Still waiting for Evenicle but I was also interested in this one. Mainly because I really like the design. So just by looking at vndb, will this game swap protagonists back and forth during the story or we can decide or what?

Hmmm that's a hard one. Most translated VN-s I read has at least one of the things you don't want. I guess I second G senjou and maybe recommend Deardrops.

Jup both Majikoi and S has a true route which can be accessed after clearing the main heroines. They are mostly story driven routes with plenty of action and most of the cast also take part in them. I wouldn't call them ecchi, there are scenes but the main story clearly took the focus. I can't really comment on the top routes, because there are a good number of them and I pretty much liked all except the Tatsuko, Margit routes. Also there is a certain heroine who I really liked but she got completly ignored in her route and I even forgot for a time that I was technically playing her route

Well the MC is just a smart, but lazy student. If I remeber correctly Light was pretty much a child prodigy.

Ohhhhh...Tatsuko and Margit has a route in S yes, but those were the worst ones in my opinion. As far as I remember they are just filled to the brim with H scenes and barely any plot. Those routes are the reason why I don't like S as much as the original. At least Margit has an after route in one of the A discs, and it features her whole squad so that looks interesting.

Well...have you ever watched Historys Strongest Disciple Kenichi? Momoyo and another few characters are similar to the masters in that. You better of just accepting, that most of the world is normal and there are a few people who are on Dragon ball Z level. Just don't overthink it

Yeah in S there are routes which are good, there are routes which are dissapointing because there is no story and mainly consist of H scenes, and there is a route where you forget there was even a heroine XD The first game doesn't have that problem luckily. As for Yamato yeah he is smart, cunning and down to earth. I would say the network of friends and favors he has is his main strenght. He isn't a bad protag but honestly by the end of A2 I got really bored of him. It's also ridiculous how he can get every girl in the game Well if you don't want donkan, weak protagonists then Minatosoft isn't the best company for that. The protags in their games aren't bad or oblivious but having physically weak protag and strong heroines who turn completly submissive in bed is kind of their thing (at least in the games I have heard about)

The only idea I have is, instead of setting the system to japanese use a program which lets you run individual exes in japanese. There were a few games where tha game gave me jiberish but I could still hook out the actual text. Using a program instead of setting the locale fixed it. I doubt it will work since you seem to have a different problem but worth a try.

Thanks at least now I can hope for a release in 2018

I don't really know enough about VN releases, so it feels wierd to me that they announce two new games, when there are several 100% translated and edited games, without any release date. By the way, are there any news about those? I'm interested in Evenicle but don't know anything about it expect that it's fully translated and edited. I'm not really interested in these two. Might check out Bitter Exculsion because of the wierd description.

Interestlingly I just finished Runas route in hatsukoi and the first H scene was so awkward it actually felt charming. I think when there are H-scenes in a game it gives some depth to the relationships and when I don't really want to watch them then I just skip it. To me when a game is missing the H scenes it feels like some content was cut and it annoys me, but I'm just wierd that way.

I looked up a japanese walkhtrough when the game came out and just droped the game after. That wakthrough basically gave me an A and B routes and the different endings you can get during the routes. At the start you pick Naja by default (this is the point I looked it up). Just by the walkthrough and what I read somewhere, this game doesn't have the basic "make choices lock on to heroine and go down her route" style, as SeniorBlitz said it has scenarios that focuses on heroines. They had a good slice of life with monstergirls story going at the start but fucked it up completely. Hell the spidergril doesn't even get a normal ending even though he is featured as a main heroine.

Hmm I don't have much interest in western VN-s, maybe because I never encountered anything good, but it doesn't mean I'm not open for the idea. I would gladly check out what you write if you start this. Why not try doing it for a few months and decide after that if you want to continue or not?

Hmm I were aware that this game existed but never checked it out. Is it really that good? I already read Kira Kira and Deardrops (and will read the cloab VN if I get in the mood) and I'm reading Edelweiss at the moment. I will read all the Overdrive games if this continues

I read around a route and a half so far. I liked the common route which focused on the gorup a lot and not just the protag. I don't think it can reach GB-s humor, because that is on a godly level, and I will be happy if I find something that can recreate that , but I still had fun with it. To me they just felt like believable friends. They mess around with or help each other out. As for the humor it's the usual unpopular group of guys do something stupid and perverted thing and suffer from it, or try to act cool and mess up.

I second Kagome from Comyu. Sousou (and maybe some other characters) from Koihime Musou. Hmmm maybe Haishera from Ikusa Megami Zero but that is a heavily edited machine translation, and more story focused. This is more of a mention than a recommendation.

Didn't finish reading it yet but I think Edelweiss has a good amount a bros in it. It has a group of friends with some good friendly banter between them. Now that I think about that there aren't many games (at least amongst the ones I read) where the friends get the focus forr at least a little while. This and majikoi are the only ones that I can remember right now.

Yup this was an .... experience. Also interesting how this game started to go around youtube, people saying left and right that it's crazy. It's nice when an interesting game is getting some coverege but knowing what to expect also kills of the surprise a little.

Looks like a regular dating sim. Can't really say much form the few pictures I saw If nothing else I really like the art style so I will check it out if/when it's finished.

Still reading Hatsukoi 1/1. Kinda wierd because I want to read it but most of the time I'm not in the mood to read if that makes any sense Doesn't really help that I started with Runas route and it just hurts to read. I feel sorry for her and want to slap her at the same time.

Interesting to see how the point of this topick was SakuraGames shitty business practice, but it turned into the developer being an asshole. I don't really see his point but it's his work so he can decide what he wants to do with it. Even if it sounds rude. As for SakuraGame, well ... I'm not surprised.

Oh this looks quite nice and seem to have it's own style. I will definitely try this out.
