Boku No hero was awesome. I was kinda expecting the generic Fairy tail bollocks. But damn that ending of episode 2 was full of feels, (had a tear on my eye) and kinda badass at the same time.

I think we read VN's solely for the fact that we enjoy reading it. I think this also applies to other forms of medium too. Why do we love movies/books/tv shows? Simple: Because we enjoy them

Putang Ina raming Pinoy dito ah!
Anyways I find it surprising that a lot of SEA people play VNs.... I mean it takes hours and hours to download 2 gb where I am from! Glad to see the dedication

Just saw the website and the drawing looks good!
But a suggestion though:
Ermmm how do I say this but you have to keep the art style " similar ".

You know, a key that quickly opens a picture of a tree or something if someone walks in on you reading porn.
I second this!

I second Symphonic Rain, it's great. Admittedly a slow start, but fantastic. Especially when you get to the true (Al Fine) route. About the art. The background art in Symphonic Rain is gorgeous, it's just the character designs and CGs that are a bit lack luster.
Yeah, I am reading it right now. Arts ok but slowly getting used to it
. Musics good imo

VNDB tends to be a fairly ... iffy place for ratings. It's good for a decent overview of the reception of the title, but it should never be the final deciding factor.
I still think of it as one of the best VNs I've read, though I'm sure many will disagree with me on that
Seeing as it's a fairly short read, you should go through it and make up your own mind on it. It's always a shame when a person doesn't read a title because of what other people think of it.
Heh cool man. Thanks for reminding me that people have their own opinions too

Ah yes, Eden*! Strongly recommend it, it's fantastic! Can't believe I forgot that when I commented! Such a good read, and the art is very pretty.
Yeah, im getting to Eden once I finish Symphonic rain
. Im just worried about the mixed reviews in vndb.

Didn't see if you commented on this or not, maybe I'm just blind, but can you read Japanese or are you only looking for translated stuff?
Translated, it'll be heaven if I could read Japanese.
8 minutes ago, Fred the Barber said:Maybe I just don't get the term, but I didn't find either eden* or Sekien no Inganock (which even bears the "utsuge" tag on vndb) to be depressing in the slightest.
Neither of them is all sunshine and roses, by any means - I'll be the first to admit that neither is a game where nothing bad actually lasts and everything is wrapped up into a neat little gift of happiness at the end. But for me, a slightly bittersweet ending is even more rewarding than a purely sweet one. If you've never played either of those games, maybe give one a try and see if it works for you; you may be surprised.
Eden Huh, I guess I could try. I mean its only 5 hours.

Okay, sorry then. To be honest, TV Trope and VNDB was mixing utsuge and nakige trope, make it more confusing to be honest. Okay, so here I'll change my recommendation since apparently you didn't like sad ending or utsuge thing (No problem though since taste for each people was different). For the new recommendation, how about Katawa Shoujo and Yume Miru Kusuri. And as for Shinikiss, the tone maybe depressing, but the game was ended on happy note though (And in VNDB it was not listed as utsuge anyway, but eden and ef was), so you should try Shinikiss. Although I must admit for 3 of my previous recommendation the ending was not so happy.
tldr - I recommended Shinikiss again, with Katawa Shoujo and Yume Miru Kusuri as my new recommendation. Have fun for playing VN.
Yeah Utsuge makes me depressed af
Yeah putting Shinikiss on my list (:

Hello! I am working on an otome visual novel game right now. It is a fantasy game with elves and i have a cg artist for all the cutesy fluff stuff lol but there are a few scenes that lean toward the creepy side, also for bad endings there might be some blood. So anyone that is good at doing creepy slightly gorey art I'd really appreciate if you contacted me. It's not going to be super gorey with intestines hang out and stuff, just some blood. And in regards to payment, once i have more to show for my project i plan to run a campaign to fund the project (because i am paying out of pocket and i work at a deli ;-;) anyway i'd really really appreciate if you would be willing to work with me without payment until the campaign and then of course i'd pay for all the previous work and current work etc. But if that's a no go that's not a problem either, id still be able to, just using the money out of pocket ;-; lol anyway, the link to the game info is down below, please let me know if you're interested, oh and make sure you look at the main character on the main page and see if you can get close to the same art style(except all creepy like) i just don't want it to not even look like the same person ya know? Anyway thank you for reading!

You know.... if you are willing to pay there are a lot of good free lancers that work for peanuts at Guru.

I've gotten Snow Presents installed and running, however the text box is completely blank so there's no way to hook it for translation. I'm running it through Applocale. All the other japanese text is present. Any ideas?
What OS are you using? Win 7? 10?
Try running in Japanese locale and not app locale as it can cause problems.

Has Sekai Project/DenpaSoft confirmed a physical release for the Grisaia trilogy? I know they are all getting translations but I was kinda hoping to buy a physical version of them all.
You CAN buy the physical disks.
If Sekai Project attends an anime convection, they would sell physical disks at their booths or so ive heard.

Welcome to the Fuwanovel and enjoy your stay here. Since you asking for nakige, because everyone here recommended popular one, how about Air, ef, Shinikiss, and eden for the less popular one. Air was VN that ended with bittersweet note instead of happy, Shinikiss was dealing with the death of childhood friend (And quite underated at VNDB), ef and eden had good scenery porn. I don't know if you like sad ending though, but I think those 4 were quite good in my opinion.
Anyway, welcome once again and if you want to ask me what will happen to this thread, well expect moe pictures on this thread sooner or latter. It's like tradition here for giving moe picture for the member who introduce themselves here. Oh, just ask us if you need some help here.
Waait so ef,shinikiss and eden are Utsuge? No man
Yeah, ill ask. I appreciate the moes they're kinda cute

For reference, nakige means a sad story, but with a good ending
Utsuge is a sad story with a melodramatic or a sad ending
Guess you learn something new everyday
Thanks for the heads-up!

Welcome!
I'll second Symphonic Rain - if you're like me, you'll get used to the art style while you're playing it (I also found it pretty weird for the first few hours). @Nimbus is just salty about good games, don't listen to him
If you fill out a VNDB page and link it, it'll make it easier for people to recommend games you haven't read yet.
And to give a recommendation that hasn't been put out there yet... how about Little Busters!.
Cool im reading Symphonic rain right now, liking the music but not the art style.
Ill set my vndb soon
Yeah man~ I already read little busters! THE FEELS
but at least its happy ending.

Did you try changing your screen resolution via registry? Forcing a game to downscale is bad as it can cause some graphic artifacts (imo) , changing the screen resolution is less error-prone since it doesnt "force" the game.
