  1. Still playing Muv-Luv Alternative. How many chapters is this game?
  2. Great stuff guys. The Rance series has been on my list for a while now. Is Kud Wafter a comedy?
  3. Is there a time limit how long a stream should be? Any other rules?
  4. Ah that's too sad, it was one of the better comedies in years. I'd like to read the manga but I don't know if it's going to be just as funny as the anime.
  5. I don't really see replaying visual novels any different from replaying a game, rereading a book or rewatching a movie. If you really like it there's nothing stopping you from play a visual novel again. Sure they are long and you have a long backlog but other than that I don't see the issue here.
  6. This was a great comedy series and they promised a second season, anybody hear any news?
  7. I heard good stuff about Mjikoi, too bad it's not 100% translated. I'd like to see the other games in the series translated as well.
  8. I'm definitely going to play all the Key games, just need to clear my backlog. What other visual novels can be called hilarious?
  9. Yeah I heard Key games are pretty funny. I'll check out snow sakura and dra+koi although coming from nitro+ I didn't expect it to be a comedy. I could really use some good laughs so keep your recommendations coming.
  10. you know a screen shots let's play is not a bad idea actually.
  11. I haven't really thought about it. I just want something that is funny, it can be pretty much anything as long as there is lots of funny comedy in it. It can be slice-of-life, slapstick or whatever. You can recommend whatever you think is funny, I'll check it out and see.
  12. I am looking for comedy visual novels, something hilariously gut splitting funny. Can be both translated and non-translated visual novels.
  13. It might not be a great way to learn for someone who is just starting, but those who already know quite a bit and just need some guidance it's a good way to learn.
  14. Ok, I think I solved the problem!!! Here is what worked for me. I am on winxp so I don't know how it works on another OS. Anyway, open you Regional and Language Settings in control panel. In the regional options tab, pull down the itembox next to "customize" button, and select Japanese. That's it. There are very few games that require this option to be set to Japanese (one of these is the Eien no Aselia series), so if something doesn't work try to do that.
  15. That's the thing I don't remember where I got it from. I does sound like maybe it's a font problem but which fonts do I need.
  16. My computer is set correctly to play visual novels and I have tried hundreds of visual novels and pretty much all work without this issue. Again the Name of the game is Trample on Schatten. I don't know why but for some reason the text in this game doesn't show up at all for me. I can see the textbox but no text ever appears. I'm running winxp 32-bit. I already tried to reinstall it and tried to get it from other sources. I have this game for some time already so I don't remember where I got it from. And no I did not download it from fuwanovel.
  17. It's not going to be boring, I've tried that with someone already. All we need to do is choose a game with both can enjoy.
  18. Cool, I can't wait!
  19. I want to be in on it too. I also love the idea the of game club, only one problem won't we spoil the game for each other?
  20. Are there any good visual novel podcasts out there ?
  21. Do you save your streams? and if yes how can I watch them?
  22. Thank you very much for your help guys. However I have the impression that you misunderstand what I mean. I am not looking to study Japanese with what is already available, I can do that on my own. I am talking here about a new way of learning. Learning by doing something you like with someone who can guide you with each step. For example let's say the teacher plays a visual novel, for example you as a student chose oh I don't know, let's say Kannon. The teacher plays Kannon (through streaming or some other method) and goes line by line explaining what each part of the sentence means and how the grammar works. That is what I'm looking for. I would have done it myself but I can only explain very simple sentences, so we needed someone who is on a more higher level.
  23. I wish I could teach, but then I will teach you all the wrong things, lol. I was thinking maybe somebody here would be interested to do it.
  24. Is there anybody here who knows Japanese and would like to teach it? I have a few interesting ideas to make it fun for those who want to teach and for those who want to learn. The idea is to teach Japanese through visual novels. By teaching you will learn and understand Japanese even better, as they say the best way to learn is to teach. So anybody interested?
  25. How about a podcast that discusses visual novels in depth. Pick a one to three visual novels and discuss them at length.
