So, when does it start getting really good? Because i'm a good 40 episodes in, and almost to the Yorknew arc. And while it's certainly not bad, it's not really living up to the hype that surrounds it. Is it just a slow burner, like One Piece? And most every other long running shonen?

I'd probably care more if it was a series I actually played, but it's ridiculous nonetheless. On another note, pre-order only DLC is satan, especially when they follow through with it and don't release it afterwards. I'm still salty i'll never be able to play SSJ4 Vegeta in DB Xenoverse

I heard about this, though I had previously pre-ordered it from Kinguin so even if I was able to get more copies for cheap i'd just end up giving them away or using them as trade bait for other games

I caught up to the manga a few weeks ago after finishing the anime on the same day, and I must say, I have never marathoned an anime so hard in my life. It was a bit of a slow start, but I still feel the beginning had a lot of charm to it, and looking back, there is a LOT of foreshadowing that happens early on. With all the hate that it gets, I was expecting to be at least a little disappointed, but nope, it's easily one of my top 10 favorite series at this point. I even enjoyed some of the filler. To think that I overlooked this for so long because of that 4kids dub when I was a kid...

Wait, should I watch the 90's one or the 2011 one? I'm partially into the first episode of the 2011 version, but I remember some stuff from the first episode/episodes of the 90's one and it seems to have completely cut out the part where Gon meets the long haired guy and has the whole thing with the bears.

Katawa Shoujo or Comyu, probably the former. Mainly because Katawa Shoujo is what got me into VN's, so I owe a lot to it. That and I loved how they handled the girls' disabilities, not shoving it in your face like "HEY, THESE GIRLS ARE DISABLED, FEEL BAD FOR THEM AND LOVE THEM". Also because Hanako is forever my #1 waifu.

Really? Sounds like a relatively good idea. I'm only 70 or so episodes into Gintama, and it seems like a series I could pick up later on pretty easily if I stop now.

Something else i'm curious about, how am I supposed to pronounce the title? I've heard people straight out say it as Hunter x Hunter, and others pronounce it Hunter Hunter. The latter sounds correct to me, but I want to be sure.

And I say watch mainly because the anime actually has an ending. And though it is a filler ending, it's an ending all the same, unlike the manga which may never be finished. But I hear a lot of hype surrounding the series, and how it's supposedly one of the best shonen of all time. Was curious if I should watch it after finishing Gintama. Thoughts on the series?

Don't know whether to put this here or in the Gaming board, but I play a game called Bleach: Brave Souls, and there is a code in this weeks SJ for a swimsuit gacha ticket. Before I go searching for a physical copy somewhere online, I wanted to know if anyone over in good 'ol Japan has gotten one. Also mini rant, i'm still salty they stopped selling physical copies in the states If this is the wrong place, mods, move it to the gaming board or delete it and i'll post it there afterwards

I've bought KonoSora, that's about it. Mostly because I don't have the money to buy much, and I don't have the willpower to resist reading them at all cost. That being said, I will be picking up physical copies of Comyu, Majikoi, Majikoi S, and Katawa Shoujo (If I can get my hands on one) once I have spare cash in a month or so.
