  1. Awesome man, I hope everything goes well in your project.
  2. Sigh, let me rephrase then, 1 artist will be able to do in 1 second what he does in 10 hours today
  3. No man, this is the birth of a new kind of art, it might substitute the old, it might coexist, we don't know, thing is that we have a lot to gain, people didn't complain about not needing to draw at stone with the invention of paper in the past so keep your head up and hope for the best. And as I said, I think this will more likely to be a tool for artists rather than completely replacing them(so 1 artist in the future will be able to do what 10 do today), but if it happens to replace them then it's just things evolving, doesn't bother me.
  4. Awesome, if this happens then VNs will become cheaper and quick to produce, CGs take tons of months to make so artists using better tools will be able to make anything in seconds
  5. Yeah man I understand what you mean and I already thought about that, but look anime for example, you might think that they are almost the same of the 90s, but I don't think this is the case, there are minor improvements like shades, light and such, and now the more extreme cases, for example Ufotable animes, they improved considerably in the visual department with F/SN, and other studios are trying to catch up like A1 Pictures with SAO Alicization, so I think there will be more similar animes in the future. Why controversial? Sorry I didn't understand. Seriously? Dammit, then we won't see any major improvements any time soon, more profit means more demand from the public, and more demand calls for more investment, if demand doesn't grow then VNs stall, I know it's Japan and companies there tend to be zombies that don't make any profit, but still.
  6. Makes sense, the chinese are the majority of the public right? Well, aside from this, I really hope in the future VNs will be much better than nowadays in some aspects, with better engines, better sprites, I don't know, VNs are becoming more and more popular.
  7. Things tend to evolve through the years, with new technology, new taste of the public etc, there are some aspects of VNs today that are better than the first ones made at the 80s(I just saw some CGs in VNDB), how do you think they will evolve? And how different will be the average future VN than the current average VN? Today I see a lot of high school students, will the future be different? I make a parallel with the movie industry, which is much older and the difference between today's movies and 1910's movies is brutal.
  8. I'll recommend my favorite VNs: TOP 1.Rewrite: My favorite VN, it's probably longer than Grisaia, awesome moments with awesome BGM, the story is really intriguing and mysterious, the romance is also pretty good, I really recommend this one, check out the sinopse and see if you like it:https://vndb.org/v751. TOP 2.Tsujidou-san no Junai Road: My second favorite, this one has the best romance in my opinion, it left me with diabetes, but you might dislike the protagonist, and no he is not pathetic in any way, just a bit out of place for the environment he finds himself in, either way I really recommend this one:https://vndb.org/v9879. TOP 3.Ever17-The Out of Infinity: It is the VN with the best plot twist I found so far, but you need to be patient, the game has 4 routes if I'm not mistaken with 3 being good and 1 being awesome, the characters are intriguing and you'll find yourself asking multiple times:"What the hell is happening here?":https://vndb.org/v17 TOP 4.11Eyes: Great VN with awesome battles and a very nice heroine (and a bitchy one also unfortunately), too bad the game doesn't have routes for each heroine, only endings, but it's pretty good:https://vndb.org/v729 TOP 5. Grisaia: Well, you already played the first so just go with the sequels then, Meikyuu isn't that good in my opinion but Rakuen is (for me at least since this one brings my favorite character to her full potential, which is Kazuki, despite how ridiculous the plot becomes), hell, Rakuen is awesome, all the heroines shine in this one, but the first game was the best one so expect less from the sequels. TOP 6.Kyonyuu Fantasy series: My favorite game here is Gaiden 2 but you can play all of them because all of them are good with best MC so far:https://vndb.org/v2762 TOP 8.Muv-Luv Series: Extra is meh, Unlimited is good, and Alternative is very good, you should definitely give it a try, talking about Alternative, it has the best villains I found in a VN in terms of danger, even the reader might shit himself reading this, the characters are good (one of them is awesome, and the protagonist is no slack either) and the combat is awesome:https://vndb.org/v93,https://vndb.org/v92. That's probably enough.
  9. Are you talking about Tsujidou? If yes then I couldn't agree more with you, when I was reading Ai's after story I spent as much time as possible reading and rereading each line (my rate was pressing Enter 1 time per 3 minutes ) before appearing the inevitable, horrible and cruel "FIN", but then it happened, the game FUCKING ENDED, it's such a shame that things tend to end, but at least this boosted my motivation to continue studying japanese, I think one day I'll learn it and be able to play Virgin Road, I'm still stuck in the basics but am able to understand some basic sentences. If you're talking about Aokana then the only thing I want is for Masaya to come back to FC, I finished all routes today and he doesn't play a single match which was a HUGE disappointment, the game even kept foreshadowing his match with Shindou, but for what? At least the romance is good, won't hurt seeing more of it in a sequel/fandisk/whatever.
  10. Is it better than the first game? I liked Evenicle's story and combat system overall, and some of the heroines, but I didn't like the protagonist, just the same person throughout the entire game with zero personality, and other heroines were a pain in the ass also.
  11. Since you brought this up, I didn't like this point in the story, what's the game explanation to this? The game isn't supposed to be a supernatural fantasy, so this didn't make any sense to me.
  12. Right now I'm replaying Tsujidou-san no Junai Road because this game's romance is the best so far until now for me and I can't get enough of it. But I need to end Aokana, I was almost finishing some weeks ago but got bored at some point in Asuka's route, and I stopped playing Misaki's route because I want to leave her for last since she is best girl, I'll come back to it after finishing my replay of Tsujidou, and I also started playing Chaos Child some months ago but stopped because college, I'll play it probably after finishing Aokana. I'm still hoping Masaya from Aokana will come back to FC and have his match with Shindou since he deserves it, and his reason for quitting is so fucking stupid, Masaya can't be that pathetic come on, he is the protagonist he needs to shine, this game will disappoint me if he doesn't restart playing FC.
  13. Well, anything that has zero romance is almost certain to be out of my radar, and the romance can be of any kind, it doesn't matter if it is unhealthy for the people involved as long as they're enjoying themselves (see Saya no Uta? That was beautiful), or if it is hard to believe (see those cases where you conquer the club prez 3 hours after meeting her, those are funny cases ), or any problem you can come up with in a love story, some ranting here: This is one reason I'm afraid of playing Umineko, people say it's good but it apparently doesn't have any romance, well I'll give it a try one day. Aside from this I think any route that the protagonist turns into a wimpy and stays that way until the end is bad, never saw that though. Oh, remembered one thing now, NTR is the absolute worst, I'll never read this kind of shit.
  14. Yes there is, for plot reasons, Muv Luv Unlimited is almost mandatory since without it you won't understand half of what's happening at the first half of Alternative, and won't get most of the references, and Muv Luv Extra is important because of: Another reason (but not necessary to understand the plot of Alternative) I give you to play Extra and Unlimited is Meiya, she is best girl in my opinion: That being said, you only need to play one route both in Extra and Unlimited to be able to enjoy Alternative at its fullest, a lot of the content is kind of useless and badly written.
  15. Who? I like proactive protagonists, especially in the romance department, and also who aren't useless during the entire game (this is what disappointed me the most in the 11eyes protagonist, he is not that useless, but he only does important things late in the game, but I like him either way, at least he acknowledges and does something about it, and I kinda wanted Hiroshi from Tsujidou being more useful in fights at some point but whatever, at least he pulls off some things the others can't), I also like when they have some kind of ability or secret the other characters don't, which makes them stand out, liking big boobs is a plus in my book also , well, my favorites are 2 since I can't decide just one: Kazami Yuuji from Grisaia: This guy is awesome, he is quite serious most of the time but is quite entertaining at dealing with strange/funny situations also, he is super strong and smart and solves the situation even when it seems impossible, but he struggles really hard and isn't just an invincible warrior, treats his girlfriends pretty well and does anything to protect them. Lute Hende from Kyonyuu Fantasy: This man is quite unique, he doesn't seem to be anything special at the beginning but then you start to see there is something off with him, he is actually capable of doing things that no one else can, I can't tell much since it will be spoiler, the way he responds to people is extremely entertaining also. Following those are Tomoya from Clannad, Hiroshi from Tsujidou, Kotarou from Rewrite, not necessarily in this order since it's hard to decide this. Well, I'd like to hear your opinion.
  16. OST is one of the things I pay most attention to while playing, my favorite VN in this regard is Rewrite, with Sorrowless, Sunbright, Carnage, Scattered Flowers, Scene Shifts There, Radiance, Black Star Sickness, Honest and Radiance being my favorite tracks in this game (the ones I remember at least), you can listen to them in this playlist> Some other games I like also is Aokana, Grisaia, Clannad, Dies Irae, from Aokana I like Misaki and Rika's themes, Gyakufuu no Koete, Hisomu Kage and Isshin Ittai. From Clannad I love Spring Breeze, and one OST I like a lot also is "Still I love you" from School Days: And my favorite OP is from 11Eyes:
