Bunny Black 2 Early Impressions and Helpful Info
Abyssal Monkey replied to EcchiOujisama's topic in Visual Novel Talk
The first Bunny Black was easy balls once you figured out how the systems worked and interacted with eachother. Like Cerualean did, I played on Abandon All Hope and still crushed the game. Albeit it was after playing for about an hour on the easiest difficulty to steamroll the early parts to see the mechanisms, after restarting on AAH, crushing the game is simple with the right starting prep. I don't expect this game to be all that different. As for the treasure, I don't think it spawned infinitely in the first game either, once you went through a map of a certain floor and picked up the treasure in that specific spot, returning to that floor later, the treasure would still be gone. As a side note, where were the save files for the first game. I have a sneaking suspicion I might have deleted them when I formatted my hard drive. -
Love ya Kami. You know, I think I mentioned forgetting Christmas somewhere in the confessions thread before. This time is was my own birthday. Thanks for reminding me google. I woke up this morning and Google greeted me with cake. Wonderful.

This has been happening to me frequently, now included. The only solution seems to be as Segai previously suggested: waiting. The problem is that the time may be excessive, as I haven't been able to access it in over 90 minutes.

I haven't played with this before, but last time I tried teamviewer, there was both horrible compression and terrible lag. While I'm not sure how much nVidia has managed to mitigate lag, I highly doubt there is anywhere near as much compression from them if they wanted this service to be reliable. There is also the added fact that by using this system, you are not going through a third party server and introducing all the complications that that might entail. Judging by how they let you use the localIP instead of an external IP or account based system, it is highly likely you can disconnect your computer from the internet and still use the service. In just every respect, this looks like a better qualitative solution at a glance than teamviewer.

Harem anime with romantic harem ending

So Heavy Object this week was fun as usual. The CO Frolatia is quickly becoming my favorite character in that series. She knows she has a dynamite body, and she completely flaunts it. You know that when she does something sensual, it's completely on purpose and that she is purposely looking for amusing reactions. I can't help but feel that she torments the duo and cock blocks them on purpose only to blackmail them about it later like she did in this episode with the 'exchange'. It was really abundantly clear that she had planned this out long beforehand. GATE this week is amusing to say the least. They finally fixed that remedy with Itami not having Rory's contract that should have been established during the inn scene in Japan in the first season, and I think my favorite line has come out of this episode as well.

Great, this gives me the chance to kill all the moege in that list and go for action/chuuni. can go to hell! We need more action/chuuni translated. Jast is the only one who officially does them, and all the rest were fanTL'd. Take a look at the current tl's over in the other forums and all you see is romance. Down with moege, gimme something with action. Then again, I'm learning JP so I don't have to deal with all the moeshit coming out. Christ, even the OELVN is tainted.

Faggots can do as faggots please, just don't include me in it. The moment you try to get me to support you're cause I'll very harshly oppose it and make sure it fails. At that point you are shoving your beliefs on me like some evangelist. Those fuckers can go die for all I care.

Yes, but when the car is 70F(~21C), having the window fog up should never happen, especially when the window was around another 5F hotter. It wasn't the inside of the car that was the issue either, it was the outside. I had to wait for the outside to stop fogging up. What had to have happened was that the car was warm enough for low speed (~20mph) driving, but the wind chill facotr of driving at 60 while merging caused the temperature to drop far enough to allow for condensation. Again, I hate this vehicle in the winter.

A wonderful update just happened related to this. So when I was closing up, a black man walks in, and starts talking to me saying things like "Yo, I heard you said some things to my girl", "You better watch what you say" and (passive?) aggressive things like that. I told him I had no clue who he was or what he was talking about. It only hit me as I was locking the door that he was the boyfriend of the girl that I told to leave weeks prior. I laughed my ass back across the street. My parents replied with, "In a few days for your birthday, we'll just get you a concealed carry permit" with a totally nonchalant attitude. I'm just going to resort to carrying a knife from now on. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I'll be all too happy to clean up this neighborhood. If he comes in again and touches me, he'll be in the hospital missing an appendage or two. As an addendum, a few days after this quote, she was there again at closing time, and I straight up told her, "It is now closing time, you have 30 minutes to finish up your business and vacate". She got sassy with me with "You can't tell me what to do", probably as a result of what had happened previously, validating everything I had stated. When she replied back, I told her that if she wasn't gone after 30 minutes, "I will fucking turn off the breakers", and then left. Apparently, she went and found my aunt, which means she KNEW her, and complained about me. This is probably what lead to the above incident.

What antivirus are you running and what other games might be running in the background. If you are sure that you installed it properly and it wasn't read-only (I can't read spanish, or whatever language that is), then a program might be blocking it instead. Out of curiosity, see if you cant move the entire folder out of that folder and somewhere else.

Phantom world is being wonderful as usual. It is turning into EXACTLY the type of show I expected, and I'm enjoying it greatly. Admittedly, its incredibly stupid, but that doesn't make it any less enjoyable. I really don't know about Gifting. The DEEN quality assurance is really hitting the show hard. There is also the issue that I feel the voices are slightly off. Like Aqua and Darkness sound and look way, way too adult. I really didn't know what I expected, DEEN does pretty meh work. If I had to say anything, it is like the show is animated for 8 year olds, rather than 13+ like it should be.I'm for sure not finishing, but I am glad my opinion about DEEN still stands: average at it's best.

I don't know where they came from. Confession: I fucking hate my car in the winter. If my rant about it yesterday wasn't obvious, today I warmed the car for 20 minutes, but the second I hit the highway, the window fogs up again and FREEZES. I had to pull off into the emergency lane and let it sit for ANOTHER 20 MINUTES before it stopped. Fucking piece of shit made me 15 minutes late for class.
-
With this fucking snow, 2", and the shitty city services, the I skipped class. The pros of skipping class including having a drive-able car and no ticket on my record far out weigh the negatives of skipping class which is limited to missing a few quiz points. That isn't to say I didn't try though. Confession: I really wish I had a fixed 4WD vehicle right now. It's one fix and it's good to go.

What Video Games Are You Playing Right Now?
Abyssal Monkey replied to solidbatman's topic in Gaming Talk
Finally got more time on my hands to play Zenosaga again. Just started part 3 I think. Holy shit the voice acting and other things. I don't know if it is bad translation, but hearing "little master" with a southern accent is really bothering. It's like they failed translating Goshujin-sama and they are flaunting it around. Other inconsistencies are irksome too, but I get the feeling this one is going to grind me for the rest of the game. Story is still ramping up and I have no idea what to expect, but one thing I have noticed in battles is how vain KOS-MOS is. One of her victory quotes is "My appearance is down 5%, Shion I need cleaning." and the only thing that goes through my mind is "what, you got a little oil from the robots you are murdering on you?" I also like to think she is incredibly dominant, and her telling Shion to clean her is more of a command rather than a debug thing. 5% -
The real tragedy in the pic.

Clearly haven't visited the hentai thread. We make it a point to raise up our favorites. All you need to do is read in between the lines a smidgen and it becomes blatantly obvious where our loyalties lie.

Reinforcing the beautiful myths about katanas
Abyssal Monkey replied to Darklord Rooke's topic in General Discussion
The problem is scythes are completely impractical as weapons. When they were used, they had the blade turned upright akin to a spear. Dark Souls and many other medium seeming manage to perpetuate this terrible idea that they are good for slashing like a sword. Dark Souls scythe for all purposes is a staff with a nail offset on an end: you either whack them with the stick and use it as a blunt weapon, or you shove the pointy part through them. Have you even thought for a moment how a scythe is used in farming? In many ways, you would use a scythe like a back handed dagger than a sword. Please get your hopes and dreams ruined, and start thinking about practical weapons, like metal tipped pens. I can guarantee 10 minutes in pondering the best way to stab someone with the items in your pocket will be more useful than learning/yearning to wield medieval weaponry. -
Here Pretty much. I'm honestly completely flabberghasted that they are going for 2 episode volumes. Looking strictly at the show, it makes the main character seem like he is meant to be some sort of side character who only appears for the fights. They basically turned Phi into a throw in character instead of actually developing her, AT ALL. How much of the first volume you think they've adapted? It honestly feels like the number is hovering around 40% which is fucking abysmal.

I just watched Bahamut after waking up. Is this going to be 2 episode volumes? WHAAAAAT? This terrifies me. They skipped quite a lot in the second episode. The first episode wasn't entirely noticeable from what I remember, but they skipped the entire explanation about Lux's dragride in the second during that fight. This bears ill tidings on the reliability of the adaptation. That said, I'm still going to watch it, then wait for the LN to catch up. It's still pretty okay in terms of fighting scenes. It's not awful, but it still passes. It seems Lerche doesn't know how to build up tension with the fights, and that's the biggest pit fall. In the two fights they've displayed until now, the buildup has been like a minute, and then they execute it in under 3 seconds. There is no payoff, it's akin to "yeah okay, I have this. SUPER MEGA BUSTER!!!" and then the fight ends. I can't help but feel if they didn't mince that fight scene and actually had that talk in there for pacing, it would have played out much, much, better. I guess the show is doing it's job, it's making me want to go back and reread the LN so I can at least rip the direction of the show to shreds.

Sekai Project To Release GATE Manga In The West
Abyssal Monkey replied to Nosebleed's topic in Anime/Manga Talk
What are the chances this falls into the trap of not releasing fast enough. I can stand crunchy as they do near simultaneous releases, but I really don't know about this. They seem to be attempting to release by tank instead. I really hope this doesn't end up like Yenpress and their Light Novel which we will never see the end of due to their slow release dates. I can only hope that they start putting them out quicker than release to catch up, otherwise I can forsee issues appearing and complaints from people who have read the translated releases up to current. No one wants to wait a year or more to finally read the next chapter in a story that could have been out the next month. The other thing I'm worried about is their translation. I'd love to believe in Sekai, but having no personal experience, other than knowing that they had Koestl do Grisaia, I'm somewhat worried. Translators are really hit and miss, even within companies. This being a start of the manga venture gives me some hope of the quality control, but you never know. -
Confession: After getting back in to the swing of things, Multivariable calculus is fun. Yay maths. Honestly, nothing much has been happening in my life even though school started.

I remember playing open beta of PSO2. Back when only the interface was translated? Ahhhh yis. Then SOJ went on a banning spree, and IP range blocking, which basically wiped the US population. From what I played though, I don't see how they intend to turn it into a good anime. It didn't seem to have that strong of a story from just the sparse amount of dialogue and even fewer cut scenes. Then again, I think they had only just released act 2 when I stopped playing
