Personally i've read the Steam version. And while there are some not that great censor moments and the translation has its faults its became one of my most favorite visual novel reads ever. I was reluctant to play it at first to, due to all the comments but by the meeting in Chapter 1 near the beginning i was entranced and glued to my seat till i finished it all. Speaking of the translation while it certainly has a few issues its still miles better then the one for Chrono Clock, there are mistakes but at least it manages to pass the original feeling. That said i will probably try going for the JP vn's at one point i definitely want to try out the Shinsegumi fandisk. To be on topic so far my favorites this year where: Chusingura 46+1 (i read the steam one) Majikoi A series (from A1 to A5) Koihime Otome. I'm not really that much into nukige but so far Yokouso Sukebe Elf no Mori might be a strong canditate as well, if it keeps up this momentum.

Since things went so nicely with Majikoi A3 through 5 i'm giving Youkoso! Sukebe Elf no Mori e a try XD.

Don't forget about Azumi from Majikoi: She can do pretty much anything required of a maid and beyond plus she's a powerful ninja.

Program that helps translate VN text as you play...

? Screenshots shouldn't be a problem... AMD has Relive, NVIDIA has ShadowPlay, there's fraps, quickview and various other alternatives... Also i dunno about LEC but Chiitrans also works with Atlas, actually i use it with both Atlas and google translate... so far google had the upper edge to be honest. -

VNR did not work properly for me. Chiitrans however worked great, especially since i use two monitors, i can have Chiitrans on one screen and Majikoi fullscreened on the other XD. I managed to beat Yoshitsune's route in A5, plus the accompanying options, thanks to all my previous knowledge from the series, some degree of understanding Japanese from the dialogue and the hints provided by chiitrans allowed me to get through it without breaking much of a sweet. I originally started this just because i wanted desperately to go through Yoshitsune's route, but it went so smooth that i also started Lin's route in A4, playing through it now and loving it, I'll probably just go through both A4 and A5 like this. -

Yeah i'm aware they are not accurate but i'd at least like some hints in the text :p. -
From what i understand there's some software out there that attempts some rough translation as you play a novel, i want to try it out with Majikoi A-5 in hope i get a general idea on how it is, to some degree i can understand some of the spoken japanese dialogue but text is a whole different can of worms...

It looks to me that your using a version of majikoi that the english patch doesn't recognizes thus you can't install it. Either that or your just trying to install the english patch without the game which again wont work.

Tales of Berseria sort of fits here as well, a personal favorite.

Any linux users around, i want some advice
Strike105X replied to Strike105X's topic in General Discussion
Thank you all for the great advices! -
Hi all, i want to give linux a go on my main rig: I haven't really used linux since mint 9, which i really, really loved, this are the things i'm interested in: 1. Compatibility with my hardware, and when i say hardware i mean my i7 6700 config. 2. i heard you can get visual novels to work nicely using vmware player, is that true ? Does it support fullscreen ? Can i access files on my Linux partition with it ? 3. Does Linux have something similar to MPC-HC, MPC-HC not only has a great compatibility with every video i ever played but subs and ass style subs work great. for instance with VLC i had issues. 4. I need to use Photoshop CS5 or CS6, is that possible now ? Do not recommend me alternatives (like gimp), i've used photoshop for years its what i'm used to. This is how mint looked when i really loved it leaving aside the backgrounds its that look and features i really loved, any chance of getting something similar on newer builds, i also digged compiz: http://imgur.com/a/S6bjf

Imho that's one of the things it makes him badass, he knows when to quit and let others continue, but despite his lack of power he also wont hesitate to put his life on the line for his friends/loved ones. While not quite a badass in the classic way, he does also seem worthy of the title.

Hi i'm looking for manga that has a romance element, preferably something that ends at least a bit conclusive, but i don't really want slice of life, i want it with some fantasy or action or sci fi, anything works: Here are some examples of what i read and liked: Rosario+Vampire Superior sun ken rock The main thing i do want though is for it to be completed. No ongoing, i'm already at my wits end with Toaru and The legend of legendary heroes.
