Yes, it has romance, just no H. It tells a complete story while also having a cliffhanger; it's slightly unusual. Yes to kinetic.

I've been playing it since it came out. For the most part so far it's been fairly mediocre SoL, so I hope it improves. The scores give me a little hope, I suppose. The visuals are good as expected, but don't really seem to be improved from Ef despite being five years later.

The writing is bad.

I wasn't really impressed by Fata Morgana. The art is 'different', but that doesn't make it good. The OST has a few good tracks but is also overrated and full of 'atmospheric', forgettable tracks. I'm not really sure why so many people like it so much.

It seems like they're flailing about because they didn't expect such a response to the demo. I don't think we can expect much beyond "acceptable" at best unless there is another delay, and from what people are saying it's likely that this deadline is being forced by Innocent Grey directly. There's basically two histories, the Western and the Eastern. Some VNs that had a more negligible impact in Japan had a much larger one in the West due to the paucity of available localized titles. Zero Escape, which inspired a few of the more recent titles like Parascientific Escape, is a good example, since I think it was mostly ignored in Japan.

I've still going through the post-game content of Kindred Spirits before moving on to something else. I was planning for that something to be Flowers, but given recent events... Anyway, I also played through Danganronpa, with the new Steam release. It's quite good.

Mangagamer's failures are in areas incidental to their products, like marketing. JAST's flaws are more severe because they affect the basic quality of their releases.

Now they're asking for help from anyone on Twitter. How this will help with the other 95% of the game I've no idea.
