  1. My favorite piece from Sakura no Uta
  2. Damn, I have to completely disagree with you regarding Root B, that's probably my favorite route... for me, I really liked the slice-of-life, and the characters were all very endearing to me, with very touching moments.
  3. I'm still highly confident Root Double will make it, but I don't know if they'd make more money with or without the latest update... I feel like they'd make more without it /: I just don't want to see the $99/$140 backers downpledging to $40/$50. Then again, I never understood why people would go for *just* the Vita and be willing to wait a year to play this VN, when they can read it in 2 months on PC.
  4. Latest update is $40 for early-bird Vita only and $50 for regular Vita only. I hope this won't backfire or anything...
  5. A little less than $8000 to go~ Also, all you Root Double backers, don't forget to support the Thunderclap thing if you haven't already, so the KS gets sent to all the supporting people's friends and followers. Here: https://www.thunderclap.it/projects/37185-let-s-kickstart-root-double
  6. Latest update gives us a Collector's Edition, whooo! Gonna up my pledge to get that
  7. It's mostly thanks to those $2000 backers right now haha
  8. Wow, the $2000 tier is all gone... can't believe it. I hope none of them are trying to troll the Kickstarter near the end or something by withdrawing...
  9. Yeah, if we could get like one more big push before the last few days... then I'd feel less worried. I wonder if Sekai will still consider changing up their Vita handling during the last 1-2 days if funding still looks bad, as a kind of last ditch effort lol...
  10. Honestly, it was a little weird for me too, but it's not like I was "offended" by it. I just thought it could've been worded a little better.
  11. Oh, I found this in the Neogaf forum: "Hey all, While ducking and avoiding your rocks, let me just first of say that I respect everyone's opinion on price and all that. I worked day and night for months to even get to this point, and we're not completely insane. At least I hope not. I'm not here to convince anyone, but let me clarify something, regardless of what you think of it. We faced an obstacle here where people wanted Vita, and we wanted to do Vita. Our Vita development has gotten solid and progressing nicely with our devkits getting hot lately, so we were always eager. I began working on getting this done before the campaign even. The issue is development and licensing. The whole dev team in Japan has to come back to refit the engine to work with the increased script size, voices need to be worked out, basically a bit ol licensing hootnanny. They were not easily convinced to go back to working on this engine just cause. Regardless of what people think of the tiers and that stuff, that's something we have to meet in the middle on with the developers and such, and we try our best and there's tons of great content there. But with Vita, we are left with few options. RD is not some sort of huge anime franchise which soars past stretch goal after stretch goal. So either we have to guarantee the port at a loss to us, or not do it at all and be even more meany heads for not caring about Vita. So the only option is to include it with other rewards (the price of the Vita port is not 225 by itself) and let those rewards directly fund the development, or nothing. So the Vita tiers go straight to funding the development to make this port possible in the first place, not to jack up the price for Vita just cause. Again, I am not asking people to like me by saying that, but its not just some sort of idiotic move made by me to screw myself over. I got everyone to agree to a term where we could offer Vita for sure without having to climb stretch goals, but rather that those who helps out the campaign and wants Vita gets it no matter what regardless. Hope we are all still cool no matter how it all works out."
  12. This may go down in history as the most controversial VN Kickstarter ever... @Decay, sorry for my overly optimistic viewpoint then...
  13. I'm sure this could all work out if SP were to just lower the Vita to $99...
  14. At the very least, the $99 tier seems reasonable enough... hope more people go for that one.
  15. Apparently they do, but I don't see it communicating much. https://twitter.com/regista_eng
  16. If Regista is actually more of the problem here, then all SP has to do is show them that everyone - here, on the VN reddit, and on the Vita reddit - is not liking this crap. Will that work...? Please...
  17. I have more advertising to do, but right now I'm just so dejected that I'm just really not in the mood to do that...
  18. It's not too late for SP to realize their screw up and lower the Vita to $100-$150, right? They could also just make it a Vita-dedicated tier and remove all (or most of) the other extraneous rewards... (and just include the physical/digital OST).
  19. Well... on the plus side, guys, the gameplay video is amazing:
  20. There can't be a physical copy because the VN is too big. It was the same for the Japanese Vita port too, that one is download-only.
  21. I'm not sure how to feel about this update honestly... the gameplay video looks amazing, but... $225 and above for the Vita, along with taking at least a year to release... that's pretty rough. I'd feel much better if the Vita were in the $150 tier. I was expecting tier updates to be more than just Vita + name addition to the True Ending credits...
  22. So are people finally giving up for this particular Kickstarter? This is such terrible timing...
