  1. It's not going to be a PS3 version it is going to be an all new version with improved graphic and new CGs and events, and only things that are going to be out are H-scenes. Therefore I would recommend w8ing for that version. I would recommend ether G-senjou no Maou or Rewite.
  2. Yeah I did donate to the kickstarter actually. Kind of want the new version if I´m going to play it, so G-Senjou no Maou is what I´m going with. Completely forgot that when I made the list xD Think its gonna be G-Senjou no Maou - Planetarian - Clannad and then we´ll see after that. Awesome to hear that Muv-luv is that good though. Kind of donated on a whim. Wasn't really sure if it was going to be good or not. Going by your comment I won't regret it! The kickstarter version is going to be the ps3 version, which is all-ages thus heavily censored, I recommend reading the original version. For me its my only perfect 10, its broke me to pieces, took me on an emotional roller coaster and made me stand up out of my chair, go outside and contemplate life quite a few times. (I still donated to the kickstarter tho.)
  3. I listen to music of all languages and I only know 3. So nah, it ain't weird.
  4. there are some really good vns on steam, like planetarian, ame no marginal, higurashi (you will need to wait a lifetime too play all the chapters but it's uncensored )eden, yes it is "censored" but nothing really important and the content missing is crap, fault, world end, everlasting summer (free), hatoful, analogue, etc etc. Granted is not the best play to find vn because most of them are censored or butchered but there still are some good vn untouched. Oh God...dammit, I don't want anything even remotely similar to Higurashi. Deym. Such...rawness. *barfs* Yeah, I get that with "Steam." Damn them butchering the good VNs... I don't think its so much "butchering" more as in I don't know if Steam would be willing to host what is pornography, especially Japanese pornography. I try to buy the VN's I can when I find a good deal on them. I feel bad saying this as I support Fuwa becoming a non-piracy website, and I wish, WISH, I could buy every VN, but some of them are outrageous at 80-120 dollars, for short ones.
  5. G-Senjou no Maou is on steam, so is Grisaia. (If you want the adult-version Grisaia has a patch I THINK, dunno about G-Senjou.) I'm gonna go ahead and vote for Sharin No Kuni, G-Senjou no Maou, Muv-Luv and Steins;Gate. Do keep in mind that in my opinion Steins;Gate and Muv-Luv are just on different levels from the rest. Check VNDB if you want to actually buy the VN's it usually lists where you can if they have an English licensed version.
  6. After the first play-through usually, but if it's a romance and I want a specific route i'll walk-through it.
  7. Sharin and its fan-disc are definitely amazing. Muv-Luv has a lot of heart-warming moments, I can think of 5 off the top of my head, but yea its an emotional roller coaster, the best kind. Ah, also it doesn't matter if you wait for the release or not, the translation on it is good and I don't see it getting any better.
  8. Hory shet. Muv-Luv looks like gundam shiz. Amazing! I'mma play that. Cool, thanks for the recommend. Its my favorite visual novel so I hope you enjoy it, just remember to read it in order, as in the original Muv-Luv first and then Alternative. The original consists of two visual novels in one, the first one is called Extra and the second Unlimited, read them in order for maximum feels, tears, blood, sweat and especially pain. Awesome! Thanks for the heads-up. Btw...by "blood", you mean metaphorically or at least not THAT gory for a VN, right? Since I don't really like those types in my VN--still, looks promising! Theres no gore, you'll be the one sweating blood by the end of it.

  10. I'm gonna say G-Senjou no Maou and Muv-Luv. They're both good and pretty high up there on the popularity scale for a reason. Ah i'll add this, Muv-Luv is heart-breaking and heart-warming at the same time, but do expect tears. G-Senjou no Maou is, really, really heartwarming.
  11. I don't think they're choosing the companies so much as choosing the most popular visual novels that will rake in the money.
  12. Lmao what the hell!? They deleted his thread too! Free speech and criticism isn't a thing anymore, didn't you hear? Yeah! 1984! Fahrenheit 451! Other books with numbers in them! This is the way business works, guys and gals. It's not always pretty, but it's how the sausage gets made. It's a combination of SP being unable to talk about certain things because of contractual/legal obligations PLUS them not wanting to embarrass their partners and thereby endanger future projects. I've done several ad campaigns for game releases involving Japanese developers and/or Japanese IPs. I've lived it. There are layers after layers after layers of red tape to go through before you're allowed to say just about anything. I agree with mostly everything you said, business is business. But at the same time as I said before the way the PR handled it was atrocious, instead of deleting posts and banning members they should have explained they couldn't talk about it earlier.

  14. From a PR perspective they handled this in the worse way they possibly could have. Also, to be honest I gave up on Sekai Project already, no company should rely fully on KickStarter for EVERYTHING they do. Only project I gave money to was Grisaia no Kajitsu, and i'm happy I didn't give them anymore.
  15. Welcome to the Visual Novel world. A great one for starters is Katawa Shoujo, it's how most people get into VN's to begin with. Grisaia no Kajitsu, Princess Evangile and Clannad/Kanon/Air are some pretty good romance-centered VN's. If you're looking for something that isn't just romance but does feature it pretty heavily I recommend: G-Senjou no Maou Fate/Stay Night Sharin no Kuni, Himawari no Shoujo And i'm gonna go on a limb and say Muv-Luv, though it's an extremely long read, but it's worth it.
  16. If you're looking for something fun with a lot of sex scenes then I recommend Sengoku Rance, if you can handle the personality of Rance that is. Something more serious would be Sharin no Kuni, Himawari no Shoujo or G-Senjou no Maou.
  17. It looks very, very interesting and you pretty much gave me a case of "I want it now" disease. Thanks for making me sad, and thanks for the recommendation.
  18. First world problem huh Tbh i have the same thought as u when i started to play it, but after a while i got used to it. Yumina is a grindfest game btw especially if u want to finish 100% so good luck! Oh and try Duel savior too, its fun and have pretty awesome heroine(Nanashi FTW!) I'll give 'em both a try and see which one I prefer more at the moment. I'd call it a "Japan" problem more then a first world one, but yeah. Oh yeah and I already played Duel Savior, forgot about it.
  19. Eien no Aselia is on my list but I have the problem of all of the characters looking like 5 year olds, it really bugs me, but I will get around to it. Yumina the Ethereal looks interesting.
  20. I've played Rance, Daibanchou and Kamidori Alchemy Meister, looking for something new. Any recommendations would be welcome. Forgot to mention, must be in English. Thanks again.
  21. From my closest group of friends, yes. Other people can kiss my ass.
  22. I...what? I wish my grandma was this hype, i'd teach her to mod the hell out of Skyrim.
  23. how strong was this guy? His name, Arnold Schwarzenegger, his plan, EARTH DOMINATION.
  24. Ah I was thinking which one to write, and I remembered one that I mentally blocked out for a few years. I live alone with my mother and she loves lighting scented candles because of the smell, I was using a tissue when my mom was in the kitchen and it caught fire, me being the genius I was at 9 years old instead of stomping on it or something I threw it out my window, on the third floor, landed right on one of my neighbors patio chairs, which then caught fire, obviously I told my mom and we ran down and told him. He understood the mistake and explained that he was meaning to throw the patio out, so it was no big deal. But dear god was I stupid.
  25. Muv-Luv gave all of us PTSD, not just you. To this day i'm sad because I can't find a visual novel that gave me the same feels.
