  1. Hello user with similar name as mine! What are your favorite titles or other things that you have played? Six years is a long time. Welcome and have fun!
  2. Please someone stop this from happening or I'll lose all hope in the Japanese companies that sell their licenses to absolute quacks.
  3. I see some titles recommended here that I didn't see being mentioned for beginners before, that's interesting. Thank you for making the list, as I am about to start playing again (or at least try not dropping) untranslated games. It's always helpful to have more lists~ Tried reading before with Nanatsuiro★Drops (very easy and voiced MC in some parts, but it's not the most interesting story in the world so I ended dropping it halfway.) And I am planning now to try again with Hoshizora no Memoria, since I am more interested in the characters and mystery of this game. Plus, I agree with @sanahtlig, having gameplay really helps you to 'refresh' after walls and walls of text. Finding one that has easy tutorials is another thing, tho. I'm shooting in the blind here, but perhaps would be Rance Kai 01 easy to read and have a relatively simple gameplay? Please correct me if I am wrong, l want to know this too ;_; (I tried playing Baldr Sky with this in mind, but I am honestly not sure if the VN can be considered an 'easy read'? Opinions?) ...And I also don't know the difference between hard utsuge and soft utsuge, I can only suppose that one will make you weep and enter in despair really hard and the other would be more gentle with you heart, haha. Edit: I am blind and didn't see that you had already recommended some moeges/charages.
  4. Can someone please shine some light for me about what is happening or happened with fuwa that everyone in this post seems really anxious? XD
  5. I plan to do so and I already cried a lot playing the other routes, even already knowing about them. Kotomi in particular made me bawl like a baby for straight 20 minutes in my bed. It was so beautiful... I will definitely finish CLANNAD someday and I'm sure that I'll be touched, it's just hard to do it at once because it's such a long story with a lot of parts that I know, so I get bored and delay finishing it, hehe. I will! Thank you very much for the tip <3
  6. CLANNAD: I really love KEY's titles as I have already played Kanon, Little Busters, Planetarium and watched Angel Beats. But being spolied by friends from what happens in the after-story and watched the first season of the anime makes it very difficult for me to finish this one. By now I managed to play Kyou, Ryou, Misae, Komura, Yukine, Tomoyo, Mei, Kappei endings. I'm missing now just Nagisa's route and the After Story. But this is a battle that has been happening since 2014. I really love the humor and the characters but knowing what is going to happen and being such a long novel makes it hard for me... Someday I'll still put an end to this battle! Grisaia: The summary got me hooked. The common route not so much. Yeah, the comedy is fun sometimes, but... I was not expecting a slice of live comedy... I know that it gets better later but the common route at the time that I played seemed so unnecessarily massive and somewhat pointless that I just got tired... Someday I'll also try playing this again while preparing myself better to not be disappointed expecting anything different from the beginning. Eien no Aselia: Somehow I got myself stuck in a battle and cannot proceed in the game. I also lost the laptop that had my save on it, so unless I use the hack for making the battles easier and somehow somehow steam saved my progress on cloud, it's unlikely that I'll finish this. Littlewitch Romanesque: I love this game and I also suck on it. So I'm always missing one or two required skills in the last year to complete an character quest. But since I really like the gameplay system, I'll probably keep trying until I finish it! (I also admit that I didn't try too hard to complete it...)
  7. After being away from the Visual Novel world for a long time, I'm reading Supipara, chapter 1. A shame that I will never know the end of the story since minori is no more... A little off-topic but I'm also really happy that the Irotoridori Kickstarter campaign was successfull, I can't wait to play it when it is complete!
  8. Besides watching anime, browsing the internet and playing video-games I enjoy Lolita and Yami Kawaii fashion. I just bought my first dresses but still have to save up money to complete my cords and go out with them I draw as a minor hobby, even if I still have a lot go to get satisfied with my art It's fun to watch videos of cats and otters (yes, otters) doing random things on YouTube I love riding metros because in my hometown we kinda don't have them, so, whenever I am in Toronto I can have lots of silly fun riding the subways everywhere, yay The quiet atmosphere and the shaky feeling they give is so cool Trying random Japanese and Korean candies is so much fun too. I guess you could call that a hobby I used to be a student in Veterinary Medicine and biology is my passion and I loved learning more about the living organisms. But since I'm currently changing universities and courses to have a better life in Canada, that's kinda on-hold and I miss it a lot. It's not the same thing learning on the internet, I want to go into the labs again! (Hopefully, someday I will still graduate in Vet, this change is just a preparation for what is to come) Have a random Japanese otter to brighten up your day
  9. Hi hi! Welcome! It's a shame what happened to you. I have one friend which I can talk about visual novels in real life and I must admit, it's fun to have a casual talk with someone and just chat about your favourite parts or characters in the game... I hope that someday someone who shares the same interests with you appears, even if you can have tons of fun discussing VN's online! And I wish to get better soon in Japanese to immerse myself in the Untranslated works faster! Anyway, nice to meet you~ Are you currently reading something? What is your favourite work?
  10. Oh. I guess they put the page on air now because of the Island anime that's currently airing on Crunchyroll Gotta ride the hype to attract potential buyers! My bet is that Island is going to launch on the middle of next month Also, I think that Island is a promising title, the art style looks really nice and the theme of the game is appealing I probably won't play on the launch, but I pray to be a successful release!
  11. @Everyone Thank you! I already feel very welcomed here I'm still at the prologue chapter, on March 12, but the gore scene was pretty gruesome already so I fear for what's coming next Going completely blind at it too, so I'm looking forward even for the bad endings haha Thank you very much, I enjoy quite a lot the Liar soft games It's always nice to know another fan of Inganock I'm kinda in a dilemma now, I really want to read Shikokku no Sharnoth next, but I don't know if I should read the translation or wait until I get better at Japanese to have a better grasp of Sakurai's prose. I heard that the translation of Inganock was missing in some parts but still fine, but SnS didn't have the same luck... Do you know anything regarding that? Yes, I am! I was born in Minas Gerais and live in the capital, but I have been moving a lot between Canada and Brazil because of studies. From which state are you?
  12. Hello! My name is Karina, but you can call me Neko if you want, I'm 24 years old and I am a fan of visual novels since 2012. At that time, I didn't know VNDB very well, so Fuwanovel helped me a lot to find translated works and just getting to know Visual Novels better in general. Also, I always give preference to walkthroughs written here, because you guys make everything fancy and pretty to the eyes, that makes me want to use them lol! I'm quite shy and I'm still not used to chat in Forums, but since Fuwanovel seems to have a friendly community I decided to give it a try. I recently started to read Kara no Shoujo and have high expectations for it. The last works that I've read are: Subarashiki Hibi, eden*, MuvLuv and Hanachirasu My favourite novels are Inganock and Little Busters I'm slowly learning how to read Japanese and was reading Baldr Sky, but for some circumstances, that's currently on-hold. Anyway, nice to meet you! P.s: English is not my native language, so please forgive me if my English sounds too awkward!
