I wanna cry

So will the translators' work just all go to waste? I can't really imagine that happening... Root Double has to come eventually, but just not sure how, if the Kickstarter fails. How depressing that one of the most interesting visual novel localizations yet is in this kind of situation...

Those new tier rewards actually look pretty nice, imo. And I guess someone actually listened to me when I asked for that messenger bag to be added to the tiers lol, yay. I feel useful.

I acknowledged it to be a shameful request, sorry... couldn't help it forget I ever asked it then. And well, am I supposed to put blind faith in your assurances that everything will be alright? A lot of other people have been worrying as well, and clearly Root Double is in a different kind of situation from other kickstarters, due in large part to a combination of its lack of popularity, poor tier list, poor PR, and relatively high base goal. I didn't mention selling the game (though if it's possible, that'd be great), I was talking about just spreading the word. But I guess even that is being too idealistic in this competitive realm...

But is there any disadvantage for MangaGamer to just spread the word about Root Double? If there is one, let me know, because I don't see it...

Wait, so what exactly happened with Libra? It got ~$13,000 today and it's not even the last 1-2 days yet... was it because of MangaGamer's advertising or something? If so, can they do the same for Root Double...?

Because it's actually a great visual novel that no one knows about and would be ideal for any newcomer to the medium, due to its immediate action/suspense from the very beginning and lack of both 18+ content and dating-sim elements... so I want to see it succeed. I guess that does make me feel a little better, thanks...

Once Libra's base goal is exceeded by a comfortable amount (they're definitely gonna make it now, it just got over $10000 today), can some of the backers withdraw some of their pledge amounts to be donated to Root Double instead...? Pretty please... is anyone going to argue that stretch goals and/or some tier rewards are more important than RD being a bare-minimum success? I'm sorry (to Zenophilious too) for my shameful request, I'm just really that anxious right now T__T

If there's extra money left over from the Libra kickstarter, could people consider throwing that money at Root Double instead...? Oh, who am I kidding, they won't, since there are gonna be stretch goals they'll want to try and meet...

Well, it's nice to finally hear about some tier updates, hopefully that'll end up being significant (still needs a Vita stretch goal though). Is the worrying unwarranted? Admittedly, I'm not too knowledgeable on how Kickstarter trends usually work out in the end, but at the rate this downward trend is going, I'm just concerned that even the last-day spike in funding (which some people seem to be using as an argument for why Root Double will still succeed) won't be enough to bring RD over its base goal.

Please try to support this one guys, even if it's just a little bit... >_< Root Double really is great, definitely one of the best sci-fi visual novels so far, having one of the best overall casts of characters I've seen so far in a VN, and beating Ever17 for me. Well, it seems that Robotics;Notes is not really well-received (compared to the other SciAdv VNs)... so maybe that's a factor? I personally don't really care much for it either.

It upsets me to see Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso so beloved by so many people, because one of the messages the show conveys to its audience is insensitive and downright offensive. Root Double is probably one of the most interesting official English releases yet, since it actually doesn't have an existing translation right now, it's quite highly rated, and it's pretty obscure compared to a lot of other good VNs (including untranslated). Also, imo, Root Double has one of the best overall cast of characters out of all the VNs I've read. Easily better than Ever17's, and for me, even better than Steins;Gate's. This is the first VN project that I'll be backing~ really looking forward to it.
