Yandere is pretty dark and has some mystery elements, but there is a lot of ero. If you like dark stuff it's worth a shot.

If Dangan Ronpa had romance in it, it would be perfect. It already seems to be dark and involves characters being murdered, so it does come close for me.

I've found a few on Youtube, and I know that OdysseyEurobeat (http://www.youtube.com/user/OdysseyEurobeat) may be planning on remixing some songs from Dangan Ronpa.

I'm interested in how the VN industry is doing in Japan. Are VNs gaining popularity or loosing it? Also, I've noticed a lot of new members on this forum saying that Fuwanovel inspired them to start playing VNs, which makes me happy.

I don't really care, but I like it when the MC has a voice. It means that the player isn't supposed to pretend that they are the MC, which is something that always annoyed me about some VNs.

If you liked Rewrite you may like some other games by Key. Clannad is considered their best, Kanon is up there too, and the English patch of Air just came out. -
I'm asexual so I don't really care much for ero, but I remember Kara no Shoujo having some well-written ones.
