In order to brainwash someone, you have to assume they'll follow your philosophy in the first place. I am so dead set in my own philosophy, moral stands and way of thinking that there's no way in hell I'm going to change it for anyone else's. That is an entirely different issue then.

No.... Why would anyone want to know that? Is it killing people? Because unless it is causing quick and lethal death, knowing what goes into food is absolutely pointless. The things you need to know about food: 1.Does it taste good? 2.Is it edible? 3.Am I starving? I guess there's more if you're a super health nut but hey, food is food. There are lots of people without food or very little food of any description. I don't care about 'pink slime" or whatever. Ignorance is bliss. As far as the government putting messages into things, yeah I'm sure they are. I also don't really care. As a human I was given a brain with which to process and dissect information and no matter what that information is, whether or not I agree with it is and will be my choice. I am not a mindless drone who can't make my own decisions and no amount of governmental brainwashing is going to change that.

Have you played Katawa Shoujo, Little Busters or Kamidori AM? If not you should Also the anime question was more "do you watch it regularly" then "whats your favorite" haha. (But I worded that super poorly)

This topic is actually quite helpful to me. I'm trying to learn all I can about what is needed to get into doing this sort of thing. I don't actually have much (see: anything) going on irl, so learning more about what the role and jobs of a project lead are is quite helpful.

Ano Natsu. Ai Yori Aoshi. Yosuga no Sora. To Love-Ru is a harem anime, mostly comedy, lots of perversion, quite good but probably not what you're looking for.

This VN caught my eye quite a while ago with it's striking, soft art style. I recently downloaded the Japanese version of the game and am now more interested in it then ever. So interested in fact that I thought would take Aaeru's advice, and become the editor and project lead for this. But first I would like to see how interested the community here is in playing it, and if there are any individuals who would specifically like to work on it as a translator, hacker/encoder or proof-reader. From what I've played of it, the game seems very much in the vein of Little Busters/Katawa Shoujo. I doubt it will get quite as dark as those though (but hey, looks can be deceiving).

Granted but every project you work on would end up having fujoshi as it's target audience. I wish I had more courage.

Don't think of your self as an editor. Think of your self as a writer. You are taking this thing that was in Japanese and re-writing it. That doesn't mean you need to be pandering or condescending to your audience (a practice I've seen done many times in officially "localized" works, the "My heart Had Wings" debacle being the most recent) but you need to put in as much pride, effort and love into it as if it were your own work and as if people will judge you (harshly) on it.

I don't actually. I hate horror because I find Hollywood and video game horror extremely cheesy. There are a few exceptions though that I consider really well done, such as The Witch's House. Which doesn't scare me, but I can at least attest to it's quality.

I don't think there is much point in collecting pictures. I try to only use a picture once or twice and they're mostly all stored on Gelbooru, Lolibooru and Sankaku Complex anyway.
