  1. Awesome! I think this is a good enough indicator to give it a trial run. Here is a list of people that said they'd like to be on the podcast: solidbatmanshcboomerInvertMouse (for an episode) (yeah, you're totally coming on post-epsiode-10 to apologize for the agonizing waits between episodes ) (#Unhack, people. #Unhack)Lewycool (maybe)Snow (wasn't sure if you were serious, but we'd love to have you)p4izanagiKenedjin (depends on time)darkphoenix If you guys are really up for being a part, that's awesome! Anybody is welcome to come in for any episode (skype can hold up to 25 per conversation, though that's probably too many). I'll send out a PM to coordinate a recording time. If others are interested in joining, feel free to post so below. As for the immediate future: what VN do you guys want to play first in the game club? The game club works like this, btw: We pick a game and play through sections of it between podcasts (maybe using decision points or chapters/acts as stopping points). Then, on the podcast, we'll chat about it and what we think of it so far. Also, podcast-ers can/will post save-data as we go along, so you can hop in any time.
  2. Just to bring this back around to original point: Fuwanovel has a Twitch.tv account. If you are interested in streaming VNs (and there are people who are), or other content that fits the bill, let me know! I can give you a key to stream on the channel. If you want to stream at a particular time, regularly, all the better (!): we'll put a schedule up on the channel for interested parties to follow.
  3. Cool idea to think about. Thanks!
  4. Hey, welcome to the forums! I'll join the Batman wagon in asking about the VN you've played. Was it Katawa Shoujo? Fate/Stay Night? How about the one on Youtube? In any case, we're really happy to have you with us, and, so, welcome! Glad you decided to start posting : )
  5. Stream authors can save old broadcasts, so you can still watch them later : ).
  6. Well, as long as you're willing to find out with us, that'd be awesome : )
  7. Bingo. I'm new to manga, so I'm discovering the classics one by one. : D Jealous?
  8. Welcome to the forums! Sorry I missed your intro topic, but we're glad to have you!

  14. Yes, so, to be clear: This topic is about setting up a streaming schedule on the Fuwanovel Twitch channel. The schedule will point out weekly streams that people can go and watch, OR I can give out permissions to stream directly on the Fuwanovel channel.
  15. Hey all! As many of you know, Zhurai is putting together an awesome, industry-wide VN podcast (see this thread). The podcast is going to be great -- he's a passionate guy, and has some great ideas. This topic is to gauge whether or not you'd be interested in listening to/participating in a Fuwanovel-Specific podcast separate from his larger undertaking. The Fuwanovel-Centric podcast would be a shorter podcast, done twice a month, with the following content: Fuwanovel community's newsHighlight new membersPuts on contestsA game club where interested participants will play through portions of a game in-between sessions, and discuss them during the podcast Is there interest for this? I've talked to Zhurai, and we agree that the content of the two podcasts will be adequately different and complimentary. If you're interested in participating, or if you'd listen/follow it, please let me know!
  16. Awesome! Well, we can do this a few ways. If you guys have 1x/week that you wanted to stream for X amount of time, let me know! I'll put up a schedule on Fuwanovel's Twitch.tv page, referencing the different contributor's channels (or websites)! I'm going to stream on Saturdays (USA, MST), time TBD. I'll probably do the game in 1-hour increments, but you guys can stream at whatever pace you want. I have access to the Fuwa account, so if you wanted to link to/stream to that account, you can. twitch.tv/fuwanovel (to be set up!) Not sure what you're referencing... so probably not!
  17. Yep, yep. Well, I think I worked out the potential issues on my end. If anybody's interested in streaming VNs, just let me know. If you're able to do a regular stream (certain day of week/time), that would be awesome, and would allow us to put together a streaming schedule. If you want to stream non-VNs, I'd imagine that's cool, too, and we'd love to know about it.
  18. Many of you aren't yet aware that Fuwanovel has its own Twitch.tv channel, but we do! If anybody is interested in joining me in providing content for the stream, please let me know below. It would be awesome if we could have semi-regular content up for VN-lovers to enjoy! I'm still setting the Fuwanovel channel up, but for those who are interested in some immediate gratification, I am about to begin streaming Katawa Shoujo on Twitch.tv! (As in, 5 minutes following this post being published). Tay's Twitch Channel: http://www.twitch.tv/archmagetay
  19. Hey everybody, We're still catching up after a short break while I was away in the desert, and Ryoji is recovering. More information soon!
  20. I pasted the wrong link. Thanks for catching that. Edit: I edited your response to update the link as well: it didn't auto-change with the link switch.
  21. *KS Senses... Tingling* Oh, hey! A KS thread! You said it best, just there. Rin's route was difficult. It's been a while since I played Rin's route, but I remember having to really push through it because of the anxiety and frustrations of good choices seeming bad. For me it was difficult because it was so cerebral, abstract, and art-brained. I felt drained playing it, and so the ending for me wasn't so much catharsis as release. KS is neat because different writers took on each route (chapters 2-4 for each heroine), and that leads to interesting effects. Here's a quote from the KS Dev Blog (link) (one minor edit made): So I'm curious: what kept pushing you through? Why keep going along the route, even though it was hard? I don't remember why I kept at it, and it seems like your original point (that the Rin experience was unique and rewarding) is something that comes AFTER the trial. Can you remember what kept you playing when you were in-the-moment?
  22. It's kind of overly simple, but for a lot of people, a big part of the solution is actually physically dragging yourself to the bed at a normal hour : ). Video games, books, certain VN websites, and more can have a "just 15 more minutes..." effect until it's 4:30 AM. Sometimes, you just have to drag yourself to the bed. If your problem is with falling asleep, and it's been going on for >2 weeks, I'd definitely see a doctor (if you have insurance or can afford it), or a nurse practitioner (if no insurance).
  23. I'm still reading Love Hina and TWGOK. Loooove 'em! (Love Hina makes my heart happy)
  24. These are incredible! Thank you so much for sharing -- you've got an amazing gift!
