Does muvluv actually install with anyhthing else on 64-bit? I think Kendjin was having trouble with some other program as DT did some emulation or w/e, but not sure really. Some fuwan releases actually include a DT lite copy, and iirc the version is fairly high. Might want to look into it (YU-NO uses 4.46.whatever, etc.)

Guys, you should be less angry about any h-related thing, more about the silly forced start of that drama --especially since there is restoration and stuff. I'm not exactly experienced in hacking, but they'd probably try sending requests trying to find out what they can about your setup. They probably need to find some kind of program that accepts their input running on your end, that also has a vulnerability - something about it that the hacker can use to do stuff on your computer. Probably gets complicated these days, might also be harder given that many people are behind routers which often effectively act as a firewall.

Depends. Truth is, just an IP address isn't likely to be that much help (although it's an obvious first step), and they're probably not getting much more. You give that address out every time you connect to a website, to the host of some games (like wc3 rooms), etc. To actually hack, you need to find a vulnerability, which isn't necessarily the easiest thing ever. The real threat probably lies in your web browser most of the time

Yup. Basically you call the torrent dead when that happens. One of the cool things about fuwan's torrents is that we have seedboxes, dedicated storage-and-torrenting computers (or parts of computer time usually) with high speeds, usually controllable remotely. Sometimes there will only be one pathetically slow seeder (as was the case with the nyaa lamune torrent) but it can get much more well seeded after a few people get it.

You upload what you downloaded from the torrent when seeding. Technically this sometimes happens whiledownloading as well depending on settings (and this might make your download faster if you allow it, depending on stuff.) Seeding continues after you stop leeching, the download part. If you want to continue seeding, it is recommended to pause the torrent, copy the game files somewhere else so you can use that copy without problems, then restart the torrent. Seeding is good practice in general, is what might get you in trouble with the law on the unlikely event of some torrent trolls checking shit on the other hand.

I hear Umineko is different in tone from Higurashi. All I've done is read the higurashi vn series though.

VLC uses a different thingy (libass) to render subtitles than the usual, and generally fansub groups do their subbing assuming the normal thing (vsfilter/xy-vsfilter) is being used. This can result in compatibility issues. There might be video stuff as well, idk. These days, KCP works pretty well; tried multiple of those guides and they are a huge pain. KCP more or less does the same thing as the usual MPC-HC guides, potentially excepting a few micro-optimizations (and you can change those later if you want.) Now, there was a time where it was apparently very outdated componentwise. This is no longer the case. Recommended~ Note the LAV filter / compatibility problems section, as it mentions VNs. I'm not sure if you even need to use the LAV filters for anything, though. You don't really need to worry about ratios on bakabt if you aren't using an account there, and while they disable the search function for unregistered users, googling the name + bakabt practically always works.

Trying to get the frames to actually display with the proper delay, idk if gimp's export is gaying me or it's jut that nothing's displaying it properly In retrospect it's pretty funny how this made us rush to make gifs, gifs animation preview is doing fine but it's fucking up after export sigh. edit: turns out it was just me checking something rather obviously wrong.
