  1. I'm not a fan of loli, but I still believe that it should be legal, theres a strict difference between fantasy and reality. It doesn't harm anyone in anyway what so ever, same goes for everything that isn't real. If you take offense from something that isn't real, then that's your problem.
  2. I generally separate fantasy from reality pretty well, making me pretty much immune to most things, I can get through scat, rape and mostly everything else even though they don't appeal to me. What does get to me though, is bestiality, i've seen this once, and it was the first time in my life that I held down the ctrl button so hard. I can't handle people having sex with dogs, what can I say.
  3. Welcome to the forums! On a side note, I didn't see Fate/Stay Night on your list, highly recommend it.
  4. Opening: Cowboy Bebop - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aw3fN3OPk3A - Why? Because Bebop. Ending: Log Horizon - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZQ1d1SFVX0 - Why? Because I love the ending when Shirou walks up to Akatsuki, in both endings. Some others: Brave Shine - Fate/Stay Night UBW. Unravel - Tokyo Ghoul Jiyuu No Tsubasa - Attack On Titan Trigun's Opening. I could go on for hours, but I won't.
  5. Niche genre, I don't think the western audience is really all that interested in BL novels. To be honest I don't mind the BL genre but this one just seems so uninteresting, then again almost all of them do.
  6. Ok, i've got it working, thanks to the thread, Tenkuru, and a few things I did on my own. I had both a pre-patched Fuwanovel version from a few months back, from when Fuwa still had it, just never got around to playing it. Obviously when the bugs happened the first things I checked was my locale (was already set to Japanese) and then I tried a clean re-install, none of these worked. Well aparently just extracting the ISO and installing isn't enough, you have to mount it and install it from there. Pre-patched versions do not work you have to install it. Now this is where it gets weird for me, I have to run it in compatability mode for windows 98/ME, yes you heard me correctly, BUT NOT AS ADMIN, if I ran it as admin bug happens again, same thing if not in compatability for 98/ME. This, is amazing. I think i've got some paranormal activity going on here because, well, wow. XD
  7. Ok managed to solve Problem #2 thanks to Tenkuru (basically by removing all the registery edits, twice, and re-adding the.). But now i'm back to the black screen issue, anyone got any ideas or do I give up and find a different VN? Pictures: http://imgur.com/a/Siftq As I stated above, game goes into menu, as seen in picture #1 (Sorry about it being so wide, my second screen is also in it), but the second I click anything my entire screen goes black, both of them, computer is responding, as you can see I am alt-tabbed, but can't see anything except the alt-tab. Honestly this rose to the rank of weirdest bug i've ever had, instantly.
  8. Ok this has been killing me, when I installed it and the English patch everything ran fine. I launched it and it loaded up the menu screen, this is where problems started. Everytime I clicked something on the menu, config, start, no matter what button my screen went black. Could still alt-tab, but my screen would stay black until I actually closed the game. Wanted to take a picture of it so I could ask for help here, this is when problem #2 popped up (yay), this is the error message i'm getting now, would appreciate any help. http://imgur.com/9E4JLT8 To be clear, I cannot even launch the game anymore, tried re-installing everything to no avail.
  9. I'll just clarify this to make it as simple as possible. Extra and Unlimited are both in the same VN, to unlock Unlimited you need to read the Meiya/Sumika routes. Once you finish that, download Alternative and read that. The entire process is lengthy but god damn I don't regret calling in sick for work for 3 days. Worth it.
  10. I don't feel that's necessary. The translation is already of very high quality and I don't expect it to improve much, and better art wont make it any better, personally I like the stupidity in Muv-Luv's art style. To answer the original question, you're missing out on one of the great VN's out there. I have my personal problems with it but I wont disagree with anyone that says that Muv-Luv is the best. Just remember to read Extra/Unlimited before Alternative.
  11. Heretic! But nah I love the character but god damn did her routes stupidity make me want to shoot myself in the head 700 times, actually why I count her as one of the worst characters. I still stand for Wanko as best route followed by Tsubame.
  12. Difficult decision for me as there are two that I consider my favorites. Muv-Luv Alternative and G-Senjou no Maou. Why do I consider them my best? simple. Because they didn't only bring a tear to my eye (lots of novels to this to me), they made me weep like an overgrown man-child. I'm talking tears strolling down my face and watery nose sniffing. Muv-Luv did it more then once though, while G-Senjou only made me weep once (the end).
  13. Chris being my favorite in the first game personality wise led me to a big disappointment in her route, because while it was really nice to see her and Yamato living together and the relationship evolve the story with her dad kind of killed it for me on the stupid scale, still my favorite character though. Other then that I enjoyed to first game a lot, Wanko's route the most probably because of the shattered dream, it was really touching. When Majikoi S! was finally translated I jumped on the hype train, and played it instantly, sadly to a lot of disappointment in the beginning. My first instinct was to read Wanko and Chris' route because they were my favorite in the previous game and oh boy was I disappointed as hell, as you said it was just a bunch of h-scenes and close to no story involved, sad, but should have expected it, so I moved on to Tsubame's route. This route I enjoyed more then any other route in Majikoi S, I loved the character and the story surronding her. After enjoying this so much I was skeptical of the other routes because I knew I wouldn't enjoy them as much, and I didn't. But overall I do think Majikoi and Majikoi S! are some of the best visual novels available in English and would happily recommend them to anyone. Overall I give it an 8/10 on personal opinion.
  14. The Muv-Luv series does not work on Windows 10. Sumika and Meiya have the infamous crash in Extra, as far as I remember Unlimited works fine and so does Alternative.
  15. I don't know any other then that, sorry.
  16. I recommend Deardrops, it has a really good romance with one of the heroines, and it also has the h-scenes your looking for. It also focuses heavily on the pure epicness of Rock music, which is, well, epic.
  17. I had this problem, but it was right after I reformatted and had no Direct X installed, that pretty much solved it for me. Can't speak for your problem though, sorry that I couldn't help more.
  18. Marry me please, i'll bear all the children you want. THANK YOU, SO VERY VERY MUCH. (My stress level went down as i'm going to the military soon and hoped I could read this before hand.) Again, thank you for the amazing work! It went so quickly ^^
  19. 1. My favorite would have the be Unlimited Blade Works, while I do think that story-wise its the weakest, the interactions between Shriou and Archer, which is basically his corrupted ideals are very interesting to me. Also, Rin is my favorite, so, yeah. 2. The new anime Unlimited Blade Works is like visual porn, it's probably the most beautiful anime ever made, but its story is kind of weak and it focuses more on the beauty of the fight scenes, still a good watch. Fate/Zero is my favorite anime of all time, it just has everything that's needed to be an epic story, death, deception, love, betrayal, hate, etc. I would heavily recommend watching it, as it tells the story of the war 10 years ago, and focuses mostly on Kiritsugu, Shriou's dad, which is endlessly more bad ass then Shirou. The original FSN from 2006, just no, don't watch, horrible. (By the way, a movie for Heaven's Feel has been announced by the same company that did UBW and F/Z, so we can only hope it'll be a massive scale production like their earlier movies, and they show the beauty of Heaven's Feel. Still hope Sakura trips and dies though.) 3. Dunno 4. Walkthrough?
  20. Just felt the need to say that I agree with this. While I still consider Alternative a masterpiece without the previous two, I do consider the three just one big, long vn.
  21. I might be wrong here, but last time this happened to me was in Cross Channel because I didnt have the font installed, check the download folder for fonts or something. Sorry I couldn't provide more help.
  22. Honestly I worked my way through Extra with pain and suffering, but today because I know the entire story of the franchise I actually like Extra, so much that I would be willing to go read it right now. Always appreciate what you have because the alternative may be a lot worse.
  23. English wise I think Fate/Stay Night is your best choice if you're looking for supernatural/sad stories, also has some really touching moments.
  24. I could bring up like ten that I really like but i'll stick to these two as my favorites. Muv-Luv Alternative G-Senjou no Maou
  25. Agreed not enough kiss CG's, to be honest I don't think there are enough CG's in general in visual novels. But I will reference this, as its one of my favorite CG's.
