  1. Confession: I have learned tonight that I am terrible at bar trivia. I used to be good at "academic" trivia stuff in high school and college, so it's kind of disappointing. Anybody have a good "weird news" source that I can keep up with, so I can at least do well on the "current events"? Edit: Wow, I almost never use scare quotes, but apparently I just went to town on them in this post. ... I'm sure that says something about my feelings towards the bar trivia thing, but I don't really know how to interpret it.
  2. I could take it or leave it. Next person thinks Aniki's signature is basically the best thing ever.
  3. Excellent. I'm even happier at the idea of New Game+ (I didn't know it existed) than at the idea of continuing on after the battle. Though now I have to wonder what the last day is on which I can finish the fight without getting a bad ending... ahh, well, it will all be revealed soon enough.
  4. Anime - Steins;Gate Manga - didn't read lol Light novels - have only read a couple, but probably the Haruhi Suzumiya series Visual Novels - Little Busters! Band - Tough question, and it changes every year or so... right now, maybe Owl City? Music - no favorite genre
  5. Good, good. I've been playing the heck out of Ayesha. It is so very good. I think I just beat the last story boss in my last session - I'm currently watching cutscene after cutscene, and hoping that the game gives me plenty of time after completing the main arc to go make all the awesome stuff I still want to make and beat up all the optional badass monsters I have left to beat up (and hopefully some other postgame stuff).
  6. True dat. The voice actor for Milla in Tales of Xillia has a weird minor lisp, though, which I remember drove me nuts for an hour or two... but I got over it. Aside from those two things, I've only thought well of Tales games dubs (including Vesperia, Graces F, and both Xillia games)
  7. I'm going to Sakura-Con this weekend. I went last year as well, but I was a little nervous about it. I ended up hitting up a couple panels (actually maybe only one?), and spent most of my time wandering the floor, looking at cool fan art, cosplay, etc. This year, I'm a bit more comfortable with the whole thing, and I'm actually putting together a little "schedule" of four or five panels that I want to see. The Sekai Project industry panel and the subsequent Visual Novel panel are at the top of my list Exactly. With a hobby that's a little bit out there like anime/manga/VNs/generic otakudom, it's an incredible experience to realize that literally everybody around you wants to talk about it, immerse themselves in it, revel in it just as much as you do.
  8. Interesting... But it's a little bit busy most of the time, and a little bit iffy at others. It did serve to remind me that I really like both the original and the Gldemo versions, though
  9. Working!! has a lot going for it. I didn't especially like Inami at first, but she grew on me pretty fast, and while neither Kyoko nor Todorochi is my favorite, the entire rest of the cast is amazing, especially the whole Takanashi family. Things definitely do progress, but slowly and naturally. I've been avoiding watching Season 2 ever since finishing Season 1, just so I have the constant anticipation of being able to watch it for the first time. Regarding Chunibyo, here's a few scattered thoughts. Gonna put it under spoiler just in case people want to maintain total ignorance, though I'm not going to say anything specific: Spice and Wolf gets off to a slow start, for certain, but it sounds like you probably have a larger problem than just the show. Do your best!
  10. Confession: Because most of the elevators in my apartment building were out due to some storm, and because I didn't feel like waiting forever to get on a super-crowded elevator, I decided it would be a good idea to climb the 21 stories to my apartment today. A brief synopsis of my odyssey: - Floor 6. Really feeling the burn in the calves. - Floor 10. Noticeably breathing hard. - Floor 15. So *pant* out *pant* of breath *pant*. Let me catch my *pant* breath for a few *pant* seconds - Floor 18. What the hell *gasp* is wrong with me *gasp* - Floor 20. Basically pulling myself up the remaining steps using the handrails. - Floor 21. Gasp for air while slowly limping from the landing to my apartment. - In my apartment: Pour a glass of water, gasp for air for a few minutes, and reflect on how ridiculously bad I am at handling elevation gain. Running for a mile or two: not even breathing hard. Running uphill, climbing more than 3 flights of stairs, etc.: nope nope nope.
  11. False. But thank you for the reminder that I really need to get some plants in my apartment. Next person usually ends up looking randomly around their room for inspiration for what "next person" is doing when posting in the True/False thread.
  12. Still no more reviews on Steam beyond that one that was put up near the first day... I'm counting on you guys! Either that or I'll play it myself and review it. But first, I probably have ~20 hours of F/SN left to play...
  13. False, since I don't read manga. But if I were reading a manga, that'd probably still be false; I'd probably be reading some lighthearted shoujo rom-com. Even I don't know why. Next person has something interesting planned for April 1st.
  14. declaimed to be
  15. lewd carnival tricks
  16. True! Love, Chunibyo, and Other Delusions was beautiful (and anyone who doesn't like that translation of the title is too finicky). Next person can juggle.
  17. Holy shit how did I almost miss the best thread ever. ワン
  18. a falling whale
  19. I don't think I've ever even seen a Pokemon card. So, false. Next person sometimes checks to see if they have developed magical powers (even as rarely as once every few years).
