  1. I got some of these bundles myself, but having such an abundance of games to play I have not really touched them. I'm planning to do smth like Stream projects or articles where I play like 5-10 of these random games, but so far I didn't get to do it yet. I did have played a lot of these games outside of the bundling context though. I have shared the post around, let's hope more people answer
  2. On the topic of speedrunning, this is one of the most impressive vids I have seen.
  3. @marcus-beta, @AtomCrafty and @HerbalNekoTea are such aces.
  4. This channel is absolutely amazing, truly a nerd heaven.
  5. I heard from someone involved that the project is still alive. Progress I was not told about though.
  6. Believe me, I am most familiar with osu and GN is one true enigma. Great submission my dude!
  7. The Publisher Spike Chunsoft has announced that the pre-orders for the newly at Nintendo Direct announced game from the DanganRonpa creators called Master Detective Archives RainCode are opened. You can fulfill the pre-order for the Standard and the Mysteriful Limited Editions now! Are you interested in more games that follow the DanganRonpa formula? Does the artstyle vibe with you? Comment below!
  8. You're a fucking legend. I would not have thought that the first genuinely formatted walkthrough that gets posted here is one of the most anticipated (well now appreciated) game. You are an absolute G and you deserve a medal! Do you plan making more guides of this kind? I'll help you finding ppl who would help contributing!
  9. My week is indeed wonderful! But my life is a wonderful everyday!
  10. I voted for Angelic Serenade as I am using this all the time, but I love the Gekkou no Carnevale design too. That being said, how about submitting new ones... after a decade LOL
  11. This could be a super interesting thread to revive, ngl.
  12. Back then I had a really cute himecut-wearing otome-liking girlfriend who turned out to be batshit insane after there was some conflict between me and her parents. She dragged me into the Otome-Game "Amnesia" and then my interested developed from there. My first true passion for VNs started when I got randomly drafted on facebook by @Sinned (who was the leader of the German Touhou Community we ran a decade ago) as a staff/admin member to our German website https://www.visual-novel.info and the rest is history.
  13. Not the best girl in Re:Zero, because that is Emilia! (or Beatrice)
  14. @Rain Spectre is a hero we didn't deserve.
  15. I was extremely invested in this post because while it is a cheap copypasta edit, it has some prophetic qualities. In fact, some of the sentences in it have actually been said to me before and I've dealt with said toxicity as a consumer and as an enthusiast of VNs in all languages that I can read. It is funny how there is always a bit of truth in every joke. Maybe, since this is definitely relevant again we can take this shitpost and seriously discuss how to end the cyclical JOP-is-the-only-way-and-if-you-don't-you-better-kill-yourself-boke rhetoric. It causes the toxicity we see in the scene and I won't stand for it, even as someone who is not necessarily impacted by it.
  16. Well, a friend of mine, @Hiromi just watched the anime movie adaption of Planetarian and he considered it very good
  17. There has been a time where I was hard coping with life and I wanted to watch as much anime in a short timespan as I could, so I decided to watch anime at 1.5x speed to binge a show quicker. This actually permeated into my methods watching standard YouTube which is now at 1.75x,. Unfortunately, the community I was in back in the day (The Anime Man Discord) absolutely did not appreciate my way to watch anime this way and they gatekept me like "If you watch the show like this, you are not a true fan" which contributed to my hate against gatekeeping. These days I watch them again at normal speed. Back in the day the motivation was actually to have watched a LOT of anime so I could start an animetuber channel and actually have some broad knowledge. It did not work in my favour.
  18. nyatata!
  19. What The Fuck ? There's no way dude!
  20. Man, Poppy sounds cool. But my first association was this other artist that is called "That Poppy"... uncreative names, not even once! Full Girl-Lead power ahead!
  21. I want to recommend this trip of an anime. The writer (Otaro Maijo) creates insane avant-garde stories, so this anime is no exception. You will not even get what is going on for half the time, but it is so exciting all the time. Truly a masterpiece. I also recommend this to everyone who likes Anime, but this anime itself likes Anime. As in the medium and uses its total strengths.
  22. If you have followed the TGS2022 and did not get overwhelmed, then you are probably made of steel and you have capacities that I would be proud of. There have been more than 470 companies present and most big publishers and AAA companies announces a ton of amazing things. This definitely overwhelms our website's field of interest, so we told @Hiromi to go research a little into the relevant part for us. And hey, the amount of shown (not exclusively announced there) new visual novel projects is still overseeable. Without further ado, let's begin! So, I've done some research. English sources seem to focus on AAA titles like CoD and Tekken. And when they do bring up anime style games, these are mostly RPG and action games. I googled "TGS 22 ノベルゲーム" and was rewarded with some discoveries: Indies 1) Binary Syndrome https://store.steampowered.com/app/2003300/_/ PC-98 style ADV. The game system reminds me of titles you find on Asenheim (Ring Out, Scoop titles, etc.) (so obscure it is not even on VNDB LOL) 2) Coffee Talk Ep. 2 https://store.steampowered.com/app/1663220/Coffee_Talk_Episode_2_Hibiscus__Butterfly/ Pixel art OELVN. VA-11 Hall-A, but as a barista. Not newly announced, but not released yet. Slated for 2023. 3) Ihanashi no Majo https://store.steampowered.com/app/1950570/_/ "Kinetic Novel" with around 10 hr length. Cute art. A boy moves to an island in Okinawa and meets a tanned girl from overseas. (JP/CH only Download release in October!) 4) Trolley Problem Inc. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1582680/Trolley_Problem_Inc/ Text adventure with narrative choices. Philosophical themes and dark humor. (Not on VNDB, most likely doesn't qualify? Out for a while now, still interesting. Even got a video by xqc) 5) Chigau!!!+ https://studio-thursday.work/chigau+/#/ Orthodox Bishoujo-ge... But with meta elements like DDLC: Some heroines remember what happens in their own route, even when you're in another girl's route. These are some of the indie VN titles which were represented on the TGS in the section Indie Games Selection. https://tgs.nikkeibp.co.jp/tgs/2022/jp/contents/indie81.html I think I've caught all the VNs from these 77 titles. That's barely 6% of the total. Big announcements 6.) Aoishiro & Akai Ito After like 20 years, there is a remaster bundling Akai Ito & Aoishiro in one for Switch & PC. We have already seen this announcement in another thread and the VNTS, but it might be worth announcing it here too. It contains Mystery-Folklore setting with gay girls. Also it supports English language! 7. Seabed Audio Novel Collection Speaking of gay girls, @PhleBuster(Fruitbat Factory) was also at TGS2022 and they announce that they will be releasing the Seabed Audio Novel Collection. It has been translated by Steiner, so it will be more quality. The original game is a Conjueror work, rip him Here's everything. While only the last two are proper announcements and the other games earlier were just showcased in that event, I still believe just for Aoishiro & Akai Ito this year's TGS was worth it. Maybe it is also worth it to keep paying attention to such events in the following years..? Missed anything? Please comment!
  23. So does this tell us indirectly that the Planetarian license from Sekai Project ran out? Like a Navel and MangoGamer situation?
  24. planetarian HD's translation history has been a big mess for the international market because it somehow had multiple European translations bundled into it, including a German one by Visual Arts themselves. The issue here was that this game - to this point - did not have English nor Japanese text included. I don't get what the hold-up was. It took 4 years between the release of a French and Spanish version and now the English and Japanese ones completed the package. You can buy planetarian HD here.
