episode 4: Noa Yuki). The VA joke here is from Izumi in which it's the family name of Sagiri of Eromanga-sensei (Same author as Oreimo by the way) who has same VA as Noa (Fujita Akane). For the info, there's also anime character called Izumi Noa from the old anime Patlabor, although the kanji writing for both Noa are different.

littleshogun got a reaction from alexfang452 for a blog entry, Girls' Tale Review - Top 10 Best Rated VNs Translated in 2020
Quite a crazy year that we have in regard of 2020, especially with pandemic and all here.
PS - As for the title, I combined both of the opening song title from both of Makeover (Girls' Carnival) and Summer Pocket (Alkatale), so we have 'Girls' Tale' for the title here

littleshogun got a reaction from masster_auron for a blog entry, Gochuumon wa Neko Desu ka? Review
    Visual Novel Translation Status (11/29/2020)
I'm sure that you realized that I parodied Gochiusa franchise, only that I changed Usagi' into 'Neko' because we have Nekopara 4 released few days ago and obviously Nekopara 4 here wouldn't deal with rabbit (Translation Note: Usagi mean rabbit). Speaking of Gochiusa Sol Press did manage to license the manga version of it, although looking from their recent performance I understand if the people have doubt on Sol Press. Welcome to this week VNTS Review and as for this week I can say that it's still like last week with several updates from both of Sekai and Nekonyan along with Nekonpara 4 release. Other than that, of course we still have the updates from fan translation as usual even though it's not as much like back at last week. So overall I guess I can say that this week is quite average one to a degree, and let's see what I can write for this week as well.
While I did say that Sekai did have several updates, in practice it's just the announcements of the exact release date for their three short VNs. Those three VNs are Zombie VN Volume 3, Bokukotsu FD, and Zombie VN Volume 0. For the release date, it'll be at December 15th later which to say are coincide with several other releases at that week (ie Riddle Joker and Sukehime). While granted that the releases are not either Daybreak or Nine Episode 4, I guess it's good to see that Sekai finally cleared their backlog a bit. For Nekopara 4, it's more famous because of the art by Sayori that was apparently cited as good looking, and I can say it is considering back when I played Labyrinth of Touhou I use sprites mod with her arts on Touhou characters because I find the arts are good looking (I didn't know the arts in the sprite mod that I use are her works when I did play it). As for Nekopara 4 here, the premise is that our MC decided to go to France in order to get better in cake making because his father was disapprove the MC bakery. In any case, we should know that we play Nekopara here only for the catgirls and not for the story. Go get Nekopara 4 on Steam if you want to play more Nekopara, and have fun.
As for this week fan translation, currently we have Shin Koihime Musou was at 38% edited, Yuuna's route from Harugi was at 69% (Nice number) translated, and Eustia was at 58.03% TLC-ed with Licia's route was at 32.17% TLC-ed. No much to say, so that's all for this week fan translation updates.
For Nekonyan update, we have Kirikoi started the QA (At 1% right now), Clover Days was at 60% edited, their 1st secret project was at 65% translated, and their 2nd secret project was at 27% translated. They also has one more secret project with the current progress was fully translated and edited, and while I did suggest Harem Kingdom back at Nekonyan's Discord I guess the more reasonable guess would be either Tenshin Ranman or (Hopefully not) some VN that has available translation. In any case, Nekonyan said that they'll reveal the projects at either January or February, so let's see it later. Lastly currently they've been struck with payment processor problem at their own shop so that it can't be used, although since unlike Mangagamer at least it won't stop them to release Riddle Joker because Nekonyan still has several other shops.
That's all for this week and sorry for being late here. See you next week.
PS - I know that we have Ryuusei World Actor was released by (Unsurprisingly) ShiraVN at Johren (DMM owned store) today, although I decided to save that topic for my next VNTS Review. What I can say is that at least the character arts are looking good (Same artist as Koichoco), although obviously art here won't do much to save Kinugasa's inability to end his story properly.

littleshogun got a reaction from masster_auron for a blog entry, Riddle Clover Review
    Visual Novel Translation Status (09/27/2020)
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for the title I just combined both of Riddle from Riddle Joker and Clover from Clover Day's so that we have Riddle Clover for this week VNTS Review title. The reason for the title is because this week we have Nekonyan did their monthly update, and those two did have the updates. By the way I did a bit of searching about Riddle Clover, and find out that it's one of the fabric product that was available here. As for this week, we have Frontwing release Loca Love Volume 3 with English language support and that we have a news about fault after several years of waiting. Other than those two notable news, we have several usual updates from fan translation and also the aforementioned Nekonyan monthly update. Overall I can say that this week is not too bad even though it's quite plain, and let's see what I can write for this week as well.
JAST did release Kanosen which tell us the story about a student on how naughty his girlfriend is, and said girlfriend is also his homeroom teacher. As for the teacher heroine herself while the MC said that she's kind and beautiful, I'll just say that after I saw the design I'm no longer thinking that Wagahigh heroines chest size is too big anymore or rather their chest are very flat compared to the teacher heroine lol. At least I didn't need to comment about on how her design is too old for the setting like back at Shoujo Dominance. Well go get Kanosen if you like to see the kind and beautiful teacher taking care of the MC's raging libido so that he can enjoy his school life, and have fun. Speaking about JAST, we also have them acknowledged that they still working Majikoi at their tweet (The link to the tweet), so at least it should be good enough confirmation for now to anyone else who still waiting for JAST to release it.
After several years of waiting, we finally have a news about fault side below release estimation and as for the release plan it'll be at spring 2021. While I know that if they finished it at side below would mean that they'll rush the ending, personally I prefer them to finish it now if we need to wait for a long time for each of the sequel. But if you tell me that the cause for the long wait is because a lot of factor such as engine factor and their separation from Sekai, I can only say that I hope the developer can pick up the pace for the next part release if they still want to develop more parts before the finale. As expected Frontwing did release Loca Love Volume 3 with English language support, and they also released download version at both of JAST and Fakku as well (Also not at Steam for obvious reason). The premise is that this time we have out MC getting closer to his childhood friend who actually his upperclassman only that she's shorter than the MC, and that she's working as shrine maiden. What I can say is that just expect this like previous Loca Love in that the MC will gradually getting closer to the heroine, which in this case it's the aforementioned shrine maiden childhood friend. Go get Loca Love Volume 3 if you want to read it, and have fun.
Irru did announce that Trip decided to take some time to do hiatus because of burnout, so don't expect Ginharu update for some time. I don't know when Trip will recover from the burnout so that he can continue Ginharu translation, but hopefully he'll be able to recover at some time in the future. For other updates from fan translation, we have 16,661 lines from Pure x Connect are translated, Loverable was at 91.26% edited, Harugi was at 63% translated with Branch was at 94% translated, Reflection Blue was at 43.3% edited, and Eustia was at 97.78% translated with side routes was at 85.59% translated along with the editing was once again caught up at 97.61% edited. That's all for fan translation updates at this week.
As for Nekonyan's update, finally we have them started the editing progress for Clover Days with the current progress was at 15% edited. For other updates, we finally have Aokana EXTRA 1 was approved for Steam (Which mean it shouldn't have any more trouble to be on Steam considering that Valve is pretty much quite unpredictable when it come to the censorship) and currently it's been at halfway in QA, Kirikoi was at 95% translated along with 70% translated, Riddle Joker was fully edited along with past halfway (55%) in QA, and their secret project was at halfway translated. Speaking about secret project, Nekonyan decided to add one more of it and currently it's been at a quarter translated. As for what their new project is obviously I don't know because it's dubbed as secret project (Duh), although if I may suggest something it could be either Harem Kingdom or Cafe Stella with the latter did have the 4-koma video was translated by Nekonyan (Either way I would like it if turned out the secret project was one of two VNs that I suggested).
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
PS - There's another new VN announced for the release at December 17th later, and the name of the VN is Abyss of the Sacrifice. Apparently the VN itself will depict five girls trapped in a dangerous place and they must do their best to survive, just like Zero Escape trilogy or Root Double. I'll try to comment more on that later.

littleshogun got a reaction from masster_auron for a blog entry, Melty Reflection Review
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for the title I'm simply combined 'Melty' word from Melty Moment and 'Reflection' word from Summer Pockets Reflection Blue so we have 'Melty Reflection' as this week VNTS Review title. As for this week, release wise it's not as active as the last week although the updates was still manage to make up for it though. For the updates, we have usual one from fan translation and monthly one from Nekonyan, and most importantly we manage to have Irru fulfilled his goal to release Momiji's patch at June today. In any case, let's see what I can write for this week as well here.
From Sol Press we have Irotoridori was fully translated along with the editing was almost completed at 90% edited. Looking from the progress of their other VNs, looks like it'll be next release. No much to say for now other than I'll look forward for the near future release from Sol Press if possible. From Frontwing as expected they'll release Phantom Trigger Volume 7 in English language as well, and for the release date, it'll be at July 22nd later according to the Steam page. What I know for now is that it would be the last volume for Phantom Trigger, and that it'll be longer compared to the previous volumes. If anything, at least I can accept this as the conclusion of Phantom Trigger more easily compared to Rakuen seeing that Phantom Trigger here is more or less a linear VN compared to Kajitsu (Although there's no sex scenes though).
As for Nekonyan's updates, currently we have Hello Lady was at 40% in QA and apparently it's already completed the editing progress for the fandisc part as well. While it mean that Hello Lady should be next Nekonyan's release, it's still not determined as of now because we also have two projects that was in QA as well. Those two projects are IxShe Tell with the current progress was at 85% translated and 80% edited along with 35% in QA, and Riddle Jokers in that it's been at a quarter in QA. In any case, I'll look forward to see whether Nekonyan's next release would be one of those three VNs above or not. For the rest of their updates, we have Kirikoi was at three quarter translated along with a quarter edited, Aokana EXTRA 1 was at 45% translated along with 15% edited, and 1st secret project was at 30% translated. Lastly we finally have Melty Moment start the progress after more than two years in hiatus, and currently it's at 30% translated. That's all for Nekonyan's updates at this month.
Since the new fragments for PS3 version of Matsuribayashi translation was finished, it mean that the work on Miotsukushi Ura was resuming. As for the current progress of Miotsukushi Ura, it's at 54% translated. For more updates from fan translation, we have Taimainin Yukikaze 2 was at three quarter translated, Kud Wafter all age version was past three quarter (77.38%) translated, and Eustia was at 90.37% translated with side stories was at 37.52% translated. Since we have Summer Pockets Reflection Blue released, of course Alka decided to translate it and since they already translated the original version it mean that at least they already finished a substantial part of Reflection Blue itself (Apparently more than halfway). Also this time they decided to work on this until they finished unless they got C&D from VA seeing that the official version of Summer Pockets did have some flaws (ie typo and some broken word-wrap), so let's see if they can finished Reflection Blue here.
For the last update, we finally manage to have Momiji's patch released today, and the patch did cover 62.57% of Ginharu. So if you already interested with Momiji ever since Ginharu being released and can't wait for Mizuha's patch release, go get Momiji's patch and have fun. As for the next plan while it should be obvious that they'll translate Yuzuki's route next, Irru still don't know what's Trip's plan for that yet. Irru also hope that they'll be able to go back to weekly update starting this week, so let's see if Tsurezure can do it later.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
  10. Thanks
littleshogun got a reaction from masster_auron for a blog entry, Baldr Rhythm Review - Top 10 Best Rated VNs Translated in 2019
Since it's already 2020 which mean the year was already changed, I figure that I should make my list for best rated translated VNs from back at 2019. I know that people here might not agree with my list here seeing that they have their own best VNs list there, but still it should be fine if I give my own list here. Once again the rule is still the same in that I wouldn't list otome, BL (No Hashihime here), fandisc, and partial translated VNs. Oh and censored VNs is obviously out of window, so no Noraneko duology even though those are quite well received on VNDB. Anyway let's see my list for 2019 here, and I'll tell what's the title mean at PS later. Almost forget to mention that the score based on today (May 23rd, 2025), and it's possible that both of the rank and the score will be change in the future.
    10. 9 -Nine- Kokonotsu Kokonoka Kokonoiro (VNDB 7.11)
Since this VN was from Palette, it mean that obviously Tsubasu will be responsible for the art here and as expected her drawing is quite beautiful. For the premise here, we have a lot of people manage to gain the power through the artifact from another world, and it happened after a relic in the shrine was destroyed by the earthquake. One of the people who gain the power is our MC Kakeru, and that he was asked by a mascot to gather the artifacts by asking the power user to return it. From there Kakeru did his best on his task even though it'll be hard to do, seeing that the power user might not want to return the artifact willingly. As for Nine here, I'd list Episode 1 here because it's still ongoing and the plan is that we'll going to have four Nine VNs with one VN for each heroines (The first episode heroine here is Miyako) which to say is not the most ideal release format. We also have Sekai did the good job by released two Nine episodes in a year, so good for them (They also currently working on Episode 3). Lastly if you think that the first part here is quite an average one, rest assure that each part here will get better as seen with Episode 2 later.
    9. Majo Koi Nikki aka The Witch's Love Diary (VNDB 7.21)
The first Niijima Yuu VN that was translated, which is quite an accomplishment seeing that there's several failed attempt to translate his works. For the project itself, at first it's started as fan translation by Luna Translation with the progress looks satisfying at least until AX 2018 in which Sekai did announce this. While it's surprising to me, at least it's not as shocking like back at Saku Saku announcement. After that, like other Sekai announcements there's no much talk from them until when they decided to do sudden release back at July 26th. For the premise, we have our female MC Nanno Alice find a mysterious diary. Curious she peek on the diary only to find out that apparently the diary depict the life of a man named Sakurai Takumi (Majokoi's true MC), and Alice find out that Takumi is quite a player for approaching several women and then have sex with them. Obviously being Niijima Yuu work nothing as simple as that, so in Majokoi here we'll going to unravel some mystery behind Sakurai Takumi. While the story itself are interesting in that it have some unexpected element, some reader are understandably react like Alice when they play the prologue in that they disturbed with Takumi's attitude.
    8. Kotonoha Amrilato aka The Expression Amrilato (VNDB 7.62)
This VN have a unique premise, and of course it's obviously not only just because it's a GL VN. Also it's not just because we have the MC transported to the another world as well either, even though it's still unique on it's own seeing that isekai translated VNs is still quite rare. The reason is because in Amrilato we'll be able to learn another language, and in this case it's Esperanto. Too bad that Valve didn't manage to see the educational value of this VN and only see the bath scene, so they decided to throw a tantrum by banned it for a while (Even though Amrilato here is all age). Well all of those are in the past, and at least now we can get this from Steam as well after Valve revoke the ban. The premise is we'll have our female MC Rin who somehow going to another world, and naturally she tried to communicate with the other people only to find out that it's futile because the people can only speak Esperanto. At least until she find a girl (Ruka) who can speak Japanese a bit, and from there Ruka teach Rin the Esperanto language bit by bit while at the same time both of them develop their relationship with each other.
    7. Sekai de Ichiban Dame na Koi aka The Most Forbidden Love in the World (VNDB 7.64)
So-called White Album 2 prototype, although in this case it's more like Maruto only have one main heroine (Mitoko) instead of two. That said, I can understand the reason why people draw some comparison with WA2, because Maruto did apply some of Damekoi characteristic in WA2 as well. While the English title looks suggestive, honestly I don't think it's that bad if we already see some example of big age difference romance in other media. Of course that kind of romance would be very sensitive issue in real life, and let's leave it at that. The premise is we have 28 years old MC Osamu who just fired from the company as the scapegoat and that he didn't have home to come back seeing that he's been divorced, so basically his life is very unlucky. After meeting a passerby woman who somehow help him and tell where her home is, Osamu decided to go to her home only to find out that the woman is eloped leaving her 14 years old daughter Mitoko alone who proceed to slap Osamu. After sorting out the situation, Osamu decided to help Mitoko and possibly to have so-called forbidden love with her. For more info, this VN have ladder structure route and it's been translated by the late Conjueror.
    6. Ano Harewataru Sora yori Takaku aka Farther Than the Blue Sky (VNDB 7.66)
At first I thought it's impossible for Mangagamer to localize this seeing that we have Chuable bankrupt before we have Haretaka translated here, only to turned out that I was wrong because Mangagamer announced this back at Otakon 2018. After some payment processor problem, Mangagamer manage to release this back at September. For the premise, we'll have our so-called idiot Otoya who attend a general class in a school that was famous with the rocket making. Then at one night he met with a red haired tsundere girl Arisa who want to retrieve the rocket from the sea, and Otoya do that without hesitation. After that, both of them met again at school and after Arisa tell a story on how her rocket club Byakko will be abolished because lack of member, Otoya decided to join the club despite his lack knowledge of rocket. For Haretaka here, I can say that the writer did good job compared to Suki Suki in that he manage to have all four heroines did have enough interaction with each other in the common route, which is very important seeing that Suki Suki did have out of context heroine (I'm looking at you Chiho, and I'm sort of understand why Arunaru did translate her onii-chan as dude).
    5. Nanairo Reincarnation (VNDB 7.71)
For Nanairo I can say this is quite a smooth one in regard of the release so no much to say other than than Sekai did released it (After several QCs) at the same time when Nekonyan released Aokana, so good job to Sekai here. As for Nanairo here, it have some appeal namely that you'll have the MC as university student instead of usual high schooler. For the premise our MC Makoto did got some inheritance from his grandfather in form of a house. In there Makoto find out that his grandfather have some spirutual connection, and that Makoto did have same capability like the grandfather. As if it's not enough, Makoto also found out that his cheerful childhood friend was in fact a selfish zashiki warashi who's been helping Makoto's family for generations. Then Makoto was being told that his grandfather help the police with the cases that involved supernatural as the spirit detective, and Makoto was also supposed to inherit that role. Seeing no choice, Makoto slowly learning the rope of his new role in solving some supernatural cases. Lastly, I'm content with Nanairo release here seeing that it's one of well received VN out there.
    4. Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai (VNDB 7.92)
After several years of waiting we finally manage to have a proper translated August eroge, and with this August's curse that there's no translated August eroge was finally broken. I know there's Yoake, but it didn't count because the translated one is the backport of PS2 version which mean no sex scenes with it had two additional routes in exchange. For a bit of history, the translation started at 2016 before the project going silent for about three years and finally a staff decided to leak the complete translation patch with the patch is still unedited. In here, we have Kyoutarou (The MC) who who like to read alone, at least until he met with Tsugumi who have her mission to help everyone in the academy. At first Kyoutarou thought it was a bother, but after he got a message from someone called Sheperd who somehow know what Kyoutarou doing and that Tsugumi also got the message, Kyoutarou decided to help Tsugumi in order to get down the mystery. After that, it's also revealed that some more students are received the same message. While initially Kyoutarou was confused, slowly he learn to enjoy his new daily life. Oh yes, the VN has two opening, with the second opening shown much later in the VN.
    3. Hoshi Ori Yume Mirai (VNDB 8.06)
The VN that Trip want to transla note first, although Irru convince Trip to do HatsuKoi first though because back then both of them (Tsurezure) didn't have enough knowledge to do engine work on Hoshiori. Time passed, and they started to work on Hoshiori here back at October 2018. Six months later, they manage to release the full patch of Hoshiori and currently they working on Ginharu. The premise of Hoshiori itself is our MC Ryousuke going back to his hometown after seven years living in another town, and after that Ryousuke was roped into helping Tanabata festival which is the biggest event in his hometown. From there he'll have a romance with one of six heroines. I also like to note that this VN have a have extensive after stories for each heroines which is a rarity in the VNs, and that they carry this concept to Ginharu. Other than that, I think Hoshiori here is sort of feedback for HatsuKoi's criticism seeing that tone work's try to make Ryousuke more capable compared to Yuuma and also tried to reduce the amount of drama. Granted that those change might be a little too successful for some people, but at least it make Hoshiori's reception is generally better compared to HatsuKoi.
    2. Ao no Kanata no Four Rhythm (VNDB 8.29)
In the past there's a project to translate this by Ren, and I remember that he was accidentally delete the fully translated script of Aokana. After that he basically running away by throwing a tantrum after promising an announcement. While accidental loss of data is very annoying, I think he just need to clearly say that he quit the project if he can't keep up with it. That aside we finally have Aokana thanks to Nekonyan after their successful Kickstarter, and we got an improved version at that seeing that it also have music gallery which not exist in the original version for some reason. The premise is we have a fictional sport that required to wear flying shoes (Flying Circus/FC), and our MC Masaya was a prodigy at FC before he got hit with some trauma and then quit. Time passed, and Masaya find Asuka who has great talent for FC. After that, Masaya is getting dragged back into FC as the coach. At first he's against it, but slowly he started to find the enjoyment that has been lost to him in the past. Aokana here is also serve as some sort of sprite's Swan Song, seeing that it's their last big VN before they quit although apparently they've been revived so we may have the promised sequel in the future.
    1. Baldr Sky Dive2 “Recordare” (VNDB 8.66)
One of most awaited VNs from back at 2010, and back then GIGA did C&D one of the projects that tried to translate this. Time passed, and at 2016 we have a surprise in which Sekai did license this. Of course we worried that there'll be no 18+ contents seeing that Sekai didn't say a word about it, and turned out that our worry is right because Sekai was forced by GIGA to release it censored. While at first it mean that we'll get censored Baldr Sky, fortunately a fan immediately make 18+ patch of this so we can enjoy the sex contents. The premise is we have Kou woke up in the battlefield with the beautiful lady (Rain) called him lieutenant, and Kou is confused because his memories are mostly about his school life. After a while Kou started to remember 'Gray Christmas' word in that it's a major incident, and he started to find out more about his memories. Some things to note that this is a gameplay VN with robot, and that we'll going to have virtual world setting. As for the releases, in the past GIGA released the VN in two parts while Sekai did release this in one package. I list the 2nd part here along with the opening for it, because in the original version the 2nd part here cover the whole Baldr Sky.
That's all for my list here, and by the way if I may name some honorable mention here, I would name HGB (VNDB 7.02), Lamunation (VNDB 6.88), and Bokuten (VNDB 7.14). I think overall 2019 is quite a nice year with long awaited title releases such as Baldr Sky, Aokana, and Damekoi so overall I'm content with it. Another things to note is that Sekai recently like to release their title at the same time when one of their competitor released their own title, so perhaps it might be worth to expect some Sekai release whenever some other companies release their VN (Well at least it's nice seeing them being active here). In the end, I hope that we'll have more VNs releases at 2020 later especially from Nekonyan here.
PS - For the title here, I'm simply combined 'Baldr' word from Baldr Sky and 'Rhythm' from Aokana so we have 'Baldr Rhythm' for the title here.

littleshogun got a reaction from masster_auron for a blog entry, The Whimsical Sky Review
For this week title I'd just literally translate 'Kimagure' from Kimagure Temptation and 'Sora' from Yosuga no Sora into 'Whimsical' and 'Sky' respectively then combined both words, so we have 'The Whimsical Sky' as this week VNTS Review title. I did a bit more searching and find out that there's a picture called Whimsical Sky, and of course I wouldn't write my opinion on the picture here. Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for this week I would say that this week is quite calm after a big release (Sakuramori) and several announcements so more or less technically it's an average one. That said, I still like this week though if only because we finally have Yosuga no Sora fully translated after nine years of works along with the first update in Ginharu after three weeks of absences, so overall its not too bad to me here. Anyway let's see what I can write for this week VNTS Review here.
This week we have JAST released this nukige in which apparently it's a sequel of a doujin VN, and apparently based on Monster Girl Encyclopedia. While I must admit that it's not too bad here, in the end it's still smaller release from JAST so hopefully they'll be able to up their game to finally released Kimikoi on time (Shouldn't be affected by pandemic as long as they chose to release it in digital version only I think). We also have good news from Frontwing, in that they'll release Yukikoi at 29th later. I wonder if they'll reveal their next project to us later on, in which the next project could be Hatsumira if we look at several info seeing that they said that they've been planned to localized it.
From Sekai we finally have Nine Episode 3 release, in which it's at 5% translated. While it's pretty much inevitable that Sekai will get Nine Episode 4 here, I still hoping that Sekai will manage to get it and if possible repeat their achievement to release two episodes in a year like back at 2019 (If only for Tsubasu's art here). By the way Nine Episode 4 was scheduled to be released at 24th later, and hopefully it's the last episode for Nine VN here. For more updates, we have Nekogami back into QA in which it probably mean that Sekai was about to make sure that it's free of bug, and Amairo Chocolata was at 65% translated. In any case, I'll look forward to whatever Sekai will announce in their 'AX from home' here if they want it seeing that usually their bigger announcement was usually happened at AX.
As for Mangagamer's update, we have Escalayer finalizing the release build and Rance 01 was finished the testing (Both of those are coincidentally from Alicesoft). They also have one more secret project, in which currently was fully translated and edited along with finishing the image editing for the project. As for the first secret project, currently it was at 70% translated along with 68% edited. From the updates, at least I can estimate that the next release from them here would be Escalayer. While for the second secret project, for now I can only guess that it would be a short VN although of course I might be wrong here.
We have Angel Beats was passed 90% mark (93.60%) translated and Miotsukushi Ura was at 24% translated. For more updates, we have both of Yosuga no Sora Motoka's route along with Ginharu Momiji's route were fully translated. The former is more important, because Yosuga no Sora here is a nine years old project and Motoka's route here is the last route to be translated. While normally we should celebrate this occasion because we also have full translation patch available, the patch itself is still not completed just like Rhapsody because the team said that it's still need some editing and QC for the translation to be completed, so I'll just consider it as partial release. Still if you want to play Yosuga no Sora VN after nine years of waiting, feel free to try the patch and have fun. For Ginharu here, we finally have an update after three weeks of absences and with Momiji's route fully translated we have overall Ginharu was at 62.57% translated. While Irru did say that we better not expect the patch in another month, I'm still hoping that we'll get it in June's end at the fastest though so let's just wait and see here.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.

littleshogun got a reaction from masster_auron for a blog entry, Sakura Farm Review
Of course I didn't review another Sakura VN that was created by Winged Cloud, and the reason for the title is because we have Sakuramori finished the testing along with the nukige release from Cherry Kiss Games with the English name 'Elf Breeding Farm', so we have 'Sakura Farm' as this week VNTS Review. Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for this week it's less lively after two big releases at the last two weeks (Summer Pockets and Senren Banka) with this week release is the aforementioned nukige. That said, at least this week update is quite nice to see because it have two interesting updates to me here (Makeover release and Sakuramori finished the testing) although in the end this week is quite a plain one here. Let's see what I can write for this week as well here, and sorry if this week review would be a short one here.
From JAST back at 25th we have Togainu no Chi release which to say is a redundant one, but if you want a hardcopy version of Togainu no Chi then feel free to get it there. And speaking of the release, there's also the aforementioned Elf Breeding Farm that was released by Cherry Kiss which to say not within my interest there, but if you like it then go get it and have fun. Speaking about nukige, there's Yamizome in which it's already halfway translated. While Yamizome here is not nukige, I understand that people would likely thought it as one, and beside I think it would be nice if JAST can show good progress on that later in the future. Lastly we have JAST have their Flowers Autumn ready to preorder, which honestly not mean that the release date is almost close especially if we look at Majikoi (Granted it's because of voice license problem and the release is a redundant anyway, but still enough for an example of preorder is not always mean ready for the release). In any case, let's try to conclude this in a hopeful matter that hopefully JAST will be able to release Flowers Autumn in a near future or perhaps at this year.
From fan translation we have Tsurezure take a break at this week, Miotsukushi Omote was at 86% edited, Angel Beats was at 31.50% translated, 9,814 lines of Pure x Connect are translated along with 5,287 lines edited, and we have Eustia at 88.24% translated with Side Routes was at 23.7% translated along with 85.95% edited. Lastly we also know that Yosuga no Sora did a lot of QC work, and currently they keep working on it as of now with the current progress that they already finished the TLC for both of common and Kazuha's route and apparently they about to put more focus on Motoka's route TLC which as of now still not fully translated. Let's see if we can see the end of this eight years old project in the near future (Good luck to the team), and that's all for fan translation here.
Currently we have Aokana planned release for PS4 and Switch at this summer by PQube, which should be good if you somehow have PS4/Switch and yet didn't own a PC/laptop. If anything at least it would reach wider audience in which it's what Pulltop attempt to do it in a sloppy way with MoeNovel, and more importantly it mean that Nekonyan manage to fulfill yet another of their Kickstarter promise. Although instead of that, I'm more interested to know that their next release plan is Makeover and they stated that it should be happen in not too far away (There's still no exact release date for that, but they'll announce it when they ready). From Mangagamer, we have Sona-Nyl was at 85% edited, both of Macchiato and Rance 01 was started the testing, 02 was at 90% edited, and last but not the least we have Sakuramori finished the testing. Seeing that it's the only update that have been finished the testing, perhaps we may have this as Mangagamer's April release although I may expect too much here though. In any case I'll look forward to it's release.
That's all for this week VNTS Review and sorry for being late here. See you next week.

littleshogun got a reaction from masster_auron for a blog entry, Twilight Days Review
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as we know our highlight for this week should be Nekonyan's announcements. Other than that, we also have some updates from fan translation, Mangagamer, and Sekai which is good enough to me seeing that we also have one particular big announcement from fan translation. Lastly before I'm continuing the review let me said that at first I think that this week would be a plain one, but thanks to Nekonyan it turn to become an interesting one. Let's see what I can write for this week as well here, and I'll tell the meaning of this week review title at PS later.
From fan translation, there's no update from Tsurezure again so I'll just directly assume that either they took some rest or really busy with real life matter (If anything I'll just think that they'll release Mizuha's patch in 2021 at the earliest, but of course if they want to prove me that they can release it at this year then so be it). For the other updates, we have Shin Koihume Musou was at one third (33%) edited, Loverable was at 78.82% edited, and Miotsukushi Omote was at 5% edited. For the biggest update in fan translation, we have Summer Pocket was at 94.37% translated with Alka's route was fully translated. As for their plan to release Alka's patch (ie at 17th later), I admit that it's very interesting so let's see if they can fulfill it later (And obviously it mean that they manage to release it first before the official release). As for why I call it Alka's patch, the reason is because most of the lines for the true routes was in Alka's route, and for more information the last route for Summer Pocket is Pocket's route itself (Summer Pocket true route here did consist of Alka and Pocket routes). That's all for fan translation section at this week.
We also have Irotoridori was at 20% edited, and that's all for Sol Press update here. From Sekai currently we have Daybreak was in image editing and more importantly waiting for the review (Which understandably took a long time seeing that it's Valve and all), Hoshimemo retranslation was in QA (Still redundant to me anyway), and Eternal Heart was at 40% translated. The most important update from Sekai is that they lost their Dracu Riot license because it's been revealed that Nekonyan took the license as their first secret project, and currently it's already finished the translation progress (Yes including editing) so we may have near future release. I think I didn't need to introduce it seeing that most people should already know about it, but to me it's still a redundant announcement here (I know that some people did prefer to wait for the edited version, so good for them). With this Sekai was already lost two Yuzusoft VNs license, and I think it's only a matter of time before Nekonyan take over Tenshin Ranman license as well.
As we know we have Nekonyan did revealed all of their five secret projects, and one of those projects are Dracu Riot that I talk above. For the rest of the announcements, let me talk about it started from my least interesting announcements to me (Beside Dracu Riot obviously). But before that let me list some of their updates here, in which they already have both of Hello Lady and Makover was fully translated, Aokana Extra 1 translation will start in a few months, and Senren Banka already ready for the release as Nekonyan's Valentine prize (At 14th later). What I can say is that I hope that Nekonyan can release both of Hello Lady and Makeover (Or either one is fine) in this year, and good luck to Nekonyan in regard of that.
The first title that I would talk here is IxShe Tell aka their fifth secret project, because from several reviews that I search I did find that apparently it got the least favorable opinion such as it's only a generic moege or something like that. That said, my opinion may change though so I'll keep my eyes on this. The premise is very simple in that it have our MC as the student council president who manage to abolished the rule that banned student to fall in love, and currently he need to deal with five cute girls chase after him. For more info, Nekonyan did offer this as their replacement for Melty Moment which make sense seeing that it's been from the same developer (Hooksoft), and currently it's been at 45% for both of translation and editing progress.
Turned out that their second secret project is Riddle Joker (Pretty much already expected, especially if we look at SD CG from Riddle Joker that Nekonyan post at one of their past tweet), in which it's the most recent Yuzusoft VN before Cafe Stella. The premise is we have the MC who is a secret agent who infiltrate the school that nurture the student with special talent, and that his secret was revealed by student council president who hide the secret that her breast is very small and thus she wear pads. While more Yuzusoft VN is always good and looks like their current relationship with Nekonyan is quite good, I think I'm probably neutral with this for now. Anyway with Nekonyan took over both of Senren Banka and Dracu Riot from Sekai along with this and Sanoba, currently we have them hold four Yuzusoft VNs so I'm kind of wonder if they somehow could hold Amairo license in the future later. For the reminder, the progress at Riddle Joker was at 65% translated along with halfway edited.
Their third secret project is quite surprising, because turned out that the name of the project is Kin'iro Loveriche aka Kirikoi which as we know it's Saga Planet VN. While currently Saga Planet here is the cursed company that still have none of their VNs are translated, looks like the one who break that curse is Nekonyan. I don't know though if Kirikoi license here could be followed by other Saga Planet license, but let's hope that it'll be especially with some of their well known VNs such as Hatsuyuki Sakura and Hanasaki Love Spring. For the premise, well I think Evangile's premise should be similar enough except the MC caught attention from an European princess and that he got beaten up by the guard before being placed in the high class school. For additional note here, almost all of the heroines are blonde (Because of the 'kin'iro' title, and 'kin'iro' mean golden (Just like Kin'iro Mosaic in that the female MC have an interest to blonde hair)) and currently it's been at 40% translated along with 12% edited.
For the 4th secret project, currently it's the most interesting one to me. It's also been fully translated for a while, so perhaps we may have this being released in the near future. The project is Clover Days, which as we know it's one of the project that was in torpor because it became too much for Astro to handle. Out of all five announcements, safe to say that Clover Days here did gather some favorable opinion so I'll be looking forward to the eventual release here. The premise is going like we have a MC who is an adopted son that was taken from London to live in Japan, and that he had two very cute twin sister. Also the MC himself was already established his friendship with several other characters, who somehow are the twins (Apparently Clover Days here really put emphasis on twin sibling). Since we already have Ittaku fully translated this, all that left is the editing progress so good luck to Nekonyan for that.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and happy very belated Chinese New Year. See you next week.
PS - For this week title, I use 'Twilight' from Dracu Riot and 'Days' from Clover Days. 'Days' part here is obvious enough, while for 'Twilight' it's because in Dracu Riot we have vampire and the closest vampire story that have romance would be Twilight, so yeah once again I parodied Twilight here.
PPS - Forgot to write Mangagamer's updates here, but overall it's been overshadowed by Nekonyan's announcements. For their update, we have both of Macchiato and Matsuribayashi about to be in testing, Rance 01 was fully edited, the image editing for 02 was finished, and Sona-Nyl was at 80% edited. That's all for my belated Mangagamer's updates roundup here.

littleshogun got a reaction from masster_auron for a blog entry, Sakura Literature Club Review
Welcome to VNTS Review, and as for this week I can say that it's more lively compared to the last week. The reasons is simply because we have man announcements and one of those announcement is Baldr Sky Steam store that was finally opened, although right now I'm quite anxious in that there's high chance that they'll censor it. Other than Baldr Sky Steam store, we have Seven Days release date announcements as well in which it's sort of Conjueror's Swan Song because it's his last translation job besides Rewrite+ before he doing the action that ended his life. We also have Mangagamer and fan translation updates as well, and JAST also join the updates here with them announced Kimikoi release month at February later. Let's see what I can write for this week here, and I'll explain the title at PS later (Of course it's not because Winged Cloud released yet another their Sakura VN, although I appreciate them though in that their recent VNs MC are always female instead of faceless male).
For Baldr Sky Steam store, let's just say that I have mixed feeling on that. The reason is definitely not because Sekai still set the release date as soon (I understand if they need more time to polish the engine), but rather it's because apparently it'll be censored according to the rumor. While I can just dismiss the rumor as nonsense, I start to see that there's some indication that the release will be lack of sex scenes. The silent response from Sekai there didn't really help at all, and in fact it make it worse. In the end, if the censorship must be happen, then I'll obviously blame GIGA because it mean that they're the same as Pulltop and that Sekai releases always have 18+ patch add on. So for now I just hope that whatever GIGA planned in regard of the replacement for the sex scenes should be worth the trouble if the censorship is inevitably happened, and if it's very important to them. At least I can say that the font is far better compared to what we see at Baldr Force which show a hard work from Sekai's programmer, seeing that the engine is supposed to be very hard to crack.
I'm not surprised to see that JAST delsy both of Katahane and Flowers Autumn releases seeing that the autumn is already over and that there's no word about those two, but instead I'm very surprised with JAST suddenly announced that their Kimikoi are already ready for the release at February later. For more info, they also already have the pre-order for that. So if you want to see on why Kimikoi here is occasionally alluded as well known Doki Doki Literature Club predecessor and want to see 'passionate Hitomi Nabatame-voiced love-making' scenes (And moreso if Baldr Sky is really censored later on), you can do the preorder at JAST's site. For now I'll just hope that JAST didn't delay Kimikoi release at February later.
From Mangagamer, we have some updates from them at their usual biweekly updates. The updates are Sukehime was fully edited, Rance 02 was halfway edited, Sona-Nyl was at 55% edited, WanNyan image editing was completed, and Sakuramori was about to enter the testing soon. Out of those announcements, I'm interested with Sakuramori the most so I hope that the testing for it would be going well.
We have Ninetails released the new demo for Frontier, so perhaps you may try the new demo before decided whether you'll get Frontier that'll be released at 20th later or not. Speaking about the upcoming releases, we have a rerelease of a nukige by Cherry Kiss at this month (I'll just say that it's a redundant one because it's already fantranslated), and Seven Days at two days later (13th) in which it's been famous as the VN that was created from the crowdfund. I have not much to say other than I hope the releases will be successful.
For the fan translation, currently we finally have Loverable was past three quarters (75.22%) edited and Miotsukushi Omote waa at 68% translated. We also have new project with the current progress was at almost halfway (49.7%) translated, and the VN in question is Chiccakunai Mon in which apparently it's a loli nukige so you may need to be very open minded if you want to play this later (I'll pass this anyway). Lastly we have a surprise new Amayui rough patch release that apparently translated 63% of the narration and that it's still not TLC-ed, which is fine enough to me seeing that I already survive Soukoku no Arterial 'translation'. While it sounds good enough, unfortunately I can't check in regard on how much the narration that was translated so let's just say that I'll pass on Amayui's partial patch here until there's a 100% translated narration patch in the future (Whether it's fully TLC-ed or not).
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and sorry for being late here. See you next week.
PS - For the title, the 'Sakura' part here is obviously from Sakuramori. As for the 'Literature Club' here, it's in regard of Kimikoi release month announcement which as we know it have similar twist like a certain very well known free OELVN (Doki Doki Literature Club).

littleshogun got a reaction from masster_auron for a blog entry, Asahi Little Sister Review
Don't worry if you're Shokugeki no Souma fans because I wouldn't talk on how messy the final arc of that manga is, but instead I'll talk about this week VNTS Review. Also Asahi here is not refer to that character in Shokugeki no Souma, but instead it's the name of one of the little sister heroine back at Onikiss that was released two weeks ago. So for this week VNTS Review I parodied the old VN Kana Imouto by using the literal translation of the title (Kana Little Sister), and of course I changed 'Kana' into 'Asahi' (If you want to play Asahi Little Sister VN then play Onikiss and enter Asahi's route there). Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and like last two consecutive previous weeks this week we also have several releases although to me it's not that interesting though. Other than releases, we also have some updates as usual and more importantly we have Tsurezure resumed their update on Ginharu. Let's see what I can write for this week as well.
First of all JAST announced that their Majikoi released was delayed, which honestly is very predictable seeing that it's already past summer and yet there's still no sign for the release. And not to mention that they still need to deal with removal of some voices, so perhaps they did need more time to prepare it (Well Majikoi is a redundant one anyway). Speaking about predictable update, we have Sekai hold Rewrite+ translation for a very obvious reason in that the translator (Conjueror) was passed away and therefore they need to search for the new translator. For other update from Sekai we have Baldr Sky waiting the build from Valve (Can we get the words from Sekai about 18+ contents later?), Nekonin 3 new build was in review by Valve, Bokukotsu FD was fully translated and currently in editing, and finally we have release date for Kemomusu in which it'll at 11th later.
From fan translation section, we have another release in which it's another work from Zakamutt. The work in question is Tatakareta Hae or in English it's translated as Like a swatted fly, and the premise is apparently about a politician that have a lot of prejudice towards LGBT who will rape the nurse because he think that the nurse is lesbian (The genre is nukige by the way). What I can say is that I wouldn't play this VN, but if you like to play a nukige and didn't mind about politician colorful rambling towards LGBT then go ahead and try it. For Tsurezure's update after a week of absence, currently we have Ginharu's overall was at 42.34% translated with Hinata's route was at 89.74% translated. For the rest of the update, we have Amagami was at 86.2% edited (Quite a lot of progress there), Miotsukushi Omote was at 29% translated, and Eustia was at 78.09% translated (Eustia's chapter was past halfway (52.90%) translated) along with 59.69% edited and 52.90% TLC-ed.
Mangagamer did announce that they'll re-release ef at Steam later (At 17th), which to say was redundant to me here. While granted that it mean that Steam user can finally purchase it more cheaply seeing that the older ef was at US$60 for both parts, it's not quite worth the hype as the special announcement that minori fans wanted seeing that they probably expect some interesting announcement such as the continuation of Supipara (Well I guess there's no much that they can do on Supipara seeing that minori already cease their operation). We also have Ciconia release, in which it have simultaneous release for both of Japanese and English version. While the premise was looks promising with war and all, unfortunately it's still not finished VN because Ryukishi did intend this as the fifth When They Cry series and we knew on how it need eight arcs to complete the stories (ie Higurashi and Umineko). Of course Ciconia here is not an exception seeing that it already confirmed that it'll have three arcs (ie phases) more, and even then it would still mean that there'll be the second half with dour phases (If Ryukishi keep his writing pattern for When They Cry). But if you already interested and want to try it immediately, then go ahead and have fun.
We also have Lemnisca announced Dei Gratia Kickstarter, and from the amount that they intended as the base goal (At US$ 57,000) I would say that it would be a very uphill battle seeing that the base goal was quite high for a lesser known doujin VN. Still anything can be happen when it come with Kickstarter, so hopefully Lemnisca will be successful with the Kickstarter and good luck to them. For the release, we have YU-NO remake which to be fair was not quite a redundant one seeing that the new player probably prefer the new graphic and at least it look refreshing. But still I can see on why some people prefer the older graphic, in that it have to do with nostalgia here. So yeah since I prefer old graphic a bit, to me the release is redundant one and also it's censored as well although to be fair it was released at console first though (ie PS4 in which it's Sony's console, and we know on how recently Sony tightening the censorship). But still it have some improvement though, such as the obvious updated graphic and a new hint that will appear in the gameplay although it's more or less still the same though. Anyway you can get YU-NO remake on either Steam or console version (PS4 and Switch), and have fun if you've been playing that.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.

littleshogun got a reaction from Dreamysyu for a blog entry, Rain on the G-String Review - Top 10 Best Rated VNs Translated in 2010
After 2009 and 2012, this time I'll talk about 2010 in which there's still quite a number of good VNs being fan translated while at the same time Mangagamer was slowly making their way to be more active. Of course obviously we still didn't have Sekai yet and JAST here is still idling with they readying the release for 2011, and apparently from what I remember they already got infamous because on how they only announced fan translated projects or something like that. As for the list here, the rule is still the same with no nukige, no otome, no BL, and no fandisc in the list. Let's see what kind of good VN that we have at 2010.
    10. Kikokugai - The Cyber Slayer (VNDB 7.46)
There's a story abut a Ki Master (Kong Taoluo) who lost his sister (Ruili) that married to his best friend (Haojun), because her husband way of showing his affection by brutally rape her and split her soul into five (Also storing the souls in the sex cyborgs). Enraged, Taoluo decided to kill Haojun and try to get back Ruili's soul by fusing all of five separated parts, only that it's not as easy as it looks seeing that Haojun became the Chinese mafia leader and that he handed the other four sex dolls to his trusted four cadres who each of them are quite strong. Seeing that there's no other choice and the cadres are also helping Haojun showing his affection to Ruili, Taoluo decided to kill them as well even though it may prove too much for him. As for the releases we have two version with the original one was back at 2010, and at 2015 we have the remake release in that it have improved graphic and voice from famous seiyuu (Including Yukari Tamura as Ruili and Sho Hayami as Haojun) in exchange for slight CG censorship. We also have JAST was abut to release it since back at 2011, but considering that we already have the remake translated let's just say that it'll be redundant release if they ever manage to release it. Almost forget to say that this is another Urobochi's work, so obviously don't expect happy story here.
    9. Daibanchou -Big Bang Age- (VNDB 7.47)
Another VN that was translated by Aroduc and that was released by Alice Soft, so it should be pretty obvious that Daibanchou here is another gameplay VN. For the premise, we have our hot blooded student Zanma Ruga transferred to a school in Tokyo in order to cure his fiancee's curse, and that he must collect the magical items to achieve the gals. There's a problem though, namely that the items was held by some powerful school leader so Rouga must gather his army in order to take the items. By the way in here we have a setting where the world was invaded by the demon and that each student did have superpower, and the strongest one would be the school leader (Rouga here is one of the strongest student). Since this is Alice Soft VN, it's possible for Rouga to have sex with other woman even though Rouga himself already have fiancee (Well she allow it if I remember). As for the gameplay itself, it's sort of crude version of Sengoku in that you can only attack enemies territory once per turn, although the most significant things is that you have time limit in which it force you to play several times if you want to get all of the characters and clear them. Even then, I'm still find that Daibanchou here is quite fun and that Rouga was not as selfish as Rance (Not say a lot though).
    8. Narcissu 2 (VNDB 7.53)
The second part of Narcissu duology in that it tell us the story abut our main heroine Setsumi before facing a certain ending that rumored to made some reader spent a lot of tissue, and apparently the same rumor would hold true to this VN as well (After all Narcissu is categorized as utsuge not for nothing). Anyway as for the premise in the first part we have Setsumi was go through the journey with the nameless male MC seeing that she didn't have a lot of time thanks to her disease, and in this second part here we'll roll back to seven years ago when Setsumi was at 15 at the hospital. At the hospital Setsumi will slowly befriended Himeko who is also a car otaku, and that Himeko have some problem with her faith because of her past. As for the release it's an unique one seeing that the author himself did approve the fan translation just like True Remembrance, and that this release was also combined the first part that was released back at 2005 so you can get this to play Narcissu fully. There's also Sekai rereleased this back at 2014, although of course by then it's release is already redundant. For the bonus, here's the second part opening and as usual eufonius here did a good job.
    7. Da Capo 2 (VNDB 7.59)
Took place ~50 years after first Da Capo and ~20 years before Da Capo 3 Prologue, once again we have our advanture at Haysunejima in that it was famous because of the everlasting sakura that can grant any wish. This time our MC is Sakurai Yoshiyuki who been best friends with Junichi's (Da Capo 1 MC) granddaughters, and those two granddaughters are also one school with Yoshiyuki. Other character to note is Sakura (Returning character from the prequel, and Junichi's cousin who doubled as one of Da Capo heroine), in that she's the principal of Yoshiyuki's school and that she didn't aging for ~50 years because she's a magician and all. As for the writing it's generally accepted that the routes writing here did improved from Da Capo, although there's a flaw as well though in that Koko's route which became infamous because Yoshiyuki here prefer to make some drama instead of resole it calmly. Other than that, this time Circus learn from first Da Capo in that they place the main heroines (Junichi's granddaughters) routes unlocked later instead of available from the first. Lastly we can play 'passionate Hitomi Nabatame-voiced love-making' scenes here, because we have Nabatame voicing Nanaka who as we know is quite similar with DC Kotori.
    6. Eien no Aselia -The Spirit of Eternity Sword- (VNDB 7.64)
An isekai VN in that we have our siscon MC Yuuto was summoned into anther world, and forced to work for a warmongering king that want to expand his territory as much as possible. To make it worse, the sword that Yuuto weld is a sentient being and Yuuto himself is could be succumbed into the sword's influence and thus make the people around him suffer. Of course seeing that it's a VN Yuuto is not alone in that he have female companions with one of them is the titular heroine Aseila (ie the main one), and that her ending is canon thanks to a certain character at Senarukana (The sequel). As for the release, while back then it's censored at least it could be justified because back then Xuse still not released the perfect edition in that it contain both of PS2 contents and 18+ contents, and that Dakkodango (Later will become Fruitbat) already finished this back at 2010 (Besides the PS2 contents are more than enough to make up the censorship anyway). After a year (At 2011), JAST rereleased this and it's still censored as it is. While they gave a reason in that they didn't want to take a risk on the lolicon contents, I'm more convinced that they didn't want to do an extra work to either translated the sex scenes or working on the Complete edition.
    5. ef - a fairy tale of the two (VNDB 8.05)
If back at 2009 we have Aoishiro as the most beautiful graphic in regard of translated VN, then in 2010 we have ef in that we can say this as minori's Magnum Opus. And it really show considering that it's still famous because of the arts, in that it's still be able to rival some modern VNs graphic (And both of ef opening here is really show good animation thanks to Makoto Shinkai). Another thing to note is that apparently ef was released back at when both No Name Loser (NNL) and minori did have a conflict of interest, and that the incident was called minorigate. In the end even with that shenanigan in that in the past they say that they didn't need foreign support, it's still unfortunate though that minori is no longer operated after their big fail in Supipara (Well not exactly though seeing that they still develop some VNs after Supipara, but Supipara here is apparently need a lot of money so much that it cost minori a lot).
As for the VN itself, it contain five different MC with five different love stories. While at the first glance this looks like separated stories, actually there's a Myth Arc happen behind it and it also happen that each characters in each stories turned out have some connections with each other to a degree. As for the Myth Arc, we have our main MC Himura Yuu have meeting with the main heroine Amamiya Yuuko at the church in the Christmas Eve, and both of them reminisce on how they help some couple along with their own love story. For additional note here, we have Mangagamer act as the third party in regard of minorigate, so in order to resolve the conflict they decided to allow Mangagamer to own minori's license. So obviously Mangagamer did rerelease ef at the latter years, and the release is not so redundant because they add the Extra menu that was missing in 2010 release (Probably because NNL release it hastily back then).
    4. Symphonic Rain (VNDB 8.13)
Also known as the only rhythm gameplay translated VN (So naturally there'll be some insert song), and that it's only all age release in which it's logical seeing that we have well-known seiyuu voicing the heroines here. It also have rerelease as well back at 2017 by Degica, in that it change the graphic slightly (Not as drastic as YU-NO remake). And for the most important part, the songs and the BGM here is the late Okazaki Ritsuko's Swan Song because she compose the BGM for this VN before she passed away back at 2004. The premise is we have our MC Chris attend a music school in a city that always raining, and he somehow managed to befriended a fairy. One day he's about to graduate from the school and that his last test is he must play a fortell to allow his partner to sing along, and that it might be too hard for Chris seeing that he didn't have much friend. Even so, there's no choice for Chris other than to search the partner to do his graduation test. While graphically wise this VN would give you the impression that it'll be a lighthearted story (Especially the rereleased one), don't be fooled by that because like Hakuai (Same developer) some of the ending are quite heavy.
    3. Remember11 -The Age of Infinity- (VNDB 8.18)
The most infamous Infinity series, manly because the fact that the ending was quite abrupt thanks to the conflict between the staffs that didn't allow them to have a consensus in regard of the true ending (Or so that's what I'd read somewhere). This VN is also the second Infinity series to be translated after Ever17, although people was more well aware with the controversy though. As for the premise, we have two accidents in that both of Kokoro (Female MC) and Satoru (Male MC) did get trapped around the place where the heavy snowstorm is happen. As for the circumstances we have our Kokoro was one of the surviving victim of a fatal airplane accident, while for our Satoru he apparently was abut to be murdered only to be survive and trapped in a snowstorm. To complicated matter, both of Satoru and Kokoro was somehow can swap each other soul in the most impossible circumstance seeing that both of them was separated for around a thousand kilometers and more importantly the accidents were happened in the different years. As for the solution here, at least we can still guess what's really happen if we get a certain bad end, although for now most of the solution is only hypothesis though.
    2. G-Senjou no Maou (VNDB 8.29)
The most famous VN that was translated in 2010 and also the most controversial rereleased by Sekai (At 2015) because not only the license itself is redundant, it's also because Dovac was use his trusted brand of public communication to respond the criticism in regard of the censorship back at VNDB, and let's just say that it make me face-palmed there. Granted that Sekai was finally release the 18+ patch for this at April, but even then (And even back at 2015) most people are already know and discuss about this a lot so more or less people already know about this (If nothing else at least it's good for newbie). Controversy by Sekai aside, in here we have Kyousuke who is a stepson of a head yakuza and that he was intelligent. One day, he crossed path with a beautiful intelligent woman that have messy long hair (Haru, who also the main heroine here), and that she's chasing her nemesis who known by the alias 'Maou'. And so the curtain for the battle of wits between Haru and Maou was started, and little did Kyousuke know back then that he have much more involved into the battle more than he know. As for the route structure, it'd use the ladder system in which Kyousuke can either pick a girl or keep going until he reach Haru's chapter.
    1. Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai (VNDB 8.75)
The second part of Higurashi that contained the last four arcs (Higurashi have eight arcs for the reminder), and unlike the first part this time we'll going to uncover the truth behind Hinamizawa tragedy and mystery. As for the release while back at 2010 Mangagamer did release Matsuribayashi as single release instead of released full version of Kai, it still count here because Matsuribayashi here is the last arc of Higurashi. As for Kai itself of course things were still as bleak as ever with death and all even though it's not as scary as the first part, but this time our Keiichi and friends are starting to uncover some information. That said even with the horror was slowly diminishing, the 5th arc (Meakashi) was also quite infamous because of some action that was quite horrifying. This is also the part when Ryukishi started to ask some help to compose the BGM instead of rely on the free BGM, and it really show seeing that the soundtrack was considered as being very good. For more info Mangagamer was also rereleased this along with the first part, and the only two arcs that was still unreleased is Minagoroshi (Will be released at 18th later) and Matsuribayashi. For the opening I'll use Miotsukushi opening in which it's the PS2 last arc for Higurashi, although it's quite fitting anyway for Kai's opening.
That's all for 2010 list here, and as you can see some of the releases were rereleased officially with the most notable examples are G-Senjou and ef. Another thing to note is that we got many good VNs, and also JAST was starting the decline in regard of their activity (They started to be more active at 2011 if I remember). We also have some drama though, namely with the aforementioned minorigate in which apparently it's because minori so traumatic with Rapelay incident so much that minori was lashed out. Honestly both of Rapelay and minori VN are very vastly different, but remember back then the stigma that VN was a porn games for Westerner is still stronger compared to nowadays. I hope you'll like my list here.
PS - As for the title, seeing that we have Symphonic Rain and G-Senjou released back at 2010 I decided to combine those two so we have 'Rain on the G-String' as the title. For additional note here, G-Senjou title is derivative of Bach's 'Air on the G String' so of course I change the 'Air' part into 'Rain', even though it was impossible in the real life (It sounds romantic though). Forget to say that both of Symphonic Rain and G-Senjou did have music as the topic, and the latter did remixed 'Air on G String' to be used as a BGM in the G-Senjou soundtrack itself.

littleshogun got a reaction from masster_auron for a blog entry, 9 -Nine- Episode 1: Hoshizora Miyako Review
Foreword - No VNTS again, so you know what it means (I'll write another my own VNTS Review here). Either way, I hope that you'll enjoy this week VNTS Review even though I'm quite late here.
Since yesterday we have Chinese New Year, I'd been quite busy for two days beforehand so I'm sorry for being late here. Also happy Chinese New Year to anyone else who celebrated it, including me. As for the title, since we have Nine first part released I thought that it would be the best to parodied Nine first episode along with both of the main heroines of that work (Kujou Miyako) and Smile PreCure (Hoshizora Miyuki) into the combined name '9 -Nine- Episode 1: Hoshizora Miyako' because both of their character designer (Izumi Tsubasu for Miyako and Kawamura Toshie for Miyuki) work together in Mashiro Iro Symphony anime, and more importantly both of Miyako and Miyuki did share same seiyuu (Fukuen Misato). My ramble aside, I really like that finally Sol Press did their move on both of their rather big announcements (Irotoridori Kickstarter (KS) and Hitotsuba release) and that they already aggressive on that so we should be more interested with them in the future. Other than Sol Press big move, we have usual fan translation updates along with some updates from Nekonyan so let's see what I can write for this VNTS Review here.
First of all I knew that Pulltop did delay their release for their Konosora FD into February because they'd await Steam approval, which is we knew is been indecisive in regard of the censorship. My feeling in regard of that was quite mixed to be honest because while this could be a good slap for Pulltop to not release their work on Steam and started to sell their uncensored VNs on any other store (Beside Steam), this announcement could also mean that some developer would be over censor their localized VNs in order to fulfill Steam's indecisive censorship policy. In the end while I didn't look forward to Konosora FD much, I just hope that we still can see more VNs on Steam despite some happening like HGB and Konosora FD here.
We also have Noraneko release announcement here, and let's just said that we better wait for Senren Banka because the three heroines of Noraneko did share same seiyuu as Senren Banka (Kirihana, Sendai, and Kotori Yuka). One more reason for that is because it'll be censored according to the opening that I saw in which they use seiyuu's real name instead of their pseudonym (I did see that they list 'Eri Sendai' instead of 'Haruka Sora', in which the latter is Sendai's pseudonym in the eroge's credit), which mean that they'll release PS4 version instead of the default 18+ version. Let's just hope that they uploaded the wrong opening (Because they deleted the opening) and that they'll release 18+ version later, because I can see that the team could fix their mistake in regard of their introduction intro at their website so at least they should be able to hear some feedback from the fans.
From Sekai we have Nine first episode released with the premise the MC who is full voiced (His seiyuu is Atsuhi Abe if you curious) did caught up in mysterious incident case, and while at it he encountered some people with superpower. While this is definitely a VN with interesting premise and have the art drawn by Izumi Tsubasu to boot (The art is very good), it's quite unfortunate that Nine here is the episodic VN which mean that currently the story is still incomplete although from what I see apparently each episode will cover one heroine. In this case the main heroine for the Episode 1 here would be Kujou Miyako who is a rich businessman daughter and yet she's like to live humbly and very calculating when spending the money. In any case, we need to wait for 2020 (Estimation) if we want to enjoy it fully because even Palette didn't create the 4th episode yet, and even longer if we rely on the translated version like us because we wouldn't know if Sekai will announce the rest of Nine here (They should announce those parts if they want to sell the complete story). Have fun to anyone else who already been interested into Nine, despite that it's still the first chapter.
From fan translation, we have Eustia was at 65.82% translated along with 45.86% edited and 44.47% TLC-ed, Harugi's overall was at 55% translated with Shino's route was at 96% translated and Branch was at 47% translated (Along with 47% TLC-ed) - I'm kind of curious of how the progress will be going after Shino's route is finished, Watamasu was at 42% translated, Higurashi Yoigoshi's patch was released and the current progress for Tokihogushi was fully ported, 4,719 lines from Pure x Connect were translated along with 1,258 lines of it were edited, Relaxation Yuka was at 66.46% translated, and Hoshiori's overall was at 70.84% translated with Touko's route was fully translated (We may have Touko's patch at this weekend, although I didn't know for certain though). I think that's all for fan translation updates.
We have some updates from Nekonyan, in which we have Fureraba FD as their next release. As for their other updates, we have Aokana was at past halfway (60%) translated along with 20% edited and Sukiren was reach 90% mark translated along with halfway edited. From Sol Press we have Hitotsuba exact release date in which they'll release it at 15th later so at least we can treat it as Valentine's gift from Sol Press, and they already set the store at Steam (Good that it's still not banned) so you should pre-order that if you interested with the VN. I admit that the costumes were not as interesting as Aokana, but perhaps this one could be interesting seeing that it involving plane fight as the in-game fictional sport so that you can try Hitotsuba while we waiting for Aokana (Quite fitting seeing that Hitotsuba has been called as the second Aokana).
For the biggest news from Sol Press, we have them set up the KS for Irotoridori with rather sizeable base goal at 85,000 with the stretch goal was to released two FDs (Or sequels) at 170,000 for Hikari and 215,000 for Akai. I knew that some people did treat Irotoridori as trilogy, but apparently Favorite did sell Hikari as the FD. As for the release estimation, it'll be at December 2021 later which while I think it's too long actually it's quite reasonable time frame because it'll took many times to translate all of trilogy there. Personally I'm fine with the first part only though because it's been too much dying projects there, although obviously it's very good if Sol Press want to translate all of the trilogy. Good luck to the KS there and I hope it'll be successful for the sake of the one who wait for Irotoridori. As for the current funds, right now the KS managed to gather 28,277 out of 85,000 which is quite good for the first part here.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next time.
  18. Yes
littleshogun got a reaction from masster_auron for a blog entry, Angraecum Scramble Review - Top 10 Best Rated VNs Translated at 2018
Welcome to my top 10 list of translated VNs for 2018, and I think it's the right time to make this seeing that 2019 is almost come. As for the rule, there's no yaoi, otome, fandisc (ie Fata Morgana fandisc), and re-release (Konosora and Chaos Child). As for my list here, my taste here is quite personal so I'm sorry if some of your favorite titles didn't available here. Here's my list of top 10 translated VNs for this year, and I hope that you'll enjoy it. As for the score currently I'm based on the VNDB average score at June 10th, 2025, although it may be change in the future seeing that the scores is often fluctuated.
    10. Hapymaher (VNDB 7.41, Erogamescape 78)
While I did admit that I was interested with this VN because of the costumes that the girls wear in the dream, I also can see that the costumes here is quite sexy so much that it did distract the reader's attention from the real meat of this VN which is the mind screw story that have some nakige element. I understand that the distraction may be deliberate, but it's still a waste though to have that kind of sexy costumes considering that this isn't nukige lol. As for the premise, it was in regard of the MC Tohru Naito who is burdened by his past that he was lost his family, so much that he can't rest because he did have lucid dream every night that he keep felt awaken in the dream. One night he saw two mysterious girls Alice and Maia, with the former was trying to help Tohru while the latter keep doing something bad. From there Tohru keep trying to find the solution to his own problem, while Maia somehow keep dragging the other girls into Tohru's dream. Since this VN involving people entering dream, what I can say is that it would be better to just enjoy the show instead of keep thinking seriously of how is that even plausible because it'll be hurt you head if you think it. Oh and almost forget to say that Hapymaher here did have Alice in Wonderland theme.
    9. Sorcery Jokers (VNDB 7.43, Erogamescape 79)
The first 2018 release from Mangagamer that was announced back at Otakon 2016, and it's setting was in regard of a city which got some magic user that was exist after years ago when the magic was suddenly came to the existence. While at the first glance it made people felt more content seeing that they manage to a normal life, beneath that there's some secret plan happening and it affected the life of several people. Two of those people are Senri (The magic using criminal) and Mutsumi Haruto (Ordinary school boy), and from there they'd try to understand more about what's happening around them in which they may need have a hard time to do that.
As for the MCs each of the MC got two heroines each, and yeah I did say it in plural because in Sorcery Jokers we'll going to have two MCs (The aforementioned Haruto and Senri). That said, since this VN involving some combat and world building we won't see much romance at least until you finished the VN, and for more info this VN is a linear one with the feature that you need to unlock the scenes first. Also while there's only two MCs occasionally we also can see the perspective from three other heroines (The fourth heroine didn't have POV), or to put it simply it's like 11eyes Cross Vision system. Speaking about Haruto, I did hear that his 'not playing fair' catchphrase is annoying although I would say that Haruto here is overshadowed by far more cool Senri, and that you can slightly understand there's a reason of why Haruto is like that if you know the twist (The twist remind me of Tales of the Abyss's own twist).
    8. Fureraba ~Friend to Lover~ (VNDB 7.61, Erogamescape 81)
The first time I find this VN was through the opening song, in which I did hear it when I'm binged Astral Air opening. One time I let my Youtube video player to play next video in the play list, and it happen that one of the video was Fureraba opening in which I'd find it addictive because it's sounds melancholic. Anyway after I'd hear the opening I search about the VN, and turned out that it's a VN from Smee in which back then there's no hope to be translated even though I'm quite interested with that. At least until Nekonyan did their debut and announced Fureraba as their first title, in which they'd release it quickly at the same month that they promised (March). As for Fureraba, while the opening sounds melancholic actually the game itself is full of humor so we can say that it got some mismatch lol. The premise is simple though that namely it's about Kyousuke (The MC) who strife get his girlfriend, and that you must accomplish it through the small talks between the heroines. As for the heroines, there's estranged childhood friend, best friend, very rude classmate, and very shy popular senior girl. Overall I did enjoy this VN and if you want more Smee VNs, there'll be more considering that Nekonyan picked Making Lovers.
    7. Maitetsu (VNDB 7.68, Erogamescape 77)
Since the heroines here are designed to look like child, Lose was afraid of the ban for overseas release so much that they censored panty shot in the VN as well. That said, it's still fair enough compared to what Pulltop did to Miagete because at least Sekai also released the 18+ patch for this in that it unlock the sex scenes if you didn't mind with it. Nowadays there's also the patch to restore the censored contents, so censored contents shouldn't be an issue anymore. For the premise here, we got out MC Soutetsu who suffer train accident in his childhood come back to his hometown in order to save the town from the potential water pollution thanks to the plan to build an aircraft factory. Some time later, he find a doll which turned out to be an android known as Raillord which supposed to control the train, and seeing that Soutetu got an idea to revive the train so that the town didn't need to depend on the factory as income source of the town. By the way the Raillords here are pretty much the train's life, so it's understandable if you asking about the setting if you heard it first. The questionable setting and early controversy aside, Maitetsu here did have a lot of technical talk about train itself.
    6. Evenicle (VNDB 7.69, Erogamescape 82)
The first attempt from Alicesoft to make new franchise now that they already ended Rance franchise, although both of Evenicle and Rance did share some of it's lore though. As for the VN story itself, it's self contained enough considering the scope was covering of the whole Evenicle world instead of a part of the whole world like Rance, although judging from the sequel we may have many different worlds for Evenicle series setting though. As for the first Evenicle premise, it's in regard of Aster who want to marry both of his childhood friend only to be stopped by the rule that man can only have one wife unless he became the knight. So Aster decide to become the knight in order to be able to marry both, and from there he met several other women who one way or another become his wives while at the same time he face several enemies who based on Seven Deadly Sins. As for the gameplay I think it's like the combination of Final Fantasy 4 with fixed five party members with specified roles, and Final Fantasy 4 Heroes of Light with battle system that based on 5 BP that will regenerate by one per turn (Also with the Seven Deadly Sins). Overall I did find that Evenicle here is quite good.
    5. Tsujidou-san no Jun'ai Road (VNDB 7.69, Erogamescape 78)
I did repeatedly say that it'll be better if we didn't expect Majikoi from this seeing that both premises are already different, but seeing that the tone is the same along with the fact that there's Takahiro who is infamously have big influence in each of his credited works, it's hard to say that it's not like Majikoi here. So perhaps the right word for Tsujidou here is 'Majikoi but no Majikoi', in which I know it's hard to understand but at least I'm certain that Tsujidou here will be full of comedy. Anyway the premise is that our Hiroshi who is far more normal compared to Majikoi's MC did spot the beautiful delinquent at his class Tsujidou Ai (The main heroine) did looking cute while pick a cat, and from there both of Hiroshi and Ai sort of in relationship for a while. At the same time, Ai was dubbed as one of the three strong delinquent in their territory along with two other heroines (Renna and Maki). For more info, this is the second Tsurezure's work that in which Trip didn't like Maki to put it lightly and said that Hiroshi here is worse compared to HatsuKoi's Yuuma. Even so, they still managed to finish Tsujidou and I'm sure that most people who've been looking forward to this would be grateful, so I appriciate their work on this even with the fact that Trip dislike this.
    4. Island (VNDB 7.77, Erogamescape 82)
Frontwing 15th anniversary project, and instead of ask four writers like back at Grisaia this time they decided to ask Goo to write this, so it's normal if we expect some sci-fi from this considering that Goo did write Himawari who is also known for some sci-fi element. As for the premise, it was in regard of Setsuna who at first didn't remember his name until a girl with the name Rinne call him with that name, and so Setsuna decided to go with it and helping Rinne while at the same time try to understand his own self. We also have the setting that there's a legend that Rinne here is one part of the three families in an isolated island, and that there's a rumored curse that was supposed to be happened because of apparent past mistakes that was done by supposed Setsuna's and Rinne's ancestors. Almost forget that like Tsujidou you can have a romance with the three family daughters, although since this is all age VN obviously we wouldn't have sex scenes (At least Yukari Tamura as Rinne here is more than enough tradeoff lol). Like Grisaia, Frontwing also adapt Island into anime and it should be good if for the conclusive ending only (The anime was kind of rushed though), while at the same time the VN was ended in slightly less conclusive note.
    3. Sanoba Witch aka Sabbat of the Witch (VNDB 7.84, Erogamescape 80)
Back at last year I did thought that Sekai will bring more Yuzusoft VNs, and turned out I was wrong because the one who release it first was Nekonyan. Also to elaborate more Senren Banka license was moved from Sekai to Nekonyan, leaving Sekai with Tenshin Ranman and Dracu Riot in which both of those are frozen so any chance for near future release is small. So let me redact my statement by saying that there'll be more Yuzusoft VN in the future because Nekonyan have Senren Banka. Anyway as for Sanoba's premise here it's about of how love that was started from masturbation, and it make sense in the context. Or if you want to be concise it's about our MC Shuuji who can perceive the emotion saw Nene who was masturbate in the library which turned out it's because of her witch contract that cause the horniness, and Nene sign the contract in order to fulfill her wish just like Madoka. While they say witch, I would say that magical girl here is more fitting to Sanoba but then again both of those are almost the same. For more info, this is the first officially localized Yuzusoft VN while at the same time the third (The second if you still wait for Dracu Riot official release) translated Yuzusoft VN, and once again there'll be more in the future thanks to Nekonyan.
    2. Flowers -Le Volume sur Été- (VNDB 8.34, Erogamescape 81)
Also known as Flowers Summer, and the most interesting JAST release at this year out of their three releases to me, with their other two releases are Schatten and Sweet House. As for the premise, once again it's shoujo ai VN telling the story of a tall and beautiful girl, Suoh, who is painfully shy attend Saint Angraecum in order to improve herself, and currently suffer some heartbreak after the drama from Flowers Spring happened. Thus our snarky wheel chaired girl Yaegaki Erika took unto herself as Suoh's fellow fan of literature to help Suoh to recover and become the MC of this VN, and obviously we'll going to see of how Erika will handle her own problem in which she did find a new friend with the name Takasaki Chidori who'll later become her soulmate. Since this is the second part of tetralogy, obviously there'll be two more parts in which as of now JAST was working on the third part and hopefully they'll work on the fourth part (Which will conclude Suoh's story) later. Oh yes, unlike Flowers Spring this time there's no controversies in regard of the bad translation, so good job to the translator. Also there are some known anime VAs voicing the characters in here, namely Kaori Nazuka (Suoh's VA), Aya Suzaki (Chidori's VA), and Sakura Ayane (Erika's VA).
    1. 428 ~Fuusa Sareta Shibuya de~ aka 428: Shibuya Scramble (VNDB 8.35 Erogamescape 84)
Currently the only VN that got Famitsu score 40/40 in which in term of video game it would be a big accomplishment (Only 25 games as of 2017), and obviously it mean that Shibuya Scramble here would be a subject of hype. Although as for that, I think the hype was pretty much justified seeing that this VN is quite unique because instead of usual anime like drawing, the creator decided to use photograph which mean that it's obviously will cost a lot. As for the premise, it start simple enough with a detective was tasking into resolve the kidnapping case by giving the ransom money to the kidnapper. Of course things turn out to be not as simple as the first look, and so the detective decided to unravel what's really happening behind the kidnapping. Other than the detective, there's four other characters who somehow are involved in the kidnapping case and you'll going to see from the perspectives of all of those characters so essentially we'll going to have five MCs. Other than PS4, Shibuya Scramble was also out for PC so you can play it if you didn't have PS4, although you can only use the keyboard to play it. Almost forget that if you like Canaan anime, you should check Shibuya Scramble here seeing that this VN is the prequel for the anime itself.
As for of the VNs at this year, I would say that with Nekonyan being aggressive looks like it'll be possible that we can get more VNs title. Although of course the situation can be change though because it's still up to the company whether they can release it or not, and we know that the company situation could be easily changed. With this year was almost close, let's look forward to 2019 later with more potential VNs release.
PS - As for the title, I'm just combined Flowers school place setting (Saint Angraecum) with Shibuya Scramble, so we got 'Angraecum Scramble' for the title although of course there's no big scrambling zebra cross in the school in Flowers like back at Shibuya.

littleshogun got a reaction from masster_auron for a blog entry, Fifty Shades of Kirie Review
Foreword - Yet another week with no VNTS, so hopefully by the time of Sanoba release (Four days left) we'll gonna see another VNTS Review there, and for the reminder Decay was worked on Sanoba. So here's another VNTS Review from mine here, and I hope that you'll enjoy this week review.
For the title, seeing that we have Bishoujo Mangekyou release at the last week, I thought that it would be appropriate if I parodied 'Fifty Shades of Grey' movie into 'Fifty Shades of Kirie' even though I'm belated a week for that. As for the reason of why I chose that particular franchise, it's because in Bishoujo Mangekyou we have young looking vampire girl (Kirie) and we surely know that Twilight here would be associated with romance between vampire and human. Being the popular work obviously mean that Twilight here would have a lot of fan fiction/doujin work, and one of those works was the basis for Fifty Shades of Grey with Christian Grey in the novel was supposed to be stand-in for Edward Cullen, in which Edward himself is a vampire in the original Twilight. Therefore I changed 'Grey' into 'Kirie' simply because she's a vampire like Edward and did have some sadistic streak like Grey, even though the sex scenes in Bishoujo Mangekyou didn't involved BDSM lol.
Fifty Shades of Grey rambling aside, welcome to this week VNTS Review in which unlike last week we didn't have the releases at this week. That said we have a bunch of the updates from Mangagamer after a while so at least this week was slightly interesting for that, although of course we still have some usual updates from fan translation here at this week. Other than usual updates, we also got a good news that Frontier KS was officially confirmed as successful one along with many stretch goal was also funded. Let's see what I could write for this week as well.
From Cherry Kiss we'll gonna have elf angel demon nukige will be released at November 7th so congratulation to mod Dergonu in regard of that his second work was finally about to be released, although personally I'm just pass on this though. Other than Cherry Kiss announcement release, we also got an update in regard of Lamunation in which the current progress was at 17% although I admittedly late in regard of reporting this because LoveLab was already posted the update since back at last week (14th) at their Twitter here. As for Frontier KS, congratulation for the successful campaign in which they managed to gather more than ~23 million yen with the base goal was only at 16,665,000 yen for the comparison. While personally I think that the stretch goal was mostly only a cosmetic one, it's nice to see though that Ninetail would do their extra effort to provide new content there such as new soundtrack and new side episodes. Anyway what I can say is that after I did try the gameplay demo, easy to say that I'm gonna looking forward for the full release even though I'm need to wait for 14 or more months here.
As for the updates from Mangagamer, obviously their most biggest updates at this week was Bokuten was about to enter the testing in which if we know it's been frozen for several years because of the editing hell or something like that. With this update, obviously it mean that all of the editing process was already finished. As for me while in the past it's one of the big title that was announced by Mangagamer, nowadays there's a lot of more attractive VNs announcement that was announced by either Mangagamer or other company so I couldn't help to think that Bokuten was already having the trope 'Seinfeld is Unfunny' there, but it's still nice to see that finally it managed to get a word from them about that after a long while though. Other than Bokuten, we have Steam Prison was about to enter the testing too, Amatarasu was fully translated and 78% edited, Trinoline was fully edited, Sukehime was at 23% translated and 13% edited, Escalayer was at 91% translated and 58% edited, Maggot Bait was at 55% edited, Room No.9 was at 45% translated and 30% edited, Sona Nyl was at 64% translated, and Rance X was at 18% translated which is a lot more than it sounds. That's all for Mangagamer updates.
Right now we have Eustia was at 55.35% translated, Harugi's overall was at 24% translated with Miyabi's route was at 10% translated, and Loverable was at 44.39% edited. We also have new project for Gore Screaming Show with the obvious goal was to fully translated the VN in question, although technically it's not the new project though because the team was been working on that for a while. Right now the team was finally find someone who can make the patch, so hopefully they'll be able to keep the stable updates there. You can visit their homepages here (There's two websites for the info), and for the current progress right now it was at 20.97% translated. As for Screaming Show itself, personally I didn't quite interested with that but I see that some people who like the disturbing content took a liking with that, so I hope that the project will be successful if only for them. For the last update, we got Marika's route of Hoshiori was past halfway (52.79%) translated and overall was at 15.6% translated. There's also the plan that they'll release Marika's patch along with announcing the route order at November 3rd because Urrim want to go to Japan, but keep in mind that the plan may change.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.

littleshogun got a reaction from masster_auron for a blog entry, Kirara x Wataru Review
Foreword - Since we already knew that Decay would gonna be busy in regard of Nekonyan seeing that he's one of their staff and admin Tay was still absent (Probably from travelling), predictably we didn't have VNTS for this week as well. So one again I decided to write this week VNTS Review, and I hope that you'll enjoy this week VNTS Review.
As for this week title, I understand if most of the user here wouldn't understand it just by looking it alone, so I'll explain the title first. For the information about who is Kirara and Wataru both of those two were the characters from Go Princess PreCure (GPPC), in which the former was a PreCure while for the latter he's the big brother of Kirara's fellow PreCure. As for the shipping, I'd read that the coupling for those two characters were quite well known albeit very subtle because there's more prominence shipping at GPPC there. Obviously I wouldn't talk about the GPPC shippings here, but instead I'd use the shipping as the seiyuu joke here because we have Hello Lady announcement from Nekonyan. For more detail here, the seiyuu for Wataru was Okitsu Kazuyuki who voiced Hello Lady badass MC Shinri Narita using pseudonym Umesaki Charlie, while the seiyuu for Kirara was Yamamura Hibiku and in Hello Lady she was voicing Katsuragi Sorako using pseudonym Mizusaki Lime.
My rambling aside, this week we have exciting announcements from Nekonyan and an average one from Sol Press. Other than the announcement from those two companies, we have some updates from both of fan translation and Mangagamer. Speaking about fan translation, seeing that some of the official translator was probably the fan of their work and we saw many of fan translation project going official, perhaps rather than fan translation it would be fitting to call it unofficial translation. But still I understand though if people felt that the word 'unofficial' could be sounds rude for the people who do the translation, so I'll just keep the term 'fan translation' here. Anyway, welcome to this week VNTS Review and let's see what I can write for this week as well.
No big update from Sekai at this week, but it seems to be the norm for them so whatever. I know that there's some background work in regard of their projects, but so far there's no visible progress on their bigger announcement such as Senren Banka and Nanairo, with the former is going to be ironic because Nekonyan managed to get first official release of Yuzusoft VN (Sanoba). That aside, even if I say 'no big update' it didn't mena that Sekai didn't have any update for this week because they still have one small update, and it was in regard of the exact release date for Love'S Sweet Garnish aka Koiama. The premise was looks like usual moege with cafe, so I'll just pass on this for now.
As for fan translation more or less it's another usual week, although too bad though that Summer Pocket demo release was delayed again and this time they want to look up the script so the estimation release date for now was unknown until it was announced (Hope the best for the team). Speaking about delayed, Astro did say that there's some mess in regard of Clover Days so he couldn't release it because of some legal matter or something like that, so safe to say that perhaps he did messed up in regard of the project. I hope that the mess in regard of Clovers Days were sorted out now that the project was in torpor (Because Astro didn't say that it was dead), if only for the sake of the translator (Ittaku) - sorry for going personal here. For the progress, we have Eustia was at 50.42% translated along with 41.07% edited, Harugi's overall was at 15% translated with Toko's route was past halfway (51%) translated and Branch was at 26% translated (Along with 13% edited), Pure Pure was at 82.31% translated with Tobari's route was at 32.71% translated, and Watamasu show another progress with current progress was at 14% translated.
From Mangagamer, we saw in Twitter that they indeed finished the translating and editing processes for Haretaka, and since we already knew about that back at Otakon we can treat the tweet as a direct confirmation from Mangagamer. For now I just wonder when they'll do the beta testing for Haretaka, and I hope that they'll do it in the near future. Other than Haretaka, we have Maggot Bait was at 95% translated (Good job to Kouryuu for almost survive in Maggot Bait), Amrilato was both fully translated and edited, Kyonyuu Fantasy 2 was fully translated, Son Nyl was at 58% translated, Trinoline was at 80% edited, Sukehime was at 10% translated, and Escalayer was at 72% translated along with 56% edited (Good job for the progress there Quof). Also while this is not included in their Twitter, the crowdfund for Overdrive's Swan Song (MUSICA) was already going and right now they almost gathered 90 million yen or in dollar it would be at 800,000. Even though we still don't know much about this, I'll going to keep my eyes on this since looking from the base goal alone it looks interesting.
    Other
There'll be much to talk about Nekonyan's announcements here, but before that let's see some roundup for this section first. Since August here was already ended, obviously the KS for Frontier was delayed and therefore they'll set up the new month in which it'll be at this month - I just hope that they didn't keep delaying it to the next month each time the month ended. There's neighbor as well, in which they already released the demo for the backer. While I did saw some good news about this, unfortunately the graphic was quite bad so I would pass on this. Although of course it might have some potential, just like Fata Morgana.
We also have Punchline VN release, in which it was adaptation from the anime series with new scenario. While the staff behind it looks promising with Uchikoshi work as the writer with both of Nakazawa (As senior director) and Abo (As other composer), it would be quite hard for them to have Punchline to be equal to Ever17 (Those three people were work together in Ever17) because the premise itselves were quite absurd in the first place. The premise for Punchline itself is that we have a boy who have a curse that if he saw woman's panties twice he'll be dead and a meteor would destroy the Earth (There'll be alot of that seeing that this is one of fanservice anime), and yet it shouldn't be a problem to a boy himself because he have an ability to travel back in time as a ghost to fix up his mistake. I'm definitely don't make up the premise here, because it's the real premise itself. So if you want to see of how both of Nakazawa and Uchikoshi handle the game itself, you need to approach it with open mind very much just to accept the premise. Anyway, as for the release it was released for Europe back at August 31st, with both of USA and PC version coming later. Have fun if you've been interested with the anime and want to try the VN itself.
Once again back at this week we have big two announcements from Nekonyan, and those two were the projects that most people were been wanted to be localized. In regard of Nekonyan itself, I think so far they show that they'd eager to improve more in regard of the release so I would like to see more of them in the future, especially in regard of their two additional secrets announcement after Sanoba release. For now I just hope that they'll be able to handle the works himself seeing that they currently have to work on nine projects with three were working on and the other six (Including two big announcements and two secret projects) were in work, and hopefully the won't suffer the burnout too much because of too much projects.
For the first announcement itself, it was Hello Lady in which it's one of the VN that I've been interested into as GPPC fan, mainly because of the seyuu themselves like I said before lol. Although if one want to see it from the VN itself, it was a chuuni VN which told the story about Narita who is quite capable transferred onto the high class school and managed to become the member of student council which mostly comprised girls (Eroge and all). Of course seeing that Narita himself is quite capable and badass, naturally he'd have dark past which cause him to have one goal in his mind and it was revenge. Almost forget that we also have some sort of special ability seeing that it's chuuni VN and all, so we'll see more action just like back at Comyu (Same developer). For unrelated notes here, from what I saw usually the MC from Akabei Soft and it's branch (Including Hello Lady developer Akatsuki Works) were quite capable and well developed, so once again if one want capable MC then Hello Lady should be good enough.
As we know, their second announcement is Aokana in which it did go through drama road before finally saw the chance to be localized here. Before the announcement, most of the people were correctly predict that it'll be localized by Nekonyan seeing that Sprite already tweet that it'll be localized overseas, although their wording is questionable though (Overseas transplant) so I'm worried that SG might get this. For the drama, it's interesting to mention that both Ren and Astro did work together, and it's quite unfortunate that they didn't managed to finish the project properly because of the discord that happened, so much that the project was cursed. Enough about the past and let's try to talk about the premise, in which we'll gonna have the heroines will do Flying Circus (FC) with magical girl like tight body suit along with MC as the retired FC athlete did the coaching. The FC itself did have enough detail for a fictional sport, so perhaps Japan can make an exhibition match for that at Olympic 2020 later lol. Seeing that the girl was look like a magical girl in their suit, I'll look forward to the release.
For the release plan of those two Nekonyan announcements, they said that they'll launch it at Q2 2019 later with Hello Lady first and after that Aokana at summer later, which is quite fitting flr the latter case seeing that Aokana time setting was in summer. Also they plan to release it a console port version and they'll add 18+ patch for the releases, which is not a big deal more than it sounds because both announcements did have low sexual content and I'm sure that there's no problem if they cut the sex scenes. They also work together with Hikari Field, in which if we remember was responsible with Tayutama 2 infamous translation, so Nekonyan here may have license Tayutama in the future.
That's all that I can write for now, and see you next week.
PS - I'd just realize that I forgot to write about Sol Press announcement (Daresora), so I'll write about that at next VNTS Review.

Foreword - No VNTS again, so time for another my own VNTS Review here. I hope that you'll enjoy my VNTS Review here, and once again I would hope that someday we'll gonna have VNTS as well.
Welcome to this week VNTS Review even though I'd write this on Wednesday here so I'm quite late for this, and seeing that we did have Mangagamer's Otakon announcements at last Saturday I'll comment about the announcement in this review as well. As for the title, I'm sure that some of us would recognize it as Esperanto language, but let's see what we updates that we have at this week beforehand (I'll explain the title in PS later). For this week, seeing that we have Otakon announcements from Mangagamer, I would say that this week is definitely a good one. Other than Otakon announcement, we also have sizeable updates from the fan translation section compared to the last week, and not so favorable news from Sekai as well. With that done, let's see what I can write for this week as well.
Yesterday we have surprising news from Sekai, which unfortunately is quite a bad one namely that Sekai fired off all of their marketing staff. While understandably they probably in dire need of money so they think that they should be able to do the marketing be themselves fine, unfortunately seeing the former CEO bad reputation I wouldn't be so sure if it's would be the good decision from Sekai or not. Anyway, it show that Sekai perhaps have some problem inside of the company itself so maybe some of the their partner would have doubt on Sekai. Enough my assumption here for now, and apparently Sekai did assure us that the projects will do fine for now so there's that. Now that Sekai did have some scandal here, they also list off some of their ongoing project at their site here, and out of all those updates the only thing that shown some clarity was Rewrite with the retranslation progress was at 35% (To me it's redundant project though). Let's just hoping that everything will work out somehow, especially for the projects that wasn't listed at the post (ie Majokoi, Harukuru, and Baldr Sky).
We did have Your Diary+ release back at last Friday on Steam. While the graphic for Your Diary itself is looking good, unfortunately the translation for that is pretty awful and there's no H scenes for that. As for my opinion here, I can try to tolerate the translation there but lack of H scenes will surely wouldn't do much favor to the people there. Oh and as for the translation, according to Pabloc back at VNDB it's worse than Konosora initial translation and for the note Pabloc himself was the one who retranslated Konosora, so if I may say here it would be need more than five years if one want to retranslate Your Diary (Konosora retranslation need almost five years to be finished). As for the removal of H scenes, while we knew that there's console version of this, Hobibox still don't have the excuse to only released all age version without 18+ patch because in Japan we also have Your Diary+ that was have the H scenes as well, and more importantly Hobibox could do it like the publisher nowadays (Did they didn't know either Fakku or Mangagamer?). In the end, I guess it;s a shame that we did get not so good release of Your Diary, considering that I find that the graphic itselves were quite nice to see.
    Fan Translation
A week after starting the project, the translator for Summer Pocket did have a plan to release the trial patch for that at 26th later. While obviously it wouldn't cover the translation up to the endings, at least it should be enough if we want to see of what kind of the translation that Summer Pockets will have. For the VN itself, I'll try to talk more about it later but let's just said that it's more or less could be treated as a tribute to KEY's past VNs with many similar plot points. As for Summer Pocket's progress, the common route translated line count was at 2,810 lines while for others 1,446 lines were translated, bring the total translated lines was at 4,256 lines (Out of 111,484 lines, so the percentage for translated lines of Summer Pockets was at 3.81% translated).
Other than Summer Pockets, we have Pure Pure was at 80.25% translated with Hibari's route was at 20.56% roughly translated, 264 out of 268 lines from Oreimo Tsuzuki were finalized, Eustia was at 49.76% translated along with 40.06% edited and 39.08% TLC-ed, and Harugi's was at 12% translated for the overall progress with Tonoko's route was at 31% translated along with Branch was at 23% translated (With additional progress was at 8% edited). We also have a word from Musumaker project in which apparently they already finished with the engine issue for inserting the text, so at least from there hopefully it should be easier if we talk about Musumaker engine work (Also interesting to note that the team will remove the mosaic for Musumaker). From Loverable, the translator himself say that the team will revised the translated scripts from the start and they'll remove the honorific from the translation later, so let's wait for the further news here. As for the current progress for Loverable, right now it was at 82.33% TLC-ed. I think that's all for the updates in regard of fan translation, and obviously we didn't have Otakon announcement for this section lol.
    Mangagamer
Before going to Otakon announcements from them, let me say congratulation for the release of short nukige Sweet Switch back at last Thursday. And of course seeing that Mangagamer like to announced the exact date for their next release after the current release for most of the time, this time obviously Mangagamer did announce the exact date for the next release. As for the next release in question, it is Tsui Yuri in which it'll be released at September 6th later. So congratulation of mod Dergonu in regard of the release here, and if you've been waiting Tusi Yuri for more than two years, take a note of the release date.
The first announcement from Mangagamer Otakon panel is shoujo ai VN Kotonoha Amrilato, which I'll like to call it Amrilato from now on. As for the premise, it was in regard of a girl (Rin) who mysteriously transferred to the another world where the sky that did have the eternal sunset color. After that, Rin obviously want to know what was happened and from there she met another girl (Ruka), in which the usual trope that everyone spoke Japanese even in another world didn't happen because Ruka only understand Japanese a tiny bit with her dominant language was the unknown language (Juliamo). Obviously with that circumstance both Rin and Ruka wouldn't be able to communicate very well, and of course the only solution is that Rin learn Juliamo. What make this VN unique is not the isekai premise, but rather Amrilato allow us to learn Juliamo language along with Rin in order to understand the world by ourself. While Juliamo language here is a fictive one, actually it was based on a real language called Esperanto in which some of the word in Juliamo should be familiar if one been learning Esperanto. I'll hope that the translator able to translate this properly, because it would be hard if one want to translate this properly if we'd looking from learning the foreign language aspect.
The second announcement is otome 18+ VN from Kalmia8 Horny Magical Princess (Or I'll call it Sukehime from now on, with 'suke' was shortened from 'sukebe' which mean pervert). The premise is that we have a cute alien came to the Earth in order to search for her husband, and after landing on the Earth she found two handsome virgin men who the alien think was good enough to be the alien husband candidates (Forget to said that since the alien spoke Japanese as well, there wouldn't be major communication problem between her and two handsome men just like Amrilato lol). Even though it's 18+ otome which in theory is interesting enough, unfortunately this is the least interesting announcements to me for now. But if you've been take a liking to Boukaku from the same developer, this should be an interesting announcement to you. Oh, and the alien girl herself (The MC for this VN) is far more cheerful compared to Boukaku's MC. Almost forget to say that the translator already translated 4% of it according to her Twitter here.
Their third announcement was surely came off as a surprise, considering that the company in question was already bankrupt. But seeing that I'd been wish the announcement since last year Otakon, the surprise is quite good to me here. As for the third announcement, it was Haretaka in which it was dubbed as the best Chuablesoft VN. The premise is more or less just like MoeNovel sky themed VNs though (Konosora and Miagete, but instead of glider or telescope we'll gonna have rocket here), but at least we knew that this is gonna be better release compared to MoeNovel one because the mere fact that Mangagamer will release it uncensored (ie include the H scenes). As for the progress right now it's been already fully translated and edited, so perhaps we'll gonna have Haretaka did the beta testing in near future. Anyway, while I did say that it's surprising that Mangagamer did announce Chuablesoft title in which as we know is a bankrupt company, Mangagamer did answer that they already have a talk with the new license owner for Chuablesoft, which automatically mean that they should already cleared the license problem for Suki Suki as well. Seeing that Suki Suki was still in beta testing, I hope that it'll be finished in the near future and after that they'll release it. Forget to say that actually it's not a new thing though that a work from bankrupt company released overseas, because in the past we have the examples of that from JAST (Romanesque and more recently Schatten).
The fourth announcement from them was another Alice Soft VN, and this time it's Escalayer in which we'll gonna have a magical girl going to fight of the evil organization to defend the peace of the town. While the premise is absolutely cliche with the same pattern as Haruka as well (Both Escalayer and Haruka did share the exact same gameplay with slight difference), this VN was obviously Quof's next project because Haruka is more or less a nukige (Interesting to see that this is the second time that Arunaru didn't involved himself in Alice Soft VN), and therefore Escalayer should be the nukige as well. While it might be a nukige here, actually it could be treated as the gameplay VN with merely had high sexual content because the sex in Escalayer (And Haruka) did improve the character status so the sex here is quite necessary. In the end, whether you want to call this a nukige or not is up to each people. As for the difference and the similarities with Haruka, I'll write about that later on.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
PS - As for the title, it should be obvious that it was an Esperanto language. Which in this case of the title, I simply translate the localized title for Haretaka (Farther Than the Blue Sky) into the Esperanto here.

littleshogun got a reaction from masster_auron for a blog entry, Fata Morgana no Meikyuu Review
Foreword - It appear that there's no VNTS for this week again perhaps because both of Decay and admin Tay were busy, so I decided to make another review here without VNTS itself. I hope that by the next week we'll have a VNTS at Fuwanovel main page.
Since we have Fata Morgana fandisc release and the main story of the fandisc is an event from the past just like both of Meikyuu and Sharin, I decided to just use the subtitle for Grisaia no Meikyuu here for the review so we have 'Fata Morgana no Meikyuu' for this week title. Which somehow could be more fitting if we consider that Fata Morgana story was starting from somewhere in French, and as we know Frontwing always using French subtitle for Grisaia trilogy there. As for this week, while the fan translation side here is quite lacking in addition with one of the project was officially localized, in turn we have a lot of Mangagamer announcements from both of their ACEN and usual monthly announcements, so I think it's somehow balanced at this week. That said other than Fata Morgana fandisc, there's no other major release for this week. Let's see what I can write for this week as well.
In regard of Tsundere Idol nukige, we go the exact date for the release in which it'll be at 28th later. While we should expect that they'll gonna release the 18+ patch for the Steam version, it's quite interesting though seeing that it's still managed to get the approval despite the controversy in regard of Steam attempt to take down some VNs at their store, and for the note all of the game that was about to be taken down is have some sex content. So when Tsundere Idol here manage to pass the test, I'm wonder if it'll have 18+ patch for Steam release as well considering that Steam apparently also banned 18+ patch as well. Of course we also gonna get 18+ version as well, so you don't need to worry whether the sex scenes would be cut or not. Other than Tsundere Idol exact release date announcement, we also have Newton VN both of fully translated and edited. With the translation process done, all what's left is that Sol Press need some Steam review before allowed to sell it at the Steam store. In wake of waiting for the Steam approval, unfortunately it's causing the release to be delayed to early June later. I just hope that the release would be going to be successful later.
From fan translation we got Eustia was at 43.46% translated along with both of TLC and editing was at 32.35%, Shin Koihime Musou was at 94% translated, and Pure Pure was at 73.47% translated with Hinata's route was at 85.21% translated. Usual updates aside, we also have surprise in form of Amayui prologue patch. As for my comment about this, apparently the group behind this is the one who responsible for some interface patch of Eushully VNs, and most importantly the group is not Nekohen in which is quite infamous with them machine translated Eushully VNs. That said even though the result of dialogue patch might not be satisfying for some people, personally I would like to keep my eyes close on this project if possible, and hopefully we'll have fully translated dialogue patch from Amayui.
We have Sekai's announcements at AX as well, and let's just said that only Sumire interest me a bit because of the graphic. For the info, the premise of Sumire is one MC who is always play galge online, only to have his relationship in real life with his online friend is a bit awkward before finally try to open up. While on paper the premise is sounding good, unfortunately from the reviews what I saw it's quite mixed to say the least so I kind of hesitate to play it later (The EGS score of Sumire is quite good though). For one more info, the creator of Sumire was also the one behind Narcissu and one of Sumire's character is also a character from Narcissu Sumire, so it's only inevtable that Sekai will localized this because it's from one group. There's also My GF is a Mermaid VN as well in which the title itself is obviously resembled Osadai localized title. What I knew is that this is a Korean VN that was only available for Switch, so I'm not quite interested with this. In regard of Bokukotsu, Sekai still waiting for Chinese script integration and Steam content, but at least Sekai tried to have it's released at this year, so let's just wait and see.
    Mangagamer
As for Mangagamer, most of this week announcement is come from them. But first of all let me say congratulation to mod Dergonu in regard of Tsui Yuri (Localized as Sisterly Bliss) announcement, because it's one of their announcement back at ACEN. As for the premise, it's just the twin sister who try to maintain their lover relationship while keep it secret from their mother. Graphically speaking, it's looking good so at least so I think it should be interesting enough, so good luck with the release later. We also have Kyonyuu Fantasy 2 (Localized at Funbag Fantasy 2) announcement which is good if you look forward to more Kyonyuu Fantasy, although to me it's just another nukige announcement though. Overall even with Tsui Yuri announcement, the announcements is just on the average side because usually Mangagamer tend to have bigger announcement at AX later, but at least it's new announcements so it's quite not too bad I suppose.
Even though the ACEN announcement itself is quite average, at least the bunch of Mangagamer updates look interesting enough to make it up, and looks like they'll indeed going monthly instead of two weeks each like in th past. Anyway as for Mangagamer monthly updates we get Tsui Yuri was both fully translated and edited (I would be surprised if the progress is still at 0% translated after one year of work to completed this), Kyonyuu Fantasy 2 was at 57% translated and 48% edited, Sona-Nyl was at 44% translated (Maybe I should expect that it'll be finished at July 2019 with this speed, and 2020 release for the soonest), Trinoline was at 95% translated and 64% edited, Rance quest was at 93% translated and 82% edited, Steam Prison was at 87% for both of translating and editing progress, and Amatarasu was at 84% translated and 19% edited.
Other than the updates, we also have both of Sengoku Rance and Hashihime about to enter the testing along with Japanese version of Koropukkur, while Evenicle is already finished with the testing and about to be have some editing process again. While unfortunately we still didn't have exact release date for Evenicle here, I think it could be possible that it'll be out at this year. Especially if we look at Mangagamer project list in regard of the VNs that already finished the testing (Evenicle, Damekoi, Sweet Switch, Bitter Exclusion, and Hapymaher). If we follow Mangagamer pattern here, I think right now all of those VNs were in queue to be released, and one of those could be announced at May 31st later along with Kuroinu release (I might be wrong in regard of this though). By the way from what I saw here each time Mangagamer released their VN it'll be followed by the announcement of next release exact date, so they should be announced something along with Kuroinu release looking from the pattern.
Once again the release for this week from Mangagamer was Fata Morgana fandisc, in which it'll depict some characters past along with the glimpse of the after story of main Fata Morgana. So if I may say here it's more or less just like Meikyuu, in which back at Meikyuu we also saw some characters past (Mainly our Grisaia MC Yuuji though). Although it's just the fandisc, it should be a nice treat for any Fata Morgana fan so you may get that if you interested with more Fata Morgana. Also just like the pattern that I explained before, Mangagamer announced the exact date for their other release in which it'll be at June 15th later, and the release in question is Tsumihoroboshi which is another part of Higurashi. With Tsumihoroboshi here,l now we already have three quarter of original Higurashi retranslated, and it also mean that we'll gonna have Tsumihoroboshi voiced with PS3 graphic later.
That's all for this week, and see you next week.

littleshogun got a reaction from masster_auron for a blog entry, Chuusotsu Graduation Album Review
    Visual Novel Translation Status (05/06/2018)
Foreword - It's good that we finally have VNTS again, although currently admin Tay schedule is quite chaotic though so there's no guarantee that we'll gonna have VNTS next week, but at least Decay promised us that he'll do his best to keep VNTS alive even though he warn us that he might not be able to do that at every week.
For the title, since we have Chuusotsu released back at almost two weeks ago, I decided to make this week review title as sort of the tribute for the title so we have 'Chuusotsu Graduation Album for this week, because any graduation should at least have some graduation album and Chuusotsu here it's not the exception - because after all they have Chuusotsu! 1st graduation as the game title. I knew that this week image header was Luce from Marrigae though. Of course what I'll be writing here is not the graduation album, but rather this week VNTS Review like usual. As for this week, well it's getting calmer after a bunch of releases at last week and this time we don't have any update from Sekai, but instead we got one release from JAST which is somehow balanced I guess. Lack of update from our Sekai, at least we still have updates from fan translation with Tsurezure be active again, so more or less it's just another usual week in regard of the update. Let's see what I can write for this week as well.
While it's good that we finally have JAST give us the release, unfortunately it's not a bombastic title like Muramasa or Majikoi, or if we want to be more down to earth Flowers Summer. But instead what we got is that we have Sweet Home nukige which is their first release at 2018 here. Say whatever you like about JAST if you support them here, but the fact is that currently even Sekai was outrun JAST with the releases here. Not to mention that Sekai's Fatal Twelve is certainly more interesting compared to Sweet Home. Granted comparing nukige to shoujo ai story VN is just like comparing apple and orange, but what I want to say is that even Sekai managed to JAST beat at this year in term of releases, and let's not compare Mangagamer to JAST here in which the former did release more interesting nukige (Sideboob). Back to Sweet Home, the premise is just an university student MC going back to his home because his apartment is burnt and find out that his house became girls boarding house, and MC managed to have sex with the girls whose boarding there. Have fun though if you interested with Sweet Home nukige.
As for Momoclo Steam version, finally Frontwing did have the exact date for the release and it'll be at tomorrow so just in case you want Steam version may as well note the date. Other than Momoclo, Frontwing also delayed Sharin release to this month although for now they still won't be so sure about that though, hopefully they'll be able to sort out the release date. As for Tayutama 2, once again very unexpectedly the release was delayed and this time apparently it would be released at this month, in which obviously we don't know if it'll become true or not. We also have Venus Blood Frontier KS, which apparently still in planning so for now we didn't know whether it'll be successful or not - keep in mind that KS usually quite adverse with sex scenes, and Venus Blood franchise is quite infamous with tentacle rape (They released English demo as the translation sample). There's Princess Maker 5 released at Steam as well, and I can only say it's redundant release because we already have it released as fan translated VN.
For the last updates, we have Fureraba released at Steam store in which too bad that there's no PSV exclusive CG ported to the Steam version. Nekonyan also have stated that they'll focusing on working at both of Hello Good Bye (HGB) and Sanoba so that they'll be able to release those two VNs in certain months (HGB for August and Sanoba for October). If anything, even if they say that the current release month was delayed from their previous targets, at least now we have almost exact release date so we didn't need to wildly guess as much as before - they'll probably going for the months end in regard of the release time.
We have Eustia was at 41.07% translated along with 29.62% edited and 29.25% TLC-ed, Loverable was at 37.47% edited, Harugi's prologue was at 92% translated and one third (33%) edited, Pure Pure Hinata's route was at 81.66% translated and overall was at 72.66% translated, and Witch Garden was at 45% translated. As for LxC 2, unfortunately our Quof right now is swamped with a lot of official projects (Five VNs translation projects for the record) and not to mention that his hacker was recently is getting busier, so as for now LxC 2 is stalled for time being (I just hope that Quof will find the solution for his problem). For the last news, finally after one month and half of absence we have Tsurezure released HatsuKoi append which translate both of Kyou's and Maya's short after story, and for their next plan they'll going to do some rereading + a bit re-TLC at HatsuKoi first translated routes (Common, Midori's and Runa's) alongside their work to translated Yukino's short after story. After all of those finished, they'll going with their work to translate Hoshiori in which personally I hope it'll be happen in near future.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
PS - In regard of Higurashi PS3 exclusive arc port, congratulation on Tsukiotoshi patch release and for the next work the translator will work on Taraimawashi which apparently is a short arc. The translator said that it'll be possible if he managed to release Taraimawashi patch by the end of June here.

The translator said that it'll be possible if he managed to release Taraimawashi patch by the end of June here.

littleshogun got a reaction from masster_auron for a blog entry, Wedding Luce Review
Foreword - Because there's no VNTS at this week, I decided to make my own VNTS Review post again. Hope you enjoy it, and I'm apologize in advance if I miss some updates.
This week title is based on Mangagamer big release Magical Marriage Lunatics, and because in the past we also have another wedding theme anime (Wedding Peach) I decide to modify the anime title by simply changing the 'Peach' part with one of Marriage's heroine (Luce), so we have 'Wedding Luce' as my VNTS Review title for this week. Back to the review, as for this week actually there's a lot of releases so I can say that it's one of the better week compared to the past weeks. However while some of the releases is quite good, to me it's only another week here because most of the releases are the one that I'm look forward into, or to be exact I must wait for a while longer to see the releases that I look forward. Let's see what I can write for this week as well, and as for JAST release I'll cover about that in my next VNTS Review.
Since I talk about Luce at the title, I'll go with Mangagamer first. As we know, their latest release is Marriage in which we gonna have our MC Yuuta gonna need to deal with his forgotten wedding pacts from another dimensions. The reason is because according to the story if someone going to another dimension and then leave, the memory of the particular dimension will be erased. To be honest the synopsis make Yuuta here is looks like the biggest playboy at his childhood for being able to made him had six wedding promises with the heroines even though Yuuta himself was unwillingly to do most of the promise, so people may be misunderstand the story (Including me to be honest). While the amnesia plot device can alleviated the implication that Yuuta is a playboy in his childhood, it's still not quite right though because it mean that Moonstone here is didn't really think much about the plot, especially when the plot is concerning marriage. Then again, it's Moonstone that we talk about and it's not quite surprising if we remember that they also did the same mistake with Imopara 2, so I guess no much we can do other than enjoy the harem at Marriage. Also just in case you're waiting for Kuroinu last part (Not me), be happy because Mangagamer did announce the exact release date for that in which is at 31st later.
As for Sekai, my reaction more or less can be concluded in one sentence 'Why they released Nekonin 2 instead of Suzukaze no melt?' - feel free to make a drinking game if you feel that I'm hoping that Sekai should announced Suzukaze no Melt too often lol. Yeah they released Nekonin 2, in which they quite fast at that because if I remember they just release the Japanese version back at March. If only they using this kind of speed to release something like either Baldr Sky or Nanairo then it would be very good, or even just Daybreak is fine as well. Oh well, guess reality it's not always nice here if we talk about Sekai.
As expected Sol Press did delay Sakusakura release, because I already suspected that the date at Steam store was only the placeholder, and according to the update they still working on the resolution increasing work. Let's just hope that they'll be able to release it in near future. Speaking about delay, Momoclo Steam version is also have that as well although at least Momoclo did have 18+ release so people who want to play Momoclo can finally play it. I'm quite confused about this though lol. Other than Momoclo, Frontwing also have another plan in which they'll release Sharin at this month (May), and obviously we still didn't have the exact date for that yet. We also have Aksys Games release one otome (Kokuchou no Psychedelica), and two planned release for otome VN - 7'scarlet at 25th later and Haitaka no Psychedelica at June 29th later. To me it's the least favorite announcements because of the obvious reason, but if you like otome and have PSV then be happy with the announcements here.
This week we also have Umikana release, which as expected it's just a short VN so it mean that the heroines might be not fully developed compared to the writer's previous works (Konosora and Miagete). Other than the length issue, I think Umikana here could be a first step for Pulltop to finally released all age VN in their homeland (Japan), although ironically they already got the bad reputation to overseas because of that though lol - for the reminder both of localized Konosora and Miagete did have the H scenes cut, and Lovekami spinoffs re-released in Japan with H scenes addition. I just hope that after this release Pulltop will stop their infamous localization policy, although it may be hard to change though.
This week we didn't have the updates from both of Pure Pure and Musumaker project, because the translators for both project is basically pretty busy at this week. So for the roundup of usual fan translation for other than those two here we have Eustia was at 40.6% translated along with 29.49% edited, Loverable was at 36.42% edited, Shin Koihime Musou was at 28% translated, and Harugi's prologue was at 80% translated along with 40% TLC-ed and 30% edited. Other than usual updates, back at VNDB we got some sort of update from Chaos Child translation port, namely that the almost completed the process of the porting (CGs work, revising the translation, and some engine work) and therefore is closed to be finished - apparently in a couple of weeks although it might be longer though.
That all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
PS - I did forgot about Chuusotsu release here lol, but I guess better late than never in regard of conglaturary message here. Congratulation to Fruitbat in regard of Chuusotsu release, and I hope that it'll be successful. As for the VN itself I say that this is one of interesting VN, although the fact that this is the first psrt of the series is make me hesitate though. About that, I just hope that we'll see translated Chuustosu sequel in the future. But if you already tried Chuusotsu and like it, have fun.
