  1. Hello and welcome! AkabeiSoft is awesome.
  2. Visual novels. They're books with music and art where you can choose what your character does. What more could you want?
  3. Hello and welcome!
  4. Hello and welcome! Favorite VN so far?
  5. Taste IS a personal thing. I was saying that I approved of his taste.
  6. It looks like it could be Erio from Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko, but I'm not positive.
  7. I'm officially done watching anime, but I have to say that Kikou Shoujo wa Kizutsukanai looks pretty interesting. I may have to make an exception.
  8. But Urobuchi is amazing~ (His VNs anyways. Haven't watched any of his anime but Madoka, which is overrated). I do agree with Wahfuu that Clannad is overrated. But let's not forget about the most overrated anime of all time (save Naruto and the rest of those insanely long shows with tons of filler that have a lot of fans for some reason): Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu. Underrated: ef - A Tale of Memories. An amazing romance that needs more love.
  9. Hello and welcome! Sounds like you have a good taste. Saya no Uta and G-senjou are amazing.

    Hi

    Hello and welcome!

    Hai

    Hello and welcome!
  12. I can imagine that a lot of VNs centered around dating idols have bodyguard protagonists. So if you want a VN with one, I suggest looking at the idol-centric VNs first.
  13. I too loved Wanko to Kurasou. I expected it to be simply cute fluff, but it ended up being so much more than that. I haven't really read anything else like it, but there's a VN called Pure Pure that's English patch is currently 100% translated and 77% edited that will be released soon. It sounds a lot like Wanko.
  14. Ha ha, there as a scene like that in Kara no Shoujo too. The MC was telling a high school student about time he spent with his wife, and there was an H-scene during the flashback. I just assumed that the scene was there for fanservice, and he didn't actually include it in the story he was telling, but you never know...
  15. I'm with sanahtlig, I hate fluff. Watching fluff I can tolerate, but reading it? Ugh. However, I can enjoy fluff if I love the characters and/or it's genuinely funny (though I rarely find VNs funny). For example, I really loved the fluff scenes in Dra+KoI.
  16. I think I'm one of the only people who never liked the chuuni genre. The one chuuni show I ever liked was Sailor Moon, and that was when I was eight. The idea of an average teenager becoming amazing and magical overnight is just ridiculous in my opinion. I do, however, have a history liking things that are ridiculous; for example, I love the infamously bad Harry Potter fanfic "My Immortal". It's one of those "so bad it's good" things for me I guess.
  17. G-senjou and Sharin don't have any gameplay...
  18. Hello and welcome! Shuffle! was my first VN too. It isn't the best game, but it is a good introduction to VNs.
  19. That may be the case for some fans. I personally dislike the art because the thing that attracted me to anime in the first place was the adorable art. Don't get me wrong, I'm not one of those people who agree with 3DPD; people IRL can be cute too. In anime though, you can have characters who look "perfect" and the cutest they can look. Aku no Hana is the opposite of that, it feels like they made the characters as ugly and unappealing as they could possibly be.
  20. I agree, Fuuko is definitely the cutest.
  21. Hello and welcome!
  22. Simple: people read all of the comments about how Alternative is the best thing ever and pure perfection. They download the first game and instead of getting the epic story they expected they get... a typical school life harem. I read all the hate about Extra so I knew what to expect. I personally dislike it because I'm not a slice-of-life person and I've seen enough anime to be bored to death by all the overused character "personalities".
  23. Hello and welcome!
  24. If you enjoy mystery and/or battles of wits, play G-senjou first.
  25. Nagisa's after story in Clannad is what I consider their best, but I personally view Makoto's arc in Kanon my favorite.
