Already own/played 999 all of the endings, twice. I'm still planning to get a 3DS though at the end of this month or early next month so I plan to wait and get it on the 3DS instead of the Vita. I'd rather have a 999 DS and a Virtue's Last Reward 3DS than a 999 DS and a Virtue's Last Reward PS Vita. I also plan to get Corpse Party now that I have a Vita, I haven't actually played that one. Then I definitely plan to get Euphoria the second it comes to pre-order even though I don't play nukiges because it's still the same 'get out while you can' genre that I really enjoy in handhelds.

Just picked up a Vita last night. They didn't have the Dangan Ronpa games (I played the first one on emulator before they started working on an official translation and I read a 'summarized' version of the second one in LP form) in stock so I just ordered them both on Amazon and downloaded Sweet Fuse to play while I waited c: I've never owned a Playstation system before, only my Wii and DS, but I decided I'd upgrade to a PS Vita before a 3DS because I could hold off on playing RF4 for a chance to play some of the good Vita games. The translation of Sweet Fuse is iffy (they're only introducing themselves ATM but I think I've come across 2-3 spelling errors already) and they say 'Gosh' and 'Golly' more than I was expecting but the art is great so far and the game doesn't look that bad. That and if nothing else Dangan Ronpa should be here by 8pm tomorrow night, so I'll live.

I believe I clocked in Sakura Spirit at ~4 hours. I'm not sure because even though I didn't lose internet connection I apparently lost Steam connection and it went from 4 to 2.7 when I restarted my computer. Needless to say it sucked. I rated it as a 3 on VNDB which beats my previous lowest score (My Magical Cosplay Cafe at a 6). I normally don't 100% games I don't enjoy but I played Sakura Spirit all in one sitting because I didn't have anything else in my Steam library that I particularly wanted to play but I needed to complete a few of those games I just had sitting around.

Guiz I'm opening up that boobs game with lots of spirit wish me luck. I told myself no PS Vita/Dangan Ronpa until I cleared out some of my unfinished games...and cleaned my room.

Already texted all my friends a link to the kickstarter gonna be thoroughly disappointed if they don't back this because I'm definitely making it a mandatory 'reading group' session in my friends group. Like the time I tried to get my friends to all get together and read Hatoful Boyfriend. Except my friend realized that he had to play as a chick human and couldn't be a fancy guy seducing birds. :/ At least this time he doesn't have to be a chick human.

1/3) Ugh I guess that means I should probably wait for the 2nd restoration patch before I get it instead of trying to play the first one. 2) I actually meant getting the imported version from Japan and then patching it so that I didn't have to support MoeNovel directly but I guess they are a part of Pulltop (which makes me sad) so that don't help. 4) What do you like if you don't normally go for down-to-earth SoL if you don't mind me asking? I tend to cling to a lot of dystopians and mysteries and crime related stories myself but the whole nakige/utsuge themes appeal to me on a general level too so it didn't really seem in my normal line of reading choices but the art looked well done and the idea looked nice. 5) Is the 2nd patch going to be able to work with the steam version? Or will it still give the Steam version issues. I'll keep an eye out for your updates though thanks so much for taking the time to write all that for me though And at the same time people are buying/are going to buy it for that restoration patch and MoeNovel is going to assume that it sold well and continue to translate Pulltop's VNs. Which makes me sad because after seeing Kouichi Natsu no Last Resort I was kind of hoping one of the major translators would pick up the company later down the road but if they have their own (sucky) in house translators they aren't going to go for that.

Yo 7 is a perfectly fine 'average'. If you think about the game this way, if the game was totally completely, boringly average you wouldnt have finished it or even really picked it up in the first place. Out of the games you actually finished (because come on playing 10 minutes of a game isn't good enough to rate it even if you think it is the scum of the earth) it was a pretty 'average' game but you liked it more than a 5 or you would have never made it to the end to begin with. 7 or 8 might be your average because you know if the game was below a 7 in your eyes you probably wouldn't finish it. Most of the 6/5s in this case scenario would be stories you held onto because they were short, it fell off at the end because the resolve sucked, you went for 100% and realized that only 1 or 2 route were actually good, it was something you played when you were bored and didn't have access to another game, it was something highly rated as a game 'to make fun of' (like Sakura Spirit) so you played it because it was bad. If you're rating stuff less than a 4 or a 5 (other than the to make fin of category) either you will literally play any game from start to finish, you have really low standards, or the game really screwed up the ending. You just don't often play things start to finish that you think are 5 'average' or 4 'below aversge' you play things that are average for you and you'd like to think there are plenty of actual average games out there not just average by your standards of good games.

2 or 3 hours out of 8 isn't bad. At least it means I skip at least 25% of the common route before I start having to manually skip.

I own most of those on Steam. I was talking about ef which was the game we had been discussing before.

That's just rude man. "Greater artistic merit" you mean the visual novels that look like they were done in a western comic style instead of an anime style? Even the more properly proportioned anime art styles tend to look young. They have plenty of VNs with characters that look more adult for the anime art style but unless we're talking about all the really creepy looking chicks from Starless--all anime characters look pretty going.

The game itself wasn't available on Steam though, right?

Still going to have faith. NTY!!! Is already out Princess Evangile has its release date this month, Kara no Shoujo 2 is translated and 1/3rd of the way through editing,Bokuton and Gahkthun are over 50% translated. Currently I believe it will be Princess Evangile, Forbidden love with my wife's sister, Kara No Shoujo 2 and the Euphoria. 2/4 nukige but that would make 2/5 overall. I expect that BokuTen and Gahkthun will be in the next 2 out of 3 after that. So I'm pretty much anticipating 3/8 to be nukiges so far.

I've never actually played it I've just seen Steam's screenshots for it. As for the Steam tag, that's something we can only hope to change in the future. I'm hoping that major translation companies decide to focus on Steam releases a bit more this year to help round out the tag.

are there any choices many choices before the common route ends or can I just make a save close to the end of the common route and skip it on subsequent playthroughs? I don't mind a long common path as long as I don't have to spend 5-10 minutes skipping every time I want to start a new route.

Well I thought it was supposed to be some sob story nukige at first so I didn't realize there was any comedy in it. In fact Steam shows it as if there are only 2 chicks in the entire game. You got wheelchair chick and other side chick. At least that is how Steam portrays it, imo
