Yeah I had this teacher back in 7th grade that I had the hots for, which is context is pretty creepy considering that there are many teachers that prey on middle school/high school boys and end up becoming pregnant because of that. Or vice versa

PERFECT IN EVERY WAY!!!

From out of nowhere echoes a distant voice that pulsates through the air. The voice gently cries Ranzo lives. One by one different voices take on the cry, black winged carrion of the sky, tides of frenzied rats bursting from dwellings underground, writhing centipedes fighting for a early death, vicious looking horrors deep down fathoms below, all take up the cry! Ranzo lives still!

Five years worth of Ranzo if you are fortunate and keep the pyres burning and the sacrifices constant.

Who are some good characters who got disappointing routes?
Ranzo replied to VirginSmasher's topic in Visual Novel Talk
I think Lucia's and Akane's routes were the best ones in Rewrite in terms of story and pacing though Lucia's ending dragged on way to long. Yeah Shizuru was another one who deserved a better route. It ended way to abruptly and the flash forward/flash back was pretty jarring and it really hampered my investment in her story. That's what you get for dining and dashing Maggie This post is officially the devil. THE END TIMES ARE APPROACHING!!! -
Who are some good characters who got disappointing routes?
Ranzo replied to VirginSmasher's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Kotori Kanbe from Rewrite I think she was a really funny, well written character but I feel like she was really short changed by her route. I'd say she is definitely the best main girl that Key has ever designed. It was mostly a introductory route and it really had a abrupt ending. I think she deserved much better. -

What are the characteristics of an amazing visual novel?
Ranzo replied to Happiness+'s topic in Visual Novel Talk
Excellent characters are first in foremost in my mind when I think of a amazing vn. If it doesn't have that then it's just doomed from the start. A story that can really grip me from the moment I start it up. I want to be drawn in immediately give me something that I want to come back to. Good writing that is not overly focused on cliches, I'm fine with them being used on occasion but don't just give me nothing but that. Something utterly unique to that particular Visual Novel is another hallmark of a excellent vn. Whether it is unique setting, unique characters, unique story, unique art style give me something I have not seen a hundred bloody times. Finally, a great art style is a component that most truly excellent vn's share. Voice acting isn't a must when it comes to whether or not I think a visual novel is truly special but it does help. -

This is actually really beautiful and poetic. "I just want to think that something great is in there, in those... voids...and I'm real."

@MaggieROBOT Yas girl sing it! I have no problem with old vn's in any particular way I think they are still worth checking out if you are a fan of the medium. Tsukihime and Ever 17 are both what you might called old (2000 and 2002) and I would say they are definitely two of my most favorite Visual Novels. Of course, the main problem with a lot of older Visual Novels is that they are hard to run on new computers but that is true of video games as well. As far as the aging art style goes would you be reluctant to check out a highly praised anime just because it was made in the late 80's early 90's? The oldest I ever went was when I played True Romance which was a dating sim that came out in 95. Even though it was bare bones in every respect it still had a stupid charm about it that I liked.

So uh and welcome to Fuwa, I hope you have a fabulous time! It's always good to have another Fate/Stay Night fan around and hopefully you enjoy Tsukihime when you get to it But yeah I heard that Innsmouth is just full of Fishmen, just wall to wall Fishmen.

How did you manage to kind of like Sumika in extra? All she does is screech and bleat at you the entire time
-
Have you seen Strawberry Panic yet? That's a yuri classic. Oh and have you ever read any yuri manga? So what's this vn you are making? What's it about? Are you doing the illustrations yourself?
-
Yeah I really hated Extra as well. Unlimited made it a little better but they still had pretty garbage characters to work with.
-
Oh so you know my pain, well it's good not to be the only one
-
This is the worst ever I never officially played it but I read the whole LP off Major/Minor on Something Awful and it was a complete failure in every conceivable way Other than those I guess Lightning Warrior Raidy 2 and Yandere were the worst after those

Are you actually offering happiness or is it just drugs, and if so, can I have some? Oh and when you mentioned getting jumped was it by these girls? Anyway welcome to Fuwa! I hope you enjoy your time here! I never knew Newgrounds actually released a vn that is surprising. I knew some people on there put out a few dating sims or 50. Nice profile pic by the way
