solidbatman's New Years Giveaway Palooza!
Goldie-Chan replied to solidbatman's topic in Members' Lounge
The Kyakan Republic "Do everything for the greater good of Kyakan" Location: The majority of Europe, in present. When the country was first getting it's roots, Kyakan was located in eastern Russia. History: It started as a military country created in the 80's at the height of the cold war. It was the 4th member of the soviet union. after the cold war passed without any violence and the soviet union broke, it was left with a large military and nothing to do with it. It's borders slowly grew and grew as it took over neighboring countries with it's unbeatable military. Since they overtook many agricultural societies and they became a huge exporter and started becoming a world superpower. But the people were unhappy. They were under a bad dictatorship and it resulted in revolt. Lead by Vladimir Robertski the revolt was a success and they overthrew the dictator. The country was now highly objectivist and political figures had very little importance and were mainly just to act as a ambassador and would propose new laws. The people voted on almost everything. They still continued to grow and grow till the present day, 2023. They now took over the majority of the European continent. They are allies with with Asia who were scared they would be overtook by them otherwise. They had huge nuclear arsenals and were on the brink of another cold war with america who had also grew, annexing canada and working on doing the same with mexico, Puerto Rico and guam had become states and the virgin islands and U.A. Samoa were close. Bio warfare was becoming more and more popular and they were developing laser weapons and even mini-nukes that could be fired from a over-the-shoulder launcher. Because they assimilate the surviving soldiers of the army they attack they have a very large army called "The Unified Armies of Kyakan" because the assimilated soldiers keep their rank there are to many generals to keep a unanimous consensus between them on how they should attack so there is a arch-general elected by the people. They make command the generals and with how little power politicians have, arch generals are the most powerful and respected people in the country. There large amounts of gasoline and food that was exported was also a huge weapon as a few months before attacking they would extort them. Making the enemy very weak before they attack. This coupled with the best strategists in the world brought them to victory every time. The population is almost all atheist and those who are religious are mainly in cults who are the greatest threat to the country, they commit many terrorist attacks for various reasons, but most of the time it's rebelling against the law of how you can't practice religion publicly, of course with such a atheist population not many would oppose it. The terrorist attacks are a huge threat to the country and very hard to control as the cults are careful not to leave traces. They and their terrorist attacks are growing as the country grows larger. Important Figures: Vladimir Robertski, He lead the revolt against the dictatorship and is widely considered a hero by the population. You may even see a statue in his honor scattered around Kyakan. Alexander Boris, The first and only dictator of The Kyakan Republic who was put to death after the revolt. Nothing really to add about him. Alla Vanburen, the current arch-general of the Unified Armies of Kyakan. Common Religions of the Country: Atheism, the majority of Kyakan's population. Gaea's forces, a cult that commit terrorist attacks because of the pollution Kyakan has caused. They believe in the earth as a omnipotent being, similar to how the greeks believed in Gaea, the primordial of earth, and which is we call them that, as their actual name is unknown Political Parties: Libertarian party, a majority of the of the population, accounting for 63% of Kyakan's population. New world's order, a party that is mainly for science and technology. They contain many scientists and physicists. Accounts for 22% of Kyakan's population The conservative party, mostly the same as they were in 2014, accounts for 7% of the population Green party, Because of the pollution they have grew larger and some are members of Gaea's army. Accounts for 6% of the population. Laws: You can not practice religion publicly, Can not commit acts that go against the country (Terrorism, info dealing with other countries etc.) and no theft, murder, arson, ect. Law System If someone breaks these laws they are sent to a court they are given a harsh punishments, and for murder and worse, they are exposed to anthrax. Because of fear of these punishments the crime rate is very low. All laws are voted on and are either passed or rejected by the citizens, so there is no real need for a formal system of law to pass most laws. Misc Info: Population: 800,000,000 (and 20% of it is from immigrants) because of the population boom of the 2020's leaving the world at a population of 20 billion National Moto: Actions are taken for the greater good of Kyakan. Main products of production: Agriculture and petroleum. Specifically wheat, rice, tobacco and fruits Taxes: Kyakan gains a great deal of money of it's export tax and to a lesser degree its sales tax. The unified armies are payed for by the military tax. As the population is usually in the mindset of "For the greater good of the country" they is usually alright with taxes, though many argue against the export tax. Language: Originally Russian, though as they assimilated more countries it there became a large variety of languages used in Kyakan. Though the Kyakanian language was proposed in 2003 it never caught on and is used by few. National Anthem; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8OkpRK2_gVs ...It was the first thing that popped into my head. It's oddly fitting though. -

Long ago, Hackikuji Mayoi created this universe with herself at the core as the universe's best girl. For thousands of years, our true loli creator remained in secret, till she one day came into mortal's eyes when she appeared in a manga and later an anime. From that day on, the entire world truly new who the best girl is. To answer your question, yes. Hackikuji Mayoi is the best girl. -

For me, I'd have to say This Beatiful Yet Ugly World. Most of the episodes came off as really bland to me and I the ending was really my cup of tea. I wasn't the worst anime ever, I personaily didn't like it. Serves me right for looking at Netflix's small anime library and expecting greatness. -
OELVN Project Violet Hill (DEMO released)
Goldie-Chan replied to Helvetica Standard's topic in Original Projects
I apologize for coming into the thread at such a time, but I'm interested in becoming an artist for the project. I contacted Helvetica with a full sample of some of my art, but I don't think he saw my message, so I thought I should post here just to let everyone know my interest . -
solidbatman's New Years Giveaway Palooza!

My theory that Day 4 went on a night out on the town with it's friends to celebrate New Years. Day 4 was suppose to come home that night to present the next challenge, but it lost time talking to the cute bartender and with each passing drink Day 4 took, time just started to slip away more and more. The next morning, Day 4 somehow woke up in the bathroom of the bar with no memories of anything after midnight and had a pounding hangover. By the time Day 4 got home, it was already the afternoon and Day 5 would soon take his place, so Day 4 curled into it's bed and slept it all off. -

I'm a pretty tame person, plus my memory is awful, so I picked something that happened rather recently. Right before winter break, I had a huge book report due that was to be a huge part of my English grade for the semester. So, me being me, I totally forgot about it until the night before it was due and I was already in bed. The next morning, I happened to get to school about ten minutes before classes started so I wrote a full paper within the span of ten minutes all because I couldn't remember it was due and was too lazy to get up and write it. -
Who else here will wait for a new year reading VN? Which one?
Goldie-Chan replied to Okami's topic in Visual Novel Talk
I'm thinking about starting either Flyable Hearts or Hatsuyuki Sakura sometime in earlier 2014. I also bought a copy of Canvas 2 awhile back so once that gets here then I'll probably start playing that too. -

My new year's resolution is to finally finish Clannad, as it was the first VN I played but I kind of put it on the back-burner for other VNs and I never got around to finishing it. Of course, that's only VN-wise. My other resolution is to try and be more social, maybe even join a club or two. -
New Fate/Stay Night anime preview(yes, it's ufotable)
Goldie-Chan replied to eclipsezero's topic in Anime/Manga Talk
I have faith in Ufotable for this. If it's even half the anime that Fate Zero was, then I think we enjoy it full heartedly. So, long story for short, let the hype engine start! -

Spite my profile picture being of Haruka and Katana from LB, My favorite character is actually Kud (Although I was tempted to write a fanfic featuring Girl A from LB. She is truly the best girl). So, picture this story taking place in the winter after Kud's route/Kud Wafter. This clocked it at 1,318 words and took me about 12 hours to complete, but I took like hour distraction breaks in between writing a sentence or two . -
MangaGamer Considering Crowd Funding
Goldie-Chan replied to solidbatman's topic in Visual Novel Talk
I would be willing to support this method if it was a story title that would be rather expensive for them to produce. However, I wouldn't get anywhere near it if it was another random nukige from them, as I'm not even interested in their nukiges even now. -
Walkure Romanze - Recruitment Now Open
Goldie-Chan replied to datOtakuGuy's topic in Fan Translation Discussion
Very nice! I've been waiting for a translation for Walkure Romanze for awhile now, so it's good to see a team pick it up. I'm not too skilled at Japanese or anything like that, but I may volunteer for an editor role whenever you need it.- 61 replies

I completed it too. Bad anatomy is bad, but at least her face isn't on her leg like my rough draft. I may go back and color it later. -

Good thing that I saw this! Last SG giveaway, I found it when it was a couple of weeks in. Anyways, this should be fun. In for a penny, in for a pound! -
I never quite got into Choas Head and I'm unable to play Robotics Notes, but I did quite like Steins Gate. Spite that, I still am looking forward to it, especially if we see a PC version.

What visual Novels do you want to buy/do you own?
Goldie-Chan replied to Tanteikingdomkey's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Physically; Kira Kira (English). Go Go Nippon (English). Kud Wafter All Ages Edition. Umineko No Naku Koro Ni. Da Capo III. Steins Gate 8-Bit. Da Capo Girl's Symphony. Starry Sky in Winter. Digitally; Kansei/Jansei/Ect. Cherry High Comedy Club. War of Human Tanks. Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni.. IMHHW. I have a rather odd collection. I'm thinking about ordering Flyable Hearts and Eden* from Amazon Japan if my wallet can suffer it. -
I usually just buy a bag of randomized candies to give to and share with my little brothers. Other than that, I may do something like finally around to watching Higurashi then, as it seems fitting.
