    Personally I'd say start with Steins;Gate but it all comes down to personal preference and what you look for when picking a visual novel.

    I've had no issues with running most visual novels on my Win 10 desktop pc, the only one was Duel Savior but then again that one didn't run on my Win 7 one either.

    Pretty much this ^. No one has the right to judge the reasoning behind other people's hobbies or reasons for them to learn something. It may as well have started as learning the language to play visual novels but it can evolve in a wide array interests that may eventually lead to more learning or opportunities and other things besides of it's original purpose. There is no knowledge that is not power.

    It's one of my favorites, good story, great characters and nice art as well, Tokyo Babel that is.

    Joker as a whole is the most iconic villain the DC universe has to offer in my opinion and yes Ledger's Joker was the best one but unlike most people I'm not gonna hate on Jared Leto's Joker, I think that one is good as well on it's own merits.
