  3. MITCH!!!! No one noticed we're all admin until you pointed out. Now we reverted back to being pleb!!!
  4. ?!!何ぃーーー That Admin tho will be missed, I'm 120% more sexy now
  5. Hey, it's good to see an otome game with a flirty MC for once! ...But I'm not digging the art too much. Yes, the MC is pretty, but the boys seems weird somehow. In Little Miss Lonesome the art wasn't the best and it seems it became somewhat worse in this game I'm not satisfied with the h CGs either, naked girl and clothed guy is so galge, blergh.
  6. Steampunk + otomege???? Super sold on Steam Prison!!!!! I'm also interested in Kindred Spirits, I didn't read it yet, so I'll wait until I can read it in full glory.
  7. In one particular thread about otome games, fellow Fuwan Plk_Lesiak said something that made me think. "It looks like a lot of japanese otome games are written by men" (along these lines). I can't really describe why is that, but I have the same feeling. But hey, maybe we're both wrong so I decide to do a little research. I looked into the team of some big japanese otome companies and tried to find their scenario writers. Here's what I found! For Otomate: Code:Realize, a very popular JP otomege, was written by five people and the main one is Nishimura Yuu, a male who's a freelancer LN writer. In the game's fandisc though, that's more romance oriented I should add, a woman named Kojima Nao is credited instead. Collar x Mallice was written by three people, two of them I couldn't find information about their gender. The remaining one, Sahara Yuki, is a woman. She also helped with Rejet's Black Wolves Saga, Ken ga Kimi and Bad Medicine. The director is also a female. Kokuchou no Psychedelica was written by a team of three females and also directed by a female. 7'scarlet is the first one I found that only one person is credit. And this person is Kanazawa Tomio, male. Period Cube also has a single person credited: Seki Ryouko, female. Amnesia was written by two females. For Rejet: Tokyo Yamanote Boys (at least the first one because it's such a long series) was written by one male and one female. Tiny x Machinegun's plot was written by Yamada Yuumi, female. The Dot Kareshi series also have multiple writers, but the main one for the 2nd and 3rd games (the best ones imo) is Urai Anna, female, nice comedy there girl I loved that game. There's way more games here with very little information about the writer compared to Otomate... For Honeybee: Re:Birthday Song, jeez, there are ten people credited there, at least the three main ones are female. Ayakashi Gohan, same as above. Starry Sky series have less writers, but still, all of them are female. For Kalmia8: No info about Little Miss Lonesome or Kami-sama Nante Yondenai!, but Torikago no Marriage was written by two females. One look at its VNDB page and you'll see how different the latter is in comparison with the other two games. It doesn't even seem like it's by the same company! For Karin Entertainment (this is not as famous, but just to do a comparison): Princess Nightmare and Eikoku Tantei Mysteria were written by one female (the same one, in fact). Zettai Meikyuu Himitsu no Oyayubi-hime and Danzai no Maria were written by two females. So, what can I say after all this research? It seems that as the company gets bigger, we have less females, less information and more Frankenstein's creature of a plot, dear lord, I couldn't get over ten people yet...
  8. DISGAEA!!!!!! I loved that game cutscenes too, but god, it was so grindy. Nice interview! I downloaded Romance Detective already and I'll probably get Syrup later on too! Short and free, what's not to love about her itch.io page, right?
  9. It's not that perfect, since it also lists ongoing projects and future releases, but in your search choose English in the Language tab and Japanese in the Original Language tab.
  10. Straight romance and pureness in the same sentence????? BLASPHEMY!!!! Orakana, keep shipping your girls together Yuri Knights, I'll join your fight Just leave my boys alone so I can ship them together
  11. F/SN in 2014. As for how I went for it, I explained it in this thread:
  12. My one and only waifu is Mitsuru Kirijo from Persona 3
  13. Here's my opinion on the matter: No, it actually adds. Of course, the answer shouldn't be painfully obvious, but I seriously dislike too many leaps in logic or impossible to predict bullshit. I'm not saying I have to deduct everything, but if I don't, I want to go "seriously? how did I not noticed that before????". Not a "must have", but I tend to prefer less open as possible. Flags are annoying, but I know that's very hard to avoid all of the death flags already made. EVERYTHING can be a death flag nowadays. A loner suddenly make his first friend? He'll die so the loner can angst. Showing a family photo? The guy's gonna die. A character that was the same through the entire novel suddenly got an epiphany? Death death death. In fact, it's more amazing when a "flagged" character does manage to survive.
  14. Hey, welcome! I used to mess with UTAU a lot, but not so much lately. Did you have your own bank? And, in the future, you should definetly tell us how you "accidentally" played School Days!
  15. Hey, reading VN along with a friend is the only way to go for me, any VN becomes fun with two morons reading it at the same time! As for suggestions: - Dot Kareshi series is an otome that focus more in comedy (poking fun at RPG tropes) than romance; - Any short game with the "High Amount of Bad Endings" tag. Playing those without a guide is very fun, just try to reach the ending! (I tried an otome called "Monochrome Heaven", it's story is pretty shoujo cliché, but there's like five or six ways to die in the common route alone) - So bad it's good games like "John Cena's Sexy High School Adventure" or "Señor Volky McLupinstein and the League of Extraordinary Dentists" (I played this last one and my god that voice acting is gold)
  16. This actually interest me greatly. And it's just as solidbatman said above, if you write the 18+ parts with care and to serve the plot, not simply shoehorning it in, by all means, do it! But if you want to do a story also fully revolving around the 18+ parts, that's okay for me too! Sometimes I have that feeling too. It would be cool to have more "by girls, for girls" VNs, without "trying to appeal to male readers too to sell more". There's some OELVNs that do a good job with this, and I'm thankful for that. Of course, I like those JP Otomes too, but something different once a while is surely refreshing. And, as the good and pure horny girl I am, I only ask to make the nude guys fully visible, it's only half the fun only showing the girl. K, thanks, bye!
  17. When I said tame, I meant the sex scenes serves more to develop the romance than to be sexy or kinky. It's explicit enough, but it's handled in a very gentle way. This is true for one of the routes. The other one is a bit rape-y so I recommend staying away from it.
  18. Fashioning Little Miss Lonesome is pretty funny. Sakuya is super cute and tame, even if one of the routes in the 18+ version is... infuriating. Yoshiwara Higanbana is untranslated but is a good drama.
  19. I can't like anything more today, but I fully agree with this.
  20. Due to technical problems, I didn't write my own answer Mine is very similar to this, except I never rate anything a 10 (nothing is perfect), and I never read anything that was 5 or lower because I don't even bother with things I know all too well I will not enjoy.
  21. I was curious about this for a while, but how do you guys rate your VNs (in VNDB, in mental notes, etc?)? Do you like to give it a numerical value or just "this one is good" or "this one is bad"? Do you use decimals in VNDB scores? Do you rate things you dropped?
  22. ^ Currently nothing, but I just started my masters. In uni I hated anything geotechnics tho. < I need more time to read manga... v You're trapped in a harem anime and you're not the MC. What would you do?
  23. Okay, I found this thing again, a nukige that took the unseen MC to another level. From Sensei o Haramaseyo! ~Hiyoko no Noroi de Toumeika Suru Ore!?~
  24. Best of luck to you, man!!! Go get that job!!!
