Yeah after searching around the net and reading a few reviews I dropped JM and started Eustia. I probably made the right choice. Vndb lists it as "long" but I'm hoping it's not epicly long like MuvLuv was.

Got this just for DS3, since I enjoyed the fuck out of 2. Gave away my copy of MoH though, I don't need another dudebro shooter. Mirror's Edge is also excellent but I've already played it.

3rd Birthday, Growlanser: Wayfarer of Time and occasionally Dissidia 012. I mostly just game on my PSP these days, trying to work my way through my massive backlog for the console.

Trying to decide between Jingai Makyou, Aiyoku no Eustia and MuvLuv Alternative Chronicles 02. For now I decided to start Jingai Makyou and see how much it grabs me.

Most recently I was dabbling in the Skullgirls Beta on Steam. And before that I beat Shadowrun Returns. All this Saints Row 3 talk is making me want to do another playthrough of it now.

So I played this last summer when it came out but the repetitiveness of the desert area made me quit. Worth getting back into/did anything change?

For me Persona 4 was miles better than 3. I liked the characters more, the murder mystery aspect of the story was more appealing to me and I preferred the rural setting/atmosphere.

I prefer to have a voiced MC, it makes the experience feel more complete/natural when you actually hear the back and forth dialogue between hero and other characters. With a silent protagonist, things feel... very one-sided. Not sure how else to explain it.

Edit: Nevermind what I said here, I completely misread a previous post. Gotta have my eyes checked. In any case, I wish you luck with the project.

Have to agree on Makoto. Not a big fan of Shirou, either, but I don't particularly hate him.

Yeah, I do think soundtracks are essential. They can easily make the enjoyment of a scene skyrocket, if they're used at the right time. My favorite has to be the song "Uzuki" from Muramasa, it kicks in at the start of one of the most important fight scenes in the game and makes the entire experience pretty orgasmic. I also like MLA's opening by Jam Project, but I see it's already been mentioned.

Meiya. She was by far the best character in all three games IMO. Not a big fan of Sumika honestly. =P

Finished MLA (epilogue was a letdown but otherwise an awesome VN) and moved onto Alternative Chronicles 01, more specifically MLU The Day After.

Having read the VN I can confirm the above. There's only one ending in MLA, what you pick doesn't really matter.

As the title says, I'm curious if there are any good fantasy VNs out there. And by fantasy I mean swords, castles, magic, elves (optional), all that stuff. Well, it can be purely medieval as well, but you get the idea. It can be dark or more light-hearted, I'm not too picky. I'm interested in both JP-only and translated titles. I did some quick research and apparently Ikusa Megami Zero and Aiyoku no Eustia are supposed to be good ones. Any other ones I should be aware of?
