Still slowly making my way through LWR, trying to savor it as much as possible. I can't get over how gorgeous the art is in certain parts. I have Neko Para lined up to play later though, when a certain mood takes me.

I picked other. The route order I chose usually has nothing to do with how much I like a heroine. I usually try to get a spoiler-free consensus on the quality of each route in whatever I'm reading and work my way from worst to best. I care less about a specific heroines traits and more about how good the story is when it comes to picking what I read. I obviously still have preferences for what makes a character personally attractive though. It's a mix of appearance and personality. I prefer older-looking, strong willed characters. Nagging is a plus. Which is why, among other things, Amane from GnK is my favorite VN heroine.

They usually do nothing for me, but I wouldn't say they detract from the experience. I do hate it when the spoil upcoming cgs though. Still, a well done OP can get you hyped up and excited to start the story proper.

The only improvement I could think of was maybe linking to each person's profile page so that they're easier to get in contact with, but that's a lot of legwork for so little pay off when you consider they can just use the search bar to find the member they're looking for.

I regularly watch Let's Plays of video games, but rarely do I watch an LP of a VN. For me, visual novels are something I prefer to experience independent of any color commentary or personality. If it's something I've read before, that's obviously a non-issue, but then I feel like I could be using that time reading something new rather than treading over old ground. The main thing is that I just simply haven't found a youtuber entertaining enough to really want to watch someone else play a VN.

Littlewitch Romanesque is new and pretty good. The gameplay is strangely addicting, considering all it amounts to is dice rolling.

You can use the autocast menu (press space bar or right click) to hone in on the dice you want to bump. It pauses the game and give you a chance to see what dice you should bump. You can then just move your mouse over that dice before you unpause it. It might be a lame way to do it, but if you're rubbish at bumping, it's an option.

Same. I'm always put off when things advance beyond a student/teacher relationship in these kind of games. More so given Aria and Kaya's personality and design.

Overall a great game. Buy it. Sounds like we're having a similar experience. My first playthrough is completely blind and I'm taking my sweet time with it. Not even close to being done. Sounds like you're going for Mariella's ending first too.
