I'll reiterate what Kaguya said, Phenomeno will probably be your best bet. As for Saya no Uta, it isn't really scary, but (personally) few novels, movies, etc. ever really hit on that string anyway. You might still find it horrifying, but even if you don't, I'd still call it halloweenish. It's grim and a monster story. Fits the bill in my book.

1. Dick Grayson from Batman. 2.Nines from Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 3. Alex DeLarge from A Clockwork Orange A little arbitrary in picking them, but those were what first came to mind.

I like the idea of user-generated nominations for MotM, but I think we should limit the accolade to just one user per month. They will certainly be months where a number of people will deserve recognition, but I feel like they can always be revisited as a nomination for another month. Having 3 MotM every month might just eventually spread the candidate pool too thin and dilute the quality of MotM down the line. That said, I don't think recognizing and featuring a project every month alongside the MoTM award is a bad idea. It might practically be the same thing for all intents and purposes, but I don't think it's a meaningless distinction.

Welcome to the community, Rayan. I hope to see you around forums. As for what you may be looking for, Long Live the Queen (available on Steam) has a heavy focus on attribute raising in order to progress through the story. An older title, but still nonetheless very good, is True Love. It's likely to be exactly what you are looking for, if you don't mind how old it looks.

What's the deadline for the applications? -
Welcome to the community. I hope to see you around the forum. Leg master race.

I got started on Kichikuou Rance recently. It kind of surprised me just how much like Sengoku it plays, given it precedes it by a decade.

I've been grinding ladder today with control warrior in hearthstone, working out my kinks with certain match ups. I enjoy it, it's a nice change of play style after playing miracle rogue for so long. RIP golden Valeera, golden Grommash here I come.

I joined Fuwanovel because of visual novels, but I stayed because of the community and the people here. I don't really see the problem: people still discuss visual novels and upcoming news, they are active projects on the forums, and most of the forum's real estate is devoted to visual novels. I wouldn't no where near call the VN portion of the forums barren. Not all of the discussion there has merit or is interesting, but that's a matter of personal opinion. The fact that people are able to contribute more to general discussion topics isn't really that surprising, nor is it anything to decry. General discussion topics are more digestible and more easily added to. That's how it has been on the majority of forums I've frequented. As for the topic directly at hand, I feel for Tay. Since I've been a member, I've seen at least of couple of admins come and go. It always felt like Tay sort fell into his current position (that is being the sole one driving the direction of the site). He seems like a decent guy and the fact he continues to stick around, even through his prevailing health issues says something. I have faith in him that he will earnestly try to implement the changes that are being talked about, even if they don't really come to fruition. There may be a time where we arrive at a crossroads if he's no longer able to continue these efforts or the community as a whole becomes fed up with their lack of expediency, but I don't think we're at that point yet. As for the state of the forums and people of the community, people have always come and gone and popped up when they felt like it. I'm sure there's some specific cases, but I'm not sure if on the whole it has anything to do with the current "languishing state" that the forums find themselves in.

I'd wager it might be tied to both or another system altogether, but I'm not actually sure. There's only a couple of missions where you're heavily pushed toward using the stealth mechanics, and any character can get through those with patience. I did play through the game as a stealth character once, but obfuscate pretty much makes being seen a none issue.

Dexterity isn't that useful, it's tied to like... sneaking and lockpicking? You can mitigate the hit to your lockpicking through the bloodbuff ability. Ex-Swat looks pretty ideal for what you're doing. Beautiful monster is a good alternative, +25% presence is nice.

Welcome to the community. I hope to see you around and good luck on the project.

For a relatively straight forward style, focusing on combat would be ideal I guess. I'd probably go Toreador if you want to shoot things (this will give you some social options to boot) or Brujah (or gangrel for unarmed) if you want to smack things. Guns are better for end game. The Tremere are my favorite race in the game, I'm a huge fan of killing people with blood missiles and blowing them up from within. Malkavians are absolutely not recommended for a first play though, the PC malkavian is of the absolute nonsensical, batshit crazy variety and the dialogue is changed to reflect that. Not the best for getting a cursory view of the story. Plus, once you play through the game once, you'll be able to pick up on some of the prophetic hints that are contained in the Malkavian PCs dialogue and hallucinations.

What difficulty do you plan on starting on? I think hard might be the most conducive for a first time playthrough.

Like I said, it's easily among my favorite games of all time. It also has some of my favorite voice acting out of any game. I've probably played through it 10+ times over the years. The character creation isn't as daunting as it may look. If you do a little digging, you'll find that a lot of the stats are redundant (from a gameplay perspective, not a roleplaying one) and not all of them are that useful. If you get the mind to ever play it again, looking at the introductory stuff of a walkthrough would probably help you make sense of everything. Also, be sure to grab the unofficial patch and maybe even look into the handful of content mods available for the game. They really flesh out the experience and even turn it into a different games in some ways.
