  1. Wait, seriously? I've got that one and I've made some headway into it, but I've never seen anything about a maid in there. ...This requires some investigation!
  2. I looked at that one, and now I have to try it. The art was quite interesting, and it kinda reminds me of a certain anime. Plus I'm into guys as much as girls, so hey. Win-win. That's fine. I looked into it a bit and noticed that it also has an Ojou-sama heroine, which is fine by me.
  3. Thanks for the suggestions. And don't worry about something being bad. I survived Casual Romance Club, so I'm sure I can survive Little My Maid. That being said, I'm probably gonna wait on Tsukihime for the newer version that's being made. But Noble Works is now at the top of my list(Just gotta finish the continuation routes in Majikoi S).
  4. As it says, I need something a little different. And what's this thing that's different? Maids. I have over 60 VNs on my laptop, and only one of them has a maid-like heroine(Grisain no Kajitsu). So, I need something that will satsify my desire for maids. Preferably something with an actual maid, and more that one. I can handle just one maid, but there are two things that I can't budge on. 1) It has to have been translated to English. I only just started learning Hiragana, so I'm not even close to being able to think about reading a VN that hasn't been translated. 2) It has to be 18+. And this ain't for the obvious reason.Granted that is one of the reasons. That being said, hit me with your best shot please.
  5. I tend to hold off on selection until after I've finished the show/game/vn that she's in. Let's me see how they start off personality wise, and how much they change. Looks are never really a factor for me since only one of the three has traits that I'm attracted to. But even then, she seriously lacks in the height department.
  6. Kinda standard. My laptop's background is a bit more interesting.
  7. The most I can think of is this. But then again, the voices are so heavily accented that's it's really hard to tell what they're saying without the text half the time.
  8. Yandere. I like a good yandere as much as the next guy, but that's too many in one setting for me.
  9. Confession: I used to have a sister complex so I have a habit to go for the imouto types in VN. ...Don't judge me...
  10. Well there goes my go-to for anal. I was gonna suggest the Majikoi series, but... Yea... So maybe Bible Black if you haven't read that one. It has quite a bit of anal, but it's not always starting out as consensual. And the guy doesn't exactly have a fetish for it, just hormones that are out of control. ...At least in some cases.
  11. Mine was taken from my favorite video game character's name, Mystearica Aura Fende(Tear Grants) from Tales of the Abyss. Mystearica was too feminine, I'm a guy so..., so I changed it to Mistearea to sound a bit more masculine.
  12. That's it exactly! Although I could have sworn it was much longer than that.
  13. I'm not sure. When I had to stop reading it, it was on the same group that it started out with. And even back then, when it was still ongoing, there were quite a few chapters I needed to read.
  14. First off, if this isn't the right place for something like this, I apologize and accept any and all responsibility/punishment. Now then, for why I even made this thread. Some years ago I was reading this manga that I had to stop for various reasons. Now that I have the chance, I'd love to read it all the way through. Problem is, I can't remember the name... I remember what it's about, but that's it. That's why I'd love for someone to read what I remember and try to tell me what it is. It's a romance type, only not a traditional type. The story is that in order to combat declining birth rates, Japan has set up this system where once a year everyone that is 18 gets together and gets sent on this camp/retreat sort of thing in order to try and find the person they are to get married to. The folks are divided up into groups with equal male/female where they stay and live/work for a time. During this time they are divided up into boy/girl pairs for their various jobs. This whole system has become so successful, that the people of Japan have gotten to where they believe that if a couple gets together outside of this program that they are not true lovers and will just break up later down the line. Also, those that go to the program and fail to come back engaged(that's how you leave the program early), you are essentially a waste of a human. As for the actual story(the group that it follows), I left off where the protag and the heroine uncover a plot from one of the girls to decline any proposal, which makes the rejected one move to a new group to try again, until the man that she was in love with is shuffled into her house. That's essentially all that I remember from it, and I'm sorry if it's not enough info to go on. But thank you for taking the time to read this, and possibly even giving me the title that has eluded me for so long.
  15. You can, but the legality of it varries from place to place. Or so I hear. With the older ones you can download an emulator and then download roms of the games. But to give an idea on the legal status of it, I THINK that it's legal to do that here in the US so long as neither the game nor system are for sale to the general population. That being said, emulators for newer consoles such as the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii are illegal since you can still go to pretty much any store and buy those. Same goes for the games.
  16. Thanks again for the welcomes from the newer responders. Favorite VN would have to be Grisain no Kajitsu. It's really simple with the choices, seeing as how ever one of them makes a difference and there's not many, and the stories were all quite enjoyable to me. Not to mention that it made me laugh so hard that it hurt. And funny you should mention the Tales of series. I actually own every PS3 Tales games. Currently working on Xillia 2 and Zesteria. And I'll keep that in mind with the reccomendations. ...As soon as I get through my backlog, which consists of roughly 15 right now that I have yet to 100%. ...One of them has so many endings that it just gets tedious though...
  17. Let me see... Recently finished my first playthrough of Cold Steel 2, so now I'm working on replaying Persona 4, Mass Effect Trilogy(for the umpteenth time), XBLAZE Code:Embryo(not sure if that one counts as a game and not a VN though), Tales of Zesteria and Tales of Xillia 2. And assuming I don't rage quit on it again, I'll be trying my hand at Republic Commando to see if I can get pass a certain area.
  18. Thanks for the welcome, folks. As for the games, it depends on the medium. On my PS3(I know, it's old) I've got almost nothing but JRPGs. PC I use mostly for a few shooters right now like Boderlands, Payday 2, Republic Commando and a modded out Skyrim with a MOBA and even an MMO thrown into the mix.
  19. Considering how many I'm going through right now(last I counted, it was three) short is a major plus right now. So with that, you basically just solidified it's spot for me. Now I just gotta find it. Thanks for the endorsement, mate.
  20. If you're willing to overlook a few details, maybe Majikoi? The MC is physically weak(it's a running joke that all the guys let all of the girls do the fighting), but his mind tends to be sharper than the others. Which is kinda why his nickname is The Tactician. As for the Heroine, there are multiple, but one of them fits your requirements almost perfectly. She's not only called "Onee-san" by the MC, but one of the other heroines is her little sister. The portion of the temple she lives in is fairly close to what you want. The only thing that completely goes off base is how she fights. She doesn't use any weapons. She fights with her fists. As for the teasing, she does that nearly every time she's got a part. If nothing else, maybe put it to the side for when you need a laugh? It's extremely funny.
  21. I'm in a similar situation. Roughly 95% of the list I've either read through already, in progress or are on my backlist and just needs a click to open the program. There's a few others that fit different reasons, but that's too many to list. But I might check out Phenomeno. I've been a fan of the artist ever since I first saw Serial Experiments Lain.
  22. Howdy, y'all. Mistearea here! Just call me either Mist or Tear, I go by both. Came here mostly because out of everyone I interact with, I'm the only one that really has an interest in VN. ...Granted I did introduce a friend's fiance to the medium a few weeks ago, and she seemed rather interested. Anyways, I'm currently a NEET that is slowly working on a novel while trying to find a job and new games I can try. I can't exactly help with any projects going on, so the most I could ever do is be a supporting type. ...Unless proofreading is still a viable option.
