so in general newer visual novel reading people will tend to read hoshi memo or some other newer vn made around +2007 where generally art starts improving and becomes less fiss-eye and out of proportion. but if you start with early vn dating around ~2000 where art was yea you know since you saw it already probally you would care less about the art and more about the story but also it mainly depends on ones personality and preferences its not like we can say we all must read visual novels for there visual part and not there story.

i get the black screen too but just wait a few seconds around ~30 i dunno why but it just freezes for a min when you open it. also yea about the other exe the non cracked 1 its just as i just descrived non-crackedand wont work since you need a key to activate it. so just wait a min for it to work. this before doing what MrTsundere advised because this cost less effort.

btw if it cheers you up i already got maruyu so here's a picture of people who do get maruyu.

go unlock this file SR.ini or if you dont wanna unlock it for whatever reason change the settings manually by clicking that file and typing it all.

some vn's here do not require a instal the exe file is right in the folder. also in most cases its not a instal but a patch your installing or patching or whatever. either way can you specificy which vn you are unable to play download or everything.

which of these pictures do you see first when you open the exe A B o yea also check if everything isnt locked into read-only.
